~ The Memory Outpost ~

On Day 272, Year 21, a small group has set up an outpost at the Stone of Twisted Souls.

Those who gathered shared memories of the Shades and it seemed to affect a memory stone, marking it with an inscription. The stone was then placed into the ground as the lodestone of the outpost.

The first stone reads:

Here before the start. Still here after the end.

We plan to remain there for the foreseeable future and would like to invite you to the outpost for further remembrances about the land and its history. Bring respect for Necrovion and you will be welcome with open arms.

Further information about the Memory Outpost will be made available at the location.

Words of the First Remembrance

Acoustic Remains log

[30/09/26 21:19] :redneck stands still, hands visible and weapons undrawn

[30/09/26 21:20] Syrian:it's been a while

[30/09/26 21:20] samon:Greetings Redneck, I see you've made it to the stone alive

[30/09/26 21:20] Aelis: looks around Here we are.

[30/09/26 21:20] Syrian:cold, and comfortable, just the way i remember

[30/09/26 21:21] redneck: rests a hand on Coinwake's shifting form Greetings. Yes I have, I hope you don't mind I brought Coinwake with me.

[30/09/26 21:21] Aelis:I'm glad we have additional company.

[30/09/26 21:22] redneck:He is covered in gold coins, so it will ease the silence a bit.

[30/09/26 21:22] Syrian: tries to pull off a coin gently and stops pretty solid, he's very pretty

[30/09/26 21:23] samon: nods Fair passage has been paid

[30/09/26 21:23] Syrian:before we do anything here i would like to say thank you

[30/09/26 21:24] Syrian:first to aelis, for organising the venture

[30/09/26 21:24] redneck: chuckles Pretty enough to admire but be careful of his coin.

[30/09/26 21:24] Aelis:I, for one, don't mind the silence. But time has come for some noise indeed.

[30/09/26 21:24] Syrian:to samon, for allowing us passage

[30/09/26 21:24] Syrian:and to redneck, for the return of old friends

[30/09/26 21:26] :samon nods at Syrian

[30/09/26 21:26] Aelis: nods I'm glad we got to do this together.

[30/09/26 21:26] redneck: inclines their head to Syrian Thank you all for making room for an old mosquito.

[30/09/26 21:27] Aelis:Very well then.

[30/09/26 21:28] Aelis:Before we set up the outpost, I would like us to begin with a remembrance.

[30/09/26 21:28] Aelis:Way before people entered Necrovion, the Shades were already part of the land. I think it is fair we remember them first.

[30/09/26 21:29] Aelis:I would like each of us to remember something about them. It doesn't have to be a story or something important. Anything that comes to mind.

[30/09/26 21:29] :redneck falls quiet, resting a hand gently on coinwake as they turn their attention to Aelis

[30/09/26 21:29] Aelis:Who would like to begin?

[30/09/26 21:30] redneck: keeps a hand resting on Coinwake I can begin.

[30/09/26 21:31] :Syrian turns her attention from aelis to redneck

[30/09/26 21:31] :Aelis turns to redneck

[30/09/26 21:32] redneck:Serving the Bell, I grew accustomed to thinking of the Shades as something to stand against.

[30/09/26 21:33] redneck:I would like to remember that there is more to them than what I learned to oppose.

[30/09/26 21:34] redneck:They were not mindless monsters. They selected people for missions, communicated, punished defiance, and protected those they recognized.

[30/09/26 21:40] :redneck holds the Warden-Stamp, 151251 before them

[30/09/26 21:41] :redneck turns it once more before offering it

[30/09/26 21:44] redneck:This stamp bears my name and stands for the authority I carried in service to the Bell. I offer it to the Shades as something personal. My service remains part of my history, but I am willing to surrender this mark of my former station and earn my place anew. If you all will accept.

[30/09/26 21:45] Syrian:it will make a fine offering redneck, i will accept it in hopes that they will take it later

[30/09/26 21:45] :redneck nods

[30/09/26 21:46] :redneck passed Redneck's Warden-Stamp, 151251 to Syrian

[30/09/26 21:46] Syrian:it is the perfect ode to memory, and to endings and beginnings, both old and new

[30/09/26 21:47] :Aelis nods in agreement

[30/09/26 21:47] redneck: withdraws their empty hand and inclines their head to Syrian Thank you for receiving it. May it stand as a token of my intentions. What follows I will prove through my deeds

[30/09/26 21:50] Aelis:Thank you, redneck.

[30/09/26 21:51] Aelis:As much as I feel like commenting and asking questions and trying to turn it into a research session of sorts, I will refrain from doing so.

[30/09/26 21:51] Aelis:Let's focus on our personal remembrances. Might I go next?

[30/09/26 21:52] Syrian:please do

[30/09/26 21:52] samon:Of course

[30/09/26 21:52] samon:And thank you for the great offer, Redneck

[30/09/26 21:52] Aelis:Back then, I remember being a bit terrified of their presence, especially with the story mode interactions.

[30/09/26 21:53] Aelis:For a good while, I had the feeling that a shade was always beside me.

[30/09/26 21:53] Aelis:As time passed, I have come to understand their presence as an essential component of balance itself, and my terror has gradually faded.

[30/09/26 21:54] Aelis:In a way, it seems to me that Necrovion's role in the land balance is also reflective of that position held by the Shades, except with the additional structural and symbolic complexities inherent to a land.

[30/09/26 21:54] Aelis:But I digress. chuckles

[30/09/26 21:55] Aelis:I remember that feeling. A mix of awe and fear, followed by the realization that came after.

[30/09/26 21:55] Aelis: bows Thank you for listening.

[30/09/26 21:56] Syrian:i think a feeling like that is quite common, they do tend to spark quite the intense reaction at first

[30/09/26 21:56] samon:Thank you Aelis

[30/09/26 21:57] samon:Then I shall take over from here

[30/09/26 21:57] samon:Some say these lands have been abandoned by the shades.

[30/09/26 21:58] samon:I know they are still here, watching over us even as we speak.

[30/09/26 21:58] samon:Judging our every action.

[30/09/26 21:58] samon:Many days I have spent roaming these lands.

[30/09/26 21:58] :redneck turns his head to Aelis in acknowledgment, then settles beside Coinwake, listening quietly

[30/09/26 21:59] samon:And every day their whispers grow louder.

[30/09/26 21:59] samon:A single phrase kept echoing through my head.

[30/09/26 22:00] samon:A dying man is almost indistinguishable from a shade.

[30/09/26 22:01] samon:Many times I have considered becoming one with them

[30/09/26 22:01] samon:And perhaps one day I will

[30/09/26 22:03] Vahr:Is this a private conversation?

[30/09/26 22:03] :redneck grows still at samon’s words, his hand resting against Coinwake as he listens

[30/09/26 22:03] Syrian:not at all

[30/09/26 22:03] Aelis:Hello, Vahr. No, it is not. Feel free to join us.

[30/09/26 22:04] Vahr:Wonderful :)

[30/09/26 22:04] Vahr:What are we discussing?

[30/09/26 22:04] Aelis:We are about to set up an outpost here at the stone.

[30/09/26 22:04] redneck:Don't mind Coinwake Vahr, just refrain from messing with his gold coins.

[30/09/26 22:05] samon: smiles at Vahr a small discussion about the shades

[30/09/26 22:05] Aelis:Before we start working on it, I proposed we each remember something about the Shades. As they were here before us, and will certainly remain here after us.

[30/09/26 22:05] Aelis:Would you like to say something too?

[30/09/26 22:06] Vahr:Sure. looks at Coinwake and then the group

[30/09/26 22:06] Vahr:I don’t know a lot about the Shades, but I do feel their presence.

[30/09/26 22:06] Vahr:They are not malevolent

[30/09/26 22:07] Vahr:Rather, they are a presence in the darkness intermingling with light. I always say: light and darkness are friends. I share with them my light and they share their darkness.

[30/09/26 22:08] Vahr:I can be wrong.

[30/09/26 22:08] Vahr:I respect the wisdom they have gathered since the beginning.

[30/09/26 22:09] Vahr:A sort of wisdom that pops up in your mind without knowing the source.

[30/09/26 22:09] Vahr:I’m very curious about many things in MD. And, obviously, that includes the Shades.

[30/09/26 22:09] :Vahr smiles

[30/09/26 22:10] :redneck studies Vahr for a moment then nods

[30/09/26 22:10] Vahr:That is what I have to say about the Shades

[30/09/26 22:10] Vahr:I am no expert.

[30/09/26 22:10] Syrian:it's a good view, thank you for sharing it

[30/09/26 22:10] Aelis:Thank you, Vahr.

[30/09/26 22:11] :Vahr bows slightly

[30/09/26 22:11] samon:Curiosity is always good

[30/09/26 22:11] samon:Almost always

[30/09/26 22:11] Vahr:I’m very curious :)

[30/09/26 22:12] :Aelis turns to Syrian

[30/09/26 22:13] Syrian:ah, seems like it comes to me now

[30/09/26 22:14] Syrian:I am share a similar view to Vahr, I believe the shades to be misunderstood, they are not evil, or good, they just merely "are".

[30/09/26 22:14] Syrian:I take shades to be a call to reflect on ourselves, a darker half, the one we hide from ourselves because we do not like what we see.

[30/09/26 22:15] Syrian:Most find this uncomfortable, so they naturally hate or reject the shades, but for me, I always found a comfort in it, the shades remind me that not everyone is perfect, but we should strive to always acknowledge that there are parts of ourselves we might not like to look at, a shade in the back of our own mind.

[30/09/26 22:16] Syrian:Shades should not be shunned, they should be acknowledged, because it's through this that we can truly learn who we are and provide a contrast so we can appreciate the lighter parts of ourselves, and it's through this belief that I hope we can be allowed to return.

[30/09/26 22:17] Syrian:It is this that i would like us all to remember.

[30/09/26 22:19] redneck: glances at the hand that held his warden stamp then looks to Syrian I will remember your words.

[30/09/26 22:19] Aelis:Thank you all for sharing your memories.

[30/09/26 22:20] :Vahr smiles

[30/09/26 22:20] Vahr:I wonderful point of view.

[30/09/26 22:20] Vahr:A wonderful*

[30/09/26 22:20] samon:Thank you Syrian

[30/09/26 22:20] Vahr:Growth and understanding ourselves.

[30/09/26 22:21] :Aelis reaches for a Memory Stone and holds it out in both hands. Faint lines begin to appear across its surface, as though something beneath the stone were slowly finding its way outward. One by one, the marks settle into letters

[30/09/26 22:22] Aelis:It reads: Here before the start. Still here after the end.

[30/09/26 22:22] Aelis:It seems the stone reacted to our memories. An interesting outcome.

[30/09/26 22:22] :Aelis carefully places the memory stone upon the ground

[30/09/26 22:23] Aelis:This first remembrance shall be the lodestone of our outpost then.

[30/09/26 22:24] Vahr:Wonderful. takes a closer look

[30/09/26 22:24] Aelis:Let us take advantage of the outpost to share more memories and see what effects it might bring.

[30/09/26 22:25] Aelis:Now, let's get to work, shall we?

[30/09/26 22:26] :Aelis unpacks a small tent and starts putting it up

[30/09/26 22:26] samon:Let me help you

[30/09/26 22:27] redneck: rises beside coinwake giving the inscribed stone a final glance “Then lets give those who come after us somewhere to gather. Where would you have me start, Aelis?”

[30/09/26 22:27] redneck: (mosquito might be challenged at this part)

[30/09/26 22:28] Aelis:Please help me with that bench over there. Put it beside the tent.

[30/09/26 22:28] Aelis:If it's too heavy, motivational words will work!

[30/09/26 22:28] Syrian:there is no need for a tent for myself, i just sleep out in the open most of the time anyway

[30/09/26 22:28] :redneck tries to put some words together

[30/09/26 22:28] :samon Lifts one side of the bench and starts dragging it to the side

[30/09/26 22:29] :Vahr watches them work for a moment before approaching Aelis

[30/09/26 22:29] samon:An outpost needs a tent

[30/09/26 22:29] Vahr:How may I help?

[30/09/26 22:29] samon:Even if I too prefer the open sky

[30/09/26 22:29] Aelis:It does! And Nep has been casting a lot of rain lately.

[30/09/26 22:29] :redneck gathers some heat

[30/09/26 22:30] samon:Not a big fan of the rain, it makes my bandages soggy

[30/09/26 22:30] Aelis:It's not good for my layers of clothing.

[30/09/26 22:30] Aelis:Please help samon with the bench, Vahr.

[30/09/26 22:30] Syrian:thinking about it, maybe this is why they used to say i smelt like damp

[30/09/26 22:30] :Vahr nods

[30/09/26 22:31] :Aelis arranges a few supplies around the tent

[30/09/26 22:31] :Vahr grabs the other end of the bench

[30/09/26 22:31] :samon carries it towards its position with Vahr

[30/09/26 22:31] :Syrian passed Piece of Cake to Aelis

[30/09/26 22:32] :Syrian passed Piece of Cake to samon

[30/09/26 22:32] Aelis: stands up and smiles Everything in place.

[30/09/26 22:32] :Syrian passed Piece of Cake to redneck

[30/09/26 22:32] samon:That will certainly help

[30/09/26 22:32] :Syrian passed Piece of Cake to Vahr

[30/09/26 22:32] Aelis:It seems we'll be staying here for a while.

[30/09/26 22:32] :Vahr looks at the cake, smiling widely

[30/09/26 22:33] Vahr:Thanks!

[30/09/26 22:33] :[Spell] Vigor of the tireless Samon

[30/09/26 22:33] :[Spell] Vigor of the tireless Vahr

[30/09/26 22:33] Aelis:Feel free to join us, Vahr. Or visit on occasion.

[30/09/26 22:33] :Syrian uses Cup of Cold Tea in Chawan

[30/09/26 22:33] :Syrian uses Heat stone in Chawan

[30/09/26 22:33] :Syrian obtains Cup of Aromatic Tea from Chawan

[30/09/26 22:33] :[Spell] Vigor of the tireless Aelis

[30/09/26 22:33] :[Spell] Vigor of the tireless Syrian

[30/09/26 22:33] :Syrian passed Cup of Aromatic Tea to Vahr

[30/09/26 22:34] Vahr:Maybe both ;)

[30/09/26 22:34] :Syrian passed Cup of Aromatic Tea to Aelis

[30/09/26 22:34] redneck:Maybe that will help. A replenish of energy.

[30/09/26 22:34] :Syrian passed Cup of Aromatic Tea to redneck

[30/09/26 22:34] Vahr:Thank you, Syrian.

[30/09/26 22:34] :Syrian passed Cup of Aromatic Tea to samon

[30/09/26 22:34] samon:That certainly does, these weary bones aren't what they used to be

[30/09/26 22:34] Syrian:tea from Fire Starters old chawan, a very fitting addition

[30/09/26 22:35] Aelis:Let's just make sure not to do anything to interfere or disturb the surroundings or the Stone of Twisted Souls itself.

[30/09/26 22:35] redneck:Tea and cake! I love cake.

[30/09/26 22:36] samon:Speaking of Fire Starter... We should start a fire

[30/09/26 22:36] redneck:Thank you. Cake warm tea and good company. An old mosquito could grow accustomed to this

[30/09/26 22:37] Syrian:it's old brew, from the time of the TW

[30/09/26 22:37] :redneck prepares a heat stone

[30/09/26 22:37] :samon takes a sip

[30/09/26 22:37] redneck:Wow. Even better raises his tea cup

[30/09/26 22:38] samon:A very good year

[30/09/26 22:38] :Vahr brings the tea to his lips

[30/09/26 22:38] :Vahr sips

[30/09/26 22:38] Syrian:the tea is better, the cake... should still be good, that might be an acquired taste

[30/09/26 22:39] samon:Speaking of old delicacies

[30/09/26 22:40] :samon passed 10th Birthday Spicy Pickle to Syrian

[30/09/26 22:40] :samon passed 10th Birthday Spicy Pickle to redneck

[30/09/26 22:40] :samon passed 10th Birthday Spicy Pickle to Aelis

[30/09/26 22:40] :samon passed 10th Birthday Spicy Pickle to Vahr

[30/09/26 22:41] Vahr:Oooo

[30/09/26 22:41] Aelis:Ohh. That brings back memories.

[30/09/26 22:41] samon:They might have grown a little spicy

[30/09/26 22:41] redneck:Where's the pickle brine. Mosquito loves pickle brine.

