Here is a solution that should satisfy all interests-

On some days GGG is the GGG as we know it.
On other days GGG is not the GGG just another place.

This a good solution that allows both parties to be satisfied.

Ahh, fair enough, been there too many times, couldnt remember that there was one of those there

But yeah, that'd be something only Mur can do, and i know one person who certainly left for a long time because of it, it's a shame, especially considering i wouldve happily teleported them off if they'd known to ask.

I think it starts the game off wrong, personally. You see a Labyrinth which is apparently really hard to solve, and then through a lot of hard work (or luck) you solve it and open up a new land. Then you feel good about yourself, up until you realize the exit is locked and you are trapped. It seems strange to reward someone who solved a difficult puzzle by trapping them.

How about the people who participated and won before, can't participate in another HC... period. No collecting them by the spawn rate, or stealing them from others...

That way certain people can't steal the winning spots anymore.

First of all I am not picking a place for the market. After all I believe it is not something I am able to do on my own. Like i said I'm only presenting an idea.
I only mentioned that place because of what Akasha said. If it was up to me, I wouldnt go so far from NML
I am not interested in discussing this matter further more. I believe i presented this idea clearly enough, hopely it wont cause any more misunderstanding.

Being a villain has tangible consequences on the victim, whereas the victim has no way to inflict a counter attack (yet)

So this "villainy" only takes place because you can't be punished for it?
There is a glaring difference between roleplaying theft and actual stealing when the victim can't react appropriatly, and where the actual punishment that can be meted out, outweighs the severity of the crime. I am certain you are aware of the implications of your actions.

I don't really see the problem, if he is a role play thief.., than act as if the punishment is for roel play to! I mean, criminals get punished everywhere.., so why not in md?

Shadow I think that you are missing the point. If you are seeking to create some kind of loophole in an agreement, then you are seeking to scam someone. I also have to object strenuously to anyone seeking to employ such tactics as you are not dealing with people that are not all native English speakers, nor even adults. In fact taking advantage of someone that is not a native speaker or indeed a minor seems utterly reprehensible to me. I consider it the duty of all people to protect the more vulnerable, not exploit them.
I'd like to reiterate that I am not accusing Granos of being a thief in real life, but at the moment it is looking a little like that to some people.

On the assumption that Granos has merely decided to play the 'villain' and actually does intend to pay up in the end, or at the very least return the item in question, I suggest that he somehow make that known to people. I'd offer to even hold the item in trust for a certain amount of time to represent the 'theft' and then return it to its owner. Of course, people may not like that idea or even trust me either.

I'm sorry, but I have to respectfully disagree.
Personally I don't like the way people can make large profits from items they received for nothing. In a way, I see that as mercenary and not very condusive to the game in general.
That being said, theft is another matter entirely. Granos may play a villain, but there has to be a line between 'playing' one and 'behaving' like one. I'm sorry Granos, but I feel that you have overstepped the mark here in the name of villainy. Its hard to say what you have done is purely RP. Theft from an MD character really does impact on the player and its really theft from both.
Also, as Jester said, there are supposed to be consequences for actions. You can't walk into a shop and steal things and then just say 'Hey, Im a villainous person, its my job'.

While having people play villains is a good thing imo, there has to be some boundaries. Some unofficial rules if you like. And I personally feel that one has been crossed now.

In the end, having people feel like they have been ripped off or abused in some other fashion is counterproductive and imo unnaceptable. How can you expect the game to grow if you have this kind of thing happening. It is a proven fact that people are more likely to complain than to compliment and also more likely to tell people about something bad than something good. Personally, I would not refer a friend or family member to any place, if I thought it likely that they would be scammed, stolen from or abused in any fashion. I'm sure I am not alone in this opinion.

Granos plays a delicious villain.

He is so good, he is even respected as a villain.

But his character has always been done in the realm with RP, but to do this scam in a Forum, it is possible he may have crossed the line.

Granos cannot always say that he is a villain and gets away with everything. There must be a boundary. Does his character allows for scamming? If I am to scam another player, can i say that it is coz my character has been seduced by the dark side? Or maybe I can say my character is now playing a lying thiefing scoundrel... would that be allowed?

Can you imagine Granos knocking on yr door and saying "Give me all yr money", and you cannot report it coz he is Granos!

The difference between your case and meru chi's, dst, is that with meru chi, her REAL LIFE person was being assaulted by a veteran who should have known better.

You, on the other hand, are asking for Czez's opinion of you to be taken out. If we take all of the bad stuff said about us out of PLs, then what's the point?

That, and I see nothing about you in real life in Czez's post, and I don't see any inappropriate words, other than what was in the chat log (Which, by the way, has nothing to do with the PL entry. Besides, it looks like you're provoking her anyways.)

So, to ask to have something removed, just because you don't like it, and not because it's inappropriate, and at the same time provoke the person who you feel has wronged you, makes it seem like all you're doing is attacking Czez through the forums.

I am amazed. I don't know where to begin. There is more to this story, this Adventure Log, that we
will do not see now. There are three more players who had a big part in the story.
You read the beginning of the Adventure Log and assume it is all that there is to the Adventure.

