As the title says its a regular Hangman style tournament with a few tweaks. You have a Sick patient and you need to save him!! What do you have to do to be a part of it? Register! Post your Player name and Player ID here in the thread to get registered. The registration ends on 18th of this month at 11.59 ST. Then you will be pitted against each other.
So what so you do in this game? 
1. You gather 3 words for 3 rounds for this game.
Each word should've been mentioned somewhere in the MD Wiki.
It should be less than 15 letters in total.
Can be a set of multiple words like 'Marind Bell' but should be less than 15 letters in total.
The word should not be a player's name and should not contain any special characters in it.
2. I have my 3 words. What next?
You will go against a player selected randomly for 3 rounds per player.
Before the start of each round, the opposing player will send me the word by FORUM pm. I will present the word to the attempting player to guess. For example, if the opposing player gave me the word Marind Bell, I will present the word to the attempting player as - _/_/_/_/_/_ + _/_/_/_
The attempting player will Guess one letter. For example 'L'. Then I will mark all the L's in the word and present the letter as _/_/_/_/_/_ + _/_/L/L
If the person guesses a wrong letter, For example 'Z', It counts as 1 strike against the attempting person.
Each player gets upto 9 strikes in total over all the three rounds. 10th wrong attempt will mean the game will end irrespective of how many rounds are remaining. Unless you have certain Tools.
3. You mentioned Tools! What are they?
Each Player will get 5 tools to help them out during the course of the game. They are:
1. Murder: Kill the Man Instantly. Can be used by the opposing player at any point of the game. Attempting player loses the round instantly.
2. Slice off a Limb: Can be used by the opposing player at any point of the game.  Adds a strike from the attempting team's total number of guesses. After the round is over, the effect gets canceled and the original strike count is back into consideration. For example, if the Attempting player has 8 strikes will now. And the opposing player wants to slice a limb off, the total strikes of the attempting player will increase to 9 for that round and the next mistake means he is out of the game. However if he manages to complete that round, his total strike count goes back to 8.
3. Xray: The attempting player can use this at any point of the game. Select one empty slot. All the slots with the same letter in the word will be exposed.
4. Antibiotic: The attempting player can use this at any point of the game. Their strike count reduces by one for that particular round. After the round, the strike count gets back to the original count. for example, if the attempting player has 9 strikes, they can use this tool to reduce their strike count to 8. after the round the strike count will be back to 9.
5. Philosopher's Stone: attempting team instantly wins the round. Can be used after the player gets 9 strikes to win the round as well. This can also be used to continue the round after the opposing player uses the Murder tool. And vice versa. The opposing player can use the Murder tool right after a player uses the Philosopher's stone tool.
Each tool can be used only once by one player over the course of the match. Effect ends with the end of that round. They reset with Every new match along with the strikes.
4. You explained all those BS rules which I probably wont understand till i actually play the game, but you never told me how to win!!!
The person winning the maximum number of rounds wins and goes to the next stage of the tournament. 
5. Ok.. But What if there is a tie?
I will give the tie breaker word. The chance to guess the letter will alternate with each guess between the players. The first person to guess the word wins. The person with the lesser number of strikes gets the choice to choose whether they want to go first or second. If there are any unused tools left, they can be used in the tie breaker as well.
I know it sounds a little complex, it'll be way easier to understand once you start playing!
6. WAIT A MINUTE! YOU FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART! What about the rewards?
Apologies. I almost forgot. If there are 5 or more than 5 players, there will a wishpoint for the first place and 5g for the second. if there are less than 5 participants, 5g for the first place and 3g for the second. The plushies and anni crits sponsorship will be decided by the TKs. Good Luck! Let me know if there are any doubts.

