i really dont get how u guys put values on these coins. i didnt keep on reading the silver coin thread because it was just to unrealistic. but let me get this straigh 15 worthless silver coins that are nothing but a small little bonus added to a useful statboosts should be worth a real MDShop item, a gold coin? dunno where the mp4 xp cap is right now but i guess no mp4 can ever buy it and mp6 have a really hard time getting it since its really hard to get honor. it has huge requirements and is at the end of the shop and not at he very beginning like the BONUS silver coins that come with the metal orb. the gold coin also gives u perm stats. 2 are rather easy to get to - in the extra features and perm boosters branch but that still takes more than 20 credits to get to one of them. and what is a rusty worth 51credits... and now a gold coin is worth 15 little bonus items that just are a little add from a real item? i really dont get it even in the shortest MDShop branch it takes at least 20 CREDITS to get to a gold coin. in other branches it takes over 100. and u guys say that 15 aditions/bonuses are worth one?

oh just noticed that grido posted before me that teh rpc list is ordered by player ID. but look at je suis ouefs fous he has an ID just over 100k so he is rather new to the game as well and became rpc. if such new people can even become rpc that should be proof to you that its not all about being veteran dont be in awe of others accomplishments that just slows u down. respect what they accomplished but focus on ur goal and where u want to be. everything that is needed to gain a spot under the top players is learnable its nothing u are born with.

ok so lets take the Diamon Cry Series as an example. lets say i have 9 crits in profile. there are 18 of that token available. lets say i get unlucky and dont get the goldtear at all. so all 9 crits get a blackdiamond. what if i by more now? all 9 crits got blackdiamond so it should get another one. does the token get lost? and if so what happens to the goldtear chance u have? if i keep buying more one should at least trigger a gold tear. will that gold tear then get added to a crit hat has the blackdiamond already? if there is anyone who tested this or had this happen to him already (meaning that u first got a blackdiamond on a crit and then later on the goldtear added) plz post here or contact me.
as far as i understand it, they are calculated based on the principles of the current owner (trading would make little sense if an effect you cant use would be lost for those with the right principles just because you were the one to apply the token). also, you cant put more than one of the same token (same being claw I and claw I, whereas claw I and claw II are considered different tokens) on a creature, so i'd guess the only limiting factor is the random distribution. [edit: @ watcher: synex made an own topic to discuss this: http://magicduel.invisionzone.com//index.p...amp;#entry29939 ]
ah i see so lets say i have 10 crits on my profile page and buy 10 claw1 tokens. does that mean that each crit would get 1 claw token becuase 2 of the same kind cant get on the same crit?
-
from which account is the principle added bonus the crit gets form some of the tokens taken? the account that bought the token for the crit (and traded the crit away) or the current owner? is there a limit to tokens on a crit? could i stak like 100 tokens on the same crit?
-
'distributed randomly among your craetures' D'uh... I don't want my precious credits to go towards my for-collection onyl creatures >.<
yeah same here i even still have an aramor assassin and a hallow warrior just to have at least each crit once. getting a token on those guys would be a total waste. a random distribution just encourages players to sacrifice everything they dont need until only a bunch of crits are left. and then u can still get a token on a santa -.- if u keep it since its a limited collectible crit

Coments on The Festival and a bit of publicity
Lifeline replied to Kriskah Arcanu's topic in General Forum
i got it on my Lifeline account. but my second account which i rarely use that is mp3 and registered with a valid email as well didnt get it. i might have mixed the .de or .com and thats the reason why the second account didnt get it but i think i entered it correctly when i registered on that account. as for the topic. yes the festivals were too long but i am sure that couldnt be helped. its really amazing how fast people got their promotions on the last day of festivals. the only thing that disappointed me a little bit is that i saw the labyrinth challenge more than 12 hours after it started. if such a huge event was planned and rewards go to those who solve it fastest there should have been an annoucement letting people know that that challenge would start the next day at that time. but oh well doesnt matter the labyrinth was awesome. i really enjoyed the festivals -
So you assume roleplay purists don't care about the fighting and don't level their creatures, but do care about getting slaughtered? And even if we ignore that minor inconsistency, it is rather easy to avoid the carnage: don't go to the next mp level.