[30/09/26 22:41] samon:Feel free to give them to someone else if they're not to your taste

[30/09/26 22:41] :Vahr laughs

[30/09/26 22:42] samon:Or hold onto them

[30/09/26 22:42] Aelis: looks around and then to the memory stone This is good. May it keep its motion.

[30/09/26 22:42] :redneck hesitates before sipping the tea

[30/09/26 22:42] Aelis:Let me just do one thing.

[30/09/26 22:42] Syrian:finely aged, a welcome addition, thank you

[30/09/26 22:43] :redneck relinquishes his membership in the Knights of the Bell pausing quietly

[30/09/26 22:43] redneck:I have served the bell with pride and honor. Today, I leave the Knights, and Marind Bell. I will carry the memory of that service and responsibility for my deeds.

[30/09/26 22:43] :Vahr eyes widen

[30/09/26 22:43] redneck: lifts the old TW brew tea high into the air To those who shared this cup before me and those who have made room for me now

[30/09/26 22:43] Syrian: places a hand on redneck's shoulder to old and new futures remembered

[30/09/26 22:44] :[Spell] Let us remember the words

I do not believe they are killing anyone without very good reason at the moment. Samon invited me to visit just the other day, and he is a good soul. Take the Caretakers for the final word, but if an old Phoenix has any perspective on the Caretakers, as long as you respect Necrovion, they will show respect for you. Respect the hallowed dust or become a part of it. It is an honourable line to draw in the blackened sand.

Passage has been paid for all those that wish to visit the outpost. Anyone who treats the land with respect is welcome to come visit us and does not need to fear the Death Patrol.

Today, Day 274, Year 21, we welcomed more people - and a new Caretaker into our ranks - at the Memory Outpost and shared memories of the humans who once made their place in Necrovion.

Once again, the memories seemed to affect a memory stone, marking it with an inscription. The stone was then placed into the ground alongside the first.

The second stone reads:

They made their place here. They formed their own structures. They found their calling.

The outpost remains. Soon a new remembrance will take place. As usual, further details can be found in game at the scene itself.

Words of the Second Remembrance

Acoustic Remains log

[02/10/26 21:46] Aelis:So, we started this by remembering the Shades.
[02/10/26 21:46] Aelis:At some point, however, humans began making their place here. They built things, formed their own structures, took on different callings.
[02/10/26 21:47] Aelis:Mysterious alliances, the fearsome Death Guard, citizens who sought their own paths... each left a different kind of mark on Necrovion.
[02/10/26 21:47] Aelis:I wonder what remains in our own memories of those who lived here.
[02/10/26 21:47] Aelis:Perhaps there is a person you remember... a group, something you did together... or simply a moment that stayed with you for one reason or another.
[02/10/26 21:48] Aelis:I'd like to hear those memories, if you are willing to share them.
[02/10/26 21:49] :redneck ponders
[02/10/26 21:49] samon:My connection with the land only truly started when most humans had already left
[02/10/26 21:50] samon:Of course I had talked to some who called this land home before then
[02/10/26 21:50] chriselnenepr:In my case, my connection stems out of curiosity. It used to be a place where entry was forbidden unless you were a citizen
[02/10/26 21:51] chriselnenepr:And I always wondered, why is it so closed off, when I could visit any of the other lands
[02/10/26 21:52] :Aelis turns to chrisel and nods
[02/10/26 21:52] :samon nods in agreement
[02/10/26 21:53] chriselnenepr:To this day I catch myself mesmerized, staring at these priests huddled around a fire while some texts are thrown into the flame
[02/10/26 21:53] :chriselnenepr wonders
[02/10/26 21:53] :redneck grows thoughtful, resting a hand beside Coinwake
[02/10/26 21:53] chriselnenepr:Where they trying to erase the presence of their people or did they discover something that should not be made known
[02/10/26 21:54] chriselnenepr:Truly a mystery
[02/10/26 21:54] :chriselnenepr nods at samon
[02/10/26 21:55] samon:For most of my life in this realm, my experience has been much the same
[02/10/26 21:56] Vahr:The fire did not destroy. It learned. And the Shades listened.
[02/10/26 21:56] samon:I had heard the stories of Khalazdad, I saw the Tainted warriors go about
[02/10/26 21:56] Vahr:Or maybe not :P
[02/10/26 21:56] samon:And many more who walked this realm
[02/10/26 21:57] samon:But I believe others are better suited to tell their story
[02/10/26 21:57] samon:There is one person, whom I wish to remember in particular
[02/10/26 21:57] samon:One whom I hope will be here again one day
[02/10/26 21:58] samon:And that is Lashtal
[02/10/26 21:58] samon:Not the Death Patrol Lashtal, but the Necrovion
[02/10/26 21:59] : Syrian draws a card and gets: ♦ Ace of black diamonds
[02/10/26 21:59] samon:Even after the fall, he stayed behind
[02/10/26 22:00] samon:And while he might have lost his citizenship he kept caring for the land
[02/10/26 22:00] samon:While our mission was clear
[02/10/26 22:01] samon:He made sure to keep the flame of Necrovion alive
[02/10/26 22:01] samon:By allowing people to join him, just for a little while
[02/10/26 22:01] samon:And see the land for themselves
[02/10/26 22:01] samon:Think about the land for themselves
[02/10/26 22:01] samon:And, perhaps, embrace it like he did
[02/10/26 22:03] samon:And that is all for tonight, as I'm sure we will be talking about him more during these days
[02/10/26 22:03] Syrian:i liked lash, he always had very interesting opinions about things
[02/10/26 22:04] samon:He was very intelligent
[02/10/26 22:04] samon:I'm sure I have a lot more to learn from him
[02/10/26 22:04] Aelis: *nods* A good friend with an interesting and unique mind. I miss him dearly.
[02/10/26 22:04] redneck:I wish I had spoke with him more.
[02/10/26 22:05] Syrian:i spoke with him quite a bit, azull too, and i still feel that way
[02/10/26 22:05] samon:I'm sure his day will come once more
[02/10/26 22:05] samon:And he'll regret not being here tonight
[02/10/26 22:06] samon:Same for Azull
[02/10/26 22:06] Vahr:Maybe one day the old will return.
[02/10/26 22:06] Syrian:oh he'll definitely hear about it if he ever comes back
[02/10/26 22:06] Aelis:In doing this we are honoring their role and their history. If they ever come back I'm certain they will appreciate it.
[02/10/26 22:06] Vahr:I wonder what state MD will be in when that happens.
[02/10/26 22:07] Aelis:Speaking of interesting people. I'd like to go next.
[02/10/26 22:07] :redneck turns his attention to Aelis
[02/10/26 22:08] Aelis:I think most here will probably not remember his name...
[02/10/26 22:08] Aelis:But when I was very young, I met a Sentinel by the name of Tzaroth747. At that time, the gates of Necrovion were closed to outsiders, and he used to watch Deathmarrow from outside the land.
[02/10/26 22:08] Aelis:I found that decision very interesting.
[02/10/26 22:09] Aelis:He stood guard by the Plains of Deceit. That's where I first met him, on my way to the Tribunal.
[02/10/26 22:10] Aelis:I think he could probably stay inside as a Sentinel. But he remained there every day. He was one of the first people I ever interacted with in this realm, and his words have stayed with me ever since.
[02/10/26 22:10] Aelis:I remember talking to him about darkness and the void at a very young age.
[02/10/26 22:11] Aelis:He definitely set the tone of Necrovion's alliances and citizens for me.
[02/10/26 22:11] Aelis:After a while, I met Peace and Jester, and eventually befriended many among the Tainted Warriors, but somehow Tzaroth remained one of my core references for Necrovion.
[02/10/26 22:11] Aelis:I remember his ways.
[02/10/26 22:11] Aelis: *bows* Thank you for listening.
[02/10/26 22:11] samon:Thank you for sharing
[02/10/26 22:12] Syrian:interesting that standing at the gates was a tradition that went back so far
[02/10/26 22:12] Aelis:I think Jester stood by the gates.
[02/10/26 22:12] redneck:Thanks for sharing.
[02/10/26 22:13] samon: *nods* At least for a long time
[02/10/26 22:13] Vahr:Thanks for sharing, those that shared. It’s interesting hearing about all these people.
[02/10/26 22:13] Aelis:I have a vivid memory seeing him alone by the gates. A lone Sentinel badge. Very imposing.
[02/10/26 22:14] redneck:I would like to share a few words as well. Similar to Aelis, some names of the past.
[02/10/26 22:15] redneck:My first oath ever in MD was to the shades. In those days I stood along side the Necrovion Sentinels and if I can remember correctly Jester had invited me in. These memories are very faint.
[02/10/26 22:15] redneck:Jester wore the title regicide
[02/10/26 22:16] redneck:Very fitting for him
[02/10/26 22:16] redneck:A couple other names that I remember having an impact on my early days serving my first oath, are Pamplemousse and Peace
[02/10/26 22:17] redneck:Peace was always a mystery to me
[02/10/26 22:18] redneck:Her ties to Necrovion and her history always puzzled me
[02/10/26 22:18] redneck:Pamplemousse was almost like a trusting authority figure for me.
[02/10/26 22:19] redneck:Those are my reflections now. The years have blurred the details, and I would welcome the memories of those who knew them better. I would also like to make another rememberance.
[02/10/26 22:20] Aelis:I was mesmerized by Pample. There was certainly a gravitas to her.
[02/10/26 22:21] :redneck failed to cast a spell
[02/10/26 22:21] Aelis:Go ahead, please.
[02/10/26 22:21] redneck: (um hold on apparently I have a spell that is triggering while I am trying to speak)
[02/10/26 22:22] redneck:I would like to remember the initial Death Guard. JadenDew, Fire Starter, Shantu, Dragual Monarth, *Peace* , and Azull.
[02/10/26 22:22] samon:Many big names
[02/10/26 22:22] redneck:I find myself wondering what Peace, Jester, and Pamplemousse along with the old Death Guard would make of us gathered here today. Remembering, listening, and beginning again.
[02/10/26 22:24] Aelis:I like to believe they would be here with us.
[02/10/26 22:24] Syrian:it's definitely had a lot of up's and down's
[02/10/26 22:25] redneck:Yes it has.
[02/10/26 22:26] Vahr:I think an up is coming along.
[02/10/26 22:26] Aelis:It's about time *smiles*
[02/10/26 22:26] Syrian:i would like to hope so
[02/10/26 22:26] samon:I hope many of them will return
[02/10/26 22:26] samon:There's quite a few among them I have considered friends
[02/10/26 22:27] :[Spell] Let there names endure Samon, Aelis, Vahr, Syrian, chriselnenepr
[02/10/26 22:27] Aelis:Who's next? Vahr? Syrian?
[02/10/26 22:28] Aelis:Oh, thank you, redneck.
[02/10/26 22:28] Syrian:i could be convinced to go next
[02/10/26 22:28] Vahr:I’m listening now. It’s a pleasure to hear you all reminisce.
[02/10/26 22:29] Syrian:I am also reminded of a time at the Howling gates, it's something that would mean almost nothing to anyone else, but these stories perfectly encapsulate the fleeting moments between people, that sometimes it's the quiet moments that have the most impact.
[02/10/26 22:30] Syrian:For my own story, it was a moment between me and Azull, back when i was the child. i remember playing with the grass, making piles, jumping in them, throwing it around. Azull was being his usual self, stoic and very much not paying me any attention.
[02/10/26 22:31] Syrian:Naturally, i decided i didn't like that, so i picked up and a handful and i threw it at him instead, square in the face, i couldn't have hit a moment a better shot if i had tried. The look on his face... i thought i had truly done it that time, he was finally about to punish me for my behaviour.
[02/10/26 22:31] Syrian:Alas no. instead he just stares at me...and then he laughs! a man that hardly ever does so, laughed at a moment neither of us thought he would ever laugh at. that speaks volumes to who he was as a person, and the relationship that we had together, even through all the serious moments, he still took the time to have a little fun.
[02/10/26 22:33] Aelis:Hard to picture Azull laughing like that. *chuckles*
[02/10/26 22:33] Syrian:I don't think i will ever forget that face, even talking about it now feels like a mourning that i never got to have, and in some ways, i think that's why some of us are still here, quietly carrying on for the ones that were left behind
[02/10/26 22:34] Aelis:Another friend who should be here among us.
[02/10/26 22:34] samon: *smiles and nods* I think that feeling we all know too well
[02/10/26 22:35] redneck:Thank you for sharing that side of him Syrian.
[02/10/26 22:36] Syrian:I wish he had shown it more, but i think that's what makes the moment stand out to me
[02/10/26 22:38] :Aelis nods
[02/10/26 22:38] Aelis:Vahr, how about you?
[02/10/26 22:39] Vahr:Hmm
[02/10/26 22:39] Vahr:I’ve been around since the time of Khalazdad
[02/10/26 22:39] Vahr:Just kidding :P
[02/10/26 22:40] samon:Tell me, what do you know of Khalazdad?
[02/10/26 22:40] Vahr:He served the Shades and was King of the non-shades. Or was he just king of the Humans?
[02/10/26 22:40] Vahr:Point is
[02/10/26 22:41] Vahr:He was a wonderful character that brought great life or MD
[02/10/26 22:41] Vahr:A storyteller.
[02/10/26 22:41] Vahr:He split himself into three parts.
[02/10/26 22:42] Vahr:Khal the White, Khal the Grey, and Khal the Black
[02/10/26 22:43] Vahr:To force Necrovion’s hand, a king of Golemus said he would destroy the white part of Khal if they didn’t obey his demands.
[02/10/26 22:43] Vahr:He began a dynasty in, what he called, the Desert.
[02/10/26 22:44] Vahr:He really was something.
[02/10/26 22:44] Vahr:I wonder what he’s doing now.
[02/10/26 22:45] Vahr:And why he hasn’t returned.
[02/10/26 22:45] Vahr:But let us not get lost in what was.
[02/10/26 22:46] Vahr:Take into account what we have here..now.
[02/10/26 22:47] Vahr:We have gathered to honor, remember, and to come together over a shared love. This will be the memory of tomorrow.
[02/10/26 22:47] Vahr:And maybe, just maybe, those we miss will return to us.
[02/10/26 22:47] Vahr:Until then, we have eachother. Which is great.
[02/10/26 22:47] samon:A very interesting tale
[02/10/26 22:47] Aelis:I agree.
[02/10/26 22:47] Vahr:That is all.
[02/10/26 22:48] samon:And one with great relevance to this location
[02/10/26 22:48] Syrian:interesting, i don't know many people who still remember that , i had almost forgotten it myself, he was before my time
[02/10/26 22:48] Aelis:We tend to what has been lost in order to strenghten what remains.
[02/10/26 22:48] redneck: *looks up from tending to Coinwake* Thanks for sharing that Vahr.
[02/10/26 22:49] samon:Although that story is not a happy one
[02/10/26 22:49] Aelis:Indeed, samon.
[02/10/26 22:49] :Vahr nods
[02/10/26 22:50] Aelis:Well. Thank you all once again.
[02/10/26 22:51] Aelis:Let's see what becomes of the next memory stone...
[02/10/26 22:51] :Vahr smiles, watching intently
[02/10/26 22:51] :Aelis extends another Memory Stone before him. After a moment, faint marks begin to appear across its surface. They slowly take shape into words
[02/10/26 22:52] Aelis:"They made their place here. They formed their own structures. They found their calling."
[02/10/26 22:52] Aelis: *looks up, smiling* Fine memories.
[02/10/26 22:53] Vahr:There is a lot of info in the forum and the AL. Memories that are not our own.
[02/10/26 22:53] Vahr:And in the papers and the archives.
[02/10/26 22:53] Vahr:Thank you for having me here.
[02/10/26 22:54] samon:Thank you for joining us
[02/10/26 22:54] :[Spell] Let us remember the words

With a lovely count of 10 people present on Day 277, Year 21, we remembered Necrovion's monarchs: their idiosyncrasies, styles of rule, and impact on both Necrovion and the realm as a whole. We also discussed the nature of rulership in relation to the Shades and heard personal memories from people who had first-hand experience with the Kings and Queens.

Even though I had to leave early, the remembrance was masterfully conducted by samon and, for the third time, a memory stone was inscribed. This time, it was held by Syrian. The inscription reads:

Khalazdad, Peace, Jester, Azull, Syrian. Different times, different hands. All joined by one land, and now one stone.

The next remembrance will take place Wednesday, October 7th, at 21:00 Server Time. We'll focus on the Exile next — that sorrowful moment when Necrovion became a deserted land.

