Redd got a reaction from Yoshi in Whatdahell?!
Something very (can't find the right term) just happened to me when I idled at the GGG last night.
I gained 140k exp, and got capped, but only my def crit (an elemental1) got experience, and only halt of the personal exp I gained. I doubt that this happened by accident, since that is an outrageous amount.

I can only conclude that someone don't like what I'm doing, because I do appear as a MP3 stat grinder.
FYI, I'm simply training an agien. That is my dream. Because, as I said before, stat grinding isn't worth it.

Damn, this is so frustrating..

Can something be done in regards to this? I can't name the culprit because my log is flooded with losses.
Any form of help is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much...

Why must you be MP3 to train Angiens?

I believe what they did was a good thing. You have been in MP3 for far to long. Move on dude.
Because I see it as a challenge. You do realize how much harder it is to do compared to other MP levels, right?
And even if the motive can be considered 'good', that doesn't negate the fact that the action is unjust.

It works on MP3. Tried it myself...

EDIT:
Personally, not worth it on MP3. 'Cause it only refunds 50% or the crit's exp. But this can be increased thru tokens.

You can lose exp in MP3 throuh saccing. But based on your crits, I doubt you can do it.

And using a wp to reset requires 50+ active days

So you're saying that a 14 year old should be the one to address the problem of sexual explicitness, because they are the ones who are affected? I think that's not how its supposed to work. Its some kind of backward or selfish mentality. Something like that.

I'm not good at impromptu explanations, so I'll cite an example instead:
Burns is MP5. Yet he's the one who constantly rants about low leveling, maybe because the ones who are affected might not have the confidence to speak for themselves. Technically, he is not minding his own business, but he does have a point, doesn't he?(Sorry, Burns, xP) This is even a sign of leadership, something needed in a community.
I'll also add that even if it ain't your own business, if it is in need of attention, why not post it?

I got the term - Indifference
No comment about dst and the explicit chat issue. Just wnated to make a point..

Just to make it clear, I am not a fan of this MP3 owning thing. The only thing I like about MP3 is ritual building. So I won't change my stand on MP3 being an exciting tactics battlefield. Sadly, tokens ruin that thought. I don't mind strong crits, they're not that scary.
Secondly, I write mostly based on observation, so if someone thinks I give wrong info, please do tell.
Then, here's the question: if there is no limit, where's the point? the whole cap-thingy has been lead ad absurdum with xp-free wins, and when there is no maximum to get out of it, it's no minmaxing
Why train stats for months when you can get a token by using 1cred? And your stats are worthless during HC anyway. This is the trend for most MP3 alts.
Personally, stat grinding at MP3 is a total waste of [a lot of] time. It will only lead to frustration.
it's just 'who spends more time at his computer'.
Assuming that my statement about stats and tokens are agrreable, I will add that training principles is not very time consuming. I think that reason is good enough for someone struggling at MP5 to settle at lower MPs.
Actually, setting my statement aside, that might truly be the reason for low leveling. Because they can't beat people like you who spent much more time in front of the computer than them.

BTW, won't all this all be futile if your target audience won't state their side? How will you know if they're even listening? I've seen a lot of tokened MP3 alts, but never heard of even one person defend them. So I do hope they speak up.

Same goes for bursts. People talk about it publicly.

The simplest solution I see is to 'oblige' some people to man the sparring grounds , since it is the main location where this problem occurs.
I suggest LHO's since, not only that SG staff are rare nowadays, but also because the sparring ground is pretty much like the PC, where beginners start learning the game and ask alot of questions.

If you see spoilerific text on the chat, pm the person that he did something wrong. If you see a spoilerific conversation developing, stop it. If someone convinces you to teach him a spoiler, remind him the rules about spoilers. Its as easy as that.Pretty soon, this thing will be solved. Problem is, some people don't have the initiative react at these situations.

About some MP3s being powerful and all that, take it this way.
First, MP3 is exciting. Everyone has the same exp limit, so they all have the shot to being the top. Tactics determines the strongest. Same goes for MP4. As the game develops, more tactics are also learned, therefore more opportunity to make stronger MP3 ALTS. Thats why MP3s get stronger.

