Necropost, now that rain has an effect Sunny needs one to balanced it out. Sun could: Drain water via evaporation Reduce regen timer Increase heat gained Cancel night mode All/some of the abov

3. You could probably figure out all 5 reasons if you look at 11 pages of forum posts and use process of elimination. You'd even get wind drach for doing such a mundane task.
4. Keep multirandom as is. Make moraleaura affect other creatures (it currently only affects the imp) Keep its attackboost the same
5. Discussing morale etc is getting us offtopic... My ideas so far on targets: All should be nerfed with the n*m**(n-1) formulum and a value for m needs to be determined Multiple should hit 3-6, so that a ritual consisting of two creatures cannot be hit. Single target creatures should be able to deal more damage to a single target, the imp does this well with his attackboost auras, the Sharpter does this well with aimedhit and creatureboost.
6. Because some things don't need creatureboost. A pimp/knator would need creatureboost to compete with bloodpacts and drachs at higher levels, while in a black and white competition normal Knators would still be useful.
7. Pimps have weaken too IIRC but a vanilla knator has higher attack than a vanilla grasan but lacks the option of weaken. Examples updated. Premium knator with creatureboost? *drools*
8. FRAC Version 0 (First version where I start counting :P)
Freeze will always target a slot containing a creature and will target slots containing frozen creatures with a lower priority than slots that contain frozen creatures A random slot containing a nonfrozen creature set to damage, weaken, or lifesteal A random slot containing a nonfrozen creature If there are no more slots containing a nonfrozen creature then the aura will stop searching for targets Antifreeze will always target a slot containing a creature and will target slots containing frozen creatures with a higher priority than slots that do not contain frozen creatures, if a creature with antifreeze is frozen it will unfreeze itself before unfreezing other creatures. A creature's antifreeze aura will always trigger, even if that creature is not frozen. A random slot containing a frozen creature set to damage, weaken, or lifesteal A random slot containing frozen creature A random slot containing a creature If there are no more slots containing creatures then the aura will stop searching for targets Auras will be applied in following order: All freeze auras All antifreeze auras All of the auras from whichever player has more stats invested in the fight except for freeze, antifreeze, skillvampire, and vampiricaura All skillvampire and vampiricaura auras All of the auras from whichever player has the least stats invested in the fight A player's invested stats would be the sum of all stats on their player profile related to combat multiplied by the percent of influence they have in the fight. A creature's auras will still be applied if it is frozen.
SW should not have a stronger skillvampire aura than a TS. SW should have higher base stats than TS but should affect influence in the same manner.
9. Every creature/creature family should fill a niche not filled by any other creature/creature family Five examples designs implementing the above design goal: Aramors might have strong single target damage and morale Bloodpacts might have aoe damage/weaken (using the n*m**(n-1) formulum for all) Sharptears might have strong single target damage Pimps might have strong aoe damage/weaken (keeping target multiple at all levels and not having access to all) Drachs might offer a mix of utility and damage Knators might have strong aoe damage
10. If a creature's auras are unaffected by freezes then the existence of "aurawhores" creatures that don't do much except provide auras would would make freeze less appealing. If you are offended by the term "aurawhores" please send me a PM and we will find a new word:P
11. Spoilerz stuff is significantly hindering discussion. But what should be documented publicly? Yes: What the targets (weak, strong, dying, etc) are and how they work What the auras (creatureboost, are and how they work Creatureboost would likely need to be changed so that it boosts all creatures in the same "family" for ritual building (family meaning creature limit stuff, someone else can word it better) What the abilities (damage, heal, regen, etc) are and how they work What the creatures (aramors, imps, etc) are and what auras they have (maybe...?perhaps only let them see the stuff for a creature family once they've obtained a creature from that family...?) No: Creature's stats and specific upgrade costs Stats/principles received when saccing crits Where creatures can be recruited Once a player has had a creature they should be able to view the base stats of that creature somehow. Eg I have a level 3 imp. I should be able to "View Lesser Forms" of it to see the details of level 2 imp and level 1 imp.