[05/10/26 21:02] Nep the Green: (I suppose I would lose it on the way out anyway)

[05/10/26 21:03] Aelis: (yeah.. maybe teleport yourself out? one less cast at least :P)

[05/10/26 21:03] Seigheart:I can ferry those out who dont wish to lose all their ap

[05/10/26 21:03] Aelis:Oh, great. We have another ferryman here.

[05/10/26 21:03] Aelis:That's kind of you, Seig. Thanks.

[05/10/26 21:03] Nep the Green: ( looks at the no jump tag )

[05/10/26 21:04] :Seigheart nods

[05/10/26 21:04] Aelis: (spells are op hehe)

[05/10/26 21:04] Aelis:Let me just check if redneck and chris will be able to join us today and we can start.

[05/10/26 21:05] :Sephirah Caelum disbanded Syrian and took all ☻2 heads.

[05/10/26 21:05] : Sephirah Caelum collects 1 Rainwater

[05/10/26 21:06] Sephirah Caelum:Why only Syrian has heads?

[05/10/26 21:06] samon:Only you do

[05/10/26 21:06] :samon overwhelmed Sephirah Caelum and took all ☻2 heads.

[05/10/26 21:07] Aelis:You can get them from bounties, Sephi. Little red boxes that pop around your screen from time to time.

[05/10/26 21:07] samon:And now they are mine

[05/10/26 21:07] Aelis:Or from other players

[05/10/26 21:07] Aelis:Okay let's begin.

[05/10/26 21:07] Aelis:Hopefully they'll see my messages and join at a later time.

[05/10/26 21:07] Nep the Green: (Bounties have to be enabled in your settings though)

[05/10/26 21:08] Aelis: (ohhh good call. I totally forgot about that)

[05/10/26 21:08] Nep the Green: (Heads can also be... created... on Gateway Island, unless they changed it since I was there. Hah.)

[05/10/26 21:08] Aelis:I might have to leave a bit early tonight. If that happens, we'll have a fellow Caretaker take over and conduct the remainder of the remembrance.

[05/10/26 21:09] Sephirah Caelum:Really...never saw them

[05/10/26 21:09] Aelis:But for now... let's begin. winks

[05/10/26 21:09] Sephirah Caelum: (OK)

[05/10/26 21:10] Aelis:I'd like to start by greeting Nep and Seigheart. Thank you for coming and I hope you enjoy your stay.

[05/10/26 21:10] Aelis:Hopefully you'll share some memories too.

[05/10/26 21:10] Aelis:When the time comes.

[05/10/26 21:10] Nep the Green: nods Thank you for the invitation.

[05/10/26 21:10] :Sephirah Caelum overpowered Syrian

[05/10/26 21:11] Aelis:Previously, we've remembered the Shades and the people who made their place here. (you can check the stone clicky for full logs)

[05/10/26 21:11] Aelis:As MagicDuel evolved, Queens and Kings were elected. They came and went, each leaving their own mark on the land and on the people who lived here.

[05/10/26 21:11] Aelis:I would like to revisit what remains in our memories of them.

[05/10/26 21:11] Aelis:Perhaps there is a monarch you served under, one you met, or simply one whose time here left an impression on you. Maybe you remember something they did, something they said, or simply what Necrovion felt like under their rule.

[05/10/26 21:12] Aelis:If you are willing to share, we'd like to hear those memories.

[05/10/26 21:12] Aelis:Due to temporal constraints, I'd like to go first today.

[05/10/26 21:12] Aelis:Is that okay?

[05/10/26 21:13] samon:The floor is all yours

[05/10/26 21:13] Aelis: bows Thank you.

[05/10/26 21:14] Aelis:I've always found Necrovion's relationship to monarchy a bit different from the other lands. Probably due to the Shades...

[05/10/26 21:14] Aelis:Aside from Khalazdad (if you count him as the first) , I have met all of Necrovion's monarchs. Although very different in their ways, I can see one thing in common in all of them:

[05/10/26 21:14] Aelis:Respect for the land and the Shades.

[05/10/26 21:15] Aelis:However, Azull and Syrian, in my opinion, seem to have achieved a higher degree of cohesion among the ~citizens~ that was unprecedented. I'd say Necrovion's power reached its peak during their rule.

[05/10/26 21:16] :Sephirah Caelum slaughtered Syrian

[05/10/26 21:16] Aelis:I remember what it felt like when they were around, joined by the Death Guard and the Tainted Warriors. A feeling of unease and respect at the same time.

[05/10/26 21:17] Aelis:I was talking to Syrian and samon the other day about some qualities I value in a ruler and that I think are present in her: firmness, restlessness, openness, wisdom and knowledge about her own land.

[05/10/26 21:17] Aelis:That has since become a frame of reference for me when leading the Caretakers.

[05/10/26 21:17] Aelis:I'm happy that Syrian's here with us and I remember her rule.

[05/10/26 21:17] Aelis: nods Thank you.

[05/10/26 21:18] : Aelis collects 14 Rainwater

[05/10/26 21:18] Syrian:thank you aelis, that was a lovely remembrance

[05/10/26 21:18] :Vahr smiles at Aelis

[05/10/26 21:19] Aelis: smiles Who would like to go next?

[05/10/26 21:19] :Sephirah Caelum claps

[05/10/26 21:19] samon:Thank you Aelis smiles

[05/10/26 21:19] samon:I could pick it up from here?

[05/10/26 21:20] Aelis:Please do.

[05/10/26 21:20] Nep the Green:This was way before my time, it's always good to hear stories like these.

[05/10/26 21:20] samon:Then I would like to take us back just a little further

[05/10/26 21:20] :Seigheart happily listens

[05/10/26 21:21] samon:There is one king that has fascinated me more than any other king in this realm.

[05/10/26 21:21] samon:And that is he who would later be known as the King of Nothing.

[05/10/26 21:21] samon:Jester.

[05/10/26 21:21] :Seigheart raises his eyebrow

[05/10/26 21:21] :Aelis smiles as he hears the title

[05/10/26 21:21] samon:While he began as a beloved king.

[05/10/26 21:21] samon:It wouldn't be long before his reign started to deteriorate into chaos.

[05/10/26 21:22] samon:Perhaps he spent too much time with the shades.

[05/10/26 21:22] Seigheart:I remember Jester's reign less as a court and more as a mood that settled over Necrovion. The land never grew soft under a jester's crown. If anything, the jest made the edges sharper. You learned quickly that laughter here was never free of the Shades' attention.

[05/10/26 21:22] samon:But eventually he succumbed to the madness.

[05/10/26 21:22] samon: nods I think you put that quite well

[05/10/26 21:23] Seigheart:May I say something?

[05/10/26 21:23] :Sephirah Caelum conquered Syrian

[05/10/26 21:23] samon:Go ahead

[05/10/26 21:23] Seigheart:I'd like to remember the monarch that I was closest with, if you can call it that.

[05/10/26 21:24] Seigheart:Peace's reign sits differently in my memory. Where other crowns left Necrovion taut, hers left a quieter kind of watchfulness. Not soft. Never soft. Just… held still, as if the land itself had been asked to breathe without forgetting what it was.

[05/10/26 21:24] Seigheart:I remember less of spectacle and more of presence.

[05/10/26 21:24] Seigheart:The Shades still weighed on every road. Respect for them didn't leave with the name on the throne.

[05/10/26 21:24] Seigheart:Under Peace, that respect felt less like a blade at your throat and more like a vow you were expected to keep.

[05/10/26 21:25] Seigheart:Necrovion didn't stop being Necrovion. It simply showed that even here, rule could mean steadiness instead of only dread. That impression stayed with me longer than any single decree. nods That's what I keep of Peace.

[05/10/26 21:25] :Sephirah Caelum smiles

[05/10/26 21:26] samon: nods Peaces rule was a lot more peaceful, so to say

[05/10/26 21:26] Seigheart:Still my favourite PL I have in my logs :)

[05/10/26 21:27] samon:Compared to Jesters chaotic tendencies

[05/10/26 21:27] Seigheart:hehe so true :)

[05/10/26 21:27] Seigheart:That is all I had to say :)

[05/10/26 21:27] samon:Thank you

[05/10/26 21:27] : Seigheart collects 36 Rainwater

[05/10/26 21:27] Sephirah Caelum:Thanks Seigheart

[05/10/26 21:27] samon:Where was I...

[05/10/26 21:27] Vahr:Glad to hear your thoughts :)

[05/10/26 21:28] Seigheart: (Omg, I thought you were done with yours Samon :()

[05/10/26 21:28] Seigheart: (I am so sorry -_-)

[05/10/26 21:28] :Sunfire routed Syrian

[05/10/26 21:28] Syrian:jester being a bad boy and going mad

[05/10/26 21:28] samon: (No worries)

[05/10/26 21:28] samon:As I mentioned, Jester might have been a little too close to the shades

[05/10/26 21:29] samon:Which eventually let to his downfall

[05/10/26 21:29] samon:And with it the land was closed

[05/10/26 21:29] samon:Much like today

[05/10/26 21:29] Sephirah Caelum:Really?!

[05/10/26 21:29] samon:Then, people started to ask themselves.

[05/10/26 21:30] : Nep the Green collects 36 Rainwater

[05/10/26 21:30] :Sephirah Caelum overwhelmed Syrian

[05/10/26 21:30] samon:For a good while only a select few were able to enter

[05/10/26 21:30] samon:So they wondered

[05/10/26 21:30] samon:Is it possible for a human to rule Necrovion?

[05/10/26 21:31] samon:Now, I want you all to take a moment to ponder that question before I give you my answer.

[05/10/26 21:31] samon:Feel free to debate

[05/10/26 21:31] Syrian:it is not

[05/10/26 21:32] samon:Why not?

[05/10/26 21:32] Syrian:human "rule" in necrovion was more about a leader of the people who inhabit the land, not an actual ruler of the land itself

[05/10/26 21:32] :Sephirah Caelum turns to Syrian

[05/10/26 21:32] Nep the Green:My immediate thought was, how does one rule Necrovion without getting too close to the shades, like this Jester did?

[05/10/26 21:32] Sunfire:you are merely guests

[05/10/26 21:32] :samon nods

[05/10/26 21:32] Syrian:even a monarch inside NC is the same to the shades

[05/10/26 21:33] Syrian:we all come from the same and we will all become the same in the end

[05/10/26 21:33] samon:It is interesting you say that

[05/10/26 21:33] :Aelis nods in agreement

[05/10/26 21:33] Vahr:What if Demons and Spirits?

[05/10/26 21:33] Vahr:of*

[05/10/26 21:34] Sunfire:how we identify matters not to the shades

[05/10/26 21:34] Vahr:Leadership isn’t required.

[05/10/26 21:34] samon:To refresh my memory I was reading a series of interviews with the Necrovians at the time.

[05/10/26 21:35] samon:Azull, Peace, Keith Moon, Firestarter

[05/10/26 21:35] Aelis:I think that is inevitable, Nep. I believe one must to be able to coexist with their shades almost like without "touching" it. A very delicate balance.

[05/10/26 21:35] samon:And they all said the same as Syrian

[05/10/26 21:35] Nep the Green: nods And it seems almost impossible in the long run.

[05/10/26 21:35] :Sephirah Caelum slaughtered Syrian

[05/10/26 21:36] Vahr:You require a certain mind to directly deal with the Shades. At least, I think so.

[05/10/26 21:36] Aelis:Heh, Necrovion does seem to encourage that tendency towards entropy.

[05/10/26 21:36] Aelis:Do you think the same applies to all lands?

[05/10/26 21:36] samon:It is a very delicate balance

[05/10/26 21:37] Sephirah Caelum:But doesn't the person in contact with the shades, also do not influence itself?

[05/10/26 21:37] Sephirah Caelum:Peace was really good to be around and to talk too.

[05/10/26 21:38] Vahr:What do you all want the future of Necrovion to be?

[05/10/26 21:38] samon:I do think the rulers themselves have a great influence on this

[05/10/26 21:38] Sephirah Caelum:I do not have the same recollection as Seigheart's as I think I was to new to the land to notice. But Jester... it is already in his name the chaos

[05/10/26 21:39] samon:As a young one I always wondered how a Jester became a king

[05/10/26 21:39] Nep the Green:Nomen est omen huh?

[05/10/26 21:39] Aelis:Very different styles indeed.

[05/10/26 21:39] samon:But as I had a little more time to prepare my answer then all of you, I would like to share mine, before handing the floor over to someone else

[05/10/26 21:39] Seigheart:Popularity contest >.>

[05/10/26 21:40] samon:Because while a true ruler of Necrovion might not be possible, a stable rule over the people definitely is

[05/10/26 21:40] :Sephirah Caelum grins at samon

[05/10/26 21:40] samon:And for that you only have to look at what came after

[05/10/26 21:40] Vahr:Is this the future you envision, Samon?

[05/10/26 21:41] samon:From the ashes of the old Necrovion rose a new king.

[05/10/26 21:41] :Sephirah Caelum overmatched Syrian

[05/10/26 21:41] samon:I'll answer questions in a bit

[05/10/26 21:41] samon:Azull.

[05/10/26 21:41] :Vahr nods

[05/10/26 21:41] samon:Under his and Syrian's rule, Necrovion would enter an era of stability.

[05/10/26 21:42] samon:While I'm sure it wasn't without its problems, few ever reached the outside world.

[05/10/26 21:42] samon:And for a long time the land ran well.

[05/10/26 21:42] samon:Until the ultimate betrayal, of course.

[05/10/26 21:42] samon:But that is a tale for another night.

[05/10/26 21:43] Aelis: claps That was fantastic. Thank you for sharing, samon.

[05/10/26 21:43] Vahr:Yes! Thanks for sharing!

[05/10/26 21:44] Seigheart:Good job!

[05/10/26 21:44] samon:Thank you

[05/10/26 21:44] Seigheart:I really enjoyed it :)

[05/10/26 21:44] samon:I'm glad to hear so

[05/10/26 21:44] Seigheart:God, the chaos that was Jester :P

[05/10/26 21:44] Aelis:Also, thank you Seig for your memories.

[05/10/26 21:44] Vahr:Sunfire, were you around during the time of Khalazdad?

[05/10/26 21:45] samon:It was interesting to watch from the outside

[05/10/26 21:45] Sunfire:unfortunately not

[05/10/26 21:45] Sephirah Caelum:Seigheart! Tell one story about Jester!

[05/10/26 21:45] Aelis:Unfortunately I have to leave now. The other realm is very demanding these days.

[05/10/26 21:45] Vahr:Oh okay

[05/10/26 21:45] Aelis:Samon, however, will continue hosting this remembrance

[05/10/26 21:45] Vahr:Bye Aelis!

[05/10/26 21:45] Aelis: (something came up, sorry about that)

[05/10/26 21:45] samon:Good night, Aelis!

[05/10/26 21:45] :Sephirah Caelum waves

[05/10/26 21:45] samon: (No worries ^^ )

[05/10/26 21:46] Sunfire:i have read about his vigil to enter the land

[05/10/26 21:46] Aelis:Night all! See you later. Enjoy!

[05/10/26 21:46] Vahr:As have I.

[05/10/26 21:46] Sephirah Caelum:Yep, I read about his vigil too

[05/10/26 21:46] Syrian:take care aelis

[05/10/26 21:46] Seigheart:Seph, my memory isnt good enough to recall anything noteworthy. That was many years ago lol

[05/10/26 21:46] Sephirah Caelum:And I remember Peace saying she was a child of Khalazad

[05/10/26 21:47] Sephirah Caelum:Ahhhh....Seigheart...

[05/10/26 21:47] Sephirah Caelum:But indeed, it was many years ago.

[05/10/26 21:47] samon:I also had to do a little bit of reading to refresh my memories

[05/10/26 21:47] Sephirah Caelum:I really don't remember the chaos...

[05/10/26 21:47] samon:But even incomplete memories are more than welcome

[05/10/26 21:47] Seigheart:What I remember most is how it ended. King Jester turned the kingship tools on himself, and on half the realm, jailing and excommunicating until Necrovion was mostly rebels and empty guild halls.

[05/10/26 21:48] chriselnenepr:Made it

[05/10/26 21:48] samon:Hello Chris!

[05/10/26 21:48] Syrian:hello chrisel

[05/10/26 21:48] :Sephirah Caelum sliced Syrian

[05/10/26 21:48] chriselnenepr:Hello to all !

[05/10/26 21:48] samon:The end of his rule is also the part that was etched in my memory

[05/10/26 21:48] Vahr:Hey!

[05/10/26 21:49] samon:Is there anyone who would like to take the floor, and share one of their memories?

[05/10/26 21:49] Sephirah Caelum:And how he lost the crown. Did he loose it?

