1.
You are being obtuse. When i removed your accounts i stated quite clearly that you are only allowed one account per person. Not per IP. I have previously removed accounts who the owner has initially agreed it was their alts, and then when the other account is useful ingame, they claim that i removed accounts just because they shared an IP. I could not possibly know if you are indeed two different people if you did not tell me, therefore i said they were alts. Iv seen a lot of people "claim" that they live with someone else, share the same IP and such just so that they (ab)use their alts. If you are genuinely two players, thats perfectly fine and you should have stated that when i was talking to you about the removal of your accounts. Recreate the other account and send me a pm regarding the new account so i may add it to the allowed list. you should NOT be sharing accounts, one account is treated as one person, if that account does something bad, both players get penalized. As for the Firs/Yrth situation, i could name numerous other well known players that have had a similar IP at one time. The only difference between your and their case, their normal non shared IP outweighs their times when they have shared the same by one by several magnitudes.
Being obtuse is good, it allows a clear path for the community to follow. I was not aware of this (perhaps I have been away from the realm for much too long), I am only asking to clarify. In my opinion; it is better to ask questions then to later suffer the consequences. Thank you Chewett and the MD community for all your answers and replies, I hope this has unshrouded some of the fog surrounding accounts of the same IP.
 2. But but but the MDA basement is packed! With more than just a few people to socialise in there too! (Indeed I have spent much time in there) I support your thought and although I may not be wealthy nor have the powers as Passant nor the players above, I will too be happy and willing to donate! December does hold a special place and yes it is definitely a time where everyone should just get along! All other dramas/issues can wait!
 3.
I dont know why you waited that long and decided to use this as a fight agents Grido. Now if grido did not report the issue then that is another matter. This is yet another attack on Grido that you decided to use since he demoted you. That is dont in very bad taste. Tis lessens my view of you. I thought you where better than that. It is a shame really. It is easy to find out the email for the council it has been given many times it is public so not hard to find oh and a simple question is to ask on forms or in game "What is the council's email address" I am sorry but i am very disappointed in this if the issue you are saying is as bad as you say then why the hell did you wait 44DAYS?????? So you can see why i would think this you are making this personal.
It seemed that PO waited 44 days because he/she thought that Grido was able to resolve the issue. As just a player, I would think that Grido; being the head of the LHO, would have more of a chance of being able to contact the higher ups than the general population. I think my Bold and underlined bits speak for itself.
Pip, the section I was referencing; ""I was discussing the matter with Mur, and obviously he's gone away for a little bit, so please be patient."" and in the next message from me; ""I still haven't been able to catch Mur to talk about it. Mur pretty much always hiding offline on yim, or actually being offline makes it difficult"" Please ask questions before announcing uninformed opinions.
My question is why did you not contact the council yourself if you knew that Manu was busy? And no, I mean no disrespect nor am I attacking you when asking this, it just seems like (or at least on the surface of things) that you reassured PO that you would personally resolve the issue and that PO should not need to go to another or contact anyone else him/herself.
 4.
Hmm this is being done on Golemus so why have you not spoken with me in regards this. The items may be open to other to get at the mountain. But making a profit from it? Also The fact it was not spoken with me the king of the land is an issue in its self. All the above question could have been answered by myself easily. Anything involving Golemus and its resources you need to speak with me or if you cant get me then Grido as my second in command. If both of us are not around then Burn would be able to help you. between the 3 of us we have just about all time zones covered. In regards the alt thing. The Alt system looks at account with the same IP if they are the same then as far as the system is cncerned you are the same player it does not matter if you are 2 different people. I have that very same issue with Firs as we are 2 people but the system sees us as Alts because we are RL friends. There for i cannot do much in the way of trading with him directly.
I have just read the announcement regarding this and indeed I should have! I apologise for this. (I usually have too little time to "play" with MD so I am usually unaware of these things, with that said however, I don't think I should be excused.) With that being said, I'm fine with a punishment if it has offended you in some way?
