1. While I do not mind entirely, I am trapped at the Oak Fort and am unable to move.

I keep getting the same error, no matter how many times I restart my browser, clear my cache, or clear my history. I've run two cleaner scans on my computer thus far, and nothing has changed.

"Please clear cache and refresh your interface. If this problem persists, try again in a few minutes or report it as a bug."

At this point, I would regard this as a bug. To my knowledge, there are other users in the game who are using fire fox without a problem at the moment, and that happens to be the browser I use.

What should I do concerning this movement issue?

2. I would like to make a suggestion concerning the Legend's List. As I cannot for the life of me recall who is on it, I would like to suggest BlackThorn to be added to the list. For many months during the early days of Loreroot, BlackThorn, Nelya, Savelfuser, Knator Commander and several other influential characters put their heads together and started to work on the general structure of the Guardians. BlackThorn, as I recall, had a great impact on that particular structure.

[Edit: Please keep in mind that some of the information regarding the Guardian's history may have happened a bit different than the way I have spoken of it here. I do not know the exact events that occurred back then, but I can only say what I have read and seen myself from the people who were around during that time.]

There was also a large project some time after, back when I first joined, that was meant to add some bit of culture or presence to Loreroot. Though it was something that did not make it into the game, as I believe it was rejected by Muratus, it was still a massive undertaking. It later was to be made into a large and 'epic' quest, but there was not enough player involvement to make it into one, and so it fell under once again.

From this project, which was inspired by MD, I have on my computer an entire folder with 3 pages worth of writing, artwork (of at least 30 or more detailed scene illustrations), and other creative things (writing and the like) contributed by players (some of which still play the game occasionally) and BlackThorn's user himself.

BlackThorn has also created some recent history with Loreroot, though it is quite negative history- it still caused tremors through the realm.

He has also given MD some of it's most creative and detailed avatars, which inspires me to mention his time in the Artisans Guild.

-----

[Edit #2: Adding another nomination, so I don't have to make another post to crowd the thread with.]

Though GlorDamar has already been nominated, I would like to elaborate a bit on what exactly he did. Not only was he the true alliance leader of the Artisans, he was the first Artisan and is considered it's founder. During my time as an Artisan, under Kalamanira Kol, he was my boss and managed who became an artisan and who did not.
He also spent a large amount of time drawing for MD, whether it be avatars or scenes- he helped develop and draw a large portion of the archives as well. It was a large undertaking, but his artwork is still seen in the realm.

3. From Kiley, who may not have a forum account:

"Dear Amoran,
Upon entering this realm I was plagued with a reoccuring dream. I wake on the golden beaches of Golemus, the sun shining down on my body. As I lay on my stomach I close my eyes, tranquility filling my mind...It is then that the beast emerges from the water. Slowly I turn my head, his very essense permeating my being as he comes to me. I know he is trying to speak to me..not with words, but in my mind. I can not understand and become distressed as I feel the urgency behind his need.

I awaken with him in my mind every morning and have spent many days searching for the meaning or the actual man that comes to me, demanding me to remove my mask. I have found what it is that I have searched for Amoran and am now forever changed. The mask I've hidden behind is slowly being removed, allowing me to embrace the heart that has been hidden for too long.

As you can see from Kiley's dream and the ensuing journey the avi is more than a perfect fit for my evolving charecter. I do not know what dear Kiley's future holds, but am confident that not only will she surprise me but all of MD."

Edit: Avatar has been granted to Kiley for her role.

4. I recently took a look at the avatars that I have stored in my vault, and I currently hold two avatars that need a home. I would prefer if someone wore them who had a 'similar' or 'matching' role to what is displayed in the artwork.

The avatars are as follows:
1.

Description: A simple fairy with segmented wings flying while summoning a sort of energy to her right hand. This is an avatar that I drew and uploaded.

2.

Harlequin has been granted to Kiley for her role.

What I want each of you who might be interested in these two avatars to do is to post a brief description of your role, tell me why you think you deserve this avatar, and tell me how it inspires the character or role you play.

