(Effectively this is just between Fyrd Argentus and Else since I doubt Chewett is going to ask for a reward, and I'm not going to message myself. But hey, Chewett might want a rare creature so I'm not going to exclude him! Sorry Ledah/Valoryn, you didn't manage to score any points in voting) -
As well as the above, anyone who wasn't able to make the event is now welcome to post their own entries to this thread.
And.... no, the challenge for the Boning Knife is not still open. I'll be keeping this for now.

[25/04/22 14:09] Fyrd Argentus:I loved this aspect of MD (and still do) . I put riddles on my personal page and set quests and races on the forum.
[25/04/22 14:09] Fyrd Argentus:Not having the ability to write on clickies, I tried to get people to stand at certain places at certain times to guide races and pass clues.
[25/04/22 14:10] Fyrd Argentus:I invented the concept of "pickle points" to keep track of who won what - this was before viscosity and ap boosting consumables.
[25/04/22 14:10] Fyrd Argentus:I was able to get so much stuff going on, I had to make a spreadsheet to keep track of it all.
[25/04/22 14:11] Fyrd Argentus:I had about 120 people participating, and 30 different ways they could get pickles.
[25/04/22 14:12] Fyrd Argentus:I had a "tiered" system going that let them get better and better prizes traded for larger number of pickle points. Sort of like collecting green stamps and buying from the catalog.

[25/04/22 14:14] Fyrd Argentus:I think I had my "bottle of vinegar" long before Mur invented "spicy pickles" and gave me my pickle jar to produce them.

[25/04/22 12:49] Valoryn:Sword in one hand, tea cup on the other, it didn't take lolgn for disaster to happen.
[25/04/22 12:49] Valoryn:I dropped the china cup I was holding and it shattered to pieces.
[25/04/22 12:50] Valoryn:In panic mode, I rushed to the basement to search for a wooden cup instead and brew more tea.

[25/04/22 12:51] Valoryn:To keep things short, I managed to survive the sparring without any further accidents.
[25/04/22 12:51] Valoryn:However, arguments about GotR and how it had been gone kept coming and going.
[25/04/22 12:52] Valoryn:When I finally managed to find some time to relax, I opened my backpack and there I found three things.

[25/04/22 12:07] Chewett:That was where I then became an honorary archives member, where Ren and my paths diverged.
[25/04/22 12:07] Chewett:We both worked on attaining SoE, however he went into the dusty archives (less dusty then) to continue his research, and I continued mine in SoE.
[25/04/22 12:08] Chewett:My takeaway from the rambling here is, treasure the present, you don't know how long it might last.

[25/04/22 11:48] Else:One day I was wandering around MDA and found a group of players in the Golden Globe Gazebo Interior
[25/04/22 11:48] Else:better known as the GGG or the MR Training Grounds,
[25/04/22 11:48] Else:back then I did not know about its rules so I proceeded to attack them for some wins.
[25/04/22 11:48] Else:After a while they invited me to train with them and explained the GGG rules to me.
[25/04/22 11:49] Else:The few names I can remember are Asterdai, Buster, Spartiatis and Manda.
[25/04/22 11:49] Else:I was getting along with them as we kept training,
[25/04/22 11:49] Else:even one day Asterdai offered me an angien egg for one silver coin,
[25/04/22 11:49] Else:after I told him I had none,

[25/04/22 12:07] Chewett:We both worked on attaining SoE, however he went into the dusty archives (less dusty then) to continue his research, and I continued mine in SoE.

[25/04/22 14:10] Fyrd Argentus:I was able to get so much stuff going on, I had to make a spreadsheet to keep track of it all.
[25/04/22 14:11] Fyrd Argentus:I had about 120 people participating, and 30 different ways they could get pickles.
[25/04/22 14:12] Fyrd Argentus:I had a "tiered" system going that let them get better and better prizes traded for larger number of pickle points. Sort of like collecting green stamps and buying from the catalog.

