6. Recently I had a chat with someone about the balance principle. For me I believe it is as important and probably more significant than the power of three. Most philosophies / religions encompass this idea (Ying yang, Heaven and hell, Karma, The wheel of fortune etc. ) The way I see it that in order for things to function at their best , you need to have the two sides of a coin. Take a plant for example. It needs darkness as well as sunlight in order to live optimally. Granted some plants need more light/shade than others, but they need a balance of both to survive, however bear in mind that in order for things to progress there has to be an unbalance. I think Balance is a "foundation block" in MD, which is why we are rewarded when we are in balance(wins and losses wise), so Im not at all surprised that you found an Angien at the howling gates; for me it goes back to Yin and yang. Which makes me wonder, Where is the other half to this? What balances the Angien at the Howling gates.......? Or is it the unbalance that leads to progression? hmmmmm........ :-?

 16.
this system could work ~~~~if the land had some kind of structure~~~~ which it doesn't. You just preserve state of nothingness by this. you basically have nothing going on, and you make a set of rules that ban people of doing something, without going through the whole process of stalking people and poking them for weeks to think about something (pray to the gods that someone will actually read your PM in a period of a week.) and with this you make the Loreroot picture of the few (those who actually have some power to make decisions, who decide not to move their bottoms for something that isn't that "cool" in their eyes) Since you Firsanthalas are a big fan of examples in RL, I'll make one for you. Nomad people wonder and wonder for ages. They stumble on grasslands after years of wondering in deserts. They found out they have neighbours in the lands around. They need to make something unique so they can be known for who they are. Naturally people would gather up and discuss what would be their goals, plans, and structure of the land, what to do, what are the needs of the people etc. You don't have someone stepping up and saying, "ok, I take control of this land now. If you want to do anything except taking water and food, you'll have to ask person X to approve it, who will bring the issue to person Y who will tell it to me, and I'll think about can it be done." by doing so you eliminate making of a land culture. You can "lock" the things by that structure ~~~IF~~~ you have a system to start with, that functions so and so, which Loreroot doesn't and if I am wrong about this, then tell me what is the system of Loreroot, how do the people work together in prospering their land?
Seriously Rhaegar. Grow up! your whining and bitching is getting hella annoying!!! Your Nomad story is flawed if you were hoping to compare it MD. 1) You are forgetting Firs didnt stand up and make himself king, he was elected in the same elections you were vying for 2) As king he is expected to show his rulership via...wait for it...A SET OF RULES!!! 3) you are no longer a LR citizen, so how does this concern you again?

 18.
That's your opinion cause you have a special relationship with him. But from the outside the things look a bit different. Until proven otherwise I will stand for my opinion. Anyway, I wanted to ask something today but I forgot:should limits be set to what you can do RP wise+game mechs in case something similar happens? Or at least some let's say negative measures for the ones that use such tactics? Or...are there consequences for such actions? Do I make sense? Cause I am trying my best right now...
Why didnt anyone answer Dst's question? and less importantly why did she get neg repped for it? it seems like she was asking a reasonable question. If this had to happen again would there be any consequences? Should there be consequences for such actions?
 19.
What you seem to be suggesting is that we of the community, when doing anything, must ask anybody who will be affected by the action before acting. Examples: Before killing someone, you must make sure they know something is happening. Before tying them down, make sure to say *tries to tie down personx*. I agree that in the case of something "imaginary" (lacking in-game support) it is necessary and polite to make sure that all parties in an action are in agreement. If I were to cast a spell I didn't have on somebody, I would make sure that they were going to play along before I did it. In the case of a game mechanic, such as spells, items, etc, I think it is perfectly acceptable for someone to act without the permission of another. We jail people without asking them whether they want to be jailed, and I think it's fine to kill them without asking as well. If the game gives you the power to do something then everybody else has to abide by that. The only set of rules we ALL have to obey are the ones that are hard coded. The social rules, which is the majority of roleplay, are best left to group consensus. I've been criticized before for casting a GoE spell on someone without asking, and people have called me rude for doing so. It is within my power, and so I feel no guilt, and so perhaps I am deserving of their criticism. However, I still hold that if someone is given the power to enforce their actions, it is not in poor "manners" to act on their desires without asking. That is what this conversation boils down to: what is the proper etiquette of roleplaying? In my case, I do not think casting spells without asking is rude. I do think that using asterisks to perform actions that are not hardcoded is rude. That is a line I draw, though I can see how you would draw a vastly different line. I will maintain my belief, whether or not it is considered rude. Awi
( Im in a bit of a warzone at the moment so Im gonna make this quick) Casting spells is a bit different to killing. Casting spells changes a persons game play for a few minutes which spice things up a bit. Killing someone changes gameplay for days. That at least requires someones consent. Which was my whole point, but unfortunately it was taken the personally/wrong way. It not coddling to say: "hey listen we're doing and RP which is gonna kill you and put you off game for a few days. Would that be alright?" Assumption was made that Mya would just be ok with it - which lucky for you she was (or perhaps it was intended that way), had she demanded to be brought back to life, the RP would have been screwed. I appreciate that creativity had been made and that the RP was successful. But I dont think a trend should be set where others can go around killing people just because it happened in Tarq's RP and Mya was ok with it.

 24.
Have you ever fought me? Or even read any of my posts in this topic? I've stated many times that yes, I have used GGG, but I've never had the patience to use it much. I used it much more with MRPip than I did with Pipstickz. MRPip rarely comes out anymore. And this is all ignoring the fact that your statement about me would only apply if I had used the GGG to actually get stronger in a way I didn't/couldn't get outside of it. As Chewett has said, 1000 stats is low, and how many of my stats are at or above 1000? None. Do I have a bunch of VE? No, I only have about 40k, most of which was gotten from story mode and heads contest.
I have Pip. My point remains, whether you used it as Pipstickz or MRpip you still benefited from it, and then to vie for its closure is wrong. For assuming that you gained all your stats from GGG I apologise. Its an excellent place to train if you are weak, or blundered by saccing the incorrect crit but I feel it needs more moderation, and firmer rules if it is to remain the training ground that it is now.