[05/10/26 21:49] Seigheart:I think he lost the crown and his head lol

[05/10/26 21:49] Sephirah Caelum:Or he just renounced?

[05/10/26 21:49] samon:He did lose the crown after that

[05/10/26 21:49] Seigheart:Same swift motion

[05/10/26 21:49] Sephirah Caelum:Ohhhh

[05/10/26 21:49] samon:He got send to jail for a long time

[05/10/26 21:49] Syrian:i could go next, when there's a moment

[05/10/26 21:50] Sephirah Caelum:Yep

[05/10/26 21:50] samon:And when he returned he became the King of Nothing

[05/10/26 21:50] samon:But then I would now like to ask your attention for Syrian

[05/10/26 21:51] Syrian:Again I would like to take a moment to remember Azull, the one that was there for me since the beginning.

[05/10/26 21:52] Syrian:I remember him finding in me NC, when i was barely 2 months old. I think he realised in that moment that he wanted to take me under his wing, i'm still not sure why he did it back then, but I think it turned out to be the right choice

[05/10/26 21:52] Syrian:Call it natural wisdom, kingly circumstance, maybe luck, i don't know, but i am glad that he did

[05/10/26 21:53] Syrian:As a king he was always firm but fair, and we worked well together. Decisions were a discussion, not a demand, and we usually reached the same one.

[05/10/26 21:53] :Sephirah Caelum overwhelmed Syrian

[05/10/26 21:54] Syrian:Everyone was free to weigh in on their opinion too, but afterwards, something decided on was to be the action of all of us. I think this is the hive mind that people often talked about..

[05/10/26 21:54] :Fang Archbane glides overhead

[05/10/26 21:54] Syrian:He would have made a good king even now, and I find it a shame to see how quickly time moves on and forgets the people who had such an impact, and in joining this outpost I hope to finally be able to have that closure that I couldn't before.

[05/10/26 21:56] samon:Azull was a very beloved ruler

[05/10/26 21:56] Syrian:The hardest part of going forward is always the people we leave behind

[05/10/26 21:56] samon:Thank you Syrian

[05/10/26 21:56] samon: nods Too many that have disappeared from this realm

[05/10/26 21:56] Vahr:Their memory lives with us.

[05/10/26 21:56] Sephirah Caelum:thanks Syrian

[05/10/26 21:56] :Fang Archbane lands by Samon

[05/10/26 21:57] samon:Hello Fang, welcome

[05/10/26 21:57] Fang Archbane:The Oath is held. I have answered your summons, Old Corpse

[05/10/26 21:57] samon:I'm glad you're here

[05/10/26 21:58] samon:On that note, do you have anything to share about the rulers of Necrovion?

[05/10/26 21:58] Syrian:a good turnout today

[05/10/26 21:58] :Nep the Green nods at Fang

[05/10/26 21:58] samon:Or should I ask someone else to step forward first?

[05/10/26 21:58] :Fang Archbane narrows his eyes slowly as he looks off to the horizon

[05/10/26 21:58] Fang Archbane:... Which generation.

[05/10/26 21:58] :Fang Archbane bows to Nep of the Wood

[05/10/26 21:58] samon:Whichever you prefer, we have talked about each one since Peace

[05/10/26 21:59] :Fang Archbane sighs as he thinks

[05/10/26 21:59] Sephirah Caelum:Unless you have met Khalazad

[05/10/26 21:59] Fang Archbane:What about their people. Does it have to be their kings? Or are... Honourable mentions like now gone caretakers an option

[05/10/26 21:59] Seigheart:I did as another soul. His legend proceeds him

[05/10/26 21:59] :Sephirah Caelum overwhelmed Syrian

[05/10/26 22:00] samon:For now we would like to focus on the rulers of Necrovion

[05/10/26 22:00] samon:But afterwards we can talk about anything else

[05/10/26 22:00] Fang Archbane:... I understand. The bill go through three rulers of the past. One by one. If that is acceptable

[05/10/26 22:00] Syrian:you are obviously free to share something about any one of them though, even if someone already did

[05/10/26 22:00] Fang Archbane: (*then I'll)

[05/10/26 22:01] samon: nods at Fang I'd be glad to hear it, and afterwards I'm curious about Seighearts encounters with Khal

[05/10/26 22:02] Fang Archbane:Peace was my first mentor after my first mentor. She picked up the pieces of an old, broken dog. When my original kiln forged me, it forged me in a cold fire. It was Peace, with the aid of Handy Pockets, who pieced me back together.

[05/10/26 22:03] Fang Archbane:Peace saw past all my lies. All my deception. The illusions I had cast upon the realm... And the illusions I had cast upon myself, unknowingly. She had... Has, the sharpest perception I've ever encountered. She taught me to stop lying to myself

[05/10/26 22:04] Fang Archbane:A debt I will never be able to pay back. A memory I will cherish forever. Peace was a better soul than I deserve. That part seems a recurring theme in my life and adventures. When Peace had to leave, a part of my Soul left with her.

[05/10/26 22:05] Fang Archbane:Jester took me in after Peace left.

[05/10/26 22:06] Fang Archbane:He taught me how to control my emotions. His to direct my Energy Burn so I only destroyed what I desired to. He taught me... That the sharpest knife is the one you choose never to wield. That a kingdom of ash is still a kingdom. That you can be a King of Nothing and still stand tall amongst the remains

[05/10/26 22:06] Fang Archbane:It was from Jesters soul, that I refined my control over emotional, and mental warfare. He helped me refine my Illusions... So that they never hurt those I love ever again

[05/10/26 22:07] :Fang Archbane slowly grabs some sand from the floor and lets it run

[05/10/26 22:08] Fang Archbane:He taught me that the tighter you try and control something, the faster it leaves your hands. He taught me that the only true way to kingship, was to give your people their full autonomy, and to have faith in your chosen Kin. That it's better to be betrayed... Than to betray

[05/10/26 22:08] Fang Archbane:When Jester left... A part of me died. It wasn't the same as when Peace left. Somehow... Peace gifted me closure before she left. It felt like... She knew.

[05/10/26 22:09] Syrian:no king has any power if the people do not want to be lead

[05/10/26 22:09] Seigheart:I disagree. Khal was decreed to lead by the Shades themselves. You can't argue with that :P

[05/10/26 22:10] Fang Archbane:Azull and I have rarely saw eye to eye. But it was he who I met after I lost Jester. We argued. More often than we spoke. It was... Different. But I could still feel in him what I felt in my other Dark Masters. We couldn't get along. Not at first. But we humoured each other from time to time.

[05/10/26 22:10] Fang Archbane:If Peace was my Savior, and Jester my Teacher... Then Azull was my whetstone. This man never let me do anything halfway. He taught me that willpower only meant as much as you were willing to sacrifice.

[05/10/26 22:12] Fang Archbane:But azulls fire was warm. It hurt. But it was warm. Somehow... Warmer than the other fires before. I hated the man for a long time. I'm sure he despised me as well in the beginning. But eventually... We came to understand each other. As two martial saints do when they clash fists. As two swordsmen do when their blades meet.

[05/10/26 22:12] Fang Archbane:Azull and I fought over years. Eventually... I don't know exactly when it happened... But I realized I understood him. I realized I stopped hating him. I realized... It almost felt like I was looking in a mirror. He was the better version of me.

[05/10/26 22:13] Seigheart:No one is the better version of you but you.

[05/10/26 22:13] Fang Archbane:I stopped looking at him like something to be conquered. I started looking at him like a goal to be met. I realized how blind I had been. That the rulers of Necrovion had been forging me through generations. That Azull... Was my Final Crucible.

[05/10/26 22:13] Seigheart:So thats 2 people.

[05/10/26 22:14] Seigheart:lol sorry

[05/10/26 22:14] samon:Thank you Fang, your personal connection to these people is invaluable

[05/10/26 22:15] Fang Archbane:In the end, before he left... We came to a silent understanding. I stopped hating the man. I respected him before I realized it. He was no hurdle... He was a wall, just like a certain Demon. He was something built to help others grow. And it is our of duty to great rulers like him and those before... That I continue their work. I try to do what little I can to honor their memories.

[05/10/26 22:16] Fang Archbane:The Broken Dog will never forget where it came from. Even if he chose the Phoenix and the Bodhisattva path... It was very specific souls that helped me when I finally fell. A fool, an Icarus having flown too closely to the sun.

[05/10/26 22:17] :Fang Archbane bows his head to the stone

[05/10/26 22:17] samon:I think your words have honored them

[05/10/26 22:17] Fang Archbane:... Gone... But never forgotten. Hail to the Deep Dark that forged us all.

[05/10/26 22:17] Syrian:a very storied history , thank you

[05/10/26 22:18] Nep the Green:Fang is always great once you get him talking.

[05/10/26 22:19] samon: nods If you ever find yourself dead along with him you wont have to worry about getting bored

[05/10/26 22:19] Seigheart:Well said

[05/10/26 22:20] samon:Seigheart, could I bother you to tell a little something about the one ruler we haven't really spoken of yet tonight?

[05/10/26 22:21] samon:Khalazdad himself

[05/10/26 22:22] Seigheart:I don't really remember much... but his presence

[05/10/26 22:22] Seigheart:His aura felt like heat that never quite became a fire, dry wind over stone, shade without comfort. Close up it pressed quiet on the mind, as if a story were about to start and you were already inside it. Warmth and emptiness at once: White’s patience, Black’s edge, Grey’s stillness between them. Not loud. Not soft. Just inevitable, like dunes rearranging while you watch.

[05/10/26 22:23] Seigheart:It clung to the Howling Gates like dust to a tent flap. Speak near him and your own words came back sharper, rearranged, asking what you meant.

[05/10/26 22:23] Seigheart:Not loud.

[05/10/26 22:23] Seigheart:Not soft.

[05/10/26 22:23] Fang Archbane:... A soundless scream in a Void

[05/10/26 22:24] Seigheart:Like the dunes rearranging while you watch, a half-shade weight in the air, gold of a crown you could feel before you saw it, and under it a hollow where a warmer heart might have been, rattling when the desert wind moved.

[05/10/26 22:25] Seigheart:I'm glad I never had to face his gaze. I was too new. Just a speck.

[05/10/26 22:27] :Fang Archbane bows his head to the Stone in silence

[05/10/26 22:28] Vahr:I wonder if there’s a way to contact this people.

[05/10/26 22:28] Vahr:these*

[05/10/26 22:29] samon:Thank you Seigheart

[05/10/26 22:29] samon:Khalazdad's presence was legendary

[05/10/26 22:29] Syrian:we tried a few, vahr, but many are unreachable

[05/10/26 22:29] :Vahr sighs

[05/10/26 22:29] Vahr:Maybe they’ll return someday.

[05/10/26 22:30] samon:Would anyone else like to share something?

[05/10/26 22:31] samon:Otherwise I believe this is a good time to end this ceremony

[05/10/26 22:32] Vahr:Thank you for sharing your memories. Now, I will remember what you said about them.

[05/10/26 22:33] Vahr:And so their memory expands.

[05/10/26 22:33] Nep the Green:Amazing ceremony.

[05/10/26 22:33] samon:There is one more ruler we haven't talked of much tonight, because she has not yet become a memory.

[05/10/26 22:34] samon:I would like to ask Syrian to close out the ceremony

[05/10/26 22:34] samon:By filling the memory stone with all the stories shared today

[05/10/26 22:34] Fang Archbane:Nep, I'm going to send you a song to play. It might be more... SoCal than it should be... But I'd like to Dedicate it to the Kilns of the Past. Could you play it in scene for me?

[05/10/26 22:35] Syrian:thank you samon, steps forward and holds out the memory stone in front of her

[05/10/26 22:35] Syrian: watches as the stone slowly starts to glow, drinking in all the shared memories Khalazdad, Peace, Jester, Azull, Syrian. Different times, different hands. All joined by one land, and now one stone...

[05/10/26 22:35] Syrian:We commit this stone in the memory of all that came before, and with hope of what can yet be. thank you everyone, for such delightful tales.

[05/10/26 22:36] :Syrian steps back and nods to samon, the stone now complete

[05/10/26 22:36] samon:Thank you all for joining us

[05/10/26 22:36] samon:The next ceremony will be on Wednesday, same time

[05/10/26 22:36] :[Spell] Adolla Link

[05/10/26 22:37] Aelis: claps It seems I got back just in time.

[05/10/26 22:37] Aelis:Thank you all indeed.

[05/10/26 22:37] :Syrian failed to cast a spell

Among old and new visitors alike, we reminisced about a mournful period in Necrovion's history. On Day 279, Year 21, about ten years and a few months after the closing of Necrovion, we remembered how it happened and how it felt.

There were memories of defiance, sadness, apathy and entropy. Despite all the sorrow, a final remembrance spoke of the future, and I would like to quote a bit from it:

"[...] I have returned to find that memory still lives, and where memory endures, there is always something new to build." — Marvolo

After that, a new memory stone imprinted its words:

The people left the land, but it did not leave them.

We will gather once again this Friday, October 9th, at 21:00 Server Time for one last historical remembrance, this time focusing on those who remained in the wasteland.

Words of the Fourth Remembrance

[07/10/26 11:19] Aelis:Morning, samon!
[07/10/26 11:19] :Aelis yawns
[07/10/26 11:33] :samon wins against Aelis

[07/10/26 14:13] : Aelis collects 7 Rainwater
[07/10/26 20:49] : Nep collects 9 Rainwater

