if u fight for Marind Bell please keep in mind that there is no chance to ever score anything. it will just be for the fun of participating but MB wont ever get score points after the subtracting. - new players can only pick MB torch because all other lands are closed and will die before even leaving MB giving the opponent points and MB minus points. - from GoE MB has teh quickest way to the capitol so almost everybody choses to score in MB. plus loreroot people can even come from the back. first one is what gets us all the minus point. because newer people just pick up a torch not really knowing what it is and end up just giving the opponent who scores in MB (because newer guy gets killed within MB) a kill. giving opponent +1 and MB -1

i like the best progressor. of course its open to intergretation but not that much in my opinion. stuff like best spell caster would be much harder to decide for me for example

I appoligize because i have to cancel the event . my adept count went down by 5 over the night and i have only 28 left right now so no mp6. i havent recruited adepts since 2 month and it looks like i am slowly running out. i am sorry. expect today i got no time for such an event this week. i might do it another time

as most of u know i have been mp6 and protector for almost half a year. i dropped from mp6 because with kingship and several other issues keeping me busy i have no time to ensure my stay on mp6 anymore. but before i drop for good i want to have a decent mp6 goodbye. on thursday this week i will go shortly back to mp6 and will be in the marble dale park in Marind Bell and offer healing. its not supposed to be anything big i just want a final event that symbolizes for me the finishing of a period (mp6 in this case) and the beginning of something new. so come to the sparring grounds on thursday if u need some healing, VE to upgrade crits, or whatever else. as always i will cast protheal with the max 4k on everybody who asks me until my 20 charges are finished. if huge amounts of VE are needed i will also cast give vital until all my charges are finished. u are free to abuse this so if u want to upgrade angiens and normally dont have enough VE or whatever use this chance. a happy goodbye to mp6 PS: no specific time its all day until i have no more charges.

i see, a head contest with almost no participation is preferred to one that is alive. of course new players wouldnt stand a chance in the first months on mp5. but they can just wait and participate after all the vets killed eachother. the current head contest is a shadow of what it once was. i loved the high competition a year ago it was what made the head contest fun. there is no spirit or challenge in the head contest anymore at all. its all about waiting until the month where the least people care to bother about it. u ask around a few days before the head contest starts who wants to win and then u can already decided ok i get my gold medal next month after agreeing who wins in which month. why should the head contest be something that every player just being a few weeks on his MPlevel can win? after half a year the vets will have won and not be able to participate and until then new players had plenty of chance to build up their forces to compete. i dont understand why it needs to get lowered to a level where everybody can easly win without much commitment. make it respected again and a goal that is worth reaching. a goal that is worth training for. a goal that makes u feel like u accomplished something. and not something on ur to do list that gets done when all the competition is out. its a competition so make it a competition again. the rules and all are fine its just the participation that is lagging. a year ago people were proud when they managed to get a silver medal in the head contest. now people get silver medals without even trying and just idling in some remote location. is it not also more fun and interesting for new players if there is a real challenge in the game? something that only the best can win? i get motivation when i see a goal that is really hard to reach and dont even take anything else serious that can be won by not being 100% committed.

I just read the announcement about the changes in the head contest and got an awesome idea. But let me first briefly explain the situation: Several things have changed – the two most important ones being a much faster distribution of the heads and stage2 lasting twice as long. Every player gets a lot more heads now what leads to stage1 getting finished much quicker than ever before even if 8k score is needed now. Stage2 however is twice as long. In the current head contest the second stage is even longer than the first and in the future they will probably be equally long in average. This is a huge change because in the past stage2 changed nothing at all and everybody just retired. So here my new idea: Allow everybody to participate again and win once again. For the last several months the head contest was dull. Nobody in mp5 participated and mp3 was full of alts. If everybody is allowed to participate again including all the vets there would be much more action and the head contest would be alive again for a long time. I remember ideas about a veteran head contest only which wouldn’t even be necessary anymore if anybody could participate and win again. I am certain it would bring much more life back into MD and a new purpose for a lot of players and new motivations for all those who are interested in competition and combat.

why do u ask for a either or? creatures, stats, batlle knowledge all go together. they arent seperate. if u lag one of those 3 u cant be under the top fighters in gerneral. u are maybe the top fighter in ur category but overall u arent. that either or doesnt make sense to me. and i could ask the same question for roleplay how do u decide who is the best roleplayer? by the number of blue lines he writes?, by how good his writing fits his character?, by how popular he is?, how funny and witty his roleplay is? people will always decide differently and none of these categories are black or white.

last time we had best roleplayer and best pwr which are both purely roleplay and best rpc had a lot to do with roleplay as well. so how about adding the counterpart this time? we got roleplayers and fighters in MD. those are pretty much the 2 biggest main categories. so how about a strongest fighter? or well i know that stat grinders arent liked but its a huge part of MD so there could also be a most excessive grinder or something like that. cant think of any more the old categories are good and mostly still fitting

i dont see why just remove the pwr but keep rpc. there are much more pwr than there were ever rpcs.

