I'd like equipment and spells that let you fly - e.g. go to map view and pick where you want to go.

that just sounds like teleport with extra steps

 

real items to do so like a jetpack are hefty/expensive. MD styled items may be so as well if not sufficiently magically imbued. 

Something like a zeppelin to fly from somewhere would be a massive effort to craft and utilize.

So give them a path to realize their dreams, without a rocket-pack.

Without there being significant cost, very limited usage, etc. I will veto this immediately.

The AP to move around should be designed and all new teleporting/flying should be balanced against this.

It could certainly consume all AP and perhaps some amount of VE.

To me thats not really a big cost but I will listen out for ideas regarding this.
