1. This minor loophole involves two MDShop bought features.
When the only messages you have in your inbox are ones hidden by this feature, the game thinks you have no messages available and accidentally locks you out of your own inbox saying you don't have any new messages- leaving you with no way to access the cloud and the messages inside, nor any way to access outgoing messages from that other feature either.
2. Speaking of which; NG1, G3 would put some pressure on him if you ask me.
3.
eh what about mp2s using pillars and getting out
That'll be great right up until everyone begins doing it and it becomes public knowledge, and that puzzle loses it's mystery forever.
4. Well... I guess I like the personal feel of setting each one myself, but I also like the way you think. o_O
5. I wasn't referring to just the Gazebo ya know. There's 3 or 4 others there that serve no purpose from what I can tell.
6. Get a G15. You can program a mouse click macro into it, set a left click for every 30 seconds and leave it on. Alternatively, listen to music and "click" to the beat.
7. It is the captain that honors me. :drinks:
8. To reveal all my machinations at the moment would be to destroy them. What I do know is that this /must/ happen, for many reasons. Cryxus is a grand captain and he will do this job well. The dissolving of the MRs has left a vacuum that must be filled, and Cryxus is set to explore the horizons with those that will follow him. It must be shown that no disbanding can kill the spirit of those that remain. If I can be a seat in this alliance, it may suit better to do so than to lay low much longer. I have friends here, after all. If you'd have me, Cryxy taicho.
9. Voted No: it'd be too harsh on anyone that hasn't trained a bunch of creatures or been around sacrificing them forever. I also voted for a set of creatures to pick from there if it did go through. I was ok at chess. Not a grandmaster, but good enough to be in the tournament. I would not exactly be ok with any of my pieces failing to do their job, many strategies in chess are reliant on one piece holding the line and if by chance that piece decides to lose the surprise attack that compromised your defenses I think the game would end in fire. But that's just me.
10. You know, there's an entire LHO vote system in place. Maybe RPCs could be given something similar for anyone that ISN'T an RPC. The players don't even have to know about it. An RPC can just silently tag someone that that think is doing a good or bad job. Votes can be silently reset and tallied every now and then. I don't know how you'd reward people without giving it away completely though, maybe there doesn't even have to be a reward for it other than recognition among some of the higher powers there.
11. I need the exact opposite. I need an automatic preset ritual maker. I run around at the moment with 6 (of 9) lovely young elementals that form a buffer for any rituals I actually care about. Thing is, every time one gets whacked, I get to rebind it's ritual. This is lessened in MP4, because of retreating, but it'd be nice to have.
12. Best RPC: Khalazdad For his performance during the opening of Necrovion. Least convincing alt: Lib01. I mean Lib02. Lib03? Lib04... Lib05... I'm going to have to go with that army of sequentially numbered "Libs", Liberty Best PWR: MRD Best Backstory: Granos Best Personal Papers: Envy of Endurance Oh yeah. I didn't forget about you. Most Valued protector: Khalazdad Outstanding MD Service award: Renavoid For helping me help MD advertise. Rookie of the year: DarkPriestess22, then. It was originally Cryxus but he went over the days limit for this. >< Best techie (Award for technical services rendered): DST Originally, I thought your in-game tag was referring to insects. True story. Most addicted award (Based on the ‘You know you’ve been playing MD too much when…): Yami She started it. Villain of the year: Jonn I got to see him light somebody on fire. Roleplay award: Innocence Good times.
13. *Votes New* *Checks everything* Might as well go wild with it. Location, though? Mm. That's a tricky one. I mean, the archives obviously fit well, but they're humongous enough as it is. Maybe one of those broken puzzles nearby could lead to the school itself. After all, it'd seem like a fitting enough "test."

Adventure Log 1.1

No biggie. It's often hard to tell tone through text. Leads to a lot of big ones in my experience.
15. "Insane regeneration" from the healer's tome cannot be cast successfully. "My life to yours" from the healer's tome has a few targeting bugs: -It can be cast upon anyone you have the name of from anywhere... but only at certain times, which we also can't identify. -It /must/ be using the playername list version of a target's name if they are using an illusion. Attempting to cast it on an original account name when the target is in a name changed illusion will cause the spell to fire, the target to not gain any effects, and the caster to lose the components. -An unknown effect is causing the animations and sounds that normally go with firing the spell to not play or display, and instead lock the user's interface for anywhere from 5 seconds to half a minute. At the moment it's being finnicky and now it's not lagging, but also refusing to play the effects either. Ended the night with another full lockup. So far those working on this are myself, Awiiya, and Shady Jester. I'm editing this as I go along >.>
16. I agree. I love it so far, and I enjoy offering advice.
17.
I'm guessing this involves a person's DNA as well.
There was a bug allowing attacks like this but I've been told they were fixed. As it stands though, this is a neat way to keep a little correspondents list for PMing.
18.
...However, part of the purpose of the (broken gazebo) puzzle was to evaluate how hard it was...
100/10?
Anyways, you don't have to be such an extremely hardcore roleplayer that you won't acknowledge something unless someone tells you about it in character...and if you want to be, why are you here talking about this at all? It's against your character to meta-game...
I'm here to tell you what I feel about your log.
You shouldn't take everything I say (or anyone..) so seriously and literally. Sure, to a character, Marind's Bell might be a large town. But, it's not like you can't easily say you ride a knator of impossible speed so that you can get anywhere quickly. The realm is large, but it's not so large that you can't take a step outside of the Sanctuaries that everyone holes up in and say "hello realm!"