Second, as Chewy told me the other day, 'some people tries to own the lower MP levels because they think they won't last in MP5'(Or something like that)
Unlike in MP5, having the right crits in MP3 will basically sum up the whole equation of being strong. (This has some SCARY excemptions, though) So if a person has access to strong crits and thinks he won't survive in MP5 anyway, he settles in the lower MP levels to redeem his and his drach's proud arses.

Guys and gals. Its becoming increasingly obvious that people are telling younglings how to defeat the Loreroot Guardians. This is something that you are supposed to figure out on your own. So in short, you are not doing them any favours. Stop telling people what to do to defeat them.

Phantasm, it's a joke. Just because you don't find it funny, doesn't mean others don't. Sure, if it was an actual picture of a guy dumping a bucket of water onto a baby, then I'd keep my mouth shut, but this is a cartoon

Anyways, because Cyanide and Happiness is awesome:

Here's the thought... You find a cartoon or photo somewhere that describes one of the people you know here in MD, post it and give us all a good laugh.

I found this at 8-Bit Theater. The king / sno-cone vendor is definitely our own king / adlepated philosopher.

Redd reacted to phantasm in Are Drachorns Too Common?
i don't think that the drachorns should be stripped from people. If they were lucky enough to acquire them they should be able to keep them. The problem I think is more that it is near impossible for anyone who doesn't have them to get them. Drachorns are supposed to be the most powerful and very frightening. I agree completely that not everyone should have one and that they should be difficult to acquire.

The thing I have the most issues with is the inability to get a new drachorn or those who do have the drachorns charging upwards of 80 silver for one. I myself am now 288 days old, and never once has anyone even attempted to reply or work a deal with me for one. I don't think someone with 100 days or under should have acess to them, but almost a year old now and still not so much as a wiff of one. 80 silver, I think, is too much to ask for anything. I don't think they should sell for 15 either. 40 silver or so I think is a much more reasonable offer for them.

A question I ask and have not gotten an answer is, are there new drachorns? Can new GG drachorns even be aquired anymore? If not then I think those with more drachorns then anyone would need, should be willing to offer them at a more reasonable rate.

I don't know the right solution to this problem. But I don't think stripping people of earned drachorns is right. The days when drachorns were able to be gotten from GG was a long long time ago, and only few veterans that are around now were there for the times. I say share the wealth and help out those who have put alot of time and effort into the game.

And since i already spent an hour magnetic lasso-ing and magic wand-ing at pixel level to make a proper layer mask of bob, here's another bonus one (actually this one was the idea when i started, but playing around with the bob-layer blending options gave me the idea for the first one):

Thats what mur was suggesting...

But he was more suggesting 6 12 18 24 or 12 24 or just every 24 months...
6 months for the first WP? That'll defy the purpose of encouraging new players. As Mur said, the first WP is important, and I agree. I think Observer's idea is good. One WP for newbies(between 2 and three months) another for his first year, then the regular interval of receiving WPs for the second year(every 6 months), and so on..
ps: another point: what about 1 wishpoint a year? and than given at christmas or something? this way only active people deserve it, but you wont have to be online for a whole year..
How can you measure loyalty by that scenario? I can just log in for one day each year and receive a WP? Or what if a veteran misses that one day? Better luck next year? I don't think so..
And yes, you need to be online for a whole year to reap the respective reward.

were discussing it, and i cant seem to work out why, or when it decides to say "tainted"
maybe this is where we are losing the overall amount of principle points, where it says the "attacker LOSES principle points"
we thinking that this tainted value might also be decided upon the drain value( seems to be up to 25% but not allways 25%) which might explain how its not just a 1 for 1 swap
.................................................................................................
'Tainted' appears when the current attacker for the round has more value of the principle than the defender. What happens is that the ability backfires, and instead of draining principles, the attacker will actually lose principles. [s]Lose means that the enemy will not gain it...[/s]
Upon closer inspection, it appears that if the difference between target principle of the two players is less than 1, nothing is drained, all lost. So, based on the log I read, I'm not sure if the enemy will gain the principle lost by being tainted...
