The word "Fenths": does it exist in english?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I was looking for a definition of teh word Fenth, and have been unable to find one. It seems that this word does not exist in English. Could anyone confirm that? If that word does exist (with that spelling or an approaching one), could you point me to a definition of that word?

I used some online dictionnaries with no success.

Thanks!

I've met a couple of people who have it as their last name, but as far as I know it doesn't mean anything in any language that I've checked. It could be derived from something, though.

The closest thing I personally know of to Fenth is Fenthion, which is an insecticide.

Its the merit of the writer that worked on md many years ago, Adi. Its not easy to find names that are so original, and i was quite insisting that they need to be 'clean' of previous meanings, otherwise their meaning might get tained. :)

Even when you make up a word independently of any outer influences, there's still a good chance that another language uses that word, or something similar, so yeah, making a decent yet original new words is an accomplishment.
