Attacking an NPc such as a shade  will throw up an error saying "Cannot attack player in another scene" , assuming this was an after effect of the last bug fix. recreating fairly easy, create new account, try to attack shade, get error.

You would have been given the choice of 2 principles.

The old story mode has been removed, but the new introduction is still under construction, leaving new characters in a short of limbo.

If I'm not mistaken you should be offered a cube by the shade and then be ported to the park.