i said "most roleplay ONLY players" meaning players that rp most of the time and dont use their gaming time to train creatures. or are not willing to spend much time on understanding the game mechanics and gathering wins for their crits to upgrade and thereforce loose very often. i never made a generalization. i see mp4s with over 100 active days that cant even beat the loreroot guards. of course they are unhappy about not gaining entry to loreroot and loosing to most other mp4 because they dont really understand the fighting system and only roleplay. and yes they would care about getting slaughtered because they can never fully heal their crits to even have a chance to win enough fights to upgrade them. and soon after they leave a sanctuary they would loose all vitality again hope u understand better now what i ment
-
stats are overrated anyway. of course if u managed to get ur hands on drachorns and have huge stats at the same time then u have a massive advantage. but in general stats dont affect the game so much. u can spend ages on training ur stats to 10k or something and then a mp6 or former mp6 comes along and freezes ur crits with his spell and makes them only be able to attack single and u get slaughtered. this is the extreme example now. but in general for most players a really strong rit boosted with stats can be defeated even from weak players with the right unit combination. teh fighting system isnt about stats! its about understanding how the creatures work and strategy. those insanly boosting their stats do it to be able to compete with teh top10 on an equal basis. if u dont have time to boost ur stats that much or dont want to simply ignore those few top fighting players. fighting doesnt have a huge impact anyway. u dont suffer any bad consequences from getting beaten over and over again. stats only make a difference if they are several times higher than the opponents. if u got att and def of 500 for example and fight somebody with att and def 1000 u can still win easly with the right ritual. there are just few players who are actually so strong that its almost impossible to beat them. and why care about those 5-10 players? they are a minority.
I am biased in this regard, since I'm a newer player, but it would start me off nearer to the ancient players, so I would have a better chance to pass them.
thats exactly the point. most players (not all) who are in favor of a game reset are either newer ones or didnt manage to build a strong fighting force yet and see that as opportunity to start on equal terms with vets. most roleplayer only players would mostlikely also like a reset because they only roleplay and are sick of getting slaughtered because they never build their crits. i mean a role stays its perm, it belongs to ur player name. if there is a reset to 0, ppl still know ur role and what u did and stuff. so in terms of rp u dont loose anything expect spells and stuff. but for most only roleplayers there will be no loss at all. but there are many people who really like the fighting system and focus most of their efforts on training and those players would suffer greatly from a reset. i am much younger than jester but hope there wont be a reset. its a roleplay game yes but as we see at the very beginning of the game u cant get anywhere without an army(land guardian). ah and for stormrunner .... how can u mess up ur creatures? just sac not needed ones and buy new ones. i dont get it. even if u are limited to only 16crit slots u can still just keep lets say only 6crits for ur main fighting rit and sac all the rest to build them anew. and as for storyline. now honestly it gets really stressed that teh storyline is very important and defines u as a character as well. and it takes a long time to get to mp5. if u didnt care about the story at that point and made wrong choices then its really ur fault. and as for principles thats the only argument i can understand. u start on mp3 and have no clue and just pick those that sound best. but u dont seem to understand their usage. with just 5 principles u cant cast great spells anyway. u gather friends and together u use all the principles. like with the muation spell. around 5 players are gathered for that spell as well so that all principles from all those players combined channel the spell. so to conclude this u cant really mess anything up in MD. the only thing u can is ur storyline but it will get extended and maybe ur wrong choice brings u to a very nice location later on. and on mp5 u should know ur role and the game well enough to chose a fitting storyline.

