1. I want to sell 2 x Nutcrackers

The Nutcracker (1)

Stored Heat 0
Age 78

The Nutcracker (2)

Stored Heat 0
Age 92

Neither has any tokens. Will sell to the first satisfactory bid (accepting creature trades as well) . Reserve the right to not sell at all.

Either post here, contact me via forum or in game, whatever suits you best.

First, through my experience in HC if a player doesn't have creatures to defend with, he/she loses their head anyway. So , what's exactly the point of not allowing fighters without creatures to participate ?(if things work the same with BHC, which i assume they do) (same goes for illusions and frog spell as well, on the same way why not ban mirrorritual spell as well then and only frog ? )

Jump to leader, teleport spells and summon spells are not allowed ? May i ask why is that if they don't brake any of the other rules mentioned ? What's the reason not allowing those specific spells/abilities ?

I was actually referring to those, i got your idea about the external help, i may not agree with it, but it's pretty much your choice. What i'm doing here is trying to understand the reasons for choosing to apply these rules. (not all ofc, just the ones i fail to see a valid argument for being implemented)

3. Hhhmmm, by help i only thought you meant the use of spells in ones favor (which was an assumption on my part, obviously wrong from you last post) . Maybe it would be a good idea to define better what "help" means, just to avoid confusions (and bad assumptions like the one i did)

Even though i still get the feeling that by not allowing others to "affect" the contest you pretty much remove a nice random element that could make BHC more fun (just my point of view of course). But i can see that you have something specific in mind by applying that rule (to force people to organize prior to the contest, i guess in an attempt to make it more challenging). And (at least for as long as i'm in the realm) it was never run like that, so giving it a try would show if it actually has the results you expect.

What about the other rules i mentioned ? Would you mind explaining the reasons behind those decisions as well pls ?

4. That's exactly why i've been asking for MRAlyon's reasons for applying those rules, cause i'm trying to understand what problems have been caused.

I agree with you ignnus, i see no problem allowing outsiders to affect participants in various ways (as long as they don't brake other rules, such as for example to teleport participants outside from the currently active land) Getting heads should indeed not be allowed (except of if HC and BHC runs at the same time, which has always been a way to "trade" heads between 2 contests).

P.S. *Whistles innocently* Shame on that random guy that tried to movelock you ....... If you see him, give him a hug :P

5. Yes but you still haven't answered why.

You did all the feedback from the previous test contest via pm, so the rest of the community isn't aware of the issues that may have been raised from the participants (or maybe it's just me that i'm not aware of the issues raised)

What were the arguments the participants of the first test gave that persuaded you to add this rules ? Or other reasons that you thought that would support those rules ?

day of fear will be the 13th day, instead my contest will the the 14th day.... day of fear will not finish the 13th? or will start on 13th day? if so I will change date of my contest

If i'm not mistaken Day of Fear will actually last for a week, if Seigheart could pls comment it would be helpful

@vall... player that didn't sign up can't help the partecipants because there is the entrance fee for something... partecipants to the contest can work togheter for let win one of them...
after for now rues will stay s... if I see problems with them I will change them again for next contests...
The entrance fee is for a chance to try and win the contest, i still fail to see what it has to do with others cooperating.
As for the other rules, yeah, if you see problems you will change them, but what i'm trying is to see the reason for those rules. Is there any specific reason for having them in the first place ?

7. I'm not familiar with BHC, but i do have some questions.

Why not allow players not participating to help the participants ? I had the idea that cooperations always took place and it never had to do anything with participations or not ....

First, through my experience in HC if a player doesn't have creatures to defend with, he/she loses their head anyway. So , what's exactly the point of not allowing fighters without creatures to participate ?(if things work the same with BHC, which i assume they do) (same goes for illusions and frog spell as well, on the same way why not ban mirrorritual spell as well then and only frog ? )

8. That actually could create some issues. Not sure if the actual effect can be specified only for LR guards, but if has to be more universal that means (correct me if i'm wrong) that people won't be able to use magic against Molquert's guard as well, right ? And maybe any future NPC's that might be introduced later .....

P.S. I'm not aware if anyone actually managed to beat them using spells, but i guess it may be a problem (if taken as a universal effect), that's why i'm pointing it out

9. After laylah mentioning that she couldn't cast spells, tried movelock at goe.

I got this as a result :

<magicduel.com>

Error: SyntaxError
Err description: undefined
Err number: undefined
Err message: at line 2, column 6: expected ';', got 'error'

Ajax response:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare scramble() (previously declared in /home/magicdue/public_html/ui/navigation/ajax.chatmsg.php:9) in /home/magicdue/public_html/core/func.encrypt.php on line 11

I'm sure i had heat at the time and i copy pasted the words of the spell and the name, so i'm pretty sure i didn't messed up in that. Seems the rest of the people had issues as well.

10. Tarquinus actually reminded me of a lot of titles that didn't come to mind instantly :P

Mass effect series and KotoR series just rock ! ! !

Also got my hands on XCOM: Enemy Unknown recently (the new version with the improved graphics) and it's a great game indeed (never played the old version of it )

Tarquinus, if you manage to get your hands on Planscape Torment and you don't mind the old graphics, judging from your list of games you are gonna love it! And as far as BG2 goes, couldn't agree more with you :D

11. I'm still playing DnD on regular basis :D

Never had any consoles, but i've played a lot of computer games, with a high addiction to rpgs (in the past i used to like rts as well, but the last few years i prefer rpg over anything else )

Some of the best titles i've played (even though a bit old), Planescape Torment and Baldur's Gate :P

On more recent titles, i found Skyrim a great game (kinda like the other Elder Scrolls titles i've played, Morrowind and Oblivion :D)

12. AmberRune - acousticremains

Chewett -summon people to Angiens Shrine 4 casts

Maebius -A mirrored Mirror Ritual spell. (8 casts of course, to Stone it for cash!) Instead of making the opponent copy my ritual, it copies my target's defense when attacking. Likewise, an incoming attack copies the defense, instead of the attack.

Nimrodel -'petrify' spell to be coded into my daimon head comprising of attacklock+movelock+silence target for 30min or attacklock+movelock for 30min and silence for 15min.

Shemhazaj -scripting my Dreamcatcher with ability to dispel spells and curses put on someone (with exception of death spell and Mur?s curse spell)

dst -independent mineral water tool

Tal -an item to give or remove the sylvan watch tag to people

Fyrd Argentus -A tablet of paper that lets me spawn very specific items - documents - which have written on them whatever I put.

Mya Celestia -Summon spell

Udgard -upgrade to my item creation ability, to allow me to create usable items, and in extension items that can create other items

13. What i would like is this :

An item called "Box of Dice". On use it will produce items called "Pouch of dice" (either without limit , or at least able to produce 6 pouches at any given time) . Those pouches then could be passed to any player and have a limited time duration (6h) , after which they return to the box. When a player opens a pouch, he/she would receive 7 dice : d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, d100 .After the 6h duration for the pouches have passed, dice will return to the pouch and then the pouches to the box. As for box cool down (although i don't find it really necessary :P ) , maybe something like 18 or 24 uses that regenerate with every spell reset.

And since we can be creative as well, here is something else (have no idea if it can be coded ). I would like for each set of dice produced for a pouch to have a specific color. (example, pouch 1 produces red dice, pouch 2 green etc ..) Each die result will appear in chat exactly the same way as the shared ones, but in it's corresponding color.

Now why would i want something like that ? Well, i've had an idea some months ago , which may be a source of future quests. Not sure if this could work out really, but in order to make my life easier, such an item would be of great help :D
