The recent changes to the popularity poll made in Announcement 6231 have, to my perspective, made the popularity poll even more frustrating to engage with. I've personally never liked the idea of giving a "disliked" vote to someone, and feel like I'm arbitrarily downvoting people because I have no option not to.
To combat this, I'd like to propose a change to how the votes are actually carried out - instead of voting one person up and one person down, why don't we use a ranked voting system? Pick three names from the list, and place them in the order of most liked (value of say 3 to the first choice, two to the second, and 1 for the third).
I do recognize being able to say you dislike someone is valuable, so we could perhaps also have an optional option to rank upto three people negatively (-3 through -1), with the option to not fill out all three slots (so you might vote -3 for one person, -1 for another, and leave -2 blank but the system still accepts it as complete).
Thoughts? Something like that would probably take slightly longer to complete, but only by a few seconds and we'd no longer have to say we don't like people that we in reality just don't have an opinion on (while still having the option to express our selves if there are actual issues in the community).
Does anyone have alternative ideas on the popularity voting?

Any alliance with a high enough score (of some variable?) can provide the usage of altars for people who are not balanced - that player would need to give the alliance some offering for their usage, that will then go to the respective stock."
Here is the basis for a new idea surrounding alliances. It could be a clickable item in your land that is unique to it, it may have multiple functions. One such may interact with heads, others described above. Overall I think there needs to be some agreement between alliance members in their land as to what the function should do for them. Here we may discuss this.

Roles can be unlocked sequentially, you need to open them in order. You can only follow a single branch and once you picked one direction, the other options get locked.
Absolutely any data that exists in md can be used as unlock rule for a tag. We will be able to use all those fancy things such as the daily voting and a lot of other stuff that was there but was never used for anything.
At the "end" of the "tree", there will probably be insane rewards, such as god mode powers (you know them as A25 , but god-mode sounds a lot better right? 😛 )
Multiple option trees for multiple dispatchers are possible, so its not just a single one and a single path.
The tag structure editor is done and functional, its a super powerful tool that now needs to be put to good use.
I intend to collect the best of your suggestions and make them real in md .. so let me know what you think and what sort of tag structures do you can think of.
What i need:
- tag names and descriptions and a vague ideea of what they are supposed to unlock
- images 150x150px hand drawn md style
- tag structure suggestions, for example what sort of tags would a merchant role imply, and what choices (names to be picked after)
- places for tag dispatchers, where do you think they should be in the realm.
Sample tag dispatcher 'trees', the names are kind of random, just so you understand visually how these will look.

nadrolski reacted to Fyrd Argentus in WP for weapons & armor upgradeEach wp spent could increase weapons and armor upgrade by something like 20% of their effect (additive, not factors).
Current best armor is about +85% of base, best weapon is about +35% of base. 1 wp -> 100%/42%, 2wp -> 115%/49%, and so forth.
You could have weapon & armor upgrades sold separate.
You might sell such upgrades in the shop, but I'd make the price per upgrade percentage point quite high, like 1% per credit.

Filters must be cleaned permanently, else they won't...well, filter. They can also become breeding grounds for pathogens.

As a raindrop falls and comes in contact with the atmosphere, it dissolves naturally occurring carbon dioxide to form a weak acid. The resultant pH is about 5.7, whereas a pH of 7.0 is neutral. Also, fine particulates can be emitted by industrial and residential combustion, vehicle exhaust, agricultural controlled burns, and sandstorms. As rainwater falls through the atmosphere, it can incorporate these contaminants.
???? How to treat rainwater, then?
There are a number of possibilities, but two simple methods should be talked about: boiling water and...letting it in the sun? The UV light kills more microorganisms than you'd think.

Also, for portable water harvesting portable systems, there's an active quest you might know about.
???? Why harvest rainwater?
Rainwater is valued for its purity and softness. It has a nearly neutral pH, and is free from disinfection by-products, salts, minerals, and other natural and man-made contaminants. It must be treated, however, to kill microorganisms and some chemicals.
???? What are the components of a rainwater harvesting system?
A catchment surface (like the roof or, in the case of a portable system, an umbrella) , gutters and downspouts; leaf screens/first-flush diverters (components which remove debris and dust from the captured rainwater before it goes to the tank) and one or more storage tanks/ cisterns.
???? What materials are needed?
A roof can be made of metal (55% aluminium/45% zinc alloy steel sheet), clay (painted with special sealant to prevent bacteria growth on porous surfaces), asphalt (not recommended), slate or wood/gravel (suitable for irrigation water).
The most common materials for gutters and downspouts are half-round PVC, vinyl, pipe, seamless aluminum, and galvanized steel.
The funnel-type downspout filter is made of PVC or galvanized steel fitted with a stainless steel or brass screen. Filter socks of nylon mesh can be installed on the PVC pipe at the tank inflow. You may experiment with leaf screens, but remember they need constant cleaning.
Storage tanks must be opaque, either upon purchase or painted later, to inhibit algae growth, and should be protected from direct sunlight, if possible. They’re made of fiberglass, polypropylene, wood (pine, cedar or cypress), concrete, metal, ferrocement.