I echo Yrth's statement, and also ask the mystery person how they intend to "collect" the ITC's if they never leave Golemus? You need to be at an Item Collecting location, and if memory serves the majority of players can only access one such location, and that's not on Golemus.
Honestly, I have no idea on how this works either, I've provided the ITC code (I've only done one trade previously) and it disappeared by the time I logged back in ! (Yes, I haven't had the time to research nor mess around with how items are supposed to work) With that being said: I've messaged my case to the council for approval and I would like to ask Yrthilian himself for approval for this service. <Deatznce0/Falsh's note>: That was my friend writing who wrote the message above, we also unfortunately share the same forum account as Chewett previously disallowed multiple forum accounts on the same IP (His forum one was purged). Seeing how Yrth and Firs share the same IP and they each have their own forum accounts are we allowed to each have our own forum account?
 5. Hello there MD community! I've got a little question but we need to establish a few facts first:

Me and my friend live in the same dorm (Sharing internet = same IP)
He wants to provide a service; to distribute Heat Jars and the person to whom he gives the Jar to can donate as much as they want for his service (including nothing!)
He does not have the means to escape GG so he has asked me to advertise for him instead (not only that but I have access to public logs which can spread the advertisement better)
He does not pick up any jars until requested to by another
All proceeds and trades are done via ITC
Now from the announcements...
Ann. 1997 - [2011-08-23 04:43:50 - Stage 11] ...You shouldn't sell the items but you can sell services related to them such as heat jar loading or whatever else.
...It seems allowed but "someone" has told me that it may constitute or be seen as an alt abuse. Other than the advertising and talking to the parties, I personally am not involved with any of the items at any time. I am also happy to make each and every transaction public via the forum or whatever. So my question is: Would this be considered as an Alt abuse? Thanks a bunch!
 6.
It is very easy to become a veteren, Just waiting is needed, and also very easy to not pay attention to what is happening, and miss out issues, to be honest, iv seen you around before, and you may be an old player, But really, i have no clue who you are from your playername
Indeed this is true! (Each individual has their role right? ) My influence really stopped once the players I knew left (which the main reason I've remained dormant) ...but back on topic now!
 7.
Grido did not make dst's punishment public because he did not want Seighart to know what it was. The council did not investigate because the case was never brought to them. The previous poll resulted as it did because it brought into question Grido's suitability as the LHO leader instead of the way he handled the recent LHO cases.
Finally! Someone who actually understands and explains everything! But I'm still uncertain as to "what" Dst had done however...
It is a war worth fighting for because there are people who have been wronged, over and over again and this. needs. to. stop. I've said it once, and I said it before, and I will continue to say it until I am blue in the lungs. whether I lose my respect, whether I lose my friends, or everything I have. I. Don't. Care. This has gone on long enough and why the community hasn't gotten sick of it is beyond me. Oh wait... they have BECAUSE THEY LEFT. Grido's actions may not be reversable, but it sure as hell is not acceptable. Phantom Orchid didn't deserve this. No one in their right mind deserves this yet it happened.
Curi, I completely agree with you and this injustice is worth fighting for. I don't agree with this unfairness of how things were treated and punishment being "lighter" to those you deem to know but as Pothos pointed out, we're in the minority.
Lufas Guth! This is gone far enough. At this pint it's pretty God be damned clear. People in MD either don't care, or don't agree about Grido's actions. Yes, Personaly I agree he's done wrong, Yes, I think he should at the very least be public about how he punished DST, but -I am in the minority-. MD isn't a Democracy, but even if it was, this topic would be closed. The're not enough people behind this. Curi, Your heart is in the right place, and you might even be right.. But your never going to make progress this way.. Just ask for this topic to be closed. If you absolutly must, then keep gathering evidence, but right now.. let it drop.
As much as I hate to argue that the residents of MD do not care over its issues, it just seems to me that many of them don't have ACCESS to the issue, I personally (hopefully without being arrogant, flamboyant or whatever) would like to think that I would be one of the older veterans who would be knowledgeable about the events in the realm, but if even I am not aware of these recent issues then by god how is any of the younger players going to have access to them?
 8.
