[/quote] The point of filling up the page with even special rules is to prevent innocent victims and honest mistakes. You admit yourself there are a lot of rules that never apply to anybody but yet exists, if perhaps one day a person breaks one of these rules without being able to be fully aware of the rule, I would say that would lead to an unjust punishment if a punishment is decided. In regards to this point however, I specifically noted that rules should be set and not sought, this does not; in turn, mean that it is needed on the rules page, if a rule exists, then it should be somewhere relatively available rather than have the community ask for its existence. In my opinion, we should not neglect the small minority as they still are part of this community, especially when some of these special rules can be easily written down; it does seem like an accomplish-able task. With that said though, I will agree that not all rules can be noted. I can honestly say that if the rules page was layered out better and had a bit more information then perhaps some of the past incidents would not have occured (A striking example of this would be incident revolving King Yrith and Mighty Pirate). [/quote] I apologise, by Atrumist's end comments I thought he asked for the motive of our post rather than the outcome. We have messaged the council to restore my friend's account completely to its former status (which means to MP2) and to send it back to GG where it is supposedly meant to be (Or alternatively the GoE if they decide otherwise), we are currently awaiting their response. We both understand that this may in the be end impossible but we are still trying. [Below is my own personal thought/rant, take this as how you will] The inconsistencies between the rules that everyone has mentioned and Manu's own personal idea frightens me. On the one hand it is said by almost everyone that MP2s are only allowed in GG whilst on the other Manu claims that they are all to be locked. Not only that, but these two variations are also both not somewhere publically nor commonly available (although my sense of being public and common is through the rules page, announcements and through the search of the forums). I honestly feel like I am beginning to understand Firs little insight of what MD has become. In my honest opinion however, the rules should be set out rather than sought out, especially when they are simple enough to written with just a lines words or sentences. (This is of course not to say that some all rules should be set out)

I would like to personally thank BFH for his entertaining Christmas events, some were unusual, most were unfair but all were fun. Thank you again BFH for giving us a Christmas to remember. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the MD community itself. Christmas is a time to be shared and enjoyed and without the community, there would have been nobody to cherish this special day with. Thank you everyone.

Her attempts were followed by a refusal of the LHOs teleporting her (whether it be to GG or the GoE) and later when asked about the rule regarding it, they would often not clarify. (she notes to me in particular that when she asked why she was teleported off GG the first time, she got NO ANSWERS which added to the confusion of whether the rule actually exists or not.)

I have been told that there never were any PMs, the only message in her message box was by Kyphis and the reason for this was because she had befriended him while borrowing my account for a few days. Are you sure that this is the same MP2 Chewett? The messages were never received. Other than that, she has no power to enter back to GG once exiled. She lacks the connections for other people to send her back, she does not have enough AP to venture through MDA and she has no access to the main gates as she cannot walk down from the GoE. Adding up with this, the only few times that she was sent back into GG, she was also immediately removed and placed back into the GoE.

I am not blaming you nor anyone else, what I am noting is two things: First, there are NO RULES AVAILABLE based on why MP2s should not be allowed to roam freely, if there are no rules surrounding this then why on earth should my friend be punished? Second: The teleportations were done by an ANONYMOUS PERSON, neither my friend nor anyone else knows who teleported her on and off GG. [/list] And as for your remaining queries or comments that I can clarify; dst: I've made clear on other separate posts that I live in a college, there are people who of course unfortunately share the computer with me and therefore the alt restriction applies. We have not engaged in any alt abuse and this has nothing to do with my own account so I don't think this is necessarily relevant. If it is tough luck how this has come to this then we're willing to fight out this injustice. EDIT: Chewett and Burns, surprisingly you two made me laugh!

Funny how "randomly appearing at GoE" is actually the honest truth, my friend had to deal with waking up being teleported everywhere but it did happen. (Unfortunately it is unknown who did it, perhaps dst may have more of a clue?) We shall ask advice from the council first and if that fails, inquire Mur himself. I don't believe she has done anything wrong by just "existing" and nor do I think she should be banned or punished by the actions of another.

