1. I can tell you about savelfuser when he was young and had not even desired an alliance of his own, up to the point where he left the first triumvirate of GG to found the savellites. Then a bit about his activities until he left. After that you are on your own.

2. Again, quite interesting. It counters the symbol, but still powers it.
So what I thought was that it is opposite to the line, not the symbol itself and since it counters and is opposite to it, I thought that it'd be best to place the dot at the beginning of the supposed line if the circle was full. Then I realized the dot was a bit too big and I downsized it.
Kind of like Great Guba.

3. I found the posts before me intriguing.
To me circle means open, so I thought that was a nice addition.
I wanted to do a cross in the square and say that it was closed, but someone already did that so I tried to cancel it.

Also, I think someone did a sideways triangle with the elongated tip to the right, much like the play button on many devices. It wasn't until this point that I realized that circle may have meant open to many others as well, and that they may have seen the square as closed, or negative, to begin with.
As such, since they already did that, I decided to look at the square as open, or positive and fill it up to cancel it.

So... a filled up square it is. :D (canceled)

4. I inversed most possible things... But I did it in simplistic ways.
Straight to circle, circle to straight. big to small, small to big, or up vs. down and down vs. up.
I would've done left vs. right, but that wouldn't have made any difference. Heck, I did left vs. right as well.
Inversed the colors.
Now that I look at it, the first picture looks like a sunrise seen from space with earth being the small circle.
And the inverse looks like sunset on earth, on earth. But that's just me.

5. Ugh.. Indyra and Yoshi asked me to exchange christmass cards.

I was just wondering how many people wanted a christmass card from me, so that I don't have to go to and fro from the shop to get individual christmass cards.
¬_¬, I know that there is already a topic about christmass card exchange, but this is the offtopic forum (spam allowed :P), a general invitation to come and find me, because I will not come find you and pm you and if you hadn't noticed yet, a weak and meager attempt to dissuade people from trying to actually force me to get more cards.

Humbug!

Anyway, if you wish to annoy me more, or have an actual dying need to acquire an angrily written, yet awesomely awesome, christmass card, to put on display, then find me at berserker's way or wind's sanctuary, before 16th of december. Because that's the deadline before I send out the cards, after that, I'll ignore your meek pleas for a paper object of social and cultural significance.

¬_¬

6. You state that writers will be compensated. With a pickle point. Care to explain how this is done exactly? (how much do you need to get an actual tangible reward? What types of reward are there?)

Also, is it allowed to provide more questions in a topic, once it has been started, without editorial consultation?
Besides that, is it allowed to just make small comments and remarks, which lean more closely to reminiscence, or vague rumours, rather than an actual story?

7. Will this also be done retroactively, especially in the case of spent wp?

Also, I agree; I don't get why it is so hard not to write anything at all, for something that happens very rarely.
Giving a reason, is there for a reason, it's to provide internal control by independent groups. Kind of like internal affairs. Don't make me argue why this is important, if so, you fail at basic understanding of corruption.

8. While there is always the boring and time consuming option of sacrificing, I do agree that for mp6, it'd be easier to get loyalty through donation. You can donate heat, why not loyalty?
Loyalty, opposed to heat, isn't that really necessary for non-leader players, except when they want to buy certain items in mdshop.

Best Quote (PL, or something in chat/forum)
Indyra for the below line in the thread "Lifeline vb decision bla bla"

I rolled on the floor laughing :))
That is hilarious, that's the best thing I have heard in an extremely long time.

To make this less offtopic, I'd nominate this too, but since dst already did it, I won't have to :P

10. You want to know how making a fight club in MB and putting up a poster in MB is different from a fight club in the drachorn cave?
It's because of all the other facts concerning the GG drachorn cave.
How is this not clear?

You say that we didn't ask either before doing anything at all inside MB.
I give to you now, that it was obvious that not only the drachorn cave was closed because of the possible abuse, but that it was actually closed.

