You know Imitation is the Most Sincere for of Flattery. Regardless of what you say. Oh and I've tried to Not Capitalize.... Didn't Work That's it Guys! Tag Team, don't Get caught up with Idle Conversation. Uhh, why would we do this if we Weren't going to Talk to Each other? ... I mean that would be like Actually talking to Other ... *Shudder* ... People. Yes we all know you have Social Issues Red, now why Don't you Tell us about this Adventure you keep Promising? Oh that... Ummm, I kinda thought.... or ...Maybe Did I hear someone Say they Need something to Do? {Walks in Carrying a cup of Tea} Ahh, Perfect Timing as Always Humpry! Wait I thought we called Green our "Know it all Side"? No, thats what you called Green. I've decided to jump on Board the Criticism and Disclaim myself from your Naming Style. From now on I will name all your Personalities. As Long as I don't have to Do anything. {Finishes the Cup of Tea} Our names Make little Difference to me, so let me Press on. I thought you Two Needed something to do. If that is the Case, Please do me the Favor of Discovering who is Stealing from my Garden. Wait, don't you know Everything or "Know it All"? So you should already know who did it... Perhaps I do know, and Simply feel you Investigating for yourself would Yield this Adventure you Seek. The Goal of Stopping Garden Theft is my Commission . So why Didn't you just Say "Stop the Garden Theft, instead of this "Discovering" Business? {To Black} Is he Always like this? Actually I think he Looks up to you... I Suggest Sneaking off When he starts Arguing With Black No Need to Sneak off Humphry. I will accept your Quest. Know that from this Day forward Earl, Black, and I will not Rest till your Garden is Safe. We will Accomplish this Seemingly Uncreative Quest with Diligence and Honor. The Soil {Notices Humphry has already Left}... Good. Lets go Get Drunk and do that Tomorrow.
  5. Since you can Bye Creature slots in MD Shope this isn't Exactly a Bug, well it is but I'd call it a loop Hole. With the Shop Slots you can have 36 Creatures (maybe more if the Slots reset when you reset the Shop). You would also see this Happen if you buy a Premium Creature when you have all your Slots filled.
  6. Morrel I think that Image matches my own Image of Khal better than Any so far...
  7. Question: How long has MD been Available to the Public? A year Seems to be About the Time frame I get from The talk of the Old players. When is MD's Birthday?
  8. Yea the Oriental Feel is what I was getting from it as well. On second thought, I agree the Whole Arena idea is a bit Theatrical for a Dojo... Keeping it simple Sounds good. I kinda Half picture it as a Bit worn down as well, like a Few Practice Dummies Lying on the Ground in Pieces, possible from a Dojo Trainee who didn't know their own Strength... "Worn Down" might be the wrong words, more like "Well Used"...
  9. I know your Question was Directed at Glai, but I thought I'd give you the Reasons why I typically find myself No longer playing Browser based games. The Biggest Reason: Time, and my Own Changing life. - I find that I play a game for a Few months at a Time and then Loose focus. That's what happened to me in WOW, I got got Level 40 and realized that other than a few Spells and things, all I had to look forward to was more Mob killing and Item Collection. I decided I had better things to do with my Time. The next Reason: Boredom - The Only Browser Game I've played for a Long period was Space Federation, Galactic Conquest. It was a Very basic Text based game. I played for a Month or two at a Time, typically while I did other things on my Computer, and took a Month or two break ever so often. I played this game over about three Years. During those Three years, Not a Thing was Ever changed, nothing New Implemented, or a Single Line of Text changed. I play games to Entertain myself, if I feel like Every time I log in its the "same old thing" I am sure to leave. And the Last Reason I tend to Leave Games: I feel like I'm Required to Play - The last browser Game I played was Tribal Wars. I was fairly Involved in my Tribe, and felt like I had an Obligation to help them. Not only that but the Game required alot of Timing and Coordination. I would Find myself searching for a Computer so I could Log in and Launch a Wave of Attack at just the Right moment. While Interesting Strategy wise, it tended to Leave no Time for a Life, and I felt like I had to choose between the two, Now for Some Positive feed Back of Magic Duel: - I will never get Bored here, With the Concept of RPCs and their Quests I know there will always be things to Do. With Mur's Constant Vision of the Future I know that Every Month or so this game will Feel totally Different. - Though I feel a bit Pressured to preform as an RPC, I feel much more like I can do it at my own pace. The freedom you give us RPC in our Quests is Amazing, and gives this game a Very Unique style. It also of Course allows for Constant New thought in terms of Quests and Goals. - Multiple ways to Grow. In most games I feel like my Main Priority is to get Stronger (WOW is the main example of this), Here I have to Option to Grow a Character. To Invent Quests and New Concepts, to Offer Players my Own Ideas in what should be Available in the Game - Great Community. Nuff Said I don't see myself Leaving Anytime Soon. If I do it will Likely be because I develop one of these "Life" things that somehow is More important that MD. There will likely be times when I just need a Break, Leave for a Week or two, and Hopefully come back Refreshed. I will Leave some Notice when I do something of that Sort...