Curi, this is not a hill worth dying for.
It might not be worth dying for but we've all still got to try, right? I agree with what Curi has said; why wasn't Dst's incident made as public? To be entirely honest, I actually have no clue as to what "crime" Dst has committed nor what punishment she got? Was this the cyber-sex incident or am I on the wrong page entirely? I don't blame Grido, the Council, Mur or even anyone but just why wasn't it public? It's just seeming more and more like everything was swept under the rug. Placing punishments or news through the mood status or public logs is a terrible idea and concept, many of us live in different time zones and this is worsened by the fact that a person may spam or conceal what should be made public. (And since I wouldn't know better since I don't know what has or had happened, I'm completely off-topic aren't I?)
 9. I'd like to apply as a law adviser for No Man's (as I will and always remain loyal to... no-one), I'm pretty familiar with the rules and I've generally given advice (to the newer players) as to what is acceptable and what is not, personally I feel that I'm up for it. Like Chewett, I've always given this advice for free and whether or not I am chosen will not matter as I will still be giving it. I have kind of built my own role over helping and advising new players so I think I might be suitable (even if I'm not personally a LHO or anyone special) .
 10. I've just done a little research myself and it seems that monster is completely new. (Meaning it only came out with that iteration of the game) Grassans were out since... the beginning of MD (If I recall correctly) so I'm guessing Grassan II wins?
 11.
Why not make *spoiler creature* lesson Skill damage.. they steal some skilldamage from fights.. it should also weaken the effect.
Remember the Archer changes? Remember how that turned out? Well not exactly terrible but the stronger players ended up with about a million Cyclinity whereas the weaker ones got below nine-thousand... Back to the main topic: The idea of stat gaining idling would be terrible, my MP3 would be a monster and February would be unstoppable. Eon of course like many others have said, rightfully earned his prize so I don't exactly see why we should take that away from him. (But of course the rules do state that if too many players have a "problem" with it, a sanction may be earned...)
 12. Offtopic-ally: MY GOD, METALBUNNY HAS MADE A RETURN!
honestly at this point this post in my eyes has become: I don't like Grido's actions. So I am going to make a topic about what a bad job he is doing. I won't state what bad things, nor will i state how I see to correct them, only that he should know what to do. In my opinion, your trying to say in this post that your opinion matters SOOOO much that this post was needed. As far as I have seen it Grido has openly tried to connect on whatever base of disillusion you have for him and his position. If anything it only furthers his upstanding reputation for taking the high ground. IF there is any point to this so far sensless topic, it would be nice that it would be made, instead of leaving everyone to their own assumptions. We all know what happens when people assume. In most cases it will only make you look bad for it pip.
I can agree with you in some aspects but I don't think Pip meant any of this, I think he just wants Grido to improve his methods without his direct input on how to improve; he wishes for him to do better in his own way rather than following one which is outlined by him. (Of course if Grido is uncertain on what he has done wrong then my way of thinking is in a loop, which I don't disagree with, after all, this is just my own personal opinion.)
 13.
Otherwise, John 8:7. (To our friends who aren't christians: That's a reference to the new testament)
Since we're making references to the bible let us also throw in: "If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also." - Matthew 5:38-42 Now what does that mean? A demotion of all LHOs! On a more serious note however, I'm inclined to give a null vote, as summarised by Grido:
... has dealt with hundreds of issues in that time. Out of those hundreds of issues, only very few get any publicity at all, and out of those few, only a slim percentage was handled in a way that was wrong to my perception.
There is nothing I can really add to this. When a person does a single good in the community, it is usually ignored and unnoticed but when they do a single wrong, everyone turns their head to point the finger. I apologise Pippy, unfortunately, this time I cannot assist you with your position.