Since scene decorations have been such an important part of MD Festivals, here is one more! Decorate the Inside of the pub in the east with your favorite decorations! You can take a print out of it and colour in by hand or add graphic decorations to it! Its all your wish. Each entry will get 2sc. There will be a public voting after the quest is over. In the spirit of celebrations, at this late hour I would like to propose a little text to sooth the heart and mind. To those who would object the following is not suitable for certain ages, I say I was subjected to religion classes when I was 10. My text does less brain damage than those; but, if you remove it, I will not argue.
The tale starts with two neighbouring villages, which lived in a relative peace. Occasional fights occured, but were easily dealt with, and the village leaders were content with their rule, and not seeking conflict. The same cannot be said about the village priests, two shriveled-up men who deeply resented eachother. One worshipped an obscure star, the other, another obscure star, part of the same constellation. But despite the insignificant difference, they argued each day, growing ill feelings. So when one of them bought a woman (if that is disturbing, you can substitute it with a goat - but it's common in some parts), the stage was set.
Gathering the villagers for the Sunday preach, the poorer priest told everyone they must attack their neighbours, for God wants them punished for their sacrilege. 'What was that?' asked the very surprised bunch. 'They are frolicking with animals. Usually sheep.' That was too novel to believe, so everyone asked gor a proof. The priest then called the village idiot of the other village and asked him how does he find woman. The poor idiot babbled 'beautiful' a couple of times, and that was considered irrefutable proof for interspecies breeding. 'Already they start sounding like sheep, we must do the will of God and punish all wickedness.' Now, common people may believe that, but, being common, they have their interest at heart. 'Well, I do not object to having more sheep. I liked Tom, if he becomes a ram, I will feed him plenty. I like his wife even more, and I hope she changes later, so we can...ah, nevermind'. To that, the priest warned of the dangerous disease as being highly contagious - even answering to a hello from an infected individual might make you catch it. That was a frightful thought, and everyone went home to start preparing for war.
The intervention of a concerned villager made no difference. The man showed the results of a research project conducted over a period of a year, the data clearly showing that their neighbouring villagers slept with their wives. None were reported to handle sheep other than for milking, with the insignificant exception of the village idiot, who occasionally fondled one or two. His finds were quickly dismissed, being accused of working for the enemy, conducting illecit activities without the approval of parents and church, of being a sinner and a bad candidatw for any respectable bride-to-be. Not even his collection of a few Terrabytes of typical amorous behaviour between men and women wasn't accepted as proof; it was dismissed with 'evil does not perform sinister deeds on the film of a voyeur camera'. The collection was seized, however, in the interest of svience, by an interested party.
The war was quick and bloody, and a triumphant priest seized the harem of the other, sending him in exile. Murders, rapes, burnings, all were done in the name of God, and the whole livestock, save the horses, was slaughtered. Most of the defeated villagers were torturef, the few that survived became slaves. Over time, doubts began to crawl in some people's minda. Some, overridden with guilt, killed themselves, others, became alcoholics. For a long time, hate towards others and self ruled. Only the priest was happy, and gathered a large disciples group. That, because the exiled priest's son secretly returned, and with his agents was trying to bring the downfall of his archenemy. Common people were brainwashed on both sides, and used to fight eachother, and hatred never died...
After a few centuries, a young man tried to unravel the mysteries of the unnatural hatred between two neighbouring villages. He rummaged through scrolls, talked to people, did his utmost to find what really happened. And it was such a dissapointing endibg for him to find out what really happened...Shocked and disgusted, he matured in an instant, never again enjoying the naivity of youth.
Because the answer for the god question isn't much about god. Sure, god might be up there, all powerfull, all knowing, watching us as we wake up and go to sleep, imparting his light with us, surrounded by other celestial bodies on the sky frame - the true pantheon. But down here, on the earthly plane, the answer to the god question is much more uninspiring, much more trivial, and also much more disturbing, from a certain point of view:
It's a goat.

This is a writing contest, in which you shall answer 5 questions with 1-2 paragraphs for each, something like a mini-essay. 
where to post? Easier to do it here, since i shall publish them here at the end even if you send them to me
any requirements? Yes, I want two things: clarity (as opposed to 'mystical') and feeling (inser the 'i' in there, feeling is as important as reason)
Rewards? An anniv creature for the best overall submission, teleport to pc, earfocus, mirtorit, sendtogazebo, voice etc spellstones, whatever else of interest i have and you want
judge- this is important; you might not want to enter this knowing that i will be the only judge. I have a reason for this

Now, for the questions:
 
*The idea of 'living your life' ( having great fun - a hedonistic view) occurs naturally - and it seems obviously correct. But i found a definition of happiness which says 'happiness is a good flow of life'. To me, these two are in opposition - which one am I to adhere to?
* greed brings misfortune - all warn against it, few resist it. Taking two steps back, greed appears to be a stimulating, animating, natural mechanism that moves things (killing in the process). Are we supposed to run from it, fight it or love it?
* it seems to me that the more you lie to others, the more you start lying to yourself. And the more you are sincere with yourself, you can't help but being so with those around you. Is that so? If it is, instead of demanding 'the truth and nothing but the truth', we'd ask for honesty with the self. The result - an onest society in general, with a few exceptional liars.
* ibelieve we all know the truth. We can't spell it, but we know it. The motionless sea of knowledge, the infinite wisdom at a fingertip, from which we extract small incomplete truths..but if we know, deep down, the truth, what is the value of this: amicus plato, sed magis amica veritas.
* there's a book that claims god (mkay) made man rule over the earth (or the creatures of the earth). I don't know...the more you live, the more you notice how all species figth eachother, how ours is just another, strong against certain, weak against others. But, when a (barely alive) little virus can wipe out easily thousands...what am I supposed to think of people who insist 'we are superior'?