burns isnt this a roleplaying game? so u should not just concentarte all ur efforts on fighting but also on making connections. when i won my head contest in mp4 i was really new to the realm i didnt even had enough age on my ele to target multiple. no lore crit even near max upgrading level. people didnt realize how weak i was. i could defend my heads but i couldnt attack a strong with vitality boosted rit. wait lets calculate ...i had about 50 active days back then. but that time was enough to be able to plan out a heacontest in which i could win. even if i obviously lagged teh strenght in creatures. mp3 is only about strong creatures. but mp4 is the mp level with the most roleplay anyway so they should be prepared for a head contest that is more about politics than actually fighting strenght. and well mp5 takes both former levels to an extreme. i really like that about the headcontest. if u know the game and are a strong fighter than u shoudl try at mp3. if u are a roleplayer u have the best chance at mp4. -

omg i already have a really hard time reading tarquinus 'highborn nobility' way of speaking, or however u want to call it, but liberty is about the same. jesus dude ever heard of a period? this is really amazing managing to make a sentence that is a whole paragraph without a single period. tarq only makes it impossible for people who dont have really high skills in english to understand what he says but lib makes my head hurt, desperatly searching for a period to have a rest. hmm this reminds me of middle age where the elites didnt want common townsman to understand them. and didnt even speak the language they learned as mother tongue in their country. and this brings me back to the head contest. tarq said its mainly for the elites anyway. well ur way of roleplaying is only for the elites of other countries (countries that dont have english as mothertongue) to understand. if u already exclude a majority of players from even understanding what u say and roleplay why do u complain about the head contest being unfair because its just winable for the elite? now dont get me wrong i dont critizes how u present ur character in MD. i just say that a statement like: "a contest that is fun mainly for the elite" sounds very wrong coming from u. -
now totally unfair outcome of feb/march head contest
Lifeline replied to Lifeline's topic in General Forum
why do u guys even argue if something is more unfair or not that is still within the game mechanics? it is obviously stated that the head contest is unfair and in my point of view people there is nothing bad at all about the 40mins attack delay from people who earned entry into the game. u guys know perfectly what u have done to win or let ur friends win from setting up a whole network of people spying and protecting each area of the game to using ghost rituals and that sort of thing. there are countless ways to 'cheat' in the head contest some get removed others not. for example the keeping or loosing of score when u transfer mp level. now one can have 2 views on that. of course its unfair if a mp4 jumps right before the end of the head contest to mp5 and takes first place there because mp5s have in generall lower score. but on the other hand its also unfair that people who see that they cant win anymore simply jump mp level and force their 4th place onto somebody else who never wanted it and didnt see that coming. we saw this quite a lot in this month contest. at least 2 players who would have placed jumped and forced their normal medal on another player. i dont think its possible to make a head contest fair and think that keeping it unfair is fine. of course things such as offline attacks should get fixed and a ghost ritual isnt nice as well but that is gone now. but mere things as messing with the gazeboo or abusing alliances is not that bad. and by the way its funny seeing u say she fought honorable, u didnt because u used gazeboo or whatever. how do u define what of those things is more or less unfair? kinda childish if people claim that he or a friend won by using less abuses than the others, because we all know that u have to use unfair means to place first. but anyway people manage to place in the head contest and they know that it is unfair. they prepare for it being unfair. they know that anything can happen that cold cost their possible first place. but they still compete taking that risk. those who do place first should then get something that has real value like a gold medal. but a gold medal isnt worth as much anymore if there are 10 players that have 2 medals some of them being gold as well. -
But I myself am a gold medal winner and do not feel the contest has been cheapened by anything but cheating. I salute Aia for taking my advice: she was tempted to use the offline attack bug - it's no secret, you know - in retaliation against Liberty, but I encouraged her to take the "high road" and not stoop to his level. You wish to compete again: well, I am sorry you feel cheated, but the word of Muratus is good enough for me. I am one of the apparently few former winners who will NOT go to any lengths to prevent others from picking up second medals, and did my utmost to frustrate the attempts of those who, in my view, were bad sports about Aia's very strong second showing and went to the most ludicrous lengths, including cowering atop the Paper Cabin and cycling the portal to keep others from getting up there, to try to stop her. She very nearly claimed first again anyway, as she is intelligent and a superb duelist. I appreciate skill. I honour maturity. I would like to see those who are skilled putting their skills to constructive purpose rather than complaining ad nauseam about their inability to repeat the joys of a contest that is fun mainly for the elite. You are a strong fighter, Lifeline, and you seem a decent fellow. Does this contest really mean so much to you?
