  1. My thoughts are that these should remain in accessible parts of the realm, for longevity. If Lashtal were to leave the realm, one would find it difficult to obtain the Principle of Darkness, despite it being easily accessible through the Story. Similar may be said about placing one within Loreroot - perhaps to place it upon Maple Road may have to suffice.
  2. I had never visited the Shrine, so if it were not an exemplar in such a principle, then the document should not be placed within. I had seen many with Angiens within the realm, so mayhap it were much harder than I had thought. From across the lake, the Shrine doth appear to radiate light. Perhaps I will realise the true nature of't when I may visit it. I think that although some principles should be harder to access, all should be feasibly achievable (without the expense of Wish-Points) at the Third Mind-Power, as one should be able to choose the aspects of one's self that may thus direct one's character. Furthermore, at least a single principle should be placed within each land - to add to the character of each land. My suggestions, with the aforementioned taken into account: Entropy: Gazebo of Chaos Balance: Gazebo of Equilibrium Elements: Upon the peak in Gateway Island - and within the Paper Cabin for those that missed it Cyclicity: Raven's Peace, Loreroot (as long as some may open the Entrance to Loreroot for others) Darkness: Howling Gates (or Passage of War or any accessible, satisfactory part of Necrovion. Mayhap in Deathmarrow, if there could be a way out). Time: Hall of Statues in Lands of the East Imagination: Sage's Keep, Marind Bell Transposition: Pillars of Harmony, Golemus Golemicarum Light: Hall of the Sun, MD Archives Syntropy: House of Liquid Dust Of course, those more well-travelled in the realm may suggest otherwise, and I am happy to defer to their wisdom.
  3. I had noticed of late the increasing number of the realm who hath attained Mind-Power, yet were unable to assign a Principle, as the Story Mode were no more. I note that there were not a single one of the new visitors of the realm that had even attained a third principle; some had not even attained their first. Although I lament the loss of the Story, I should like to propose that one who doth obtain such a Principle Document may then add that principle to that which they were attuned. Such a document should read of such a principle, and upon finding it, should allow the reader to add it to their own principles, if they have Mind-Power that exceedeth their known principles. An example may be made of placing the Principle of Balance within the Gazebo of Equilibrium, or the Principle of Darkness within Deathmarrow, the Principle of Light within the Shrine of the Angiens, and so on, in places of the realm that were exemplars of such principles. Then, one who hath not that principle may simply visit that location and read the document within to learn it. Such documents would work such that one need not commit to learning their principles once read, yet, they give opportunity to do so. In this way, all may find them in the same manner as some spell documents. I am happy to be audience to all who may support, or refute, such an idea.
  4. I shall. I know at least another that doth wish to enter and hath not yet submitted.
  5. Although I have attempted this riddle, and sent thee the echoes of't, I fear I had not saved the soul of the Old Woman. May others of the realm also attempt to do so - otherwise, I fear, we shall lose her soon.
  6. As I believe it were quite difficult to be present over Murmas, I shall extend the entries for two more days. If those who wish to enter would kindly post their entry via PM or in-game, I should accept it as valid.
  7. I can confirm that I cannot yet accept Fang as protector due to this. Many thanks to he who doth rectify it.
  8. I suggest that Skill Damage couldst affect those of different Mind Power in different measure. If one with skill damage doth attack one of the Third Mind-Power, it could be that such an attack would cause the loss of heat of the attacked, of the target (and not of creatures). If one were to do so in higher Mind-Power levels, it could make such a target lose either wins or losses, dependent on that which they had in excess. This would remain in proportion to the excess - if one had one hundred losses in excess, one couldst lose ten of those losses as a result, restoring balance at more rapid a rate. I would have it that attacking another of a different Mind-Power couldst not release heat from aught of the creatures of those at lower Mind-Power. Yet, I understand that this too may be used against many in ways I had not the wisdom to realise.
  9. I have never remained in the realm for Murmas, so I am positive that I had never eaten any, or seen aught of the other Murmas presents that were announced. I am reluctant to reset the shop presently as there do remain items which I have yet to obtain within.
  10. I too, cannot see the Murmas Cookies, but I had never had any. Which branch were it in?
  11. I presently remain at the Fourth Mind-Power, and find that there were few within the realm that may spar with me. If this were to occur, I should think that one must also break the limit of creature ascension - those of the Third Mind Power must be able to upgrade a creature to maximum as one of the Fifth Mind Power - otherwise, even in a fight that were made 'fair', one wouldst still be far overmatched fighting one of greater Mind Power.
  12. I believe that we are in agreeance, MRF. One should not be able to fight another who were not of equal Mind-Power, save that one has accumulated heads. I believe that for the present, such a change may benefit many. Yet, mayhap, Mur hath thought this out well, and has reason for this - I would like to know his thoughts.