I'm not sure if that was the issue but she did not want to move to MP3 rather she much enjoyed playing with illusions. The reason for her ban seems questionable based on the events she endured in my opinion. (That is if there even is such a rule that MP2s are unable to roam around the realm by which I have found none so far.)

BFH, Grido, ShadowSeeker, Chewy and Fyrd, although this event may have been unfair (or at least through our perspective), this can honestly wait, due to a public portal from yesterday to the GoE, she is currently out of Jail and enjoying Christmas with everyone. Hello there everyone! Unfortunately, an issue has arose between someone with Jail powers and one of my friends, they do not access the forum so hence I will speak on behalf of them. However, following a topic started by pathos a while back, most of the community decided to hold off any problems and negativity until after the new year so I would like to ask the community whether they would like to preferably know about the issue now or perhaps save it till the new year? EDIT TO INCLUDE DETAILS: I'll leave this in dot points to make it more easily readable, this concerns my friend's MP2 account: Sylv Arculis[list] [*]My friend created an MP2 account a long time ago. [*]If I recall correctly she was one of the lucky ones to create one during the second phase meaning she was allowed to roam the main island (that is off GG) [*]After taking a long break, she started playing again 3 months ago. [*]Almost within a week of her playing, she was sent to GG a first time. [*]She was told that MP2s were not allowed to leave GG (although she has never been) [*]I checked on the rules and the forums and asked a few LHOs for her but had no luck finding out if this was true nor why. [*]After some time, she logged in one day and she was in the GoE. (Randomly teleported) [*]She was later sent to GG a second time. (Randomly teleported) [*]This time she asked the LHOs but the answers were the same. [*]Later (about a month ago), after experimenting with some items she woke up finding herself in the GoE again. [*]A Christmas event portal to Necro was opened and she decided to use it. [*]She walked back from Necro but became was stuck in the paper cabin. [*]She asked a few LHOs to see if they could teleport her either back to the GoE or GG (As she was confused as to where she was allowed to go) [*]She later woke up in Jail with the reason: MP2 outside of GG. [/list] I find this completely unfair against her as she was teleported randomly four times out of her will and she was sent to jail and banned because of it. The other thing I found unusual is that there is no rule listed anywhere about MP2s. (I've checked the rules page, the forum and even the announcements and the best that I've learned is that they're a disabled Mind Power but nothing else.) Although enough about my own personal spiel, what do you think MD community?

I didn't personally receive the reply but Vasil was told by Mur that Alts could be used in the head contest, we've brought a little note to the council but it is still pending. [/quote] Other than constantly attacking someone over and over, everything else listed CAN be declared as some sort of harassment (even being a jerk for that matter) and therefore a rule is broken. Now, for the sake of it, be BLUNT. If you feel harassed, what's the harm in messaging the person with a nice; "Hey! Quit harassing me" note? Sure, it may not work but then you can at least report it to the higher ups as an actual harassment. And is MD shameful? No, just quiet and very undisclosed.

Considering how this thread is derailing into an anti-Eon/Wishpoint spell problem thread lets go back on topic shall we? I like the idea but it might take away some privileges by older players or those with special roles, my suggestion would be to perhaps have two different types of teleport spells? One (which is more public) which can be declined (at a cost - and with a time limit before they are either taken to that location?) and one (for those with more administrative roles) which forces a player into a location regardless. Unfortunately, I'm unconvinced that it should be used to teleport people out of locations during HC, it is meant to be unfair (although the "unfair" section of the HC has never really been defined) and I certainly do not think that spells are not be used for convenience. Spells should be allowed to be freely casted (with the exception of some that are given specific purposes; such as jail/silencing) but this is all just my own personal opinion.

As agreed with almost everyone above; for the important events (such as awarding medals and such) perhaps a date should be specified (Maybe not a reoccuring date or anything but at least a few weeks of notice), otherwise (such as the bulk item giveaways that occurred way way waaay back) I'm happy for them to be unannounced. With that being said; I think Firs argument is coincidental to everyone in this realm.
