1. Uhhh... Projectors generally have a low resolution As you know, ofc. And luckily that doesn't change much concerning my voting chewy, second screen has slightly higher res then 1024 ^^
2. "MD, Coffee, what more can a man wish for?"
3. Not taking people with multiple screens into consideration are you? Tsss... I just picked my main screen now but I usually have a second set up, occasionally use that for browsing the forum (multitasking ftw )
4. Uhhh... Death Ring, could you argument that statement? Because as far as I can see... The 2 are completely unrelated and this is just a spam post in an attempt to get your post count up. And MB, I've sent you (or am about to, right after this post, copied link) a link to a riddle (one that used to be in burns' quest), however, it seems your riddle/question has been removed as well as several others. It seems that whoever did this shows no remorse at all, changing the name to my username? C'mon, after CHEATING at several quests your now trying to shift the blame because now everyone will be watching yahoo answers? At least most people know they've actually EARNED their WP's.
5. First off: I'm not completely "clean" myself. I google riddles occasionally, if they show up literally, why should I put effort into solving them if the quest creator copy pasted them directly? Now, doing burns' quest I came across REMOVED(SPOILERS!) Yahoo! Answer account... And most (if not all, from quests I did not participate in) of those "questions" are riddles in MD quests. I'm pretty certain MB for one writes his own, most of burns' didn't show up on google (he translated them). The question is of course, should we allow this way of "solving a quest"? Because IMO, this is, spoiling the quest (and cheating at it).
Spoiling quests or posting puzzle solutions / walkthrous on the forum is not allowed. You can help individual players but don't hand them the solution, just give them all the clues they need and let them figure it out..you can even give them more cluse than they need , just do not make it a boring click to advance type of game by spoiling it. Posting story spoilers / story structure / walkthrous on the forum or anywhere else will get you a warning, refusing to delete them will have your account permanently closed.
Does not quite cover this, but I believe something should be added and that the common sense should be there for people not to put ALL quest riddles they do not know somewhere for others to answer for them. I do not know who the account in question belongs to, I'm curious why through. ~Obs PS: MB, if I could have a new riddle? I don't feel it fair to send in the solution to this one.
6.
What about the alters *cough* grido/Lib and transfering credits? its pretty easy to get a rusty by having 25 accounts and transfering them?
Uhhh... It's about transferring the code (that expires) into transferable credits (only in pack size of the code), not credits into transferable credits. Hope that clears it up, ~Obs
7. There's a limit on how long you can keep your reward codes. No problem at all mostly, you get it, you use it. There's only one thing: The only use I see for buying rewards codes is to reward them for a quest and be able to give reward immediately etc. Now, as quests tend to last longer then expected, this might take longer then the time the code is "valid". Therefore I'd propose a panel for credit reward codes like the WP one, you use a reward code and you can give someone x credits, usable indefinitely (or a few months). What do you think? Days/weeks sound rather short to me for this purpose.
8. It said first Convention I think there's a difference between a meeting and a convention
9. MD is back up I guess that'd make sense with the "Very soon"
10. Then why post and risk getting them removed?
11. Your forgetting chewy... Grido is your alt, right?
12. Wrong game? EDIT Awww... Edit while I was watching, anyway doesn't seem like the
Take movies of yourself, post on youtube.
mur asked for...
13. Element Principle Principle of Enthropy Principle of Syntropy Principle of Balance Principle of Cyclicity I feel that the ones of the people posted here should only be removed if it is cleaned up for everyone (including those who got 7 by being in story during illusion test).
14. Now, for some accounts there's the "Id expired. Please click the compass menu item to refresh scene." error, it also shows after refreshing.
15. What I've found so far is that the new incryption uses "+" and "/" Any eid's with this don't work, yet. EDIT: As far as I can see eid's with / are fixed (attack and msg that is) + is not... could someone check the Q docs?
16. What about having different kind of keys/scripts that "expire" at a certain point? Keys that'll be used for a requirement to future quest (end keys) could be unlimited but if you know your quests is only going to be up for a month you could use a "1 month" key. As for scripts, they should "all" expire sooner or later as there isn't much point in leaving one around forever. There'd be a clean-up at the end of every month or every 14 days as not to use CPU/memory for this fulltime Also, maybe it could be connected to the account cleanup, so that when a player's account is archived the permanent keys set by him/her would be removed. I'm not sure if this is "easily" codable and how much effort it'd take... But it pretty much eliminates the possibility of forgetting about your key.
17. Except that every script has it's own variables... So you'd only echo the variables of that one script of your own, right? (and maybe those in your own array)
18. On TheCoroner his item page his item shows as "My adepts got into Inner Necrovion and a...', WIDTH, 140, FADEIN, '300', DELAY, 10 ,BGCOLOR,'#FFCC00', FONTFACE, 'Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif', FONTSIZE, '8pt',JUMPHORZ,'false',JUMPVERT,'true',OPACITY,80)" onmouseout="UnTip()"> "My adepts" T~Shirt " I think there's something wrong there...
19. Nice that it works in MDS in the end as well. You forgot to add the comment about having to reset your "@vd=@vc%7+3" next year with a different number through (I told you so )
20. Nah, only half of that is false
*queues the boo's*
WB wookie
21. Try clearing your cache... That might help
22. I'll volunteer for trying to break things
23. Perhaps... Set a ritual in a clickable ("your under attack by ...") with x stats and principles. Possibly those of whoever made the script. And then print x in case of win, print y in case of loss (of course, counted like demo, no exp no wins no VE loss). Or even "X" for a Sword, "Y" for a win, "Z" for a loss, "Q" for a sheath. And perhaps even add restrictions to creatures/stats/principles used by whoever clicks the object for example don't allow tokens or drachorns. It'd add some tactical insight to the items. Another thing which might/would be possible is adding a limited number of tries (say 10) so sheer luck cannot pass the requirement. EDIT: I realize adding the combat system to the clickables is probably a lot of work. (Not exactly sure, don't know that much about coding) And something else I just thought off: Returning flash variables and embedded flash objects would enable users to make puzzles like the broken pattern themselves. I know Cutler has made quite a few on his page, it'd be nice to have stuff like that in steps of a quest for a change to the all the "text based" decryption and riddles (not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just nice to have some variety) My apologies in advance in case I used any wrong terms in my text ~Obs
24. Not any that I have actually found
25. Go through the gate... And there's one tricky point that seems like an "end" but there's another way to go