  10. Mur... if I were you I would Avoid any Thread that has my Name as the Topic. Still Kudos on a Great game, I hope you know how Much I respect you for the Unique Ideas and thoughts that Go into the Game. I'm thankful Everyday that you were Kind enough to Allow me to add a Little of myself to the Game in the Form of Bootes. You are someone I would be Delighted to get to Know in Real Life. I only wish you had the Time to Interact and Enjoy the World that you Created more. However I'm sure the Flood of PMs and E-mails you get every time you are Online makes that near Impossible.
  11. Please Don't get me Wrong. I love Mur, his game is Incredible, and he is a Very Smart and Interesting Individual. I say No more because I think of how I would Feel in Mur's Position, Very Thrilled and Touched that Others thing I deserve it. But not Egotistic enough to go and Put a Statue of myself In game. The whole game is a Tribute to Mur, and the Efforts of Many Others. Perhaps One day there Will be a Hall of Fame, or something, that Congratulates all Those who have made a Great Effort to the Game. If an Hopefully when that Happens I will Fully Support Manu having a Statue. By the Way, what does a Mur look like? I understand this Will Upset many People, and I'm likely to get Flamed a bit. This is just my Opinion.
  12. - Players who have been by in the last 8 minutes (Blacked Out) - Already there... - Players who have been there in the last 24 hours (Grayed Out) - Seems less Useful to me, especially with the 8minuet one already being Implemented - Players who are in the same or an attackable MP range - Look at the Colored "Cross" (I've heard it described that way). That shows what MP a person is. - Players who have enough creature vitality to be attacked - Already there when you Click the name... - Players who are Idle - Players who are not idle - Players with within your alliance - Players in another alliance - Players who are unalligned - All of these are Already Implemented in one Form or Another (Alliances should be VERY Obvouse already...) - Players connected to you via immediate Master connections (adepts of your own master, your master, your adepts) - Actually this One would be Pretty Useful... - Players who have been chatting in the last x minutes. Maybe the time would be specifiable. - I'd prefer Time Codes in Chat to this... There were a few Reasons why that Idea hasn;t caught Hold (Space Constraints, and Manu thinks he will Change how long Messages will remain in Chat Eventually) - Players who have masters - Players who don't have masters (useful for adept hunting) - You can already see who Someone is Adepted too... If no Name present, they Have none. - Players with win - loss values that are higher than yours - Players with win - loss values that are lower than yours - the Honor reward Listed gives you this Information Already - Players on your hit list - Uhhh, Use your Hate List...? - Players on your buddy list - Maybe, though there is already the Buddy List... and I hope you know the Names of your Buddies to Recognize when they are in the Same Location... - Players that have attacked you recently (still stored in your battle log) - Players you have attacked recently - Maybe... but Already there in Battle Logs - Players you have PMed recently and vice versa - Generally this is Stored in your Messages already All in all, I think you have one Good Idea in all of these. Almost all this Information is Available already if you just Look for it. And Trust me Manu does not want to make Everything At a Glance available...
  13. Lol, Rex. Flobots rock... "I can Lead a Nation with a Microphone...." You know this Leads me to Another Music Question. Where is the Front Page Music from? When I first Found MD (I clicked a Banner Ad from a Different Online game), that Music Sold me to give the game a Shot. So perfectly Fantasy... Honestly, there were times that I'd wait to hear the Whole song before I logged in...
  14. I disagree with the Carpet Idea, Carpets outdoors.... just badness. It looks as though you have gone with an Arena Format, so here are somethings I think of when I think or Arenas (Dojo Style)... - Weapon Racks, a Must have, Preferably with a Little of Everything. - Perhaps a Small Raised Arena for the Matches (Could be Simpler, like a Ring of Rocks) In terms of Decoration: (some of this Might be Overboard and take up too much Space) - Banners with Symbols and Characters (Ying-Yang is common) - Dojo's typically have a small Shrine - Water Features, Martial Arts and Dojos are all about Finding your Center, and Inner Strength. Often this means Meditation in some way. Water is great for it's soothing effects in this Regard (Don't forget a Little Green as well).
  15. Well I kinda agree with Both Areas of thought. The constant flow of new things is Cool and keeps things Interesting, but there are some things which defiantly need to be Improved. Top thing on my list is the Balance system. Great Idea, but right now It works about as well as a Cheesy Pick up line in a Bar. I can Understand how Spelling and things are a Low Priority, but the Battle System seems pretty Important, and right now the Incentives are all Towards Losses.

