Happy Birthday Phantom Orchid!

Happy birthday <3 (Down-ranked the first post for irony. Sorry DD.) -
You, singular, situation-specific despite scope ambiguity, possibly? Ambiguity is a terrible, terrible thing, but...meh who cares?

Happy Birthday, HOLYPALDIN DEBA!
Ackshan Bemunah replied to nadrolski's topic in Say hello, Goodbye, or something else
Happy birthdaze deba! -
First, a story. Some time ago, I was chilling in Wind's Sanctuary, listening to the wonderful music, when I thought "Wow, this music is wonderful! Who made it?" Having found someone else who generously looked into it, and discovered it from the score to The Village, I started listening nonstop (of course) to said soundtrack because it's amazing. Today I needed to do my creative writing homework (technically still need to do it, but first I'll calm down) and decided it would be a good idea to write a story to the score, not for homework of course. As usual since I don't really know any other ways to write stories, I decided to start with a poem written in answer to the first track of this score my exposure to which I credit to MD. The result, "Sailing," included below(1). Since Numerius/Minty is the poet, I decided to post it also to his online page. I added it to his character page and was getting ready to post a link in mood panel when I noticed the link didn't work. (Didn't know why then, know now.) Instead of displaying my page contents, it displayed text (2) which seemed vaguely like my writing but very different. I read it and it felt like a response to the poem I had just written. Like someone had planted the text there as a message. (Turns out I must have written it; it was in my personal page which was why other material on it didn't show up. Text since transferred to hate list. Thanks Shem for explaining this to me) Both texts seem based on the same images and ideas, though the reaction is...somewhat different between the two. -- (1)
Sailing Rain forgotten with dawn as shadows welcome the bright flood. Fallen on their graves eyes and breath of dead in daytime must freeze against faces of men: lonely now lost, needy now blind, causeless their hope. Fall soon please again, night of great beauty. At first, I believed the light to be the light of hope. But as I approached, the illusion faded. The light was pure beauty. Beauty without hope. Inside it was grace, and power, and knowledge, and a new tool-a new and elegant way to represent the world. Thus, I was introduced to numbers for the first time. But also, I kept the beauty-the beauty without hope. I stowed it in my mind forever, focusing on the beauty of what's here and now, and not hoping. EDIT: Tried posting this in offtopic and it said I didn't have permission. Now it says I do, but I've already posted this here. Only move this if you feel like it, though. #2: Poem revised for clarity, even though that's not how poems work, but I'm allowed to do that because I wrote it.

I request four casts of a spell called "expand universe". Would produce temporary entropic effects in MD, such as (to give a few ideas) old bugs reappearing, scripted items or locations scrambling, and some characters being omitted in PM's. Either realm-wide or location-specific "expand location" or even a player-specific "expand presence"...Will update this as the need becomes more clear.

I want your book too. Didn't realise you were asking for a relation between the passages. From that perspective, they don't seem to be in contradiction. The second explains the reason for the entropy in our system and the first demonstrates the actual mechanism of the "feelings" flowing. -

From my reading, when you say perfect balance you're saying something along the lines of every moment being a sort of equip-potential surface from the perspective of this trickling "feeling". I'm assuming when you refer to the point of the present you mean a point of the present for each observer. In that case at any time other than the exact moment, there would be unbalance as only a small and expanding (shape-of-lesser-dimension) of what was part of the moment would remain in-balance with the new moment. So from the shell you previously had, you would retain a circle/oval/who-cares-it's-a-metaphor that expands. If a particular observer's shell at a given moment changes things along its surface, then as the observer moves imbalances will ripple from past moments, changing the shape of the shell so that the shell remains balanced. (Maybe? I'm trying to consider this all like I think of electric fields.) EDIT: See fang's post above for a perfect example. -- I really don't understand how the bolded sections of the other paragraph could possibly be seen as contrasting each other. I don't know why you're confused on that one. This probably means I'm confused. -

ל ,מ/ם ,י ,א This is a very difficult question. One of the above... ... Yeah, I'm going with mem, that's this one: מ/ם On account of its squarish nature WHEN AND ONLY WHEN IT COMPLETES A WORD, it being the central letter, both in the alephbet and in the word for truth, it making the nice hummy "mmm" sound, it being the first sound in מי which means "who" but is pronounced "me" (think about that for a minute) and its predominance in "mommy" (pronounced with a stop between the 'm''s) whom (mmm) I love very much.
It really depends on how you want to see it, really. I work in a market research agency, so we deal with that everyday. The most common method we use for 5 point-scale questions is to look that the "top/bottom box" only, that is, the "strongly" answers. Be a better rodef shalom. Also, Pirkei Avot 1:4. This is pretty ambitious, but I achieved Pirkei Avot 1:6 in 2012, so it might be doable.

It's easy enough to group the stronglies with the less-stronglies and do a separate analysis that way.