[07/10/26 20:53] samon:Hello Vahr, Nep
[07/10/26 20:53] Nep:Good evening ~
[07/10/26 20:54] Aelis:Hello everyone
[07/10/26 20:54] Aelis:Let me work my portal magic real quick
[07/10/26 20:54] : Aelis collects 3 Rainwater
[07/10/26 20:55] :[Spell] Join us for the Memory Outpost
[07/10/26 21:00] :Else feels the urge to take the memory stones
[07/10/26 21:00] Else:just kidding Samon
[07/10/26 21:01] Aelis:Please don't, old friend. *smiles*
[07/10/26 21:01] Aelis:It's only a couple days
[07/10/26 21:01] :Else sits by a rock
[07/10/26 21:01] Marvolo:It's been a long time since I was here
[07/10/26 21:01] Aelis:Thank you for coming
[07/10/26 21:01] samon:Thanks for resisting the urge :)
[07/10/26 21:02] Aelis:Ah, Marvolo. What a nice surprise.
[07/10/26 21:02] :Seigheart waves
[07/10/26 21:03] Aelis:It's eerie seeing you show up at this precise moment.
[07/10/26 21:04] Aelis: (I think redneck and Sephi won't be able to attend. Let me try chrisel and we can begin)
[07/10/26 21:04] Aelis:Also, congratulations on your primordial. It looks amazing!
[07/10/26 21:05] Seigheart:Very cool
[07/10/26 21:06] Aelis:Okay. Shall we begin?
[07/10/26 21:07] samon:I think we can start
[07/10/26 21:08] :Aelis nods
[07/10/26 21:08] :Vahr smiles and nods
[07/10/26 21:09] Aelis:Welcome once again, new and old faces alike.
[07/10/26 21:09] Aelis:And new old faces too! *chuckles*
[07/10/26 21:09] Syrian: *whispers* that's you, marv
[07/10/26 21:10] :Aelis winks at Syrian and then resumes the solemn tone
[07/10/26 21:10] Aelis:Not every memory is a fond one.
[07/10/26 21:10] Aelis:We turn now to a period of great turmoil in Necrovion's history.
[07/10/26 21:11] Aelis:Ten years ago, back in Year 11, a group of people attacked the human side of Necrovion and, with the help of a double agent, managed to disband the Tainted Warriors, its only remaining alliance.
[07/10/26 21:11] Aelis:To much disagreement, this forced the citizens out of the land, and Necrovion became a wasteland.
[07/10/26 21:12] Aelis:The four years of prosperity ushered in by Azull and Syrian were past now, and the last bastion of loyal citizens had become the Necrovion Nomads.
[07/10/26 21:12] Aelis:I'd like to focus on our memories about that moment and its aftermath.
[07/10/26 21:12] Aelis:Do you remember the Exile? Were you there when it happened? Maybe you met a Nomad and heard their tale...
[07/10/26 21:13] Aelis:...perhaps you recall how it felt once the land was empty.
[07/10/26 21:13] Aelis:One thing is certain: the people left, but the memories remain. Let us focus on those.
[07/10/26 21:13] Aelis:If you're willing, I'd like to hear those memories.
[07/10/26 21:13] Aelis:Who would like to begin?
[07/10/26 21:14] samon:I could start, if you'd like
[07/10/26 21:14] Aelis:Sure, that would be great, samon.
[07/10/26 21:15] samon:Like many I was shocked when I heard of the events in Necrovion.
[07/10/26 21:15] samon:DST had managed to infiltrate the Tainted Warriors and destroyed it from the inside out, leaving the land without an alliance.
[07/10/26 21:15] samon:At first there were a lot of questions.
[07/10/26 21:15] samon:What would happen to the land?
[07/10/26 21:16] samon:But soon came the answers.
[07/10/26 21:16] samon:"Necrovion Gates CLOSED - Land evacuated"
[07/10/26 21:16] samon:Red the headlines
[07/10/26 21:16] samon:People scrambled to make it out alive, but the land was sealed.
[07/10/26 21:17] samon:With some support from MB the passage of war was opened, allowing those stuck in inner Necrovion to make their way out.
[07/10/26 21:17] samon:It is this passage that I used to enter.
[07/10/26 21:18] samon:And started my relation with the land
[07/10/26 21:18] samon:Because we all knew before long death would follow.
[07/10/26 21:18] samon:As a Caretaker I had hoped to make my way to the graveyard to tend to the dead.
[07/10/26 21:19] samon:And I would succeed, although not through the path I had envisioned.
[07/10/26 21:19] samon:The Caves of Torment had been locked off, severing the link between inner and outer Necrovion.
[07/10/26 21:20] samon:So not far from here, just outside Deathmarrow, I made up camp.
[07/10/26 21:20] samon:With little more than a flask of water to protect me, I sat down to rest.
[07/10/26 21:20] samon:And the next thing I remember I was but one of many corpses in the graveyard.
[07/10/26 21:21] samon:While some Necrovians had fled, to try and rebuild from the outside, many had decided to stay.
[07/10/26 21:21] samon:And defy the curse that was put on the land.
[07/10/26 21:22] samon:This defiance still remains in those who left Necrovion all those years ago.
[07/10/26 21:23] samon:And I believe one day they will be able to truly return home
[07/10/26 21:24] :Vahr smiles
[07/10/26 21:24] samon:Thank you
[07/10/26 21:24] samon:That was my story for tonight
[07/10/26 21:24] Aelis: *nods* You are a living part of this, samon. Thank you for sharing your memories.
[07/10/26 21:25] Vahr:Thanks for sharing :)
[07/10/26 21:25] Syrian:i only wish more of them were still around to continue that same defiance, but eventually decay get's to us all
[07/10/26 21:26] samon:That goes for the nomads as much as the rest of us
[07/10/26 21:26] Aelis:That is my wish as well.
[07/10/26 21:26] samon:I believe the spirit is still strong, even though some sleep
[07/10/26 21:27] Seigheart:One of the few alliances that I was a part of, for a very brief period of time
[07/10/26 21:27] Syrian:my story is probably a little shorter than that one, but i could go next
[07/10/26 21:27] Aelis:I believe that in revisting these moments as we've been doing, we will manage to restore something to the land.
[07/10/26 21:27] Aelis:Please do, Syrian.
[07/10/26 21:27] Syrian:my experience with the time it happened at least, to the best i can remember, anyway
[07/10/26 21:28] :Sunfire waves at Marvolo before taking a seat
[07/10/26 21:28] :Marvolo waves back
[07/10/26 21:28] Syrian:I didn't exactly see it happen, as most of us were asleep at the time, as that was the entire point, but I heard about it, and saw an image of it posted by Fire Starter while looking through my archives again
[07/10/26 21:29] Syrian:The parts that I do know, were that Eara Meraia was making her move over to the TK's, but did so at a time where both me and Azull weren't able to fill the slot. This created an opening in the number of people in the alliance which was used by someone to invite DST into the alliance.
[07/10/26 21:29] Syrian:Obviously with Azull unable to kick her, she was able to gather enough loyalty to take control of the alliance and began removing people, Azull, first, then myself.
[07/10/26 21:30] Syrian:Afterwards, from what I recall, she sent a message to mur, reminding him of something he said, that a land without an alliance would be closed, or something to that effect. And so with that, Mur decided that NC , now without an alliance, would be closed and become what it is today.
[07/10/26 21:30] :Seigheart shudders at the mention of that three lettered troll
[07/10/26 21:30] Syrian:Many of the nomads have since left, and while we won't know if the loss of the TW was the cause, I think it must have, in part, being part of the reason for their departure. Perhaps due to sadness, or just a general feeling of apathy and release from their duty.
[07/10/26 21:31] Syrian:I think it got to me too, for a while, but i found a way to bring myself back here, and hopefully others can some day do the same
[07/10/26 21:31] samon:I know they will
[07/10/26 21:32] samon:Thank you Syrian
[07/10/26 21:32] Aelis:It certainly affected MagicDuel's balance in many ways. More than initially anticipated.
[07/10/26 21:33] Seigheart:It was a time of uncertainty, thats for sure. Never knew what would still exist at the end of every day
[07/10/26 21:33] Aelis:At least you're here with us today to tell that story.
[07/10/26 21:34] Aelis:Ahem. Not merely tell that story. Resurface that memory.
[07/10/26 21:34] Sunfire:dst was not a big fan of the so called hive mind, and Necrovion was one of the few forces that could actually push back at the time making it a more "fun challenge"
[07/10/26 21:35] Vahr:What does dst stand for?
[07/10/26 21:35] :Seigheart looks for dst: was not online in the past hours. Last time it was seen active around Day 195 of the year 21
[07/10/26 21:35] Seigheart:You are not allowed to say anything bad about her. Chewett will never let it go
[07/10/26 21:36] Aelis:People would joke that is stood for daylight saving time.
[07/10/26 21:36] Aelis:But I don't really know.
[07/10/26 21:36] :Vahr chuckles
[07/10/26 21:36] samon:I'm not sure it stood for anything
[07/10/26 21:36] Aelis:Would you like to share a memory, Sunfire? I think you were around when it happened too, right?
[07/10/26 21:37] Sunfire:I was around, and with one foot in her inner circle with Eon and No one
[07/10/26 21:38] Sunfire:yet i was as surprised as everyone else since this was a plan she had not shared, at least not with me.
[07/10/26 21:39] Sunfire:at the time i had recently switched to the SoS, and had seen her actions very much focussed on Loreroot
[07/10/26 21:40] Sunfire:but as i said that was more because she didnt like the people inthere and how they ran things.
[07/10/26 21:41] Sunfire:As for Necrovion, im not sure what the big issue was other than disliking the hive mind. seemingly everyone blindly following the king and speaking and handling with one voice
[07/10/26 21:41] Sunfire:it seemed you lost your individuality
[07/10/26 21:42] Sunfire:and they were strong, smart and resourceful. the only ones who could oppose a real threat to her so taunting them was a much more fun game to play i reckon
[07/10/26 21:43] Sunfire:they thought they had reached everything there was to reach inhere so they wanted a next challenge
[07/10/26 21:45] Aelis:I see.
[07/10/26 21:45] Sunfire:she brought much drama to th realm but also much change. sometimes good sometimes not. the way she did things were not always diplomatic to say the least
[07/10/26 21:46] Aelis:Yes. Definitely an agent of entropy. *smiles*
[07/10/26 21:48] Aelis:I find it hard to believe it's been 10 years already.
[07/10/26 21:49] Aelis:Thank you for sharing, Sunfire.
[07/10/26 21:49] Aelis:I'll go next then.
[07/10/26 21:50] Aelis:I was absent from the realm when it happened... but I definitely felt the strange transition.
[07/10/26 21:50] Aelis:I had to leave for a while in Year 10, when Necrovion was thriving, only to return a couple years later to find the wasteland.
[07/10/26 21:51] Aelis:I spent some time asking around and reading the documented records of what happened.
[07/10/26 21:51] Aelis:I must say that, to this day, I find the decision to close the land very unfair.
[07/10/26 21:52] Aelis:I wholeheartedly agree with what was said in protest at the time: "Why does a land have to have an alliance?".
[07/10/26 21:52] Aelis:But it is what it is. Now we are here, years later, still witnessing the effects of that decision.
[07/10/26 21:53] Aelis:When I returned, most Nomads were still around, some a little discouraged, some still going. However, every one of them carried their Necrovion history with them and talked about it with pride.
[07/10/26 21:53] Aelis:...I learned that due to their timeless nature, Shades can remember into the future. I wish it were the case for me sometimes and I could remember a future where the Nomads were a rightful part of their land once again.
[07/10/26 21:54] Aelis: *turns to Deathmarrow* Thank you for listening.
[07/10/26 21:55] Vahr:Thank you for sharing.
[07/10/26 21:55] Aelis: *turns back to the crowd and smiles* Any others?
[07/10/26 21:56] :Seigheart feeds the Deathmarrow
[07/10/26 21:56] Marvolo:I would like to add something small
[07/10/26 21:57] Aelis:That's lovely. Go ahead, Marvolo.
[07/10/26 21:58] Marvolo:To go a bit further back in time, I remember when Khalazdad still walked among us, when the Sentinels stood strong and the mysteries of Necrovion were only beginning to unfold.
[07/10/26 21:58] Marvolo:I remember the wars, the old alliances, and the choices that changed us forever.
[07/10/26 21:58] Marvolo:But I have returned to find that memory still lives, and where memory endures, there is always something new to build.
[07/10/26 22:00] Marvolo:That's all.
[07/10/26 22:00] Aelis:I couldn't agree more.
[07/10/26 22:01] Aelis:Thank you for your words.
[07/10/26 22:02] Aelis:Would anyone else want to contribute?
[07/10/26 22:04] Aelis:...very well. I think Marvolo's wrapped things up beautifully.
[07/10/26 22:05] Aelis:Let us see now... *reaches for another memory stone*
[07/10/26 22:05] :Aelis notices a faint line appears across its surface
[07/10/26 22:05] Aelis:It reads: The people left the land, but it did not leave them.
[07/10/26 22:06] Aelis: *looks at the inscription* Almost as if the stone itself is reflecting on what has been said.
[07/10/26 22:06] Aelis: *looks up* I'd thank you once again for joining us for this remembrance.
[07/10/26 22:07] Vahr:Thank you, Stirrer, for hosting this.
[07/10/26 22:07] samon:Thank you Aelis, and everyone else
[07/10/26 22:07] Nep:It was very educational.
[07/10/26 22:07] Else:shared an image
[07/10/26 22:07] Seigheart:I like reminiscing lol
[07/10/26 22:07] Aelis:It makes me happy to see so many people interested in this and willing to share their thoughts and recollections.
[07/10/26 22:07] : Syrian draws a card and gets: ♠ Queen of red spades
[07/10/26 22:08] Aelis:We've been going through the memories in almost a chronological manner.
[07/10/26 22:08] Seigheart:shared an image
[07/10/26 22:09] Aelis:So, naturally, the next remembrance will focus on those who remained here at the wasteland.
[07/10/26 22:09] Aelis:Luckily one of them is still around with us. *winks at samon*
[07/10/26 22:09] :samon nods at Aelis
[07/10/26 22:10] Aelis:Please join us Friday, again at 21:00 ST.
[07/10/26 22:10] :Vahr nods
[07/10/26 22:10] Aelis:For one last chronological remembrance before the final and slightly different one.
[07/10/26 22:11] :[Spell] Let us remember the words

On Day 281, Year 21, we remembered the ones who watched over Necrovion in recent years, carrying out their seemingly eternal toil. We also had the privilege of hearing a Death Patroller recount his own story and learning of the burden they carry.

Marked by those memories, a fifth memory stone was placed beside the others. It reads:

Not all was desert. Death walked its borders as two kept vigil over the land.

Our remembrances have now brought us to the present. For our final ceremony, we'll turn our eyes to the future. Join us this Monday, October 12th, at 21:00 Server Time for the closing ceremony of our first event.

PS: I'll start adding the complete logs for the earlier stones to their corresponding posts. The more recent ones, however, will remain in-game only.