 14. My vote is to Clocky! How can you NOT hug him now? XD
 15. Alas I am blind! Even the snowman one was posted! R.I.P Frosty Thanks for the heads up Hedge Munos!
 16. Due to the radical changes with gameplay i nominate:
Ann. 1765 - [2011-03-25 00:21:59 - Stage 10] No more Experience, but HEAT - Concept change I am glad to announce one of the most important concept changes in the past years in MD. There is no more "Experience", its now the same with HEAT. Functionality at this point remains the same but things will change over time according to this concept. Heat is finally what it was supposed to be from the start and "Experience" as a concept is gone. XP was never too much "MD Style" anyway. Player XP, Creature XP = Stored Heat Max XP, or XP cap = Max heat tolerance You dont gain xp but you store/refill heat You dont lose XP but you free stored hear The name changes are already in place and will be followed in time by functionality changes, things like heat burn, a more dynamic system of skill limits and more. This is a major change even if it might not seem so at this moment. The merger between heat and "xp" made heat be the "blood" of all activities in md, its used in some items to power them up, its used in fights, in creatures, in skills, character development and so on. The heat of the "erolin device" (glowing thin in right corner of the interface) is also heat , same heat as your stored heat, only in unstable form. Also from a story point of view, without any current implementation, Heat is the counterbalance of liquid dust and will be later called "negative heat" (as in "minus" not as in "bad", not the same with "cold"). This means a lot more but in the end it makes all perfect sense since the Shades are the counterbalance of the players too. This change fits as a glove on how things were already in MD, it is not shaking too much, but the name change might make you understand more of how things work in md. As usual, opinions about this are welcome on the forum. --Mur
But on a more serious note, this probably is the most deserving of us entering stage 11...
Ann. 1929 - [2011-07-14 07:14:02 - Stage 10] All snowmen have melted!
Rest in Peace Frosty, if we enter stage 11 because of you, your death will not be in vein! *respectfully salutes*
 17. As much as I like of the idea, I'm going to have to disapprove it, there's just too many problems and downsides. The first would have to be rigging. Take for example the bet for above, if the bet is made between two people other than Chewett, Chewett could essentially not log in if he desires one of the parties to win. The second is the time limit placed on it, just on the same example, although it is stated that is 6 months, would this be anytime within the 6 months or only at the end? (This is probably a petty issue but I guess this one isn't too much of one since it would most likely be explicitly stated.) The last is payment, I mean if it's a bet you would either need someone to hold on to the bets or risk not being payed out once the gamble has concluded. We haven't had many big issues with trade yet but the council has been called before so this one is probably something that would happen. I mean on the flip side; everyone has fun! But I'd still say no to this, sorry.
 18. Other than a name change, oddly enough this has little effect for MP3 players (Since they cannot access the Erolin device) but I like the new changes! I have yet to discover what is meant by dynamic-ness...
 19.
I have a slightly growing concern about the new coming MP3. For the past few weeks, I have been sitting in the park and I have watched MP3-- Nearly all of them-- request to use non damage rit. No one has really objected to Mp3 using non damage. I had no care about it until it was mistaken that Non Damage was part of the rules for the park. I don't know where you guys stand, but, looking at it, I kind of dislike it because it's like making a new precedent for the "February" case. I don't care if MP5 do it, because they know the fighting mechanics. As to loosely quote Nadrolski: The MP3 will turn into mindless graasans. Big, but without brains.
I find it interesting how you refer to it as the ""February" case." when it initially began with the MRs, there is still one out there that surpasses February by at least 100 times and he/she is still in MP3. (Unsurprisingly enough, he only appears at the end the month to ravage a certain contest in certain people's favour, Anyhow!) Back on topic; My overall opinion on this is to let them be, I am against this too as I have seen the aftermath of such rituals but if MP5s are allowed to do this then why shouldn't the lower MPs be able to too? The new changes to creatures have really hindered my ability to deal with this but due to fairness I'd say let it stay.
 20.
I would recommend coming to mp5 to see the variaty of rituals. Because Mp6 is not a pernament stage, there is no no real point to stopping crits working that need mp6 to upgrade. What you effectively do is say that you can only use these best crits for a small period of time, then you have to freeze them and let someone else use them. No one has effectively been mp6 for a great period of time. Fighting in mp5 is very intresting, you have so many choices with combo rits, TS and UP now to really rock thigns up. And that you can fight such an array of creatures that any mixture has unpredictable effects. Before you start saying that "X seems boring" come and have a look, becuase to me mp6 seems boring, but i cant comment on it having had no desire to be one.