The Quest ends when I feel I have found two new homes for the avatars. :)

5. This particular union is based off of the aspect that adepts are expendable, like employees at a cheap part-time fast food job. The simple fact is that they are not. Adepts, as I stated in my first post, are earned through respect.

What makes this idea a problem to genuine protectors is that the activity scale fluctuates during the week. You could start the week off with 38 adepts and end the week with 31 adepts.

Taking only a few from each protector could essentially remove each protector from mp6 status, especially considering the amount of people in MD who are 'young players' who have what is known as a life outside the game.

The simple fact is that treating the mp6 status like this will destroy a large bit of work that genuine protectors put into becoming mp6, and yes it takes quite a lot of patience to help people on such a massive scale.

6.
Having been made aware of the potential problem of adept siphoning, I have implemented a rule that members of the HAU be adepted to an existing protector mp6 while between clients, to try to minimize the impact on mp6s.

Do you have any suggestions on what else could be done?
I think that particular requirement for what you are trying to do is reasonable, as for a better solution to that I currently can't come up with one. As for a solution to decrease the strife that the mp6 change will cause, I can only suggest a game-wide change at the moment. Those are easy to speak but never easy to achieve unless a large number of people agrees with what is suggested, and as long as what is suggested is laid out clearly.

My post was spoken mostly toward the people who won't follow along with your request to adept to an mp6 in-between. Or in general, not follow along in any sort of reasonable ideal at all. There are many people in the game like that, unfortunately.

7. I will say this very clearly, as a current mp6 who has remained mp6 for a selfless purpose: I do not, absolutely do not agree with the new unfinished changes. The only thing I can agree with is the 100 days requirement, but not that the mp6 stage, which has ever been used as a stage to protect younger players to become a solely experimental stage.

I have had numerous people tell me to drop so they can work toward raising their creatures, and each time I have refused to do so. I will drop when I am ready, and I will continue communicating with my adepts as I have been long after I remove myself from this mind power.

There are many in the realm who ARE selfish, and that is unfortunately a quality that this current change will bring out in many players, especially those who wish to gain an achievement, or wish to max their creatures just to have them maxed. I feel that this sort of thing will hurt the few mp6 who have chosen to stay in that mind power for a reason.

I feel that a second option should be set in place for people who wish to upgrade their creatures. A different challenge that will NOT cause unrest in the realm and conflict between players- perhaps a new and more challenging way to train said creatures after they reach a certain stage?

It's highly unlikely that such a thing will be put in place, but I'm certain that there are ways to make it reality in the game if individuals wish to try hard enough to make it reality.

Concluding this, I ask that the players who wish to become mp6 to upgrade their creatures at least speak to the existing mp6 in the game before 'begging' or 'taking' any adepts unfairly.
A lot about finding adepts is mutual respect between the protector and the adept, and an agreement to help said adept further (by giving small hints and clues along the way) himself in the game. With this new 100 active days requirement, it makes finding adepts more difficult, as many mp6 of old prayed upon the new mp3 players to fuel their mind power. Basically, it takes a lot of time to find adepts, and a lot of time to earn adepts. Please don't ruin that with selfishness.

8. I believe you missed the point of what I said Kyphis. It would be something to encourage high quality avatars, rather than low quality avatars that will sit in the shop and likely not be used.

Something could mean a medal, it could mean an achievement, I don't know.. ideas are welcome.

9. I've been scanning through the avatar shop recently, and I've been noticing the diversity of the avatars that have been uploaded. I see a couple of old ones, usually, mixed with a lot of terribly made avatars, and then a few new uploads that are of decent quality.

Perhaps there should be a medal awarded for people who upload high quality avatars? My thinking here is that it may possibly encourage the productivity and quality of avatar uploads in the future.

Just a thought, an achievement or something would work for the idea too.

(Now, this is just going by the thought that you can track who uploaded what avatar.)

10. I've been debating about throwing up a few pictures, if not just for the fun of it. So.. here we go:

Mirror picture, complete with bathroom supplies and smudges on the mirror.

