I personally think that land-hopping like that would be even worse (I vaguely remember reading in the discussion topic on the rules something about this sort of land hopping:

"Associated to a land includes being part of an alliance or a citizen, as well as those on temporary absence from them, but is not exclusive to just that mechanical association. It also extends to a player who feels they belong to a certain land, or who through largely exclusive association or actions is viewed as of a certain land. Those who since those actions visibly associate themselves with another land would then no longer be thought of as with the former.

Alliance hoppers, or those that take alliances without intended association with the land the new alliance is a part of are exceptions and will be treated based on perception, rather than mechanical."

I'm certain that nobody is contesting Mur's and Eon's merits and that they will be nominated by someone else, according to the rules.

The rule was originally proposed to stop any one land forcing a large number of people and grido forcing all the other non land people from a category. I don't see why the rule is applicable now when all lands have similar mass. Not to mention I got that rule of him randomly (or worse, favourtism) removing people from a category removed.

Playing devils advocate is fine. Making bogus nominations in this topic is not. It further devalues an event that is a borderline travesty as it is. Personally I think this event should be postponed until there is a larger player base.

I gave +rep to Azull's post because of the bogus nomination thingie (john smith much?), but I don't think the event should be postponed. There are a number of nominees that deserve the awards for their play/work this year (maybe I'm just saying that because this year there are a number of new 'characters', so it isn't like a ceremony for the same people all over again)

With regard to the ceremony, votes are fairly split between Friday 18th and Sunday 20th, with Friday being one vote ahead currently.

 

We also need to look at time however:

Along with date, time needs to be considered. Out of personal preference 2100 on Friday would be fine (and indeed anything later), however if it was on Sunday, the preference would be later. I am however fairly flexible on Sunday so can do other times without too great a difficulty. If anyone has a suggestions on time, please state them here, particularly if you are in more easterly timezones.

 

Am I to assume that nobody has any issue with 2100 as a time for Friday? Seeing as nobody replied to it?