[09/10/26 20:39] :samon fixes the logs at the stone
[09/10/26 20:39] samon:That should work for a little bit
[09/10/26 20:47] samon:Almost time for the next remembrance
[09/10/26 20:52] Vahr:Looking forward to it
[09/10/26 20:53] samon:I think it will be interesting
[09/10/26 21:08] Aelis:Hello, everyone. Sorry I'm late
[09/10/26 21:09] :[Spell] Join us for the Memory Outpost
[09/10/26 21:09] Aelis:Public meeting is set.
[09/10/26 21:09] :Vahr smiles
[09/10/26 21:09] samon:Let's see who will make it
[09/10/26 21:11] Aelis:Let's give it a few minutes for people to notice the jump link
[09/10/26 21:11] Aelis:How are you all today?
[09/10/26 21:12] Syrian:as good as can be expected (VERY sick (: )
[09/10/26 21:12] Vahr:I’m doing well. How are you?
[09/10/26 21:12] Vahr: (Oh no!)
[09/10/26 21:12] samon: (oh no, hope you feel better soon)
[09/10/26 21:13] Vahr:Another wonderful day in Necrovion.
[09/10/26 21:13] Aelis: (oh. that sucks. Wishing you a speedy recovery!)
[09/10/26 21:14] Vahr: ( *sends healing vibes* )
[09/10/26 21:15] Aelis:I'm a little tired, but looking forward to our event. I like the cadence of it.
[09/10/26 21:16] Syrian: (i went to the doctor about my throat, i think i picked up a cold virus as well while i was there, actualyl just end me rn)
[09/10/26 21:16] Vahr:Interesting. Me too.
[09/10/26 21:18] Aelis: ( :(( )
[09/10/26 21:19] Syrian: (99,999)
[09/10/26 21:19] Vahr: (Damn)
[09/10/26 21:19] Syrian: (that was the only record of it, now it's gone :D)
[09/10/26 21:19] samon: (That's gonna be a good shopping spree)
[09/10/26 21:19] Aelis:Perhaps after this extended period in Necrovion, we could try to make it a monthly thing or something like that.
[09/10/26 21:20] Aelis: (nice!)
[09/10/26 21:20] Vahr: (How does one see the second image?)
[09/10/26 21:20] : Syrian draws a card and gets: ♠ Ace of red spades
[09/10/26 21:21] Aelis: (you mean the eye counter thing?)
[09/10/26 21:21] Aelis: (I think it counts how many players clicked to see the image)
[09/10/26 21:21] Syrian: (the number is just how many have clicked it yeah)
[09/10/26 21:21] Vahr: (Ohhhhh)
[09/10/26 21:22] Vahr:I’ve been happy discussing Necrovion’s past. But I’m very interested in discussing Necrovion’s future. The time will come, however.
[09/10/26 21:23] Aelis:Hello, goodbye, Clock Master
[09/10/26 21:23] Vahr:But we must know what we’ve come from.
[09/10/26 21:23] Aelis:Yes, Vahr. *smiles*
[09/10/26 21:23] Aelis:We're almost there *winks*
[09/10/26 21:23] :Vahr smiles
[09/10/26 21:26] Aelis:Well, it seems we won't have a full house tonight. Shall we begin in 5?
[09/10/26 21:26] Vahr:Sounds good to me.
[09/10/26 21:27] Syrian:i think that will be good, and we can't expect everyone to make it to all of them, things are more dynamic than we want sometimes
[09/10/26 21:27] samon: *nods* Some might still be joining, but we can start while waiting
[09/10/26 21:28] Aelis:Yes, certaily. I think it's nice how it changes from day to day.
[09/10/26 21:28] Aelis:Oh, hi, Ledah!
[09/10/26 21:28] Aelis:What a nice surprise.
[09/10/26 21:29] :Seigheart waves ₪ﬖ
[09/10/26 21:29] :Syrian passed Cup of Aromatic Tea to Ledah
[09/10/26 21:29] Aelis:And Seig, hello!
[09/10/26 21:29] :Ledah coughs nervously
[09/10/26 21:29] Ledah:...I promise not to farm Necro for an hour or so
[09/10/26 21:29] Aelis:Thank you Sy for being our official Memory Tea™ supplier
[09/10/26 21:30] Syrian:12 year old tea, heated up again, it's safe to drink, probably
[09/10/26 21:30] Aelis:Thank you, old friend
[09/10/26 21:30] Aelis:I appreciate it, particularly in this scene
[09/10/26 21:30] :Seigheart wins against redneck
[09/10/26 21:31] :Seigheart wins against samon
[09/10/26 21:31] Aelis:Ok, let's begin then.
[09/10/26 21:31] Aelis:As usual, welcome all and thank you for joining us.
[09/10/26 21:32] Aelis:We've been revisting Necrovion's history through the lens of our memories.
[09/10/26 21:32] Aelis:We've remembered the Shades, the people who made their place here, the monarchs who ruled Necrovion, and the Exile of its people.
[09/10/26 21:32] :Seigheart fought Ledah
[09/10/26 21:33] Aelis:But the truth is, not everyone left...
[09/10/26 21:33] Aelis:Some remained behind, keeping their connection to the land alive despite everything that had happened.
[09/10/26 21:34] Aelis:Even though they were few, I'd like to focus today on those who stayed, and what it was like to remain in Necrovion after the exile.
[09/10/26 21:35] :Seigheart wins against redneck
[09/10/26 21:36] Aelis:Though the Death Patrol seems to be the obvious choice for today, there were others who maintained their ties to Necrovion in one way or another. We would welcome memories of them as well.
[09/10/26 21:36] :Seigheart wins against samon
[09/10/26 21:36] Aelis:Who would like to begin?
[09/10/26 21:37] Syrian:i can probably start, seeing as i am one of the ones who wasn't around, i probably have the least interesting memory out of the people who have them
[09/10/26 21:37] Aelis: *nods* Please.
[09/10/26 21:38] :Seigheart crushed Ledah
[09/10/26 21:38] Aelis:I'm sure it'll be interesting.
[09/10/26 21:38] Syrian:I do not have much to say, however, i would like to remember samon, not because I actually remember much from that time, but because I want to commend and honour the effort he put in for the death patrol.
[09/10/26 21:39] Syrian:He did his job faithfully until time took him as well. I thank him for that, and also say thank you for his return so that he can join us here at the outpost. it would be very different without him
[09/10/26 21:39] :[Spell] No More Whacky - Seigheart
[09/10/26 21:40] samon: *nods at Syrian* Thank you
[09/10/26 21:40] Seigheart: Sorry, didnt realize I was bothering people >.> Ϟ⺗
[09/10/26 21:41] Aelis:It seems time takes us all eventually. Except Ledah, I guess. *smiles*
[09/10/26 21:41] Aelis:Thank you, Syrian. That was lovely. And I second her words, samon. Thank you for your return.
[09/10/26 21:42] samon:I'm glad to be here
[09/10/26 21:43] Aelis:Since we're talking of the Death Patrol, I think I should go next.
[09/10/26 21:44] Aelis:I believe the Death Patrol is one of the most impressive groups I've ever witnessed in all my time in MagicDuel. The sheer commitment to the role by samon and lashtal is something that I feel is understated sometimes.
[09/10/26 21:44] Aelis:It is a very lonely role, and they kept working on it and patrolling the land for years and years, even during periods where the whole realm seemed to reflect the wasteland of Necrovion and it seemed that no one would ever walk its roads again.
[09/10/26 21:45] Aelis:I remember offering my first personal item to lashtal in order to enter Necrovion under his spell. Coincidence or not, I went in with dst and Pipstickz...
[09/10/26 21:45] Aelis:... I remember lash's company and miss him dearly. I hope he finds the time to visit us once again.
[09/10/26 21:46] Aelis:I was really happy when lashtal joined the Caretakers. samon has always been an important figure for us, but now that meant both Death Patrollers were a part of us. The skull badge and the warden-like nature of our alliance seem very fitting for the work they do.
[09/10/26 21:47] Aelis:In a way, with the Death Patrol and more recently with the Memory Outpost, the path of our alliance is now marked by the history of Necrovion. It seems right to be doing this right here and now.
[09/10/26 21:47] Aelis: *bows and smiles* Thank you.
[09/10/26 21:48] Vahr:ThanI you for sharing.
[09/10/26 21:48] Vahr:Thank*
[09/10/26 21:48] samon:Thank you Aelis
[09/10/26 21:48] Syrian:i miss lash, he was a very unique individual
[09/10/26 21:49] :samon nods
[09/10/26 21:49] Aelis:That he was.
[09/10/26 21:50] Aelis:Who would like to go next?
[09/10/26 21:52] Aelis:Ledah? Vahr?
[09/10/26 21:52] samon:I don't remember killing any of you
[09/10/26 21:52] Vahr:I’m interested to hear from samon what being in the Death Patrol was like.
[09/10/26 21:52] Vahr:If he wishes to share
[09/10/26 21:53] samon:I will share my story
[09/10/26 21:53] samon:Unless someone else has something to add
[09/10/26 21:54] samon:I know there was a lot of praise, but not everyone was as fond of the Death Patrol
[09/10/26 21:54] samon:And I hope people feel free to also share their other oppinions
[09/10/26 21:55] samon:But before then, I shall tell you a little bit about my experience
[09/10/26 21:55] samon:I would like to ask you all to take a small step back.
[09/10/26 21:55] :Vahr moves backwards
[09/10/26 21:56] :Aelis follows as requested
[09/10/26 21:56] :samon carefully unrolls part of one of their bandages.
[09/10/26 21:56] :samon slowly uncovers a glass jar containing a pitch black cloud, dark enough to cast a shadow over the entire camp.
[09/10/26 21:56] samon:This is the Necrovion death.
[09/10/26 21:57] Ledah:Hot
[09/10/26 21:58] samon:About a month after I died in Necrovion I had a very vivid dream
[09/10/26 21:58] samon:One that is almost impossible to put into words. It was a mix of shadows, feelings, emotions, anger, despair, pain... And a question.
[09/10/26 21:58] samon:When I woke up, I was given a blessing? ...a curse? ...an opportunity.
[09/10/26 21:59] samon:Carry on the pain and sorrow of all those lost in Necrovion and use it to protect the land.
[09/10/26 21:59] samon:And in turn I would get the opportunity to safe one soul and the strength to defend Necrovion.
[09/10/26 22:00] samon:A deal from the shades.
[09/10/26 22:00] samon:A deal I took.
[09/10/26 22:00] samon:And thus, we became a murderer.
[09/10/26 22:00] :samon lightly caresses the black jar before carefully putting it away between their bandages.
[09/10/26 22:00] samon:We, together with Lashtal, roamed the land, killing any and all who dared to enter.
[09/10/26 22:01] samon:Protecting its secrets.
[09/10/26 22:01] samon:Lashtal made his home at the entrance of Necrovion and eventually found a way to appease the Death, a chance to allow people to visit the land, if just for a moment.
[09/10/26 22:01] samon:We stood at the end, welcoming the dead, many of whom I killed myself, to their new home.
[09/10/26 22:02] samon:From here on out I would only rarely leave Necrovion, choosing to haunt the land as a ghost.
[09/10/26 22:02] samon:I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the hunt, even though I took little pleasure in killing.
[09/10/26 22:03] samon:Some were angry, some remained silent, but most people knew the risk they took when entering the land.
[09/10/26 22:04] samon:And thus I patrolled the land until my body started to decompose.
[09/10/26 22:05] samon:Then I fell asleep until Aelis brought me back a few days ago
[09/10/26 22:06] samon:And that brings us back here
[09/10/26 22:07] samon:Thank you for taking the time to listen to my ramblings
[09/10/26 22:07] Vahr:Thank you for sharing.
[09/10/26 22:08] Aelis:Such a burden to carry...
[09/10/26 22:09] Syrian:it was impressive that you were able to carry it for so long
[09/10/26 22:10] samon:It wasn't too bad, at least through large parts of it there were enough people to keep me company
[09/10/26 22:11] samon:Lashtal first and foremost, and he was awake for far longer
[09/10/26 22:14] Aelis:Even with death walking around, the land still attracted people.
[09/10/26 22:14] Aelis:That's intriguing. Necrovion always did have that power.
[09/10/26 22:16] samon: *nods* People always kept coming
[09/10/26 22:16] samon:And probably always will
[09/10/26 22:17] Vahr:First comes seduction, then comes connection, and finally transformation.
[09/10/26 22:18] samon:I think that is also one thing many people misunderstood
[09/10/26 22:19] samon:Our job wasn't to keep people out of Necrovion
[09/10/26 22:19] samon:Our job was to kill those who carelessly ventured inside
[09/10/26 22:20] samon:Especially those who meant harm to the land
[09/10/26 22:21] samon:But anyone is free to enter
[09/10/26 22:22] Aelis: *smiles* You did a great job.
[09/10/26 22:22] :Seigheart claps ∯ɤ
[09/10/26 22:23] samon:Thank you
[09/10/26 22:23] Aelis:Personally, I think your work helped Necrovion a lot, even if the land balance inevitably shifted.
[09/10/26 22:25] Aelis:How do you see the path forward for the patrol now?
[09/10/26 22:26] samon:Hm.....
[09/10/26 22:26] samon:I believe Necrovion does need humans to guard it
[09/10/26 22:27] samon:Unless, perhaps, it completely closes itself off
[09/10/26 22:27] samon:But that is not something I desire
[09/10/26 22:27] samon:So, until there is someone to take the protection of the land over
[09/10/26 22:28] samon:I will pick up my task once the last outpost ceremony ends
[09/10/26 22:29] Aelis:I see.
[09/10/26 22:30] Aelis:Let's see what happens next then.
[09/10/26 22:30] samon: *nods* I'm very curious about the future
[09/10/26 22:30] :Vahr nods
[09/10/26 22:30] Vahr:Me too.
[09/10/26 22:31] samon:Vahr, you've been here every evening, so I'm curious what your thoughts are on the present
[09/10/26 22:32] Vahr:I hope that Necrovians and Caretakers will no longer have their AP brought to zero as they move from scene to scene in Necrovion.
[09/10/26 22:32] Vahr:I think we can take the best of the past and use it moving forward.
[09/10/26 22:33] Vahr:There will be those that disrespect the land and we need a quick response to that should it occur.
[09/10/26 22:34] Vahr:I’m unsure if non-shade leadership is required but if it happens, They must take on the responsibility of protection.
[09/10/26 22:35] Vahr:Necrovians must be deeply connected to the land.
[09/10/26 22:35] Seigheart: I'm excited by Marvolo's return. It will legitamize anyone he stands behind, assuming its Syrian :P ♑∯
[09/10/26 22:36] Vahr:Whatever happens, I am Necrovian.
[09/10/26 22:36] Syrian:narrow pool there, seig
[09/10/26 22:36] Vahr:That’s all for now
[09/10/26 22:37] Seigheart: heheh :P ♑∯
[09/10/26 22:37] samon:Thank you Vahr, it's interesting to hear your views
[09/10/26 22:37] :Vahr smiles
[09/10/26 22:38] Vahr:I’m sure we’ll discuss this more in the future :)
[09/10/26 22:38] Aelis:Yes we will. I think it's a little obvious that our final event will focus on the future.
[09/10/26 22:40] Aelis:I think we can keep the same time next Monday?
[09/10/26 22:40] Vahr:Sure.
[09/10/26 22:41] Aelis:Very well. Let's not forget our memory stone for today.
[09/10/26 22:42] :[Spell] through darkness we stare,
Aelis: Very well. Let's not forget our memory stone for today.
: [Spell] through darkness we stare,
Aelis: *reaches for another Memory Stone. A faint line appears across its surface, followed by another. Slowly, the marks settle into letters* Not all was desert. Death walked its borders as two kept vigil over the land.
: Aelis looks at the inscription for a moment before placing the stone alongside the others
Aelis: Thank you all once again for coming. I hope you enjoyed it.
Aelis: We have reached the 'present'.
Vahr: Thank you for hosting :)
Aelis: Our next and final remembrance will focus on what's yet to come.
samon: Thank you all for coming today
Aelis: And that will be the end of this sequence of ceremonies, but not the end of our stay here.
Aelis: Our journey is not over yet. *winks*
Syrian: thank you again aelis

Our final remembrance brought an incredible turn of events for the Memory Outpost.

On Day 284, Year 21, we turned our memories towards the future we would like to see for Necrovion. Many interesting visions were proposed. One theme, however, ran through many of them: the return of human inhabitants to Necrovion. Though the details varied, many agreed that an alliance should have a place in Necrovion's future.

When Syrian shared her vision of starting a new chapter for humans in Necrovion (more here: https://forum.magicduel.com/topic/29222-the-arrival-of-the-late-queen/), people from all lands and backgrounds expressed their support for her reinstatement as Queen of Necrovion and presented her with gifts.

Touching words from Eara Meraia, who has only recently returned, brought the event to a beautiful close. She connected the themes of the remembrance to her own journey, one in which the consequences of the past still weigh heavily.

The Memory Outpost remains in Necrovion, waiting to see what new memories the future will bring.

[12/10/26 18:22] Aelis:Yes. Very fitting.

[12/10/26 21:07] Aelis:More are coming

[12/10/26 21:08] Nep:Good evening

[12/10/26 21:08] : Nep collects 4 Memory stone and 4 finesand as a byproduct

[12/10/26 21:09] Aelis:I like your current title, Nep.

[12/10/26 21:09] Aelis:Very fitting

[12/10/26 21:09] Nep:Ah right, I just picked it up earlier today...

[12/10/26 21:10] Aelis:That's my favorite dispatcher line so far. I need to work on increasing my stats though

[12/10/26 21:10] :Sephirah Caelum sliced Syrian

[12/10/26 21:10] Aelis:It'll take forever before I can grab the later ones

[12/10/26 21:10] Seigheart:Hello folks

[12/10/26 21:10] Aelis: nods to Seigheart and Marvolo Hello and welcome.

[12/10/26 21:10] : Seigheart collects 4 Memory stone and 4 finesand as a byproduct

[12/10/26 21:11] Marvolo: Hi ₪Ϡ

[12/10/26 21:11] :Sephirah Caelum fought Nep

[12/10/26 21:11] Sephirah Caelum:Hello

[12/10/26 21:12] :Sephirah Caelum thrashed Marvolo

[12/10/26 21:12] Aelis:Let's start in 3.

[12/10/26 21:12] Seigheart:Hey Mallos! I didnt see you there!

[12/10/26 21:12] :Seigheart crushed Aelis

[12/10/26 21:13] Mallos:Hi

[12/10/26 21:13] :Seigheart crippled Mallos

[12/10/26 21:13] Aelis:Yet another CT risen from a deep slumber. grins

[12/10/26 21:13] :Seigheart conquered samon

[12/10/26 21:14] Sephirah Caelum:Welcome again Mallos!

[12/10/26 21:14] :Seigheart destroyed Nep

[12/10/26 21:14] :Nep cut down Seigheart

[12/10/26 21:14] :Seigheart overpowered Marvolo

[12/10/26 21:14] samon:It's good to see so many Caretakers around

[12/10/26 21:15] :Sephirah Caelum dominated Mallos

[12/10/26 21:15] Aelis:Indeed.

[12/10/26 21:16] :Sephirah Caelum slashed Syrian

[12/10/26 21:16] Aelis:It is time

[12/10/26 21:17] :Sephirah Caelum conquered samon

[12/10/26 21:17] :Sephirah Caelum nods

[12/10/26 21:17] Aelis:Thank you all for coming to our final remembrance - for now.

[12/10/26 21:17] : Fang Archbane picks a card and gets Joker

[12/10/26 21:17] Aelis:Did you see we made headlines? The weekly realm summary wrote about us. smiles

[12/10/26 21:18] Aelis:I particularly like this bit: "At the Stone of Twisted Souls, the remembrance gatherings gave the week its steady heart."

[12/10/26 21:18] Aelis:It feels steady indeed, mainly because you keep attending and sharing with us. Thank you.

[12/10/26 21:18] Syrian:that's nice to hear, i hadnt seen that

[12/10/26 21:20] Aelis:That's the second time our outpost is featured. I'll collect the segments later

[12/10/26 21:20] Aelis:Now to the important part. winks

[12/10/26 21:21] Aelis:In a previous remembrance, I mentioned the idea that Shades remember into the future.

[12/10/26 21:21] :Fang Archbane slowly narrows his eyes

[12/10/26 21:21] Aelis:For our final ceremony, I'd like to revisit that idea and propose something a little different: let us "remember" a future we wish for Necrovion.

[12/10/26 21:22] Aelis:I will "break protocol" and place an empty stone beside the others beforehand.

[12/10/26 21:22] :Aelis walks to the other memory stones and places an empty stone next to them

[12/10/26 21:22] Aelis: turns to the crowd Let it bear the memories to come.

[12/10/26 21:23] Aelis:What do we hope this land will become? This is a chance to share our visions for Necrovion and perhaps, together, give shape to a future worth remembering.

[12/10/26 21:24] Aelis:Now, would anyone like to begin?