This game, this world, is unique. I live in the Eastern part of the United States, my time is different
than, lets say-- Peace, I rarely see her awake, is that because she is not here? I don't think so.
Chewett, I see awake less often. And I know they are very active in game. There are High School,
University, and work schedules to attend to. The three others in this AL, who, as of now will not be
read about, live in their time zones.

The AL is not bound to only those that were in the Adventure, their story transpired, it is a history of
the new land.

It seems we are a culture. I am reminded of a term from my Cultural Anthropology class, Ethnocentrism.

There is nothing I hate worse than picking up a book and reading it only to misplacing it. It would always be in the back of my mind, "What did Handy do?". Thats like reading a story only to find that someone tore out the last chapter so your stuck asking questions!

Mur, I implore you not to let the few motivate you to do nothing when the majority of us want the AL to continue.
I would like to consider myself out of the group of the few, please. If speaking up my mind and commenting something that others asked for opinions, then I will keep my mouth shut from now on and keep my thoughts and ideas to myself.

Did I ever say that I do not want the AL to continue? Quote me and show it to me if I ever used those words. The AL can continue yes, not written by us yes. I do too want to see the end of this story but I would also like to remember to all those who forget what other stories took part while this chapter was on hold. That is all.

And one more thing. I never considered the AL to be something rewarding. But it is something that influences others.

If we wanted to encourage people to figure out more interesting ways to fight, we would cap skills the same way principles were capped. It is true now that there are people who train constantly and never fight. But I don't see much wrong with that. It is a reason to keep logging in, and setting attainable goals, for people who may not be into conversation or rp, or even finding targets or testing rits. Some just haven't the time, language skill, or interest.

We don't all play the same game. That's one of the most interesting and unique features of the realm. GGG provides an environment that serves the needs of many people. Eliminating it isn't going to change the way different people enjoy spending their time.

When I see a post like this in the forum, I often wonder what really motivated the person to start it. So much of the time is spent bashing people and things within the realm instead of trying to make things better. Take down the dojo. It's broken, doesn't work, and is ruining the game. Take down GGG. It's broken, makes weak players, and is destroying the game. Next will probably be the santuaries because people hide there and others can't fight them. Ok, the last one may be a bit extreme.

I guess my question is what do you really care about? Do you (in general) as a player come to fight? Do you come to socialize? Do you come to smack the snot out of everyone you walk by whether they wreck your honor or not? I know why I come and removing something like the dojo or GGG won't make me leave. People insisting I leave an area because THEY don't like it I find troubling.

Why do I go to GGG? People to talk to without getting destroyed by whoever is on the hunt, and train the bazillion wins for the angiens.

Something that the really powerful players may not be aware of. When I started over a year ago, I was told something early that has always sort of hung with me. There are certain people that you don't attack because it's pointless. They will destroy you. Shadowseeker was one of the people I was told to never attack. dst was another. I admit that still sticks with me when I see them. That doesn't mean that I don't think about attacking them. In the back of my mind, they are a goal. Some day I hope to beat them. Just because I don't run around attacking every MP5 that goes by doesn't mean that I don't fight others outside of GGG.

People have been complaining about where people gather and how they fight each other for the entire year I've been here. Taking something down or putting something up won't change the complaining or how some people do things. Instead of looking at things to cure your bordem, look within. Decide not to be bored.

You know what lets go ahead and remove GGG. Lets continue to remove every single thing that anyone sets up in MD because a few people have an issue with it.
Actually, lets just go ahead and remove MD altogether. There's obviously not enough people for a certain few to pound on, so lets remove it so they can go elsewhere and do that. ANd lets face it, RP is rubbish and anyone that even attempts to RP is a waste of space and they should obviously spend there time wandering around with giant bullseyes on their backs. Infact, before we do that lets set those people's stats to 1 billion in everything so that they can feel good about themsleves for 5 seconds.
I'm sick to death of listening to crap from people who like to whine and have issues with everything and everyone in MD. DO SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE AND STOP JUST PUTTING THINGS AND PEOPLE DOWN!

This is a continuation of the MD is dead topic so that it can remain on topic.

MD is Boring.

Others think it, I said it. Now lets look at the biggest problem with why MD is now Boring.

First: GGG

The GGG is ruining MD. People sit there all day long and farm 0 damage wins. Wins are supposed won. Not given. Stats are not to be given so freely either.

After dst's post stating what is really wrong with MD, it opened my eyes. I have come to realise that the GGG is bad for our community.

So I ask, is it a good idea to get rid of the GGG in order to bring back the original style of training by attacking others with real rituals?

If you disagree, or agree, please post why.

(Sorry Kamisha, I didn't mean to hijack your thread, problem fixed now)

My point was this: without Mur, I wouldn't play MD. Mur is the only person who could actually revive MD. A bunch of random players could make the game more fun, sure. I'm in favor of that. What annoys me is the language used. Talking about reviving MD is like saying "MD is dead, but I can bring it back!"

And Malaikat, you have been inactive in game so I considered you an ex-Sentinel. If you're going to hugely over react even to that, then I do not want you in Necrovion, so you are hereby banished from Necrovion in game.
