To open the cube takes 1000 lumber, 1000 branches and 50 glass. The resources must be gathered in one person's inventory, and this person will be chosen when enough resources have been gathered/made/donated. Post here if you wish to donate. Fenths will not be accepted (this time).

Nobody is holding the resources yet (as far as I know, anyways), whoever holds them will be decided after it has all been pledged. We have, however, reached 50 glass (assuming Junior's sand gets melted)

it WAS a community effort. Doesn't matter that in the end Laphers came and offered all resources. This sort of effort is about intention to help without getting any benefit, and all people that offered their resources had best intentions and offered their resources without knowing someine will offer everything bulk (thanks Laphers btw).
Idk whats wrong with you that you insist on not seeing the obvious and get stuck in something i could call a technicality...it sounds more dramatic i know, but i can't agree to it. just my opinion.

And to be clear, I did not have sand or glass in my inventory yesterday.  That was entirely the community donating that.

 

The way I look at it is this: I had the resources and by donating them those people who had smaller amounts can hold onto them for another project or quest. Maybe that's my contribution to the community. I don't fight a lot, I don't really roleplay much, I haven't built a quest in a very long time, sometimes I'm quick to point out the bad in MD, but bringing resources to something that benefits all of us was something I could do and do very easily.