  13. I believe that Mur hath simply enabled the functionality of the Heads, for the purpose of allowing one to leave the Island of Gateways. Yet, to do so, it were that he had simply enabled the Contest of Heads as it were of it's last iteration - that of the Contest of Boss Heads. I believe that the same functionality may be enabled without such restriction on one's statistic, or vitality, by enabling Heads as it were without the Boss rules, and enabling one to attack another of a different Mind-Power only if the other hath some number of heads. Thus, to revert such rules to that of the inaugural Contest of Heads. As it were presently, those who have left the island in the last day have already gained the maximum heat that those of the Third Mind-Power may hold, as given of those who have been kind enough to train them. I fear they yet do not understand that which they may have learned if they had taken longer to train and advance. I do not question the will of Mur, and if he sees it fit that the realm should remain thus, then I am content.
  14. In the spirit of Murmas, I wish to run a quest, and seek sponsorship for the quest rewards. Rewards thus far: 1 Voice stone (donated by Burns) 6 Heat stones (donated by Lintara) 630 Iron Ore (donated by Fang Archbane) 6 gold coins (donated by Treasury - 3 to first, 2 to second, 1 to third place) 1 Petrify stone (donated by Jubaris - for the scariest entry) As it were that Murmas approacheth, so must good spirits. Thine quest were so: Write a Murmas poem, or song, or chant. Thine offering must rhyme, and reference the realm in some way, either of the land, or its beings, or otherwise. Magic-speak, or archaic-speak, is encouraged, as were wit, and humour, for which further reward should be bestowed. I seek an offering that may bring mirth and cheer to others this Murmas, which were that which above all must affect the final judgment. As to the length of thine submission, there remaineth no limit; yet, one must remain entertaining throughout. Of judgment thereof, such were that of each of the following, a score of up to ten points should be given: 1. For magic-speak, or archaic tongue, or other mystical construct 2. For rhyme and prosody 3. For mirth, and wit - and for this, a double scoring. 4. For support of those of the realm, that were not scored of the judges. I shall accept submissions, within the realm, or within this forum, and they shall be anonymous until they are scored. I would like to have the entries in by Murmas, yet, I know that the other-realm doth pull one away at that time, and so, I shall accept submission if it were late. These may be given to me within the realm of Mur, or within the forum of Mur, afore the great Murmas celebration. Merry Murmas, and may good fortune befall thee.
  15. I find it difficult to believe that you used server lag when I have logs from both Lib25 and Lib31 attacking after I logged out.
  16. I cannot wait for these avatars to become available. They are amazing.
  17. Name : Daydream of the Cube Maker : Priestess Aia Started : 27th March, 2009 Duration : Until twenty people have solved it. Objective : Solve the puzzle on Aia's hate page, either providing a solution where it is possible or impeccable reasoning that explains why there is no solution. Reward : Tarquinus's spell document, and Aia's inscription on your personal log. (Many thanks, Lucius, for the support.)
  18. I did notice, upon sacrificing several creatures, that while I am deducted 20 points of action upon sacrificing a creature, I may continue to do so, though I possess fewer than twenty. It were even possible to sacrifice a creature upon having no remaining points of action.
  19. I had seen creatures that have the ability to heal, and others, to regenerate, yet, none that had the ability to revive the dead, and had thought, perhaps, that one may eventually possess such power. Cost: 7000 VP 80 AP 1000 VE Level 1: Lesser Wisp Ability: Heal Target: Dying 100 vit 30 power 2 def 0 init A soulless being, ethereal, and formless, it is formed from the remnants of spell-casting. It gives its power to those alongside itself. Upgrade: 8000 VP, 80 AP, 2000 VE, 5000 exp, 20 wins Level 2: Greater Wisp Ability: Heal Target: Dying 200 vit 80 power 3 def 1 init Accumulating magic from other creatures in combat has made the wisp grow in power. Although it is still weak, it seems to show some strange potential. Upgrade: 10000 VP, 80 AP, 2000 VE, 20000 exp, 50 wins Level 3: Ancient Spirit Ability: Heal Target: Multiple 500 vit 60 power 5 def 2 init The wisp has accumulated enough magic to gain a consciousness, and thus, has become a spirit. While it has not yet grown to its full potential, it shows more and more promise with each battle, and it can now heal many of its allies at once. Upgrade: 15000 VP, 80 AP, 3000 VE, 60000 exp, 100 wins Level 4: Forgotten Spirit Ability: Revive (revive a dead creature to life with 1/2 vitality, and lose that amount of vitality. If there is insufficient vitality, the ability fails.) Target: Dead 1000 vit 1 power 7 def 3 init The spirit has accumulated so much power and understanding that it now knows how to bring back creatures from the brink of death. However, to revive a dead creature takes a lot of power, and the spirit has to draw upon its own vitality to do so.
  20. I can confirm this to happen, also. I had upgraded one little bird to an air scout, and then another after it, and only lost points of action, vitality, and value for a single one.
  21. The wedding of Lucius and myself shall take place within that time period, from 4:00 Server Time on the 15th of March. Would it be possible to schedule a hiatus of the small festival for it?
  22. I, also, wish to support this quest.
  23. What if in the next contest, passing between MP levels were to forbidden, whether in an alliance or not? For example, if one of the fifth mind-power were to defeat one of the fourth mind-power, they would not get any heads at all from the combat? Or perhaps, they may receive the maximum of one head from that combat?
  24. The odd win is in the other thread, with the creatures on negative vitality, which seems to be a bug in itself. Thus, I attacked, and "won", but lost.