[12/10/26 21:25] :Fang Archbane looks around slowly as his ghost perches just above Mallos, on the cliff

[12/10/26 21:25] Fang Archbane:Don't tell me youve all grown shy

[12/10/26 21:26] Sephirah Caelum:I am not sure I would like to meet the Shade Sentinal today

[12/10/26 21:26] :Eara Meraia enters the scene and sits down quietly

[12/10/26 21:26] Vahr:I’m waiting on others to speak before I do. They experienced Necrovion’s past.

[12/10/26 21:26] :Seigheart maimed Eara Meraia

[12/10/26 21:27] samon:Nothing wrong with a fresh view

[12/10/26 21:27] :Sephirah Caelum turns to Fang's voice but cannot see him

[12/10/26 21:27] Aelis:Today is all about the future, though.

[12/10/26 21:27] :Fang Archbane muted Seigheart and won't see any chat messages from this player during current session.

[12/10/26 21:27] Vahr:And they can bring the best of the pat into the presentz

[12/10/26 21:27] Vahr:past*

[12/10/26 21:27] :Seigheart dismembered Mallos

[12/10/26 21:27] Aelis:I would welcome your contribution, Vahr. A fresh face (in MD terms hehe) might bring a fresh perspective.

[12/10/26 21:27] :Seigheart used the Lockinchaos stone to temporarily learn the Lockinchaos spell

[12/10/26 21:28] Fang Archbane:Remembering the future... It's Manifestation, by any other name. I think it would be apt to have you go first Vahr

[12/10/26 21:28] :Seigheart vanquished samon

[12/10/26 21:28] Vahr:I feel there should be a balance between guarding Necrovion from threats and disrespect and spreading Necrovion.

[12/10/26 21:28] :Fang Archbane flies over and perches on Earas Dark Steed, his silhouette becoming visible for a fractal moment

[12/10/26 21:29] :Blackshade Rider passed Yummy glob to Marvolo

[12/10/26 21:29] Vahr:The Caretakers will forever be welcome in Necrovion and their care will be very appreciated.

[12/10/26 21:29] :Blackshade Rider passed Sloop goop to Marvolo

[12/10/26 21:30] :Blackshade Rider passed Fungal mass to Marvolo

[12/10/26 21:30] :Marvolo passed Secret ingredient to Blackshade Rider

[12/10/26 21:30] Vahr:In terms of guarding Necrovion, we can revive the Necrovion Sentinels but have their numbers reduced.

[12/10/26 21:30] :Marvolo passed Coarse bone dust to Blackshade Rider

[12/10/26 21:30] :[Spell] Blinded by the sun Seigheart

[12/10/26 21:31] Vahr:When there are a lot more players in MD, NS numbers can grow. Or stay the same. I’m not an expert on guarding Necrovion.

[12/10/26 21:31] Vahr:Samon is.

[12/10/26 21:31] Vahr:If he wants, he can continue to lead that effort.

[12/10/26 21:31] :Eara Meraia tries to catch Fang

[12/10/26 21:32] :Seigheart passes a PM to Sephirah

[12/10/26 21:32] Blackshade Rider:The death guards in my opinion could be made into an alliance for necro. A form of police if you will

[12/10/26 21:32] Fang Archbane: feels the dark ether of her hand pass right through his ethereal form I would second the vote for Samon.

[12/10/26 21:32] samon:Thank you Vahr

[12/10/26 21:32] Vahr:I am unsure what to do with our entrances just yet.

[12/10/26 21:32] Vahr:You’re welcome.

[12/10/26 21:33] Vahr:I can keep going on :P

[12/10/26 21:33] Sunfire:Do you not first need to be accepted by the shades?

[12/10/26 21:34] Nep:I mean the death guard already are, no?

[12/10/26 21:34] Eara Meraia:guards should not form alliances, they should serve their master

[12/10/26 21:34] Fang Archbane:That's complicated.

[12/10/26 21:35] Vahr:The Shades will choose who they choose.

[12/10/26 21:35] :Aelis smiles at the discussion

[12/10/26 21:35] Vahr:We can only scheme until we know. To make a better futureZ

[12/10/26 21:35] Vahr:And who knows…

[12/10/26 21:35] :Eara Meraia wonders what happened to Fang

[12/10/26 21:35] Vahr:Perhaps their influence is already here

[12/10/26 21:36] Sunfire:I do agree you would need to found an alliance to truely return here. For it was the loss of the last one that made you outcasts

[12/10/26 21:36] Sephirah Caelum:Yeah...but that could mean, samon leaving the caretakers.

[12/10/26 21:37] Sunfire:And only the shades can grant this alliance

[12/10/26 21:37] :Nep pokes Fang's ghost with a stick

[12/10/26 21:37] Aelis:I think that is true for the Sentinels, Sunfire.

[12/10/26 21:37] :Fang Archbane turns to look at Ears. His form finally comes into full view on the physical plane

[12/10/26 21:37] Aelis:Personally I'm not so sure of that when it comes to the Tainted Warriors.

[12/10/26 21:37] Fang Archbane: (*Eara)

[12/10/26 21:37] Aelis:Their creation seem to have come from a different "source", for lack of a better word.

[12/10/26 21:38] Vahr:The Taint doesn’t just affect warriors.

[12/10/26 21:38] Vahr:But what do I know?

[12/10/26 21:38] Eara Meraia: catches Fang in a hug ha!

[12/10/26 21:38] Aelis:I really enjoyed your future memory, Vahr. Thank you.

[12/10/26 21:38] Fang Archbane:More than most, Lamp Keeper

[12/10/26 21:39] Sunfire:It was growth, the base is the same. I dont think you could just make TW again for instance without the NS being there first

[12/10/26 21:39] :Vahr smiles at Aelis

[12/10/26 21:39] Aelis:It was a great opener.

[12/10/26 21:39] :Fang Archbane goes perfectly still. He didn't know Eara could interact with ghosts

[12/10/26 21:39] Vahr:I can keep going on, but let’s allow others to speak.

[12/10/26 21:39] Vahr:Thank you

[12/10/26 21:39] Aelis: nods Who's next?

[12/10/26 21:39] samon:Shall I take it from here?

[12/10/26 21:40] Aelis:Yes, please.

[12/10/26 21:40] Fang Archbane: tries to hide the up pitch in his voice, and fails please... Please do Samon

[12/10/26 21:40] Eara Meraia:I mourn Tainted Warriors still, however I also see any form of order and allianation is not natural for nercovion

[12/10/26 21:40] Eara Meraia:necrovion

[12/10/26 21:41] :Sephirah Caelum giggles

[12/10/26 21:41] samon:I'm not so sure an alliance would be against the nature of Necrovion

[12/10/26 21:41] :Fang Archbane side eyes Eara before turning back to Samon, but he doesn't fight back

[12/10/26 21:41] Eara Meraia: pokes Fang of course I do, ghosts are my favorite pets :P

[12/10/26 21:42] samon:But there are others more suitable to address those concerns

[12/10/26 21:42] samon:As you all know I've wandered these lands on and off ever since the day Necrovion fell.

[12/10/26 21:42] samon:Ever since I have wondered what the future of the land would hold.

[12/10/26 21:42] Fang Archbane:... I remember it in vivid, stabby detail

[12/10/26 21:43] samon:But I believe now, for the first time, that memory of the future is starting to become clear.

[12/10/26 21:43] Syrian:the best kind of memory

[12/10/26 21:43] samon:The disappearance of the people from Necrovion has caused some disbalance in the realm.

[12/10/26 21:43] Fang Archbane:... Aye. The Mountain weeps late at night

[12/10/26 21:43] samon:And I believe their return will help rebalance the realm as a whole.

[12/10/26 21:44] samon:Although the land is not very welcoming to strangers

[12/10/26 21:44] samon:It has always held those who called it home close.

[12/10/26 21:44] samon:And I believe we will see those days again.

[12/10/26 21:45] samon:As for my future within the land, I believe my role in Necrovion is due for some change, although I can't exactly remember how it will look yet.

[12/10/26 21:45] samon:But my connection with the land will always remain

[12/10/26 21:45] :Sephirah Caelum folds the note into a tiny boat and sends it sailing over the sea of heads

[12/10/26 21:46] samon:For a sharper vision, I believe we should turn to those working on achieving it

[12/10/26 21:47] Nep: (there's a blackgammon board... I love that game haha)

[12/10/26 21:47] Fang Archbane: (I prefer Go)

[12/10/26 21:48] samon:Aelis, Syrian, the floor is yours

[12/10/26 21:48] :Eara Meraia decides to be silent, listen and observe

[12/10/26 21:48] Aelis:Very well then.

[12/10/26 21:49] Aelis:Personally, I think the wasteland has lasted long enough. We have managed to gather people from all generations of Necrovion's history, and I think it's clear that something must change...

[12/10/26 21:49] Aelis:...what remains to be seen is in what way.

[12/10/26 21:51] Aelis:I echo some of the visions we've discussed here. I would like to remember a future in which human structures return to Necrovion.

[12/10/26 21:51] Aelis:In particular, because of the imbalance it created. I strongly feel that the wasteland was detrimental to the realm over the long term.

[12/10/26 21:52] Aelis:I think new Shades need to be cast from within the land.

[12/10/26 21:53] Fang Archbane: feels a shift in the wind, and slowly looks up. The Winds of Change are starting to move once more ... Well I'll be damned...

[12/10/26 21:53] Aelis:Thus, I would like to see the Tainted Warriors - and eventually, the Necrovion Sentinels - return to their land alongside the Death Guards.

[12/10/26 21:54] Seigheart:If you dont mind me asking, how long have they been disbanded?

[12/10/26 21:54] Aelis:May they bring new memories to this land and the realm.

[12/10/26 21:54] Aelis:It's been 10 years, Seigheart. Way too long, in my opinion.

[12/10/26 21:54] Sunfire:why restore the old ones? create something new

[12/10/26 21:54] Aelis:Hm..

[12/10/26 21:55] Fang Archbane: looks over at Eara, still holding his small 4 foot ghost may I hop down, Miss Meraia?.. I have an offering for Aelis

[12/10/26 21:55] Aelis:That is a possibility, Sunfire.

[12/10/26 21:55] Vahr:Aelis: what does Necrovion require in your opinion?

[12/10/26 21:55] :Eara Meraia nods and releases him

[12/10/26 21:56] Aelis:I do think it would make it easier to bring forth a familiar structure within the land.

[12/10/26 21:56] Aelis:Also, reinstating an alliance 10 years later feels like something new to me.

[12/10/26 21:56] Sunfire:i think it shows we did not learn anything and want to repeat a past "mistake"

[12/10/26 21:56] Aelis:It's a new day, and it'll have new members.

[12/10/26 21:57] :Fang Archbane hops down and half glides to Aelis' side. He looks up and summons 6 small tokens. Tokens of Realization, soulbound to the one that found them. Untradeable, but not unfit to be offered to the land

[12/10/26 21:57] Sunfire:it is nostalgia that blinds us

[12/10/26 21:57] samon:I think it honors the past

[12/10/26 21:57] Aelis:Was it a mistake, though? Or an unfortunate sequence of actions?

[12/10/26 21:57] samon:Even if it won't be the exact alliance it once was

[12/10/26 21:57] Syrian:blind nostalgia is bad, but it is a useful tool to not repeat those mistakes

[12/10/26 21:57] Fang Archbane:... I have an idea, Aelis. I'm not sure how it will play out. But I would like to offer these 6 soulbound tokens to the land. In the hopes that it might pacify whatever lingering hurdles the Shades might still perceive.

[12/10/26 21:58] Nep: (nostalgia that blinds us) Isn't that true for most of the realm though?

[12/10/26 21:58] Vahr:The old something and the new something are different.

[12/10/26 21:58] Seigheart:Shades must be so confused by the concept of Nostalgia if they dont perceive time linearly.

[12/10/26 21:58] Sunfire:does it matter to the shades how or why the mortals failed the first time?

[12/10/26 21:59] Vahr:I wonder if the Shades are curious about our perception of time. ;)

[12/10/26 21:59] Aelis:I don't really know. Though I welcome the discussion, Sun. This is part of the "stirring", so to say.

[12/10/26 21:59] Fang Archbane:... I am a simple fool. I see things in static. I don't understand human emotion. And I don't care to. What I do understand... Is that my friends miss their Home. And I would be happy to offer a piece of my Soul to hopefully... Make that path easier for them to walk. I offer these tokens of realization to the land, and to the shades. In the hopes... That they hear the words of my allies

[12/10/26 22:00] Vahr:The Sentinel has present-perspective as he was able to speak to Khalazdad.

[12/10/26 22:00] :Marvolo raises his hand to signify willingness to speak

[12/10/26 22:00] Aelis:Thank you, Fang. That was a lovely gesture.

[12/10/26 22:00] :Eara Meraia softens as she hears Fangs words

[12/10/26 22:01] Aelis:And lovely words, too.

[12/10/26 22:01] Aelis:Now, Marvolo, please.

[12/10/26 22:01] :Fang Archbane leaves the tokens by the memory stone, and glides back into Earas hands

[12/10/26 22:01] Marvolo:We gather here as individuals, each with our own ambitions and ideas for Necrovion's future. Yet perhaps we should look to the Shades for inspiration. In the first recorded meeting with the Shade Sentinel, they described their structure as “1000 drops of dark water”, each part contributing to a greater whole.

[12/10/26 22:02] Marvolo:Perhaps a formal alliance is what we need: one that preserves our individuality while allowing us to share knowledge, coordinate our efforts and support one another towards common goals.

[12/10/26 22:02] Seigheart:Like the spell page Black Water?

[12/10/26 22:02] Marvolo:These gatherings are already a step in the right direction. An alliance doesn't require us to agree on everything, only to cooperate and work towards a shared future. Like those drops of dark water, we are stronger together.

[12/10/26 22:03] :Eara Meraia cuddles Fang

[12/10/26 22:04] :Marvolo returns to the side to allow other speakers to talk

[12/10/26 22:04] Seigheart:Well said

[12/10/26 22:04] Aelis:You do have a way with words, Marvolo.

[12/10/26 22:04] :Fang Archbane leans into it in silence

[12/10/26 22:04] Vahr:Marvolo, beautiful.

[12/10/26 22:04] Aelis:Summed it up perfectly, I'd say.

[12/10/26 22:05] Fang Archbane:... The Mountain weeps without her Brother. Marvolo... You honor both.

[12/10/26 22:06] Aelis:Maybe we can hear from Syrian, now? I think we've all been discussing matters that are very personal to her.

[12/10/26 22:07] :Sephirah Caelum balances the note on her staff and raises it above the crow

[12/10/26 22:07] Fang Archbane: turns to look at Syrian with one eye ... Go on then... Queen of the Darkest Spring

[12/10/26 22:08] Syrian:My hope for necrovion's future is one where humans are once again allowed to wander the land proper. To once again have their own social structure, not to relive the past, but to create a new future from what we remember of it.

[12/10/26 22:08] Syrian:It should be a future of coexistence, not one of dominance, I do not seek to dominate the shades, as no one should. However, I believe that everyone, in some capacity should acknowledge them, and as Necrovions, seek to understand our own.

[12/10/26 22:09] Syrian:To little surprise to many, for my own personal future of Necrovion, is to be the Queen of the human society of Necrovion once again in whatever form that may take. It it also my hope to one day shift it into a place that is a little less hostile to humans that choose to make it their home.

[12/10/26 22:09] Syrian:My personal view on being a queen, similar to my view on the land, is also not one of dominance, but one of direction, and also service to the people who would choose to see me as that queen.

[12/10/26 22:10] Vahr:Do you see non-humans in your vision?

[12/10/26 22:10] Aelis: nods That is a future I'd like to see come true.

[12/10/26 22:11] Syrian:shades will always exist within necrovion, the goal is to never replace them, that should never be a goal of anyone, necrovion or not

[12/10/26 22:11] :[Spell] Healaga

[12/10/26 22:11] :[Spell] Healaga

[12/10/26 22:12] Seigheart: sets down his hammer and listens a moment before speaking A future built from memory rather than repeated from it... that's a maker's way of thinking, Syrian. Every good piece starts from the old pattern and ends as something new.

[12/10/26 22:12] Syrian:i have always sought to understand my shade, so in that vision, having shades is, pre requisite

[12/10/26 22:13] Fang Archbane:Everyone has a Shade. Most have more than one. That prerequisite shouldn't be a hurdle.

[12/10/26 22:14] Syrian:shades are more of a mirror, many look only a little but do not like what they see, but if you stare long enough you can learn a lot from it

[12/10/26 22:15] Syrian:it's not the whole picture, but it's a good way to think about it

[12/10/26 22:15] :Eara Meraia nods

[12/10/26 22:16] samon:I have talked to Syrian quite extensively over the past couple days, and I have fate in her ability to guide the land forward.

