My immediate thought was a cirle, and immediate impressions are what count when you glance at a symbol i think, say if you asked that question to me with a play set and had 5 shapes in front of me, and i was asked to choose one star circle square triangle rectangle i would have picked the circle straight away in not even sure why because if i stop to think about it for a moment, say you gave me a small block of cheese and asked me to "sharpen" the rectangular square shape with a knife, i would probably carve a star if i had no time limit, and the prize for the best answer/entry won 10,000 pounds (cheese is too smelly to do for less ) and if you gave me a tutorial on a computer program and asked me that question, and we had done a course of manipulating shapes in graphic design and stuff, CAD and that, i would do a 3D shape like you get at the bottom of a sea scan or somthing,or even go do something like this effect of a symbol http://www.swordsandarmor.com/mall/mace-spiked-club.htm http://www.swordsandarmor.com/mall/mace-spiked.htm (not the sticks just the "sharp" end of the weapons) if you "sharpen" something is real life, a pencil a kicthen knife, or a citrusy taste which is really really tangy, Ooo thats sharp!*shudders* sharpen? in my mind, not having to look at a dictionary, i would imediately think about the square as a table. my mother used to say to me "careful! the corners are sharp! stop running around" or something like that if i was asked to "sharpen" a circle though, from the blocks again, i would choose a star. i know the choices here are limited, but the idea is the same. just being ironic but let me try something if you had a "star" shaped symbol, boring-ified, if you asked me that, i would think a simple dot imediately but then would probably turn it into a square, because really that quite "neat" and boring. i think its because i think of manmade things with a square. a table, a brick, a house but then your first symbols to a flag, if i saw a red square like that, depending on what colour background, i would think of something like um.. china: red on white symbol, or vodka "red square", red blood danger maybe,all those i wonder about people who arnt english, what they think about the word sharpen ok so i can decide if i want the choose a red circle as the answer, or a red star...where do i go from here... if you asked me to counter it, i would choose circle... but sharpen is different. the original object in real life doesnt change shape, the knife is still a knife! because of the way the shape is here, i would do soemthing different. i would "push" in on two opposite corners of the 2d flat square and turning it into a romboid, creating two edges with sharper angle then 90 degrees. it would be sharp and pointified [IMG]http://i817.photobucket.com/albums/zz93/Asterdai/sharper.png[/IMG]

[IMG]http://i817.photobucket.com/albums/zz93/Asterdai/intuitionpart1.png[/IMG] here is my entry the first symbol. its looks aggressive and red to support an anger. it looks as if it is horns or probing antenna's. to counter the emotion and colour of this symbol i have used an opposite and cooling blue. the first symbol uses one line twisted and turned, but still one continuous line. my counter symbol uses one line in a different way "splitting" it into two equal parts and joining it again causing the blue "hollow" shelter cover and surround the red of the aggressive spikes. i think to keep a visual "balance"/tension i had the spikes coming through the blue "encasing"

thanks seph, thats really kind. im not making any profit from them if you consider how much money i spent on them but thats neither here nor there its a great avy and i love to see avy's fit the right person, so i think this is a really nice idea Cant wait to see someone wearing it!

1. Stop watching TV, reading newspapers and live in an isolated "village" far away from the effects of the outside world, no computers, no electricity, wake up at natural time of day, work together as a community, each having an important job Apart from the electricity thing, this is possible, save up money and join a trade route which passes by this island Tristan da Cunha. Its language is English and there are 275 people who live there. You might say unachievable and impractical, but i seriously disagree. It would be possible and i believe it would make me ultimately happy, however my brain just screams out how impractical it would be. If someone picked me up and dropped me there my brain would say Nooooo!!! but more importantly my heart would say Yes. Its not about the travelling to a different place, its about changing my ruitine of living. Something like going to an isolated place will change LOTS of things about me in one go, things i have been trying to do but have been unable to. Going to bed at a reasonable time, not spending so much time on the computer maybe reading or writing short stories myself instead. NOT eating junk easily bought from a supermarket but instead growing and eating produce naturally. That is why this dream is an essential one for me, it holds so many little "dreams" in it. Does going out drinking/ clubbing, spending £80 (i work for minimum wage 38 hours a week(used to be 60), im not rich in england...), which is half a years wages for some people, in one night actually make me happy?? No The wish here is not to travel to some place, or simply to change my way of life in an extreme way, its to be able to truely value what is important and essential for me to be happy inside. Maybe too vague for a competition like this, but i feel closer to my dream now i have thought about it and spoken it 2. Harmony between my close family. My twin brother (who is an opposite, yet we are very similar) My sister, and my mother and father. Seeing films and watching people who have close brothers and sisters, who are close to their mother and father, makes me think that i am missing out. I Could swallow up my pride, forget past transgressions, "clear the slate". I could say its not my fault, that it doesnt matter what i do i cant please them or get them to work together, that i know ive allways been the mediator and that im fed up being that. but it comes down to one thing. They are people, they have things which make them tick, which make them happy, annoyed and sad. I know them the most of anyone, having spent most of my life in their company. I Know what i can do to be closer to them and not "step on their toes" but it wont happen. Most achievable? easy, just let the annoyance wash over you as if you are a stone in a stream. But i am afraid of being taken advantage of, my pride wont let me become a "mug" someone who can just be pushed around. 3. Ok i need a ciggerette now after all that..

i was wondering if i was doing something a little bit "wrong" and as far as taking the possible avvys away from people who have only limited credits to spend, i guess i still feel a little bad about this. i must say though i havent used any Alts to store avys as thought it may have been classed as alt abuse, all avy's were bought and traded/moved to friends accounts from Asterdai's account. Thanks for your support and comment regarding this "risky" trading venture, i hope that people can feel they can approach me to discuss about the prices and what the avvy's mean to them personally, and how they think it may build/develop/create their role.