i was watching this months whole contest and saw the stuff with the gazeboo ect. i am well aware of what happened on both sides this month. i really love the head contest i dont like that i cant participate anymore but its fine. i dont complain against that. the decisions of winners not being able to collect heads makes sense (at least on mp3 and mp4). but i really wonder why a few month after this new rule 10players are all of teh sudden allowed to win again. i miss the logical connection there especially since it wasnt that unbalanced unfair for those being allowed to win again. anyway i already said all this and wont repeat myself. the most fun i ever had in the game was during my head contest and thats why it means so much to me. i placed in mp4 together with shady jester, cutler and cryxus. those are all high class players so i suppose u can understand how much planning was needed to place first. right now most fights are something like 0%-5% to 100% most of the time. its boring. people dont even have a real def rit set up. its mostly a tree or a random rit anyway. or something weak that gives no more than 2000xp. there is no challenge no anything. in the head contest u needed a victorious to really archieve something. it is very strategical on the part of ritual settings and tons of politics involved making sure that nothing goes wrong. outside of the headcontest fighting is rather dull. but i am getting off topic here so i will leave it at that -
Nonsense. I took first, largely on mine own and with help from the incompetence of a certain interfering MP6 with nothing to gain. Those who harbour some kind of deep resentment against Aia should confess their real problem, which doth seem to me to be largely one of petulance.
u dont understand i dont have anything against aia and i am sure others dont as well. but with aia winning first again many former winners got cheated out of all their efforts. and the head medal became nothing but a burden because they cant partcipate again. and now it turned into an even bigger curse because it becomes totally worthless if people run around with 2. or even 2 gold medals. they participated in times where they didnt know that later winning would mean not being able to particpate anymore. that couldnt be changed but made the medal of some players to a huge burden they would prefer to give up. and now with people being allowed to win twice especially when at the time they knew that they couldnt participate again it makes the situation even worse. i got a gold medal that i would glady trow away. i cant imagen how it is for people who were forced onto second place because of similar or even worse abuses and now have to stick with a normal medal and see this new change of events. dont get me wrong i can understand that former winners arent allowed to collect heads again and that is fine with me (at least on mp3 and mp4). the key point stiring all this ill will is winners gaining more than one gold medal. -

what happened in this headcontest just had to happen. everybody who loves the headcontest and cant particpate again got really punished by last winners being able to win again. of course mp3 and mp4 winner would surely win again. and seeing that, old winners would for sure try to stop aia from winning again. i mean now seriously i would happily give up all stats, credits and even the gold medal i gained from winning hc to be just able to participate again not even to win again. and i am sure there are more players who think that way. many people dont seem to understand that for some people the head contest is one of the peek game events. those won the hc before in which all this cheating/abusing whatever u might call it happen already and even worse. people even got permanetly movelocked in previous headcontests. and now all of teh sudden somebody who placed first is said to have suffered under abuses and is allowed to win again? winners are allowed to win again because heads got transfered over all mplevels and simply disappeared. if u compare that to a case where the current first place gets threatened with permanent movelocks until teh hc is finished which is more unfair? in my opinion its the case of somebody who would place first for sure but gets smashed by a mp6 with movelocks. anyway my point is that even more unfair things have happened and people who suffered from that never got any reward or anything. so these people would for sure get angry about others being able to win again and try to stop them from winning again. and to wrap this up i wouldnt be suprised if this continues until all those who are allowed to win again didnt manage to place first. meaning that previous winners will fight hard to stop winners that are allowed to win again from placing first because for them all their work was ruined and their medal became worthless. -
I know for a fact all the MP5's who placed this HC will not participate in the next one. And to Lifeline... No, complaining is bad. Coming up with solutions is good. But sitting there and crying over what's happened won't ever make anything better. Besides, it gives air to people who want a reason to complain. And you are wrong Lifeline. That is ALL I will say further. And growing up means to stop complaining about EVERYTHING and start finding ways of making things better.
