Apparently there were some issues with this quest as to what was considered a "death" in these stories. If Jubaris is taken off the disqualification list, he still did not score high enough to be 1-4, so receives the same reward. People view what is an actual death differently it would seem, so my apologies for not being more precise in my description. The judges scores and qualifications were based on their view of what a death was, more in terms of a slaying. In the future I will try and make it more clear of what we consider death being in a story. I personally was trying to go more for the horror knife in the shower sort of quest, but wasn't presented clear enough from these issues.

I agree that DST should be taken off the disqualification list. By score then that makes DST at 3rd place. As clarification, all stories were scored wether they qualified the requirements or not, as stated in the post aobut Kyphis story.

DST's story did follow the guidelines after further discussion and has been taken off the disqualification list.

This was one of the first Christmas's I can remember where I had fun. I have 2 kids, a grandson, a business, a demanding wife, and always seeking education. I had no problem running into Santa during all my busy time, so I don't think it was that hard to get in contact with him unless you were on a vacation those days. If you took the time to write Santa your letter I assume you had time to get them from Santa. Like others said, it was nice to have to go look for him instead of just sleeping idle at the GoE demanding presents without even any interaction. It was one thing I always kinda didn't like about Murmas. You would see TONS of old friends and people that didn't play anymore log on for a few hours during Christmas to get their gifts and then gone again.\ The tree rewards were still good, so people still got rewards for nothing, but to get the extra you had to put in a little extra. I know it took Chew a lot of his holiday time trying to make this Christmas very nice for people. These extra events at Christmas were a nice way of not only seeing who's still active, but who cares to put forth effort.

The quest is now over. Judging will begin, and hope to have results within the week.

As of today I will be going out of state to visit my brother. I will return late Christmas eve (Christmas day server time). I would like to wish everyone a happy holiday, and a Merry Christmas. After all these years of being in MD, I still find great joy in logging in to talk with those who stick around. MD has changed a lot in the years. Perhaps in the new year to come we can see it grow back some of its greatness. May you all find warm places to sleep and good food to fill your bellies my friends. I was asked a question today about the stories. Someone wanted to work more on their story but thought once posted it was done. As far as I see it you have until the 31st to submit your final stories. If you want to edit, add, or change completely is up to you as long as its done by the 31st.

In regards to those who post stories that do not follow the requirement. Those stories that do not follow the requirements will not be eligible for 1-4th place. However, if you create a story that has MOST of the requirements, then you are still a participant. Therefore, you will receive the participants rewards of 1 Christmas Point and Birthday consumables. Please try and stick to the required guidelines for the story though.

The Nightmare before Murmas A little horror is always the best just before celebrations of joy. For this we call up upon the spirits of those gone and past. Your nightmare, should you take it, will involve creating a story about a character from MDs past. Then you must put them in an nightmare enviroment, either for you or them. The story must have a complete plot as well as a ending that results in someone/all death. Requirements: The story must contain at least 300 words The main character must be a MD player who no longer plays The story must be told in 3rd person, like story tellers at Christmas time By the end of the story at least one character in the tale must die All stories must have a plot that is revealed by the end of the tale All stories must be submitted by 12/31/15 Judging: All stories will be posted in the forum. There will be at least 2 judges Like/Dislike will be considered in the judging Anyone who writes a tale, but gives negative critizism to other tales will be disqualified Rewards!!!!: 1st place: 4 Gold and 4 Christmas points 2nd place: 3 Gold and 3 Christmas points 3rd place: 2 Gold and 2 Christmas points 4th place: 1 gold and 1 Christmas point All participants will receive birthday cake and tea, 1 Christmas point, and possibly more.

With the implantation of Assira's new brace, and the change of my overall features since death; I am looking to hire for a new avi made. I want them to reflect my old avi that amoran made for me (can get you a pic), as well as the one I am currently using. I am unsure where to officially post this, so posting here. If it needs moved please do.

Assira has attached the crutch, and Phantasm can now walk again, we think..... She has been rewarded with my Elu, a prized possession given by one of my closest friends. A price can not be put upon getting one's life back. Congratulations Assira. This quest can now be closed, thank you all who participated in it.

like all "end game" i think people wait and expect the next "expansion" to make the end game go further. Much in like MMOs a lot of "hardcore" players max out in the first 6 months. Then they wait the next 6 months for the new expansion to come out so they can max out in a couple weeks. With any trend of that sort, I think people of MD think..."whats next?" They see mp6 and the cool spells and want that role. Also the fact that Mur long time ago talked about mp6 becoming a normal progression instead of a "rarity". I'm sure there are a few people with the mp6 token of promise. In those regards, I believe those invested in moving forward want a new stage. With the lack of inactivity in the realm, mp6 is a rarity to be sure. The question becomes does MD want it to be a rarity or a progression into the next stage of development.