My second Ren-faire look. I stole someone's cloak in order to complete it.

Yes, that is Jon Schaffer of Iced Earth looking caffinated out of his mind. The band members are very laid back and 'chill' with everyone. I would highly recommend, if you get a chance, to see them in concert (even if Barlow isn't in the band anymore :( ).

Last: A very old picture from about.. 4 years ago. I was 16, and now I'm almost 21. I haven't changed much. Scary!!

@Curiose's bottle picture: Ho'snap! I can do that too! It's a lovely way to carry around a nice cold beverage on a hot day.

11. PREAMBLE

The axis has shifted.
The world is returned unto balance.
Look to the skies.
Give thanks for Her return.
Great Goddess, the Children of the Eclipse welcome thee.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Friends, moon-worshippers, seekers, welcome. This is a “red” worship service of the Children of the Eclipse in honour of our tripartite Goddess. As in the days of old, we offer blood to Her: but in the realm of MagicDuel, we offer not the blood of animals, but of ourselves. Dueling - battle - is not only permitted at this service but encouraged. If you seek a peaceful form of worship, go elsewhere! Yet all are welcome among us, faithful and unfaithful alike. We ask only that fighting be conducted in silence, and personal communication handled through the passing of personal messages, while the service lasts.

INVOCATION

O friend and companion of night,
Thou who rejoicest in the baying of dogs and spilt blood,
Who wand'rest in the midst of shades among the tombs,
Who longest for blood and bringest terror to mortals,
Gorgo, Mormo, thousand-faced moon, look favourably on our sacrifices!
[Amen]

SERMON
[Hear now the words of Amoran, Huntress of the Between:]
In this time when the sun blazes it's way across the sky- yet does not set,
and the wind changes and blows the scent of growth in the air:
We, as the earthen life around us, do not grow.
We are stagnant and still, our roots embedded in dry soil.
How are we to flourish, if the sky does not nurture us, and the sun does not sooth us, and the night does not fall upon us and allow us true rest?
We flourish in feeling, toward others.
Possibilities are dormant within our energy.
We do not need damp soil, a cycle, or rain to nourish us.
The sky does not bless us, but we bless ourselves and others.
In this time of growth and renewal, pray to the earth beneath your feet- rather than a sky that only scorches those below.

PRAYER

O, wondrous Lady of the Moon!
How radiant is your face that shines on me
in silvery rays that lavish my skin in silken kisses.
How wonderful you are,
Great Mother Goddess,
that hath given beauty to the Earth,
that hath showered it in Love,
that hath given your Priestess the Power to walk in your footsteps.

O Radiant Mother!
As the moon penetrates me with its magical light,
so do I sing to you!
Your Love hath given me Light,
and your Strength hath given me Magic.
In the light of the eternal Moon
do I sing praises unto you!

Blessed is the Crescented Lady,
Mother of Life,
Giver of Magic.
Blessed is She,
my protectorate,
that watches over me!
Blessed be!
[‘Amen’ or ‘blessed be’]

BENEDICTION

Children of the Eclipse and people of MagicDuel: the Goddess has heard your prayers. Go now in ferocity and cunning, in stealth and in silence, and find victory.

I like the announcement, like Chewy Said.

In the back of my mind, I was always thinking that perhaps this would be a solution, and voila! It is implemented.

As for the mp6 thing and above...

MP6 are normally in alliances, anyway, so maxing their creatures would be easy. However, I do not agree with people going all happy dandy and gathering adepts JUST because they want to max their creatures. I stand by those who actually become mp6 to help people, rather than for selfish reasons. Other than that, Mur said RARE creatures. Probably like Darks, Morphs, etc. Which, is probably to also help them from becoming a monopoly?
I will say this: I am in complete agreement with Curiose's statement on this. I realize that this is a change in the game play, but I will leave mp6 if it's purpose to help newbies in the game is lost. If that's the case, I would rather simply go for LHO and continue to help newbies outside of mp6. The spells are a great help where aiding others is concerned, but if mp6 is cheapened, I can do without the spells.