Sorry Chewett but in my opinion I'd say keep it that way, if the lower MPs are going to be subject to this I really don't think that the higher ones should be allowed to escape it. For me, it seems more like a incentive to retain your power as an MP6 (or a will to move up to that stage in you're an MP5), perhaps we might start seeing more players advertise for permanent adepts and protect-ees, the current change certainly looks somewhat beneficial in this sense.
 21.
Exactly, its a learning stage. You are not meant to be able to do and experience everything. You are supposed to learn the basics first. As it stands, some rits have no benefit at MP3 and are not supposed to. In fact, some are detrimental. That's why you have these 'gods' of MP3/MP4 (who, incidentally are often the people that I am referring to when I say numpties). They are at a level they shouldn't be at. They are far and away too advanced to be at those MP levels. Think of it this way. In most countries you start off learning on a low CC motorbike, like a 125 or maybe 250 at most. When you are comfortable with that and most likely not until you pass your driving test do you upgrade to a more powerful bike. Right now we have MP3s spinning around on 2000CC turbo jet engine propelled bikes that can fly and microwave croissants.
But regardless of whether or not you take away the possibility of certain rituals, at the end of the day they're still in their 2000CC turbo jet engine propelled bikes, they're just unable to fly nor microwave croissants (*Insert sad hungry hungry hobo face here*) but they're still able to outrace those young'ins at least 300 times. With the changes of how Angiens work, I would say at least 99.99% of the rituals now won't really have any permanent impact on the newer players, (Maybe unless you're fighting an entire forest, then I'm not too sure) so in essence I don't really see the problem in this area. Regardless of whether they may be using a ritual filed with max archers or just basic ones; due to their godlike stats they will still be able to overwhelm younger players. My only concern is that by taking away some of the possible rituals, it eliminates even the possibility of younger players from defending against their Aramors which are able to deal 12k damage with one little axe swing. (Or I hope Aramor's have axes...?) Either way I do agree that MP3 is meant to be a learning stage but again, taking away rituals away in my opinion just escalates the learning curve.
 22.
Perhaps. But it also means that if stat farmers want to use fully upgraded creatures, then they need to move on to the next MP level. There are people that been hanging on at MP3 and Mp4 way longer than they should. As Mur already posted and many seem to have missed; MP3 is a LEARNING stage and MP4 and Intermediate stage. You ARE NOT supposed to be walking around with maxed out creatures (especially Angiens). What should happen is that you should be learning how to fight and oops, you hit your xp cap one day and then progress. Instead, some people have been calculating how to upgrade creatures to max and stay at MP3. This creates an imbalance, because you now have people that are decidedly NOT learning, swimming in the same pool as the people who are learning. We have constantly seen this in the HC, where some people just dominate the MP3 and MP4 stages and clearly shouldn't be there. We've seen the stupid MP3 maxed Angien rit. What's worse, they seemed to take some pride in being able to defeat Mp5s with it. Newsflash, if you can orchestrate leveling the creatures without reaching the cap, let alone defeating players 2 MP levels above yours, then you are NOT a learner and should not be at a level intended for people learning. Personally I see this as a correction that needs to be made. Freezing the creatures is also needed, because if you don't, you will get numpties remaining at MP3 or MP4 on the basis that they now have creatures upgraded to a level impossible for newer players at that level. Don't blame Mur for these changes, blame the numpties. Anyway, they are needed. I know some may not like them, but they are definitely needed. Besides, its something new and different in MD and in the end the motivation is to improve things overall. Not a bad thing in my book.
