  1. Well, if you're saying you believe the honor you get from a fight is based on how difficult the opponents are, no, you're not really right there. Honor is based on the difference between the wins and losses the opponents have.

    Well, the reason why the voting sites have portals and all of that is to prevent cheating (not exactly sure how it prevents cheating for the ones where you just have to click 'yes' or 'no'; can't you use a macro? I know some of the sites have it set so that the 'yes' and 'no' switch positions sometimes, though. Maybe that's how it works. The ones where you have to type the codes shown in the images I get...), so the point is to have to go through those extra steps. . . I think MagicDuel can only know if you've gone to somewhere if you've clicked a link that was put on MagicDuel, so if MagicDuel wanted to know if you gone though the validation of the vote and give you the credits once it knew, it would have to set the link to the validating stuff, and that wouldn't work because the anti-cheat stuff have the steps before like entering the codes, etc., and the voting sites wouldn't like it anyway . . At least, that's how I thought it through. I don't really know the technical stuff, heh, which is evident by how I use 'stuff' here and there. . . Just guessed it through.
  3. Yup, I had 230 more wins than losses when the new system was implemented. It's a difference of 49 now. EDIT: I really need to tell Lulu to log out of her account when she's done on this computer >_> I meant to post on my account (Glaistig).

    That might be so, if enough people would actually vote in the first place. . . But, I'm not sure how much being one of the top on a voting site really helps. As for me, I almost never refer to sites with votes, I just try out what my friends tell me are interesting.

    I'm pretty sure Manu and others are aware of this, but I guess they can't really find a way to make sure the players click the links after to submit votes. . . I think this is why it's been said that the free credits page will be taken down some time later. As for me, I click all the links after that are required to vote. . . it really doesn't take that much effort, and I think I would click them (occasionally, heh) even w/out the free credits and other bonuses just to try to make MagicDuel more popular. I think it's rather cheap that others don't.
  6. @Thrall: Yeah, I know from seeing non IB and AP students and from middle school that American schools are like an escalator system... But IB is pretty hard, like 7x or more the workload of the students that don't go to IB in the school I attend. Ehh :<. @Bunny: That sounds cool, but not every kid knows what he/she want, right? I guess the teacher gets to decide >_<; But being part of the elite would be very pleasant, hmm? I want to be part of the elite. . . The only way for me is to try attend a special university like MIT or Yale or something.
  7. Nonsense, you silly Europeans. AP = Advanced Placement in America, IB = International Baccalaureate supposedly internationally, though IB is less recognized in America than AP. Being in AP or IB means you do extra, more advanced work... not fun. We, err, take ACT and SAT mostly for colleges to review and decide if we're fit to go to their college. Scoring well in IB exams means you don't have to take some college courses when you go to college and the receiving of an IB Diploma. I think doing well on AP exams also means you don't have to take some college courses, but I'm not sure. Divided, separate types of school? o__o; Seems odd to me, heh... Coffee is okay, but leaves a bad aftertaste. I like to take big gulps of tea without breathing in between, so when I finish and let out my breath I feel like a lot of tension leaves my shoulders (heh, but that tension was purposely made...). Well~, it comforts Yami to fabricate a world where she's younger, but really Yami, there's no need! (: You're young(er) inside, which is all that matters, eh? Of course you wouldn't be 18 physically.
  8. Oh! Latin (unless Dutch is really similar to Latin) ... My old Latin understanding skills~ Do they survive? Umm... "None good for direct object is?" :9. A year having left basic Latin course, and I can't even remember the cases and stuff.... Edit: Shoot... Nunc doesn't mean 'nothing', huh? It was 'nihil', and 'nunca' means now? "Now it is good for direct-object?" Ehh n__n'
  9. I agree with Glaistig; I think the most important thing is to organize the article into sections and put more details in each. And off on a sort of tangent, I keep imagining in the description for the storyline part of MagicDuel to put some sort of comparison to that of a visual novel game or those old adventure games (I think they were called adventure games), except MagicDuel has the twist of combining the storyline game (if you would call it a game) with the multiplayer aspect. Well, I suppose putting in maps and the creature/duel process with a storyline is unique too, but there are a few games that I've played that were like that; however, none of them were multiplayer. Anyway, it's probably confusing from me, but to those who are familiar with visual novels and stuff, that might make it a bit more clear about what MagicDuel's really like, ehh... And I just keep imagining it like that. n__n;
  10. As for me, I don't find it hard to differentiate which of the story's branches is going on when an update is posted, if that's what you guys mean by confusing. (: It also seems like the branches are more connected than random for the most part, except for maybe SmartAlek's dragon people branch, but it will probably relate to the rest of the branches somehow later... As for the randomness feel because of how the branches turn out when the players participate, I haven't really felt it a lot, probably because I'm already considering that the players are participating or something of the sort~. The players being able to affect the story is fun. n_n Also, I think it would be great if the stories and updates were written with people that have better English than Manu (not to offend Manu), but in the end the content/plot of the story is the same and still understandable, so I don't/wouldn't mind since it's good enough and that makes him (and other players, probably) feel less anxious and bothered by the pace.
  11. Hmm.. maybe you could create the content before making a page for it. Probably want to write about its history and its unique aspects first.
  12. a) Why of course I am!

    b) Nonsense, that's just my wishful clicking there.

  13. This temporary doesn't seem that bad to me. (: I mean, not really slow so much that I can notice.
  14. No soy de espana o otro pais donde personas hablan espanol. Yo practicando espanol para mi clase.... No debo escribir aqui, pero yo quieri, pues, usar mi espanol. Pues. Este fue dificil. Lo siento. n___n' Bien venidos a MagicDuel? (:
  15. Eh. n___n' The only thing I managed to think of as "close yet far away" was somebody's heart. I rather doubt it fits with the second part.
