Here's a thread for all of those who wish to share an interesting detail from MD's history, that many would find hard to believe.

Shadowseeker was in Children of the Eclipse

Zleiphneir was briefly in the Savelites

Shadowseeker had in invitation to Sotis for a long time before he accepted it.

Nimrodel used to be in Loreroot.

Ok....2 that I remember

 

I was banned by Wodin for a short period of time (and no! not jailed - jail didn't exist back then).

I was in Necro for a short period of time and did some recruiting for Khal.

It used to be 1 AP required for all MD.

With max AP limited to 100, you could visit as many as 100 places in just as many steps.

Ally combat timers used to be 45 minutes.

MD used to have over 300 players on-line at one time.

Clock Master is still an LHO :D

Moderators used to combine double, triple or even multi posts.

MD is still described as having no usual economy

I used to be Lorerootian.

 

Loreroot hasn't always had guards.

Yes, you were a Savelite less-briefly than Z.

It seems Loreroot is a 'dirty' past of many vets :))

 

Pamplemousse, former master archivist(?), and Jester, also an archivist, becoming Necro leaders, is interesting to me.

Sage's Keep used to have a different use for the book inside it.  :P   (didn't it?)

and yes, to continue the theme,  MarindBell's current king used to be Loreroot too.  :P

Granos was/is really a warm cuddly fella

GG was off-limits for regular players and there were rumors going around that it was being used as a testing ground for spells which were a "soon" to be added feature at that time. (check out the maps chew posted in the ancient screenshots topic, you'll see that names of the scenes in GG are missing on one of them)
the labyrinth was also not there yet at that time :) and any fresh player could easly get into MDA to get his papers (or explore the land) without the need to beg for pickles.
there were no resources or tools to gather them.

I used to be the 2nd most hated player in MD years ago under the username aaront222. First hated still goes to Fenrir Greycloth.

Principles weren't capped when the tokens were implemented.

Because of this, it took a considerable lower effort to counter players with high stats brute-force wise.

Heretic Archers used to drain principles, it was possible for a mp3 to have 9 principles this way.