Considering how I was only reffering to stat farmers rather than MP3s who desire to have each and every creature in their arsenal upgraded it seems quite unrelated but I do acknowledge that this change is probably for the best for now. My only concern is that this makes it harder for your so called "numpties" to even fend themselves against the Gods of MP3/4, take note that those who are already considered Legendary of those stages probably have over 3k stats alone which would be more than enough dominate all MP3/4s by just using a single Aramor. Fair? Probably not. Counter-able at that stage? With the freezing of certain creatures; More or less impossible. Again, I'll agree with you that MP3 and MP4 is meant to be a learning stage BUT disabling certain creatures at this stage doesn't really allow these MPs to experience different rituals and how they work. (Perhaps this is what Mur is after; that we learn about fighting in the later stages) Well that's just my personal opinion as an permanent MP3 player. Why do I stay in this stage you may ask? Not to show off over my maxed creatures or the fact that I have a fancy avatar but to teach those younger players on the basics of the game, the battle mechanics and etc. (I know that not all players are like me but still!) But yeah, changes will be needed, I just hope it doesn't affect the learning curves of the earlier MPs.
 23.
The new xp-dynamic changes are just going to make stat grinding easier, if the system for stat gain doesn't change. And mp4s will still be able to get ridiculous amounts of stats... Even more so because they will be able to drop more experience by saccing... and even more because they will have the possibility to get crits with exp and sacc them. The stat gain will be a bit smaller because of the level the creature is sacrificed on, but it's not drastic. Anyway, we should wait for the xp system change and then see... But I think everything is going to stay the same... People will still opt to stay on lower mp levels... less on mp3, more on mp4... They just won't have high level creatures.
I agree with this actually, it really doesn't change stat grinding one bit as one doesn't need high level creatures to stat grind. Due to the changes I'm now unfortunately powerless to defend myself against stat farmers as my counter ritual is frozen, ahh such is life. =.=''...
 24. As an permanent MP3 player, with most recent change I'm essentially 99.99% useless since fighting is completely essential to my role. And with certain creatures being either completely unattainable OR unraisable; no longer can I compete with people who have an overwhelming stat advantage over me as I am just UNABLE to use certain rituals. Does this affect the already gods of the MP3 level? No, it makes then even more powerful as most people are now completely unable to counter their measly Aramor who are able to strike all of your creatures one turn at a time. I don't know but this in my opinion completely limits any potential MP3s have on learning about different rituals especially when they don't have access or usability of more than half of the initial given creatures. Not that I should really be commenting on how MUR should be doing things but I honestly think that just resetting the EXP of all creature transfers to the MP3 stage would have been a much better idea.
 25.
This has happened before because of abuse the links used to give a lot more back then too I fully understand the reasion behind this and why it needs to be done. For one it has a few memebers comming forth complaining but this also shows how little support the MD comunity give in regards to voting. It only takes 5 to 10 min to do the votes can people give so little of their time to support MD in thoes links? I will admit i didnt do them every day. I more forgot to or it was because my day was really busy but when i did remember to do it i did them all properly. So since the ban has happened i would like to see people making a proposed solution more so people to research the solution. I have heard that some site send confirmation of a players vote but thoes site normaly take a day to report the information so in turm would be useles for the gainf the AP and VE as you would only get them once the system confirmsa the vote. So any other suggestions i will admit this is not my area and i dont have any other suggestions but someone out there must have an idea or knowledge about this sort of thing.
Yrthilian, is right here! (Or at least I think so) Rather than making a proposed solution most of the people in the MD community are just complaining and whining for the lost creds, I too will also admit that I did not properly vote everyday (due to time constraints) but whenever I did (which would've been around every third day), I did do it properly too. And I also agree with bfh lighthing, the problem with the current system is that it people are just NOT voting and I would think (personally) it would be up to .Mur. or another person of his "crew" to open it up again. Here is one of my suggestions: Use a more manual system (where players WILL require interaction with someone OR have players send in screenshots of them voting) Cons

Very time consuming
Extremely lengthy just to attain possibly even 0.01 credit
Easily abuse-able by the people whom you may have to interact with/People with alts (If the player interaction is used)
OR Mur's/whoeverelse's inbox will explode (If the screenshot version is adapted)
Potentially less voters as it will be a messier system
Pros

No voting = No reward
Larger/Unique rewards may be handed out
