Memories born, living, dying and born anew by those who remember against forgetting. They are fluid. For them to become solid requires a purity of identity. They are a muscle, soft tissue capable of becoming dense by contraction and relaxation. The intensity of experience, its charge, its emotional frequency plays too into its solidity of presence. On becoming solid they acquire the ability to dance - as the wind - throughout Time. But most memories are ever changing, their fluidity spilling out and over and at times becoming lost in static. And this is an advantage, for who wants to (even if they were able) to remember irrelevant details? It would too easily make one overwhelmed without a cycle of beginning meets middle meets end meets beginning. 6. I have a level 2 Pimped Grasan who I named 'Farting Pimp' (as per announcement). It had been two days, and I had Wiiya's in my inventory, and he still wasn't 'productive.' It seems like this isn't fixed yet, but perhaps my grasan is lazy...

9. Unfortunately I was unable to attend, but I am pleased that it was such a success!
10. This ceremony was an attempt to honor those who came before, those remaining, and those that shall come. It was also intended to create space for a collective exploration of the principles of cyclicity, and a space for sharing. Usually there is a base of respect shown (or at least assumed) during collective occasions, but in this case there was not and the lack of it disallowed inclusiveness and there was a truly effective (albeit temporary) silencing. But we will not be silenced, for gross imbalance only begs to be tipped back into its proper place. It never will learn to bend, so it will not carry very far before it shall break under its own weight. And this is only the beginning of a hopefully larger conversation - a spark, if you will. A spark of hope, of mystery, of understanding. For those who wish to continue this dialogue, the Eclipse is available to assist.
11. In my view, the tools given to the kings were now, in general, made easily available for the benefit of the lands. With some imagination and initiative, things like WP codes could have been incorporated into sponsoring quests made by citizens and used as a 'rallying call' to spark interest. Instead, at least in my experience and seeing that of some other quest makers, the onus was on quest makers to ask/beg for sponsorship, instead of announcements by kings saying "hey, I have these WP codes available if you can make a decent quest."
12. Firsanthalas, It was an honor to have you as king. Thank you. @Peace: It does, doesn't it? The CoE will be hosting a cyclicity ceremony to honor of the queen/kings who have stepped down. Details to be announced.

15. How ever will one discover how far s/he may journey, unless one dares to travel past the setting sun?

16. I thought I saw in red letters at beginning of 'fight for weaken' battle words that mentioned something about heat use. Has anyone noticed if heat plays a role in this?
17. Axel Keravnos was the winner for this little obscure halloween quest tucked in the shadow of the showy festivities. He won by chasing his dreams and facing his demons... and lived to tell. Rewarded with an undisclosed and rare gift.
18. xrieg, I have been playing MD for almost 3 years now, and I have to say that I do not agree with one thing that you say in your post. That might be your experience, but it is not mine - and I do not appreciate you making blanket statements about MD like that because by doing that you are speaking for others who may or may not share that same experience. And a million gold coins of free advice ... do not push a demi-god into a corner by telling him to 'make up his mind.' He will bite. Hard. Really, what it all comes down to is the question we must ask ourselves - what are *we* doing/can do to make things better? The realm spins because of its inhabitants. It only stops for those blinded for lack of imagination.

21. Thank you for writing that Tarq. I have seen this happen over and over again, and am definitely guilty of falling into this trap myself, where in-game conflicts are leaked out into out-of-realm (ie forum, YIM) issues. As you have alluded to from time and time again - conflict is necessary for growing, making mistakes, learning, collaborating with friends and conspiring against foes. But when we do not allow our characters to play out potentially awesome roleplay/combat potentials, and instead choose to cast them aside in favor of handling them from an outside perspective (out of character), we forfeit the uniqueness of our characters which many of us have worked so hard to build and whose identities were not created for or intended to involve anything 'outside the box.' When we moan (to use the word of the week) about in-game things on the forums, we rob our characters identity from having to deal with these things and things become static (aka dead). We rob ourselves of balance. We rob ourselves of imagination.
22. Happy sailing. Perhaps the wind will shift and return you to us someday. I hope so.
