i am choosing a certain path to defeat the guards and it is from some hinting and also from some of my own machination. but it will require more time and patience on my part. so I wait. thank you all for your sage advice!

I teach biology so I will give my text book answer which, in my estimation, applies across all genres. "A collection of all the different populations that live in one area" which means I should also define population: " all the individuals of a species that live in one area" If I superimpose those two definitions to MD, then yes, it's a community. Necrovians, Golemus Golemaricum, Marind Bell, Loreroot are populations. we have sub populations with various alliances. No Man's land is where the game operates as community. And I've been told I think too literally but sometimes my literal thinking can lead to metaphorical thinking. At least, in my head it does.

No spoilers please, just hints or tips trying to defeat the guards and I can't find the right ritual when I read though the battle rounds, what should I be looking for that will give me a better understand of how to take the guards down? or perhaps I don't have the right creatures? my current creatures: imperial aramor aramor assassin (2) dark archer II dark archer I heretic archer aramor grasan II (2) grasan I elemental Barren Soul (2) Joker (2) i have fifteen total at the moment so I can sacrifice and/or pick up another at aramory but so far all i'm offered are archers, grasans, aramors and barren souls

hmmm... is why it is hard for me - my real world bleeds into my MD character even when I don't want it to. I don't obey this rule hard and fast because I can't. I want to escape entirely but it's never really possible for me. but I am very glad for MD because it allows me to pretend for just a little while that what goes on around me isn't really there.

right? i agree. that WAS vague of me. sorry so after returning to paper cabin, i have sorted my issues save but the Public Log issue. Adding the "return to paper cabin after level up" on my K doc for newbies! lol (and maybe I should also add - don't be such a vague forum poster?) :P

woop woop ran to paper cabin and picked up a few scrolls. Val, you were right about that one. fountain works again. BUT... the other glitches? now to sort those too....

thanks Val. I'll consider that. I think it's more than that though. especially since I have already redone portions of Maebius' quest to get caught up, finished the story and have sorted a few other things. I'm still of the opinion that I am experiencing some glitchy things.

ok, have been messaging with Eara all day. seems when I went to mp4 a bunch of clickables wont' work for me. in addition, I can't do public logs and there are a few other glitchy issues since I leveled up. anyone? I think it's code issues because I did all sorts of trouble shooting on my computer and am currently logged in on a friend's computer and nope - i can't access some things. in particular, the clickable of the fountain at marind's Roundabout - i'm trying to do Maebius' quest "a little tour of sorts" and I can't click the base of the fountain for my lower heat tolerance. bugger. I followed all of your steps apophys and when I got to save file by extension gif, it saved it as png instead. grrr help?

I have been playing rpgs for several years now. Which actually makes me late on the scene. I AM 39... that said, what keeps me addicted to MD (AD 23?!?) is the people, the freedom, the imagination, the scenes, the creativity. It's like no other game. And it's what you make of it. So pretty much, it's like we're all sitting in art class being given loose instructions for a our blank canvas and we all paint amazing things and some how, they all work together.
