i agree with kafuuka. It cost me a WP and I hope people think a well earned Q-doc with my first quest, that dst herself among others did. It would be a shame to see people giving away WPs for that reason if indeed that reason is what's going on. I think essay quests are fine under certain circumstances. Those type of quests are good for festivities and holiday times. Find person X and then person Y i actually find some of the better quests. Yes it's hard to catch people at the right time, unless you chose people who are on often. I think these quests are great if designed in the right way. Go find person X and look at their log, then say you took something from them isn't the right way. These quests are designed to RP with the character. Often times they have a dialog or a idea of what kind of RP they want to take place in order for them to hand you the "item". For the non rper i could see how that would be aggravating, but for those who enjoy rp it is a great way to expand not only your friendships, but your rp skill with those who have been in the game longer than you and may have different rp talents.

This Quest is now closed. There were some great stories and the judging will begin today. After the judging is over the one's who did not win will be posted in the caretakers section for all to read. The winner's story will be held a secret until he/she tells it at the first festival held by the Caretakers.

Fenth's Press, and Berzerkers Challenge are both sanctuaries and the only way to be attacked there is when you have 7 or more heads on you. Has this just started occuring since the heads contest started or the whole time you have been playing?

its not an actual item rendril...its an "item" in your PL. Used to RPCs would put items in peoples players logs so it made you check out what others thought of them. Sometimes you simply had to put in their PL that you found it, and other times you had to ask for such "item". When you have to ask for the "item" it makes you rp and interact with the people. Usually people are more than glad to give you such an "item" when you have an interesting RP. Seems lately alot of people are greedy anymore, and would rather keep the item or not give it away just so others can not accomplish the quest, then be productive and help out other players. It's why you don't see that kind of questing as much anymore. Kragel was fairly well known for it back when he used to play for gathering components when creating an item.

The Deadline is quickly approaching you have until tomorrow (Saturday) night to get your stories in. So far there are some very interesting ones, but I would like to see more. What I consider the end of the deadline is 24:00 EST (US), considering that's my timezone. Being the fact that I will be at a party at that time if your an hour or two late no big deal. I love to see the creative side of players and this is no exception. It seems there are lots of players who have a talent for scary stories. Good Luck Everyone

the same problem is happening with a few of our q-docs with the same error..must be some kind of a code bug somewhere

I think alliance jumping is something that has plagued these lands too often. Most people in alliances are dedicated to them, but there are a few who are fickle and on whims jump from one to another. There are also those who feel they need to direct alliances and jump them trying to put their influences into the alliance. I think the citizenship will help lower that. Exactly like de la rey said to belong to one land and to join an alliance in another is treason. Punishable in any country by death. An alliance is not a small matter like ,"oh I want to join an alliance today i think ill pick *closes eyes and shoves finger on the map* This one!!" They should be a lifelong commitment to not only being a part of, but improving the alliance. Jumping "ship" in times when the alliance is in struggles or when war comes along is going AWOL in my book. That's why most alliances won't even take mp3 or mp4 unless they have ALOT of days on them and are dedicated to the game.

As All Hallows Eve approaches, we all reflect upon times gone by. The Caretakers hereby set forth a quest. A quest to write a story scary enough to shake the bones of the dead in their graves. The story must revolve around Graveyards or creepy Caretakers. The story must be at least 1,000 words minimum. If you use people gone by of MD that is a bonus. These stories must be original, and not taken off other stories. In order to assure that you must set yourself as the main character of the story. Whether you are the hapless victim or the deranged killer performing weird experiments is your choice. Remember the more MD oriented you make your story the better score you will get. I (Phantasm), Assira, and Susan will each read over all the submissions and chose the top 3 we each like. Then we will all sit together, and come up with the best story of them all. This person will then have an opportunity to share the story at a specific time and location within the Eastern Lands with everyone who will listen. All stories must be submitted by Friday the 30th. ALL STORIES MUST BE SENT IN A PM IN GAME TO PHANTASM. Stories not sent to be will not be accepted in the contest. Find me if you can *evil laugh*. No really though I am usually at the Inn in Loreroot or the bar in the Eastern Lands. The stories will be reviewed and the winner will be contacted. The other top few stories will be posted on the forum. The winning story will also be posted on the forum after the story has been told in the Eastern Lands. I think story lines in the Story Mode need alot of work. I don't know how much of an issue it is in alpha 9, but I personally and several others are "under construction" in Chapter 2 still. I think it would be nice for everyone to at least be able to get to chapter 3 before moving onto another version.

he doesn't just mean in the LHO routine Pip. LHOs care about new people and instruct them on the basics of the game. Sagewoman not only preforms her LHO duties well, but she also RPs extensivly with any of the new people who chose to. I don't care who debates what the essence of this game is the RP. There are millions of fighting games out there if someone wants a place to fight with creatures. Good RP has been something fast dwindling in this game, and I think a cause to the downfall in activity on MD overall. Sagewoman is an excellent, though eccentric, RPer who is more than willing to make newcomers feel at home. Any person who defeated the loreroot guardians and walks into the Defensive Quarters for the first time, while sage is on, will tell you that. She is also a long time player, who has had her root in Loreroot for as long as most can remember. I know long before I came around. She not only has an extensive history with loreroot, but has played roles in countless activities within MD. One of the most famous is her interactions with Khalazdad, and her helping him. This is not a biased opion, I am sure many will agree with what I say. Yes she is my in-game wife, and all around torturer of my times in this land, but she is also a very integrated and wonderful person that makes this game what it is. ok clarifications here!! Kamisha is a wonderful RPer....fantastic in fact. Much better than a large part of the MD world. I have personally RPed with him many times. Age does not make a difference. A person with 100 days may very well run a land more effectivly than 10000. Not to say for sure because of course the longer here the more is retained about the world as a whole. Just saying some are good leaders naturally and some are not. My point I am making is that many of lorerootians are also Guardians of Bob. I just see a big conflict here. I am in no way downtrodding his abilities to be king, just the difference of which feelings are pulled.

He has a despise for Bob the tree, anyone who protects Bob the Tree, and all things Bob stands for. He has beena long time enemy of the guardians of BoB A man who hates Bob the tree and all things bob stands for is runnign for king of LOREROOT!! a place full of Bobs brethren. I have had this problem since Notebook came out. It just says Error on page and will not load. I tried refreshing and clearing chace and other things to fix it. Until now it wasnt a problem because i made all notes in my wordpad. Now it is an issue