[12/10/26 22:16] :Vahr nods

[12/10/26 22:16] Seigheart:Was there any doubt in the first place?

[12/10/26 22:17] Vahr:So, you will lead the non-shades or just the humans?

[12/10/26 22:17] Fang Archbane:I second that, Samon

[12/10/26 22:17] Seigheart:I feel like Syrian reclaiming her crown is long over due.

[12/10/26 22:17] Seigheart:Even the Shades must be growing impatient :P

[12/10/26 22:18] Syrian:the humans, vahr, trying to lead the shades would be....complicated and likely disastrous

[12/10/26 22:18] :Sephirah Caelum smiles

[12/10/26 22:18] Vahr:Not the Shades :P

[12/10/26 22:18] :Fang Archbane smiles

[12/10/26 22:18] Vahr:Me :)

[12/10/26 22:18] Sunfire:the mortals

[12/10/26 22:19] :[Spell] Activate the Bacta Tank

[12/10/26 22:19] Syrian:ah, if it's a question specific to you then i'm afraid i don't know enough about your personal history, but 'm always down to hear about it if that's a direction you want to go for

[12/10/26 22:20] :Fang Archbane smiles a bit wider

[12/10/26 22:20] Vahr:You seem like a great, caring, intelligent, understanding, calm, graceful ruler

[12/10/26 22:20] Sephirah Caelum:Is there any plan, to speak with the Shade Sentinel?

[12/10/26 22:20] Marvolo:Syrian, are there any you know of, with Necrovian roots, who might oppose you?

[12/10/26 22:21] Vahr:Or I think you will be

[12/10/26 22:21] Fang Archbane:I could message them

[12/10/26 22:21] Aelis:I'm happy we're already picturing that future as a real possibility.

[12/10/26 22:21] Sunfire:will it into existance

[12/10/26 22:21] Sephirah Caelum:Should we arrange a sacrifice?

[12/10/26 22:21] Syrian:i would not be against it, sephi, but that should be down to the SS itself rather than something that is forced

[12/10/26 22:21] Fang Archbane: checks his friends list huh... Or not. I could have sworn I had them friended. Ark is still there... Some other shades too... Hrm....

[12/10/26 22:22] Vahr:I really look forward to this future!

[12/10/26 22:22] Fang Archbane:Ooh, Sephirah, can I be the sacrifice?

[12/10/26 22:22] :Seigheart looks for Shade Sentinel: was not online in the past hours. Last time it was seen active around Day 14 of the year 7

[12/10/26 22:22] Sephirah Caelum:You can send a letter to one of the shades.

[12/10/26 22:22] Vahr:I anticipated that he might show up.

[12/10/26 22:22] Sephirah Caelum:they are a sea of many drops

[12/10/26 22:22] Fang Archbane:| Ark Mattarox might be the best option then. I can definitely send them a message

[12/10/26 22:23] Vahr:This is a monumental moment for Necrovion.

[12/10/26 22:23] Syrian:there might be a few, marv, perhaps people older than me, but i would hope that i have managed to not make that many enemies

[12/10/26 22:23] Sunfire:i think the message should be visible, not a piece of paper Fang

[12/10/26 22:23] Vahr:Should we put it on the mood panel?

[12/10/26 22:24] Fang Archbane:A fair point, Sunfire.

[12/10/26 22:24] Sephirah Caelum:I think would be better to the remaining necrovions find an agreement before meeting the Shade Sentinel.

[12/10/26 22:24] Syrian:everything we do here wil land is made public, that in itself is a letter of intent, and support, from everyone present. i think that speaks louder that a single note.

[12/10/26 22:24] Syrian:than*

[12/10/26 22:24] Seigheart:Should we all post the exact same message on the MP? :D

[12/10/26 22:25] Sunfire:i did not expect the Shade Sentinel, after all this is only the beginning

[12/10/26 22:25] :Fang Archbane stands up straight, mid hug

[12/10/26 22:25] Nep:Pretty sure the shades already know what happened here.

[12/10/26 22:25] Aelis:Yes, this is the end of the beginning, so to say.

[12/10/26 22:25] Fang Archbane:Then allow me to be clear as moonlight. The Mountain stands by the Deep Dark

[12/10/26 22:27] :Eara Meraia chuckles

[12/10/26 22:27] Marvolo:I believe it is important that we make our intentions clear to the Shades, and do so in a proper manner. If we seek to choose a Queen to guide Necrovion, they should understand that this comes from the collective will of our alliance, not merely the ambition of an individual. We should ensure our intent is formally expressed and presented to them with due respect.

[12/10/26 22:27] Marvolo:And without haste

[12/10/26 22:27] :Aelis passed Grass crown to Syrian

[12/10/26 22:28] Aelis:Let this be my show of support for Syrian as the Queen of Necrovion.

[12/10/26 22:28] :Fang Archbane passed Grass Bracelet to Syrian

[12/10/26 22:29] samon:I agree a ruler is only a ruler if followed by their people

[12/10/26 22:29] Fang Archbane:To match your new Crown

[12/10/26 22:29] Aelis:How do you propose we go about that, Marvolo?

[12/10/26 22:30] samon:But Syrian does have wide support among the Neccrovian people

[12/10/26 22:30] Syrian:thank you, both

[12/10/26 22:30] :Mallos passed Reversed hourglass to Syrian

[12/10/26 22:31] Marvolo:A good question Aelis, and one we should all think about. For I do not yet have the answer

[12/10/26 22:31] :Fang Archbane passed Grass Bracelet to Sephirah Caelum

[12/10/26 22:31] :Fang Archbane passed Grass Bracelet to Eara Meraia

[12/10/26 22:31] Fang Archbane:So the Matriarchs can march in Stride

[12/10/26 22:32] Sunfire:i would advise to keep good records of your actions, if not to only show those behind us what you stood for

[12/10/26 22:32] :Vahr opens his hands, a silver orb manifesting. He swirls the orb like a liquid and pulls out a crown from the substance. With his right index finger, he writes Syrian’s name. Then, he snaps his fingers, the orb and crown disappearing

[12/10/26 22:32] Aelis:The stones we have set here were inscribed with the memories we shared throughout these weeks.

[12/10/26 22:32] Vahr:Through your gentleness and wisdom, may you lead us onward. May we always feel at home.

[12/10/26 22:32] Sunfire:and perhaps the gods may tell your tale too

[12/10/26 22:33] Nep:Mmm, I would like a future where the shades lock Ledah in one of their smelly caves so that they can all keep seething together until eternity... Is that a valid vision for the future?

[12/10/26 22:33] Aelis:Perhaps they could speak of our wishes in a way we cannot.

[12/10/26 22:33] :samon passed Queen of black diamonds to Syrian

[12/10/26 22:33] :Fang Archbane snickers

[12/10/26 22:33] Fang Archbane:I'd say so, Nep

[12/10/26 22:33] Aelis:It is, Nep. In a very particular way you too want Shades and people interacting. smiles

[12/10/26 22:34] Nep:"people", uhh yes of course.

[12/10/26 22:35] :Fang Archbane passed Shade card to Syrian

[12/10/26 22:35] :Fang Archbane bows his head

[12/10/26 22:35] Fang Archbane:For a better Memory. For a better Dream.

[12/10/26 22:36] Sephirah Caelum:Well said Fang!

[12/10/26 22:36] Syrian:a queen, a shade, and a crown, an interestincg collection

[12/10/26 22:36] Aelis:This has been the best remembrance. I'm glad we're ending on a high note.

[12/10/26 22:37] Vahr:So, who will speak tot he powers that be about bringing back Necrocvian citizenship?

[12/10/26 22:37] Aelis:Would anyone else like to contribute?

[12/10/26 22:37] Syrian:i for one appreciate the positive responsive, i had hoped, but was hesitant to dream

[12/10/26 22:37] Marvolo:Perhaps we could forge a crown from contributions by each member of the alliance, inspired by the Shades' “1000 drops of dark water”. A symbol of our many parts united as one.

[12/10/26 22:38] Seigheart:I feel like you would need someone with mastery of Black Water to help with that task

[12/10/26 22:38] :Fang Archbane unmuted Seigheart and can see all chat messages from this player.

[12/10/26 22:38] Aelis:That is an interesting idea, Marvolo.

[12/10/26 22:38] Vahr:Also, who will get rid of the AP turning to zero for Necrovians and Caretakes when we move from scene to scene inNecrovion?

[12/10/26 22:38] Blackshade Rider:Ill contribute

[12/10/26 22:39] Sunfire:i must think on a few days ago how jester was named king of nothing, here we have a queen of nothing yet it is so very different

[12/10/26 22:39] Syrian:hah, i guess technically that title does apply to me in some ways

[12/10/26 22:39] Aelis:Such is the potential of nothingess grins

[12/10/26 22:39] Aelis: (nothingness*)

[12/10/26 22:39] samon:When there is nothing, everything is possible

[12/10/26 22:40] :Blackshade Rider passed Mourner's Candied Tiara to Syrian

[12/10/26 22:40] Syrian:darkness can do funny things like that

[12/10/26 22:40] Fang Archbane: smiles Nothing never meant Empty. A forest does not grow if the weeds are choking the land. Ashes give life. Dreams keep life burning

[12/10/26 22:40] Syrian:thank you bsr

[12/10/26 22:41] Sephirah Caelum:I think Fang already contacted a shade.

[12/10/26 22:41] Syrian:i can't promise i might not eat it, though, but i will try not to

[12/10/26 22:41] Eara Meraia: coughs may I say something too?

[12/10/26 22:41] Sephirah Caelum:I think is up to the Necrovians to decide what to do

[12/10/26 22:41] Blackshade Rider:It has a use sy. I dont remember what. But as voice of the dead i present it to you

[12/10/26 22:42] Fang Archbane:No, Sunfire said we should make it a public contact. I have refrained out of respect to the Old Guard. He and Samon were the protectors of this land once it closed. I will default to them, and our queen for advice on that matter

[12/10/26 22:42] Sunfire:may I ask, who will follow Queen Syrian into the darkness as Necrovian?

[12/10/26 22:42] :Fang Archbane slowly narrows his eyes

[12/10/26 22:42] Fang Archbane:... If Alyon gives me his blessing, I will follow Syrian

[12/10/26 22:43] :Seigheart overcame Aelis

[12/10/26 22:43] Seigheart:lol

[12/10/26 22:43] :Fang Archbane turns up to look at Eara

[12/10/26 22:43] Fang Archbane:The floor is yours

[12/10/26 22:43] Aelis: turns to Eara Please, Eara.

[12/10/26 22:43] :Seigheart routed Mallos

[12/10/26 22:43] Vahr:I shall.

[12/10/26 22:43] Eara Meraia:As you all know, I have been dead for many years. The pain that disbanding of Tainted warriors caused, was unbearable. It still is…I feel protective – of this land that gave me so much, of the past memories and of everything that it holds.

[12/10/26 22:44] :Vahr turns it Eara

[12/10/26 22:44] Eara Meraia:My first reaction, when I see people trying to establish something here is therefore – stay away! People tend to hurt things they dont understand. However, I awoke at this very moment. I do not think it was a coincidence. I think it was meant to be, so that I can witness this day and start healing my wounds.

[12/10/26 22:44] :[Spell] blinded by the sun Seigheart

[12/10/26 22:44] Eara Meraia:I trust with all my heart that Syrian can restore what is lost. And for what it is worth – you have my blessing, Sy.

[12/10/26 22:45] Syrian:thank you, eara, that means a lot and i hope that i can live up to that expectation, even if it is only a little bit

[12/10/26 22:45] :Fang Archbane feels his eyes soften. The mask nearly slips

[12/10/26 22:45] :Fang Archbane grows silent and leans into her collar

[12/10/26 22:46] :Syrian passed Black rose to Eara Meraia

[12/10/26 22:47] :Eara Meraia sits down again and remains silent

[12/10/26 22:48] Vahr:So, a new age comes…

[12/10/26 22:49] Aelis:Thank you for your words, Eara. I also feel it is not a coincidence that you are here today.

[12/10/26 22:49] Vahr:With an old ruler taking the reigns.

[12/10/26 22:49] Aelis:MD seems to have the uncanny power to do that.

[12/10/26 22:49] Fang Archbane:... I will protect these lands with my own body if that's what it takes. The Mountain has cried for far too long about the loss of its other half. May Luna have mercy on those who would defile this sacred land... For I never will.

[12/10/26 22:49] Seigheart:Hail Syrian, Queen of Necrovion, Keeper of the Quiet Gate. May the grave-mist rise to crown you, and may the dead march loyal at your heel. May your shadow stretch over every realm, your enemies fall to dust before your gaze, and your reign last longer than the stars. Long live the Queen of Necrovion.

[12/10/26 22:49] Nep:You may not remember it Syrian, but you welcomed me on GWI along with Azull (still had my gear back then...) so you have my support, for whatever it's worth.

[12/10/26 22:50] :Vahr bows before Syrian

[12/10/26 22:50] Vahr:Your Majesty.

[12/10/26 22:50] :Fang Archbane bows before Syrian

[12/10/26 22:50] Aelis: bows to Syrian Long live the Queen of Necrovion.

[12/10/26 22:50] Fang Archbane:... Queen of the Darkest Spring

[12/10/26 22:50] samon:Long live the Queen of Necrovion

[12/10/26 22:51] Fang Archbane:May your path know only joy. And may your enemies know only despair.

[12/10/26 22:51] :[Spell] storm manifest

[12/10/26 22:51] Vahr:Long live the Queen.

[12/10/26 22:51] : Seigheart collects 18 Rainwater

[12/10/26 22:51] : Marvolo collects 1 Rainwater

[12/10/26 22:51] : Fang Archbane collects 38 Rainwater

[12/10/26 22:52] Eara Meraia:long live the Queen, may Shades give you the wisdom

[12/10/26 22:52] :Sephirah Caelum bows to Syrian

[12/10/26 22:52] Marvolo:Long live the Queen

[12/10/26 22:52] Syrian: turns to face everyone one by one thank you, again, to all of you for showing such support. i feel like in some ways it should be me that is bowing to all of you

[12/10/26 22:52] : Sephirah Caelum collects 1 Rainwater

[12/10/26 22:53] :Mallos kneels

[12/10/26 22:54] :Seigheart gutted Aelis

[12/10/26 22:54] :Seigheart maimed Mallos

[12/10/26 22:54] Fang Archbane:It isn't just anyone that can bridge the generational gap and make something out of ash. The fact you feel the way you feel... Only solidifies my knowledge that you are more than Worthy for this Adventure.

[12/10/26 22:54] :[Spell] Hellflare Seigheart

[12/10/26 22:55] Sunfire:All that is gold does not glitter,Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither,Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken,A light from the shadows shall spring;Renewed shall be alliance that was broken,The crownless again shall be... Queen.

[12/10/26 22:55] Fang Archbane:Disrespect her once more, and I'll Curse you into the ground

[12/10/26 22:55] Fang Archbane:My patience, Seigheart... It runs thin

[12/10/26 22:56] Seigheart:Wtf you talking about?

[12/10/26 22:56] :[Spell] Flames of Gehenna Seigheart

[12/10/26 22:56] :Seigheart failed to cast a spell

[12/10/26 22:56] :Fang Archbane failed to cast a spell

[12/10/26 22:57] Sunfire:Fang, let's not ruin the moment

[12/10/26 22:57] Fang Archbane:Yeah. I fucking thought so. Run, Vermin

[12/10/26 22:57] :Fang Archbane goes back into Earas hands and grows quiet

[12/10/26 22:57] Syrian:i have no issues with people doing combat here, it's a nice gathering

[12/10/26 22:57] Aelis:Let's focus on the good things, please.

[12/10/26 22:58] Syrian:a little blood is always nice for such an occasion

[12/10/26 22:58] :Eara Meraia covers Fang with her cloak protectively

[12/10/26 22:58] Aelis:I think there is nothing left to say, though. The memories will be kept.

[12/10/26 22:58] Aelis:I would like to thank you once again for attending.

[12/10/26 22:59] Vahr:Before we end, we should discuss Necrovian citizenship.

[12/10/26 22:59] Marvolo:Thank you for hosting these moments, Aelis.

[12/10/26 22:59] Aelis:I must confess I did not expect so many to come and contribute. It makes me really happy. May this mark a new moment for the future.

[12/10/26 23:00] :Aelis bows

[12/10/26 23:00] :[Spell] Let us remember the words
