  1. Name : Daydream of the Cube Maker : Priestess Aia Started : 27th March, 2009 Duration : Until twenty people have solved it. Objective : Solve the puzzle on Aia's hate page, either providing a solution where it is possible or impeccable reasoning that explains why there is no solution. Reward : Tarquinus's spell document, and Aia's inscription on your personal log. (Many thanks, Lucius, for the support.)
  2. I did notice, upon sacrificing several creatures, that while I am deducted 20 points of action upon sacrificing a creature, I may continue to do so, though I possess fewer than twenty. It were even possible to sacrifice a creature upon having no remaining points of action.
  3. I had seen creatures that have the ability to heal, and others, to regenerate, yet, none that had the ability to revive the dead, and had thought, perhaps, that one may eventually possess such power. Cost: 7000 VP 80 AP 1000 VE Level 1: Lesser Wisp Ability: Heal Target: Dying 100 vit 30 power 2 def 0 init A soulless being, ethereal, and formless, it is formed from the remnants of spell-casting. It gives its power to those alongside itself. Upgrade: 8000 VP, 80 AP, 2000 VE, 5000 exp, 20 wins Level 2: Greater Wisp Ability: Heal Target: Dying 200 vit 80 power 3 def 1 init Accumulating magic from other creatures in combat has made the wisp grow in power. Although it is still weak, it seems to show some strange potential. Upgrade: 10000 VP, 80 AP, 2000 VE, 20000 exp, 50 wins Level 3: Ancient Spirit Ability: Heal Target: Multiple 500 vit 60 power 5 def 2 init The wisp has accumulated enough magic to gain a consciousness, and thus, has become a spirit. While it has not yet grown to its full potential, it shows more and more promise with each battle, and it can now heal many of its allies at once. Upgrade: 15000 VP, 80 AP, 3000 VE, 60000 exp, 100 wins Level 4: Forgotten Spirit Ability: Revive (revive a dead creature to life with 1/2 vitality, and lose that amount of vitality. If there is insufficient vitality, the ability fails.) Target: Dead 1000 vit 1 power 7 def 3 init The spirit has accumulated so much power and understanding that it now knows how to bring back creatures from the brink of death. However, to revive a dead creature takes a lot of power, and the spirit has to draw upon its own vitality to do so.
  4. I can confirm this to happen, also. I had upgraded one little bird to an air scout, and then another after it, and only lost points of action, vitality, and value for a single one.
  5. The wedding of Lucius and myself shall take place within that time period, from 4:00 Server Time on the 15th of March. Would it be possible to schedule a hiatus of the small festival for it?
  6. I, also, wish to support this quest.
  7. What if in the next contest, passing between MP levels were to forbidden, whether in an alliance or not? For example, if one of the fifth mind-power were to defeat one of the fourth mind-power, they would not get any heads at all from the combat? Or perhaps, they may receive the maximum of one head from that combat?
  8. The odd win is in the other thread, with the creatures on negative vitality, which seems to be a bug in itself. Thus, I attacked, and "won", but lost.
  9. This were a strange occurrence. I know not how it may be reproduced, but the image explains it. If somehow, one were to make a ritual that hath all its creatures on negative vitality, there were potential for abuse, for damage to the ritual would make the percentage at the end positive, that is, after being dealt damage, you might get -X% vs. 100%, for example. edit: Stormrunner hath posted the occurrence in another thread, along with what may be related bugs.
  10. It were a wondrous occurrence. It doth seem that even a god may have a day of birth. I wonder, then, what there had been in existence, afore it. I wish him a happy day of birth, and thank him dearly for creating this realm.
  11. While it may have been thus, I do believe that the realm doth require its Master Archivist. If it were any other soul within, I would that they would be saved from't, and likewise for Renavoid.
  12. Whither may we take passing glance of such a journal, to study its inscription, and properties?
  13. Aia del Mana, Priestess of Moon's Light A wandering soul, banished from the Sanctum of Mana for her taint of darkness, arising from the sorcery she was forced to perform in her previous realm when it was overthrown by forces of darkness. Among the most terrible of these rituals is the binding of souls to new vessels, tearing them from a living body, and imprisoning them in another vessel. Upon hearing about Nature's Sword, she believes that such a relic contains a bound soul, and wishes to release it, to grant it its freedom, or at least, to commune with the soul contained within it. As the Priestess of Moon's Light, she has the ability to channel moonbeams, and to scry its reflection in still waters. She is a dreamer, one who envisions purification, the undoing of past wrongs, and ultimately, utopia. She often daydreams - and loses herself in them. (By the by, I really think Karak should be in this quest. His role fits so nicely.)
  14. If I had sent a message with answers to the Puzzle Gauntlet before the 7th of February, and I had said before that I wished to continue with the puzzles after receiving the spell document, and the answers are correct, will I still receive the wishpoint?
  15. It is upon us, and the radiant Moon showers her blessings.
  16. I would think Bootes' storyline critical to the Children of the Eclipse. It is through that which we hear we may see the pale shimmer of the Moon once more. It is crucial, then, that Bootes and NelyaSetesh find the significance of the Pillars. Perhaps it is through these pillars that the Children of the Moon were once able to descend from the Moon?
  17. How the pillars may have supported the planet before, I do not know, though it may not necessarily be simply a physical link; indeed, it would almost certainly be more. Or perhaps I am fishing in the wrong pond. It is possible that the pillars are a symbol, but with an intrinsic connection to something else. I cannot otherwise see a reason for the breaking of the pillars to cause perpetual sunlight.
  18. If the sun move along its celestial path, but never reach the end of the path that is the horizon, then, the sun is not moving in a straight line, but in a circle, or other closed shape, such that it will return to its initial point in the sky. In the other-realm, this phenomenon is only known to happen in particular places, and only during certain times of the year; after which these places are placed in perpetual darkness for the same period - the Antarctic and Arctic circles of that realm, noted in many a map I have studied of the other-realm, which appears to be rather well documented. However, in MD, is it possible then, that MD is now placed such that there will be perpetual sunlight, and after a long hiatus, MD will be placed into a perpetual night? Perhaps the day we lose day will be the last for an eternity, and the moon will be our light from then on? The pillars are broken. What is a pillar, but a support, a structure of strength, connecting and supporting that which it holds. Yet, these are broken, and the connection is lost. If one were to erect pillars and then move the structure supported by these pillars, then, they hold it in place, and then, with sufficient power, the pillars are broken and the support disappears. I believe the pillars were once used to align the planet. In a different alignment, MD would experience night and day in faster succession, much like the other-realm would, in places not north of the Arctic Circle or south of the Antarctic. However, since the pillars are broken, the planet is now out of alignment, spinning on a new axis, and, as a result, MD land now lies above the equivalent of the Arctic Circle, where it experiences perpetual daylight. Yet, pillars that are able to support a planet must be incredibly strong. So strong, that no man, however strong, may have the strength to move it. Only the will of a god could move the planet out of alignment with whatever the pillar connected to, and as a result, shatter these pillars. Why would a god wish to shatter the pillars? I would think it would take reasons of mythic proportions. As said earlier, if the pillars are used to align the planet, they must be connected at one end, to this planet, and on the other, to something else. To what? It may be that they were connected to another celestial body, or anchored in the aether, or even serve as a link to the god or gods in question. Something may have happened that resulted in the disassociation of a god with the entire planet. Or the celestial body, perhaps the Moon, perhaps another, were once anchored to this planet with the pillars - such beings that originated from the Moon may have used these to travel between there and this planet.