i dont want to make a huge discussion out of this so this will be my last reply to u in this thread. the whole basis of finding ways to make things better is unsatisfication. why would there even be a drive to make anything better if everybody is satisfied? maybe i used the word complain wrong here. ah whatever my point stays what was ment to compensate for something unfair made it even more unfair. the unfair use of alliance and other abuses in this month head contest (what had always happened) of course made the particpants suffer. But their compensation they get for it is way more unfair to ALL players that ever DID or WILL particpate in head contests. -
IBC(In Before Closed) Simply...stop your whining... There are things that nobody but a select few know about, and you, Lifeline, and many others, are not any of them... I know a small amount of it, but even that small amount is incredibly insignificant compared to the whole. So shutup. Quit your whining. Grow up. Life is unfair. Heads is unfair. Manu made his choice. Live with it.
if u mean with 'knowing' a possible bug abuse or anything then it should be clear that no bugs were abused in this headcontest. in the last they were abused and what happened big punishment. this time there is no punishment so there was no bug abuse. game control abuse with the alliance feature yes but that has always been done and is nothing new at all. what does complaining have to do with growing up? it would be a sad world if nobody complains. there can only be improvements if there is complaining about something not being opcimal. if nobody complains one thinks the system is perfect and wont make a change. if he gets complains he might see that there is a better solution and learn from it. nothing changes the fact that headcontest participants have always suffered from the alliance abuse feature and other abuse but this time the current winners somehow got lucky and are priveledge more than any other now. how is that fair to former participants that suffered the same thing? in my point of view there should be another compensation for the winners of this contest. maybe a stat increase or something like that but giving them the option to compete again and win screws everybody who couldnt or didnt participate in this month head contest -
the announcement says that everybody who participated in this head contest expect lightsage and mrv are allowed to win and participate in future headcontest again. so first of all some possible results of that. we have 3 mp3s that gained huge stat boosts and can win again. they can just stay on mp3. with these stats almost no normal mp3 would have any chance at all to win. but that is not all they could stall the whole headcontest forever because of their strenght at mp3. and even force mp4 and mp5 to a desired outcome because they just wouldnt let any mp3 get 5k score otherwise. those 3 mp3s could totally control all coming headcontests in all mindpower levels. next point here we have a mp4 that won gold but has a chance to win again because it suffered from cheating and abusing? how bad can the cheating and abusing be if she won gold medal on mp4? this headcontest wasnt unusual to any previous headcontests before. passing heads in mindpower levels has always been done. the head contest was always stalled because heads were taken away from a mplevel(mostly it was mp5). of course its unfair to do so but that doesnt change the fact that it has always been done. there has even been worse the headcontest where i won i was even movelocked and were threatened to be movelocked for the whole duration if i dont agree not attacking the player that is supposed to win. that was sorted out tho but its just a point to make clear that there has always been bad abuses in the head contest. and now all players who ever won a headcontest in the past get punished along with lightsage and mrv? if u see the announcement as punishment for lightsage and mrv then its a punishment for everybody who won the headcontest in the past as well. the punihsment is that lightsage and mrv cant participate again unlike the other winners in this head contest. but all former winners cant participate as well so they suffer the same fate as lightsage and mrv. if u see it as a second chance for the not cheating participats of this head contests then its more like an almighty gift. they won already and can use their stats and everything they got to win again just because they had the lucky timing to participate in this headcontest and not a former one. they can win 2 medals and stuff. that is no second chance that is worth more than several Wishpoints. just in terms of credits already. 1WP = 5 credits. u get 15credits for placing. so that is already worth 3 wishpoints if u were to trade them at that rate. they participated in a headcontest where abuse was going on but instead of a second chance or anything like that they are granted at least for the mp3 the chance to win gold for sure next time and particpate again. where is the fairness there? i dont want to talk about a better compensation for those who suffered from the abusing in this contest. but as it is now they got the ultimate reward that is out of any balance. i warned about what is possible on mp3 already but to make my point i will quickly say it again: mp3 headcontest winner of this month are now the strongest mp3s around that can collect and take heads in future contest. they placed this time because they already had max grasans and darkarcher lvl3 and stuff. so just with the creature they would mostelikely be able to win again if they wanted to. but thats not all they also got a huge stat reward that will totally crush all other mp3s that didnt win a headcontest. so image the next headcontest: mp3 collect all available heads what is easy with tehse stats and either brings them on a secondary account or just chill in a sanctuary so that he wont get score points. they stall mp3 in a way that no player even reaches 1000score. after a week or so they tell mp4 and mp5 that if this contest is ever going to end player a and b has to win or they wont give the heads on mp3 free and just stall forever. mp4 and mp5 would have to agree because otherwise the contest would never end. so please think about what this new change of events COULD mean for future headcontests.