What I'm saying is that it creates inconsistencies. Of course liberties can be taken to incorporate the AL into everything else. Of course it's affecting the game world. I can't explain knowledge of what was said 6 hours ago still floating in the air for others to see in game-either, but I call them whispers and let them go too. Did you read my post and get the point of it? I'm guessing you did from the response. I'm not taking your analogy literally, I'm using it because you're the one who set it up. I didn't think you'd mind so much. Sure, I don't have to be a roleplayer, but I think that's most of the point of the game isn't it? I don't feel comfortable with the tone of your post. It's almost like you're saying that my roleplaying style is bad because I'm trying to reinforce something that it looks like you're aware of or that even getting in-character once in a while is a bad thing.
Although, you'd be surprised how many people don't read the AL, or even know it exists...that you can astound with your knowledge of it. haha...
It's a nice little set of stories, don't get me wrong. There's simply no incentive. There's no incentive to sit and listen to anyone else either or play the game, but it's all a matter of what you find fun. The AL, while it might be expansive and a little bit interesting to watch affect the game once in a blue moon, is not something I'm keeping track of.
20. Part II took about half an hour, I've talked for longer to others and we kept interest- it's a story. If you're not going to stay for the whole thing, don't stay at all.
21. "Title" series: Name: Intangible, The flickering ones Possible titles: Influencers, Watchers, Ghosts of lives past Descriptions example: The almost-incorporeal are just a little bit see-through, just men and women, but spirits. They look normal at first and if one doesn't open their eyes to the truth will either be blind to them or blindly led by them. Creature reinforcements + ritual combinations: Barren, Hollow, and Aramor fit their style. Barren and Hollow are spirits themselves, and Aramor are basically sentient armor. Archer types may fit also but they're more solid than might be seen as fitting in. Role ideas: Combined tag: Intangible, Ghost-like Playername change: (... the wanderer,.. the incorporeal,.. the late,.. the dead ) Avatar: Either a ghost one, or none at all. Should probably be gender based as well. Perhaps current avatars could be set to 50% opacity or something to signify this one. Requirements: Time principle, Syntropy principle, possibly? As a requirement, I mean a base number needed, not necessarily consumed. Different idea: I got this thumbing through some of the other forum parts. I wonder if it'd be possible to change the looks of our creatures- their avatars, let's say. Not their stats, just have them regress/progress their pictures. Example: Aramor III picture changes to Aramor II picture, but nothing else changes. Edit2: I was thinking about the requirements up there, and this came to me. I wonder if base, principle based illusions could work. Say your main principle is Elements. If it's leading by 100 or so, you could have something like: "Title" series: Name: Archmage, Element master Possible titles: Flamebound, Ice Lord/Maiden, etc. Descriptions example: One who has mastered the elements so much, and has gained visible control over them, that now their forms waver with fire, water, and the basic elements of the world. Creature reinforcements + ritual combinations: Elementals. Role ideas: Combined tag: Archmage (again, idk) Playername change: ... the great Requirements: 100+ of Elements principle except for all of, or combinations of, the principles.
... Don't think of the AL as a changelog. Think of it as...rumors that you hear when you're sitting in a common room, enjoying your tea or coffee or water or beer. ...
It's near impossible to relate in-character what happens in the adventure log though, because if it isn't about something that's happening in a secluded area it's something that information of would sound very strange indeed. And if it is something that's easily common knowledge, I'm still almost reluctant to suddenly know it until told in-character because it almost feels cheap to do so. "You hear about what happened to phrog yet?" "Nah. Who'd you hear it from?" "...some... guy. At... the pub. Yeah." "..."
23. Before you say descriptions are unimportant and that listeners may lose interest, you must think carefully about that. A well placed description can not only help a listener draw the picture in their mind, it can help them connect internally with the scene or character. It's the way such things are done that count as well. Of course 3 pages of everything a character is is unimportant, the balance is fragile. I know you're doing it one line at a time of course, as much as will fit into the chat, and that even this could be an hour or so. It's food for thought. I'm not going to tell you how to tell your story- just what's made the impression so far, good or bad. A kidnapping is something you could expand the story on if you emphasized the personality of Tinnius, and then the line where Tinnius' name was programmed into Marvin wouldn't feel orphaned. Shock value can be used as a cliffhanger, but it never has to work alone like that final line does. Sometimes if the audience can see it coming it can be that much stronger, not boring. I do look forward to the next part, where I'm guessing the moral is conveyed. Like I said, this story type works- the buildups are supposed to be fast and come to a hard hitting end. It just felt a bit confusing since the story could really have gone either way from the way you've told it so far, so go for it.
24.
i have spoken with him and because the english is used as the "keywords" in the game engin much of it cannot be changed
Yeah, I suspect "enthropy" is suffering from that. Creative license though, could call it "goswaddle" for all we can say. Just good to see progress.
25. I'm not sure what form the story is taking. Is it supposed to be a long, chapter story or a short, moral driven one? It feels like the latter at first the way you speed through descriptions and events that could warrant paragraphs or even entire chapters of their own in order to, what it feels like, "get to the end and make the point", but the story is then hit with a cliffhanger at Marvin's activation. There's a few ways you could make it better, you could expand upon some of those descriptions and events like what Marvin looks like or the abduction of the boy who's name we don't even learn, even with stories of their own, or you could end the story quick and convey the morale of the tale and leave descriptions and events ambiguous on purpose so the readers fill in the blanks instead. It's great so far but I'm getting mixed messages from it. It almost feels like the forum cut your post off by accident and you didn't notice yet or something. I'm not gonna give you a score or anything because it doesn't feel done.
