The money was donated to the artisans, so I feel that it would be wrong to, in essence, choose for them where they might have wanted the money to go otherwise.

Now I suggest no solution to this, as someone already said, ideally the money should be given back to those that donated, we can see a partial list, so I'm pretty sure there's a full list available, but not entirely sure how...possible(?) that is to happen, or the likelihood, for whatever reason.

I cannot recall what the artisan treasury was for either, because I'm pretty sure (and please correct me if I'm wrong) they got given credits (doubt rl money, but possible) that were not a part of that treasury for the work that they did.

Like I say, I offer no solution here, and as I very much doubt the guild being reformed, as players can upload their own avatars now, the need is reduced for it, and as the guild isn't likely to reform, there isn't much need of a treasury for it, so something should happen with it, the question is just, what?

With regard to BFH's funding problem, he could request an advertiser's treasury?

Firstly, I am highly against the credits being used for some other organization in the game. They were intended to be used as payment to the artisans who drew avatars for the game, and they were supposed to be used to 'give back' what the artisans 'gave' in avatars.

One of the artisans (GlorDamar) was paid in real money for his work, but others had to rely on the credits that were given in the game as payment for their work and the treasury was supposed to be used to give a bonus to the artisans who did not have the blessing of receiving real money for their art.

They should be given back to the people who donated them or they should not be used at all.

  2. I think it is a very sincere attempt at the human figure. The human form is difficult to draw if you haven't studied it before, and even then it's still difficult to draw because the human form is complex in a very simple way. I would suggest doing some independent studies on the female figure, as for some that can be the most difficult thing to draw. (One good way to do a study is to draw from pictures. If you go on deviantart, some people actually have models pose in various ways and take pictures simply so artists like you or me can study them.)

I like your drawing of the harp and the fairy, by the way. Those two are probably my favorites.

  3. Just to specify, in case anyone didn't understand this the first time. There has been no labeling that the black substance is liquid dust or black water, it is simply something that would bring those two substances to mind.

Darigan to my knowledge did not start this story quest, and does not control the storyline any more than I or any other quester does.

  4. I don't believe that Eon is unreasonable at all in regards to battle, and I don't believe making a complaint about him in the forums is going to gain you support from very many people, including Eon.

What you should have done is spoken to him personally via PM and worked something out. There is no rule that states that he cannot attack you, and there is no rule that states that you cannot attack him.

I don't think that he is hitting you to antagonize you, but perhaps he is hitting you because he enjoys the fighting aspect of the game. Eon attacks everyone, including me sometimes.

  5. Loreroot does not at all dislike Knator Commander. You speak in ignorance and jab a finger at those who do nothing wrong (Handy Pockets). Many do not know the purpose of the seeds or the insulators, to them they simply have an item in their inventory and don't know what it's for or what it's worth. I have stressed fellow Loreroot alliance members and citizens the importance of returning such items to the knights of Knator Commander after Stonebiter requested it of me. (to my knowledge the items were given, but I haven't checked in awhile.)

Not to repeat Mya: But, before you go on about Loreroot's "dislike" or "hate" of Knator Commander, get your story straight and don't slander a land that doesn't bloody deserve it.
Azull: Tipu, I agree hate is too strong a word.
However there was/is some opposition to KC's mission.
There was hostility in the midst of confusion in the past, and to my knowledge there was only a few who opposed Knator Commander at that time. He is ever welcome in Loreroot, despite the events of the past, and if he ever were to return.. he would be welcomed with open arms.

Speak to the people if you don't believe me, much has changed since that time.

As to pashweetie, if he chooses to go about saying nonsense, then he will be called out and properly "educated". If this is only a rumor, it will be looked into to see if it is fabrication or truth.

  6. While I see the benefit of checking wish points to ensure that they are valid, and ensuring that they were in fact given for a considerable reason...

I do not see the benefit of taking away past or already spent wish points that were used say, two years ago when the rules on wish point rewards weren't entirely clear.

If you are going to remove wish points with terrible reasons behind them, remove them during a time when the rules were well defined, where people should know better. During the time of RPCs there was no doubt a lot of (what we would currently consider) wish point abuse, and that mostly is because the rules were blurry.

I believe that if you start taking away already spent wish points that were gathered during an entirely different time period in MD's history (before kings, before well defined rules regarding rewards, before MD had a set of well defined rules concerning abuse and other things), it might be very very damaging.

I would rather something like this be handled with a sense of fairness, and see the council review wish points that were given out in recent times, like.. this year (or whenever Mur made the announcement about strict rules for wish points) rather than older wish points that were spent or given ages ago.

As for "witch hunts" you all likely know my opinion of those, so I won't bother with speaking of it.

Edit: I found the announcement relating to strict rules for wish points.

Added to the rules: WP exchange is striclty forbidden. Players that will exchange wishpoints will get seriously penalised or baned. Wishpoints should be granted only for good and well documented reasons. Any WP rewarded with an unclear or unsufficient reason can be canceled if found and the reward giver investigated. (this rule will apply soon for the upcomming WP rewarding features that will replace the RPC WP rewarding.)
My suggestion would be.. to review wish points that were given during the time of this announcement (10/15/2009) to the current day (12/05/2010).

This doesn't exempt certain cases (like the case of Mya Celestia and the guardian's quest and the wish point fiasco with cutler's labyrinth) in which case I would also state that.. they should have a chance to explain themselves, or be given a chance to state a detailed reason as to why they gave out said wish point.

  7. The "swinging woman" is a piece of art that was submitted by an old artisan by the name of Amorte.

He did 3 avatars similar to this, including a woman standing in a pool of water, a woman who appeared to be bending flame, and his depiction of Sagewoman.