i am no fan of bragging so all i will do is offer my help, strenght and knowledge. i would be greatly interested in a new adventure. i bring high motivation with me and isnt motivation the key to success xD?
-
no udgard i checked that. it doesnt boost ur own attack skills as well. and even if then there is still the question why the creature boost doesnt work as well
-
ok here now an overview about all the normal crits in the game that u can buy in the crit shops. as i said before the dark archer gets a 100% attack boost. same goes for the loreroot archer. knator gets 100% attack boost too. now it gets interesting the aramor still does normal damage. no boost at all. and the damage from the grasan doesnt really make sense. it does 152 damage to the other grasan that cant be no matter if he got -50% or + 50% anyway see for urself The grasan attack type is haotic damage. This means that he can make a damage between 20% (if I am not mistaken- i need to check the logs for that) and 200%. That's why you cannot see if he receives the bonus or not. (DST) the second battle shows that the creature boost doesnt work as well. so the attack bonus and creature boost doesnt work.
the percenatge stat increase from the bloodpact archer does work!
regeneration and power boost works as well. and one last thing its not just the att stat that gets boosted by 100% no matter what. the power stat of the tree and water guardian also gets boosted by 100%. the hallow warrior however doesnt get that 100% power skill boost. see the third battle report for that FULL LOG: Load Lifeline creatures Load Dummy creatures Applying 0% of Lifeline's energetic influence Applying 0% of Dummy's energetic influence Lifeline's Master Lorerootian Archer does damage to weak creature(s) of Dummy and: - Grasan Huvourer receives 318 damage and remains with 395 vitality Lifeline's Adult Knator does damage to weak creature(s) of Dummy and: - Grasan Huvourer receives 158 damage and remains with 237 vitality Lifeline's Dark Archer II does damage to weak creature(s) of Dummy and: - Grasan Huvourer receives 138 damage and remains with 99 vitality Lifeline's Aramor Assassin does damage to weak creature(s) of Dummy and: - Grasan Huvourer receives 68 damage and remains with 31 vitality Dummy's Grasan Huvourer does haoticdamage to all creature(s) of Lifeline and: - hits haoticaly and does 111 damage to Aramor Assassin and remains with 889 vitality - hits haoticaly and does 139 damage to Grasan Huvourer and remains with 1361 vitality - hits haoticaly and does 134 damage to Master Lorerootian Archer and remains with 2166 vitality - hits haoticaly and does 95 damage to Adult Knator and remains with 1105 vitality - hits haoticaly and does 45 damage to Dark Archer II and remains with 1694 vitality Lifeline's Grasan Huvourer does haoticdamage to all creature(s) of Dummy and: - hits haoticaly and does 152 damage to Grasan Huvourer creature DIES! ###### START ROUND 1 ###### Lifeline's Master Lorerootian Archer cant find any enemy creatures to target, skipping turn ... all my units seem to be boosted anyway. i unloaded all my equipment and have my slider bar at 0% i attack with 6 dark archer II which have 70 att i fight a single grasan on somebody with no equipment and slider bar on 0 as well. my archers do 138 damage... now the grasan has 2 def. so normal damage would be 140 but they have only 70 att so in conclusion they all get 100% attack boost no matter what i use. even if its just 6 archers with no influences at all i noticed the same on other creatures this was just the easiest example.
