  1. I'm working on it as I can, promise!
  2. I catch the occasional glimpse of Zleiph, and Ailith, but I don't move much with the viscosity. That was an interesting thing to come back to ;)
  3. Aye, it's a little odd too, but "surpass the one" just seemed like it needed something to show what "the one" was. Like I said, just me and my 2 cents about it.
  4. "The authority bestowed by this title can not surpass the superiority of the issuing authority at the time this document was signed. Once awarded, this title can not be voided, but its applicability within MagicDuel realm may vary based on other subsequent updates to the awarded role or organizational changes" Changed his to this also, i'm thinking that "can not surpass the one" should be changed to "can not surpass the superiority" or something along those lines to make it flow better. Just me though.
  5. However you decide works for me. It was an interesting thing to try to do, but after several packs... well, i kinda gave up :( Guess I'm just better at sharpening garden tools than knives.
  6. i found that one. the fish and the book are eluding me....

  8. I'll give it a shot as well, if you've need for one more. - Intrigue - There are a few in the seedwalk logs. I suppose I could come up with something though if you needed. - I think this quest is a good idea, and I like story stuffs whether somebody else's, or my own. *I have absolutely zero interest in being Magicduel's next top model, do not include me in this section for voting.
  9. Updated attempts, this time slowly instead of hacking at it. Just to reiterate the last post i made, this is probably NOT what you had in mind when you said a slow cut since the cigg is not stationary at all, and if so, no worries. Thought I'd just throw it out there anyway just in case it would work as well. First vid is kind of slow at an angle and then the other way I tried to do it from the other day. Neither cut is clean (both have tears). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5soNJUiHzQ Second vid is another slow with having the cigg spin across the blade, cut was clean so far as the paper, but it looks like the blade didn't reach deep enough to cut the tobacco fully. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJ_laLRHmbg And, the last one was the same technique, with more force, which just resulted in bending the cigg right past the filter, and still didn't cut through the tobacco (big twig right there instead of a leaf). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaRe4Z44UVQ In case this is in fact very wrong, I'm going to keep trying to do the slow angle thing, since i got most of the way through, but the very last part is so tricky! I get down to maybe 3 mm of paper left, and it tears every time :(
  10. You saw correctly, the last bit of mine tore on the first one, and the second two started tearing at halfway. I figured out a way to cut slow, but I wasn't sure if it counted as "One motion" or not. Will do it again tomorrow and upload. It's probably not what you had in mind at all, but it was the only way I could make it work with a kitchen knife. So far as them being already sharpened, the first had been previously sharpened, and used as well, so I put a bit of an edge back on the Kiwi with a stone and the strop (probably not more than half an hour worth of effort since it wasn't very dull), but the others were just as they were when I bought them and after a little bit of use (probably not enough to make a difference really).
  11. I have learned... It's hard to come back to something you really enjoyed but left long ago, BUT... it's so easy to slip back into the old groove that made it enjoyable :)
  12. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4WrbUjRSYA&feature=youtu.be Well, here we go. Tried a good Kiwi kitchen knife (the favorite in my knife drawer), a smaller Korean knife, and a big ol' monster of a knife (some Chinese brand i'm not familiar with from the asian grocer). Nearly got it with the Kiwi, so I'm going to try to finish out the edge a bit more, or improve my technique, one of the two.
  13. RP- Roleplaying.... typing out actions and such (like in game)
  14. When I can, and as I can, I make runs along the new-player path. Granted, it's not the whole of it, but I like to think it helps.
  15. Just be inside the MDA gates (awiiya's way) at the time Roph's posts in the mood panel.
  16. oh! Great work Azull! I hadnt tried it fast either, and going slow just caused lots of tearing after halfway. I'll have to try it your way... and with the pliers too, I like all my fingers where they are :)
  17. work is wearing me out this week so i've not had time to touch this again yet, but i'm gonna see what I can do this weekend. I'll post another update in a couple days after I've had time to work at it a bit more and recuperate.
  18. Well, my first attempt (the way I sharpen my shears and such) wasn't half bad, but far from good enough. Guess I'll be puzzling over this for a few more days, and trying out some different ways to get it just right.
  19. I'm going to try this. I've got a set of fine files I use for my gardening stuff, and a leather strop, but putting that much of an edge on something isn't something I've tried yet. Will update sometime tomorrow after work. *edit: I can't spell simple words today.
  20. Congrats! That sounds like an awesome opportunity! And, although we've had our differences, you'll be missed :)
  21. Hmm. good question. In a way, yes, it does help me to be more creative, but, it's more-so in the sense that it focuses my creativity instead of letting to bounce around here and there. I'm always putting my hand to something (writing, drawing, painting, etc) and often, i have a half-dozen or so unfinished projects waiting on me to bounce my way back around to them. While in MD though, I have to focus those energies in one direction (rp/character specifics and basically, the literary side of my creative nature). A good current example is this: Others who've gone on the seed-walks with me know that from time to time, I have really good stories and poems, and other times... meh, I shouldn't have really even tried to tell a tale. I think there's a definite correlation between where I already spent all my creativity that day and how much of my imagination is left by the time I get around to making up a story on the spot.
  22. Just now saw that Azull hit the 500 mark, here's my meager update: Volition: 100 (100.94) no grinding