12. FRAC does not refer to how it does work. FRAC refers to how I think it SHOULD work.
13. Yes DD. Skill drain is based around a fairly reasonable concept, but does it work as effectively as it should? Does it work too effectively? Does it work not effectively enough? Should skill drain only drain influence (not the creature's base stats)? Should skill drain apply before/after boosting auras? There are many factors affecting how skill drain could potentially work and also many theories on how it should work. How should skill drain work and what should it do? How I envision skillvampire working: Player A has very high stats. Player B has very low stats. If player A and player B fight at 100% with no skillvampire then player A will win. If player A and player B fight at 100% and player B properly utilizes skillvampire (ideally, there being many proper ways to utilize skillvampire) then player B will win. During the "auras" phase of combat the following would be done: Freeze/antifreeze The player with the most stats's boosting auras both player's skillvampires The player with the least stats's boosting auras But then why not always use 0% and skillvampire? With no extra vitality your creatures will still die very quickly You will need to use popes so that your creatures don't die You will have less room for boosting auras and raw damage because you need to use skillvampire and popes If somebody attacks you at 0% with grasans or other basic damage then they will win Advanced rock paper scissors! FRAC Freeze will always target a slot containing a creature and will target slots containing frozen creatures with a lower priority than slots that contain frozen creatures A random slot containing a nonfrozen creature If there are no more slots containing a nonfrozen creature then the aura will stop searching for targets Antifreeze will always target a slot containing a creature and will target slots containing frozen creatures with a higher priority than slots that do not contain frozen creatures, if a creature with antifreeze is frozen it will unfreeze itself before unfreezing other creatures. A creature's antifreeze aura will always trigger, even if that creature is not frozen. A slot containing a frozen creature with the antifreeze aura A random slot containing frozen creature A random slot containing a creature If there are no more slots containing creatures then the aura will stop searching for targets Auras will be applied in following order: All freeze auras All antifreeze auras All of the auras from whichever player has more stats invested in the fight except for freeze, antifreeze, skillvampire, and vampiricaura All skillvampire and vampiricaura auras All of the auras from whichever player has the least stats invested in the fight A player's invested stats would be the sum of all stats on their player profile related to combat multiplied by the percent of influence they have in the fight. A creature's auras will still be applied if it is frozen.
14. Not much is being said about the Morale aura held by imps. Is it useful? If it isn't useful then it should be useful.
15. If bloodpacts get creatureboost then pimps should also get creatureboost.
16. edit: Changed color of text replying to No one to purple and fixed a typo
17. ITT: Design Goals! My thoughts on what the Design Goals should include: Add or remove as few of the following as possible: Creatures Targets Abilities Auras Create a system that is fun while: encouraging meaningful decisions maintaining a large variety of useful rituals maintaining a large variety of useful creatures edit1: rephrased "Limit the addition and removal of:" to "Add or remove as few of the following as possible:"
18. Having a set of design goals around which to base future propositions of change to the combat system would do wonders in preventing needless bickering. Let's make some design goals.
19. Fastest time or lowest amount of moves?
20. Lash killed Mur to be an opposing force to a god (god slayer)
21. Every forum post will always be passive-aggressively insulting towards you.
22. lashtal killed Mur to fulfill a meaningful prophecy associated with his (lashtal's) name Lash killed Mur to be an opposing force to a god (god slayer) Lash killed Mur to break the limits Lash killed Mur to create a new path Lash killed Mur to bring balance Lash killed Mur to further explore the meaning of his existence Lash killed Mur to start a chain reaction lashtal killed Mur killed so that lashtal could act upon desire and lust instead of purposeful will Lash killed Mur to further explore the meaning of his own (his own referring to lashtal) existance Lash killed Mur to bring knowledge of a different principle