i think there should definitely be awards again similar to those from last year

best post since months! i am currently writing myself a story about the "lost face of Marind Bell" of all what it meant to me in the past, what it symbolised to me how it draw me in and got me so damn attracted. i have lost that feeling for a very long time. just the recent land opening because of the kingship made me remember. i had MB access only on mp3 which i was for 2 weeks then never again because i never started my storyline on mp5. all my alts didnt as well because i wanted to keep MB mysterious for me. now that i can walk all of MB i remember the feeling and passion i had for the land when i joined the game. i see the "old" scenes like passage of war and champ dome and all those treasured memories flow back into my head. my motivation is higher than before after remembering what MB was like in the past. that is why i am writing that story at the moment because i am hoping to awake enthusiasm in other people again. ancient lore doesnt matter in here there is still tons of stuff around that can be discovered that wont loose it validity. an imense part of that was lost indeed but its mostly still there at least concerning understanding matters of the realm its just unnoticed. i am hoping especially for inner magic to get a more defining factor of the game again. Liberty is correct however the game changed a lot and lost huge parts of its old face and character. the game mechanics and current roleplay and stuff can keep players going for a long period of time but i agree with Lib that what binds people most to the game keeps fading away. at least that is how i understand the recent drop in commitment and loyality of new players to the game. i might be badly wrong and the type of players, who stays in MD because of reasons Lib mentioned, might be a minority. i wanted to keep SoE what it used to be but nobody is even applying anymore. all old players who still witnessed the old days found a spot already or never cared about that aspect of the game anyway and new ones dont even notice it. so i had to restructure SoE it cant represent anymore what Lib discribed above while keeping a healty number of members. i remember topics on forums where AL, inner magic and many other things got discussed by the average player. stuff that really represented the game was moving people and noticed by forum members. these days its hidden in the mist and very few ever see that part of the game.

what do u want to do about it? its way outside anybodys radius of control what other people think. there will always be people who hate others for some reasons. just move on and stay unaffected. what about an example of somebody whose whole familly got killed by some stoned teenager and now he discriminates everybody who takes drugs... it would be understandable.

Citizens of Marind Bell will be part of a friendly community. It will help you grow in any ways possible, from combat related advice (info about crits, strategy, rituals, help with exp, wins, losses, ect), to knowledge lessons(learning about many aspects of MD, sharing opinions, opportunities to do research as a team or alone, ect). Citizen will also have the opportunity to create quests rewarded with wishpoints sponsored by the king. Any quality events made by roleplayers will be rewarded and creative thinking will always be encouraged. yes! first double post awesome

Again no need to wait for a king account. if you are not a quest creator stop reading here this doesnt concern you. but all quest creators or those wanting to make quests in the future listen carefully. i have 100 wishpoint reward codes. i will use part of those wishpoints for quest creators WITHIN MARIND BELL. if you have a really good quest i will award you with one wishpoint and also give you wishpoint reward codes to reward the questers with them. YOU will get to reward the questers and not me. the wishpoint will come from your account and with that help you build your reputation as a quest creator and eventually enable you to buy the quest document. there is only one rule. you must be from Marind Bell. you must be affiliated with the land and view yourself as citizen of Marind Bell. so take the citizenship applications seriously. if you are an awesome quest creator but remain neutral and dont apply for citizenship you will not get any wishpoint codes no matter what. for the time being i will evalute your quest and judge them worthy of a wishpoint and reward codes or not. so first get the citizenship application done (my unofficial one not the unimplemented feature in the right panel) and then pm me with your quest

since the MB election finished more than a week already passed. i have been waiting for the citizenship feature to start all the plans i had. i realized that waiting will do no good and that i already have everything needed to decide who is citizen of Marind Bell. i dont have to wait for a new feature to start this so i will do it with what i have right now: everybody who considers him/herself citizen of Marind Bell please send me a pm ingame (i will be at the marble dale park) or on forums. give me a few reasons why u feel Marind Bell is ur homeland, what it means to u, why u want to become citizen of it, and anything else u can think of that could be needed for a future citizen. i will read the pms and evaluate them. i will then post an UNOFFICIAL list of Marind Bell citizen in my alliance papers. since the not implemented feature wasnt used this isnt forcing u to anything. if citizenship will involve anything u dont like later on when the feature gets implemented u are free not to apply and not be a citizen. so again this is UNOFFICIAL and once the citizenship gets implemented u have to apply again to certify the process(just telling me u were accepted earlier will be enough then). only when u use the real feature u will be bound to the citizenship. everybody who ever wants to be recruited into one of the Marind Bell alliances will naturally have to be a citizen. Marind Bell is not for mercenaries. so if u are interested in joining one of the alliance see this as a first step.

just 2 days ago i was editing my notebook in MD and after i clicked save only the new text remained. everything else was gone. even stuff in different section. i lost my complete notebook as well

i sadly didnt had time to rehost the challenge. i would have loved to but i am to busy lately. since i cant divide the sharpening stone by 2 i gave both Phantom Orchid and Death Ray 10 silver coins each. i will probably rehost a similar challenge after xmas hope to see much more participants then!