On the 12th day of the Anniversary I will be hosting the Revived Memories event at the Great Hall of the Sun, from 11:30 to 15:00 game time.
Players will be invited to share their fondest memories of their time in the realm. Understanding people have other commitments and can't be on MD all the time, you can ask a proxy to recount your story.At the conclusion of the event the log will be taken and posted in this thread. Individual stories will be posted as separate replies to this topic and the community will be invited to vote on which stories they feel are the best (Only upvotes will be counted). At the end of Day 15 the votes will be counted and recorded.
On top of any prizes provided to participants as an Anniversary event, I will personally be providing a 6th Anniversary Aramor and a 9th Anniversary Aramor, and if there are a sufficient number of high quality stories this may expand upto at maximum three 6th Anniversary Aramours and two 9th Anniversary Aramours.
Users with the highest voted stories will be allowed to chose which type of Aramor they would like, starting with the highest voted and descending until I run out of Aramors I'm willing to part with. -
I'd personally like to see an extra option in the sacrifice menu that instead of gaining stats you could forgo whatever that stat gain would have been for the stat multiplier to instead be applied to the heat loss value.
Manages the cost and reduction rate in one go.
I also wouldn't let MP3 access it.

Hello People and Denizens of MagicDuel.
It has been an interesting three years as one of the two leaders of the MagicDuel Archive Land. A lot had happened since 2014 within the realm, and I am glad to have been a part of it all - the expansion of existing lands and introduction of the A2050 tools, the arrival of many brand new inhabitants as well as older ones returning to build new legends, and the many, many quests and festivals that we see each year.
While some periods in MagicDuel's history have been fraught with controversy, I have been happy to see the last few years lack such antics, although it is a shame that this may be due in a large part to the reduced number of new arrivals in the realm to bring fresh ideas, as well as the departure of some of our more... I shall say passionate players from being regularly active.
In the last few years I have worked hard with darkraptor and many others to try and revive aspects of the MagicDuel Archive's as well as the broader realm. Both Aethon and Chewett have worked to revive the external MD Archive website, and it has been good to see new content on there. I have worked with a small team to revive the MD Paper, which unfortunately while we have most of the raw content due to significant delays at the start none of us have been able to find the time to finish editing. With many of your assistance we even managed to increase the ranks of the Archivist Alliance itself and begin laying the groundwork to reintroduce the Legend Speakers alliance, although again unfortunately enthusiasm for this has waned as other projects have arisen.
Outside of our land, there has been much activity with exciting new resources and creatures being introduced, the total revamping of Necrovion, death, and other staples of the MD world, the attempts to revive the Torch Contest and create a new format for that contest, and even just today the opening of a brand new land! As excited as I am and have been by all these developments, I find myself now an observer, not a participant.
My time in MD has, after nine long years, finally come to it's end. I do not mean that I will not be in the realm, as I intend to visit, and visit often, but I will be an observer, not an active participant. While I may help those who come to me for assistance with projects like writing stories for quests, no longer will I be running, organizing, or participating in such quests and events. The other realm calls to me too loud and too often. I've just received a promotion at work, my wife and I are starting up a business of our own on top of my existing work, and we are expecting a baby in July. So I think you can all appreciate that the next few years - and hell, the rest of my life even once things do settle down - is going to be a lot less focused on this realm.
As such, and as discussed a few months ago with darkraptor and Chewett, I hearby abdicate from my position as Chancellor and MDA Land Leader. I wish you all the best of luck in the new year, and I look forward to having new and unexpected things to see each time I come to visit. Who knows - In a few years I may just return again to introduce a fresh mind to MD.

In what seems to be becoming a tradition, for the third year running we will be running a Team Trivia event.
This year the event will be run slightly differently. Normally, the teams have taken turns answering questions - this year both teams will be given the same question and the first to reach the right answer will win. There will be three rounds of ten questions, which based on past experience means it will probably take an hour and a half to run.
The event will be in the Index Room of Memories in the MagicDuel Archives, and will begin after 01:00ST on the 24th as soon as we have at least 6 players (minimum 3 to a team). Late arrivals will be accepted into teams, although it will limit how much of a personal score you can achieve.
There will be two prize pools - The winning team, and the best team members.
- The winning team will receive 10 silver coins each.
- The player with the highest personal score will receive a Soul Weaver
- The player with the second highest personal score will receive a Bloodpact Heretic Archer
- The person with the third highest personal score will receive a Pimped Grasan

Results:
- Ivorak came first with 14 points after a tie breaker, and received a SW creature as well as 10 silver.
- Syrian came second, narrowly missing first int he tie breaker with 13 points, and received a BP creature as well as 10 silver.
- Shammus came third on 3 points, sadly they had to leave early. They received a PG creature as well as 10 silver.
- MRF was the last to arrive and only scored 2 points, earning them 10 silver.