Why, No...but however did you Know? Hello there. I don't think we've Been Properly Introduced... *Looks around for a Moment* Oh... I Suppose you want me to do it? Fine. Here Penelope, let me Show you how to Solve the Dreaded "Wacky Sudoku"... *Waits until Earl is gone* Poor Earl, you know you'd have Thought he'd be more Aware of how much of a Dork he is... Well he does Actually talk to Women, unlike some People I could mention... Pfffft... Who Needs Women? More trouble than they are worth Really... So Emotional, Unpredictable,... So ... So... God I'm Lonely... There there Red, Why don't we Go on That Adventure Now? I bet that Will make you Feel Better. *Sniffling* Maybe... Oh come on, I bet we Get to do Some cool things. And you'll probably meet New people to Insult... Yea... you think so? Ok, well then we should get on this thing. Now what sortof Adventure?

filk, You can Read the Whole Log, all the way up to Day one... Click the Adventure Log link at the Top of the Screen, then Click the "View All" button.
  18. Mur You have the Exact Same Taste in Music as I do.... I'd like to know what Band is Playing in Marble Dale Park, that's the only one I don't know so far... (Edit: I listened to this Song Again... Please I must have it...B) ) Actually I don't know the Song in Wind's Sac either, but I have alot of Music like that already... While the Nightwish song you have for the Gazebo is not one of my Favorites, it is Fitting for that Location. [Edit #2] Now the Nightwish song at the Top of Paper Cabin is more to my Liking
  19. I want to Point out that this is FAR more than I received when I became an RPC. The only Ability I've received since becoming and RPC is the Ability to make Quests and award WPs. Also the Inner Document Which is cool, but in Practice actually means that I have to Use up alot of My time Reading PM's and alot of my Heat casting the Spell. *Sorry bit of a Rant there* Treehill I agree with you here, But as Glai and I said before, I don't think Adding a Game Mechanic is the Answer. I suggest more Along the Lines of what Penelope Suggested. Make a list, Keep a Track of those how Choose to Consider the Dojo their own Free Range, and Mercilessly Attack them whenever you see them. Blood, we do Remember. Back then it was Kill or Be Killed, there was no Area with even a Little support of being Safe. If you wanted to Heal with someone you had to talk it out in a Sanctuary and Find a place that worked. Also heading to Unpopulated areas worked well. When I was a new MP3 I had to Struggle just like everyone else Searching for those with low VE so I could level my Creatures. And as Glai said, MP5 is a Whole new Ballgame. There is a Huge Variety of Rituals out there, and you are Forced through a rough Learning Curve (I may be an RPC, but I'm a Weak MP5). As Burns said the thing to do is Socialize, you do find that if you are Kind and give people wins and Exp they are more willing to do the Same for you. I would like to Say that I DO Support the Dojo, I think it is a Great way for New Players to Socialize and Learn a little about how the Battle system works. Ideally it would be Great if no One attacked without Permission and it was like a Sanctuary with Learning. Reality, however, is less then Ideal. There will be people Praying on the Weak, and Idle. My Suggestions: - Don't Consider the Dojo 100% Safe. Keep some Dummy Defenses up to protect from Random Attackers. - Go to the Dojo to find Someone who Wants to help Heal you. Agree on a Remote place to Preform the Healing Rituals, that way you can Repeat the Rituals as many Times as you need. - Talk to Players at the Dojo, Learn who is there regularly, and who is there to Help. - When you find yourself at Full VE, and Need someone to Attack, wait for these people who Take advantage of the Dojo, and then Take advantage of the Fact that they just Weakened themselves.
  20. I've made Sure my Quest Uses as Little Images and Code as Possible. Also now that Mur has given RPCs Server Space you may start Seeing More Elaborate Quests *Hint Hint* So to answer the Question, my Quests are Almost Always available through my Profile.
  21. I don't like this Idea as a Form of Punishment, But perhaps as a Sort of Contest or something it would be Interesting. I Imagine it similar to the Heads Contest, but Not so General. Like maybe a Special Kind of Head (or Whatever), that is very Rare and Grants a Boost to the Person who Has it. The reason why I don't agree with it as a Punishment is because the Dojo is a Community based feature, it is Supported by Mur only in that he likes the Idea, but it is up to the Community (Us) to make it work.
  22. Wow, that's really odd. As far as I remember you should have a Continue Button to keep going in the Story. It's also strange it happened on a Second Account as well. I'll see what I can do to get the Attention of people who Might be able to fix this Glitch or help in someway...

Umm, Excuse me I have a Name, and there are a Few others of us who Have names as well. Treehill makes a Good point though, Why Don't I have a Name? Red, your a Voice in my Head, be glad I gave you a Color to Identify yourself. I can't be Bothered to Name all you People, Heck I can't Even keep track of how many There are these Days. By my Count there's us three... Earl, you know Full well there is many More than just Us. Everyone else is just Too shy to say Anything right now... Ok, Three so far. Better? Oh and to Sacosphilz, The Capitalization thing has more to do with Body Memory than Actual thought. We may be Different voices, but we all Use the Same Hands... Idle Hands are the Devils plaything.... Though in My case I get around that by Subletting the use of my Hands...
