For reasons unknown, J.D. currently deals less damage than DA3. You guessed right, J.D. is a CA, and supposed to deal 'generally more' damage than DA3.

i suppose you've already checked, but it's worth asking - is it the same tree? if not did the second one have any tokens?

more then likely its the same tree i only have one tree with a token the other 2 dont have any and all it is is claw1 i think that is...odd

yeah, no, i didn't check for the usual stuff before starting the topic...

here's my 'check for bugs' protocol:
things make sense? no
different fights? no
tokens involved? no (actually, just none that matter, but... well, no)
luck? no
ability used on target? no
a sudden disturbance in the force? no
reproduction impossible? no
any question answered with yes? no => bug => report

if the answer to the last question was yes, there wouldn't be a report
i'd ask the same question first, though^^

Bloodpact archer attack statistic drops. There SHOULD be that drop in damage based on that alone. The weird thing may be that it only dropped half of it.

Perhaps my memory has rusted, but doesn't a CA have less attack than a DA3?
(I might be mistaking it for some other creature)

No, Chaos Archers have 40 more attack than DA3's.

DA3 has less than DA2, but CA has more than DA3.

I don't say that I know for sure , but I have the impression that the page with stats of the creatures is not completely generated. I mean that what the chaos archer uses might not be what the chaos archer shows.

But this is for Rendril / Mur to check.

is this still the case?