Marind Bell, especially the places where Burns was active, is not only a completely open and public place, but also a place for newbies and a place for learning.
By your logic, you should also have issue with all neutral institutions as well, as you seem to make no distinction about intent and proper usage of any action on any territory, regardless of it's designation.
By your logic, the dojo should be removed as well, because no one at the dojo ever asked you to open it in the first place, by your logic, not only burns' recruitment poster, but also any and every kind of quest script on any kind of script item should be cleansed if they do not have your permission as well, because it furthers the desires and cause of individual players, much like a recruitment poster would further the desires and cause of an alliance.
Not only that, according to your logic, you would have every person ask your permission, before they are allowed to try and get more adepts in MB.

There is a reason why we felt insulted by your intrusion into the GG drachorn cave, and there is a reason why there is no real inherent intrusion in such actions in MB lands.

As I stated earlier, there are many reasons why you should not have gone into the GG drachorn cave; it was closed, explicitly and implicitly, simply because of the fact of being there would allow for an enormous abuse.
The reason why we did not ask for your permission for our actions in MB, is because it was done in open territory, which has an extra special designated characteristic of teaching and helping newbies.

By your logic, we would have felt insulted if you set up a fight club in public golemus lands. We would not have, though we would have kindly asked you to leave it, much like you did with Burns' recruitment poster and fight club.

You fail to make important distinctions.

11. I have but one extra notion to enter into this topic, I'm still thinking about the rest.

My notion is that you, Lifeline, are a king.
As a king, you can be expected to be aware of the current state of affairs, as well as being an experience player, into any random category of MD, though not necessarily in an expert manner.
It's not a necessity, but it is to be expected. Why? Because otherwise these kinds of affairs and problems will come your way.

You as king should've known that RJ had indeed abused the right to distribute the drachorn eggs. That is why it was closed, implicitly it means that RJ is not the real trusted player he once was.
You as king should've known that RJ doesn't play on a daily or regular basis and as such, could've, much like you, not be in complete awareness of the current state of affairs.
You as king should've realized that the drachorn cave is in GG lands, that the authority of the king supercedes that of RJ as the already 'demoted' drach master, as well as come to the realization that by simply being inside of the drachorn cave you still re-open the possibility of the same abuse that got some of RJ's powers removed'.
Not only that, you completely ignored the 'Manda incident'.

You as king, should've taken these things into account and realized that a new GGG could've been in a much better place, than in a place which was closed down, simply because of being there, opens up the ability to abuse.
The aforementioned facts should have made you doubt the worth and legality of the drachorn cave as a new training place.

As a king, no, as an experienced player, you should've contacted either the staff beforehand, or Yrthilian.
We may not have treaties set up between MB and GG, but I assure you, it looks insulting.

You are king, not a newbie.

The only part where you actually behaved as a king, and I commend you for that, is that you lay the blame upon yourself and wish to absolve others, as you believe it was beyond their control and they are not implicitly involved in the crime.

12. Hoi polloi et barbaroi :P
A.k.a the plebs, you know, oliver twist kind of scruffy little peasants who have the gall to get in my way and the nerve to complain when I drive over them.

Also, not bad bunny, sleepy bunny... if you look at the post, you'll see it was posted at 3:41 am. So.. yeah.. I was sleepy.

Anyway, since we are not going to nominate Mur, I think it's better to differentiate between social contributor of MD and technical contributor of MD.
If no one agrees, I am fine with just having an 'Outstanding service to Md' award. (cuz it can be a bit too general)

Also, maybe differentiate between types of quests?

Best quest, hardest quest (and possible, but less likely) funniest quest, worst quest?

And a category for most awesome bunny in all of the realm.

13. Mmmh.. I only know a couple of whom I want to nominate.. so.. yeah;

Veteran of the year; Grido
Most Annoying; Aaront22
Outstanding Service to MD; Grido (I do not have a man crush, that would be Bubbah)
We can't nominate Mur can we?

As for the rest, no name pops out of the grey masses of the people, and that's the first criteria I have for nominating at all (not voting, that's something else).

14. Wouldn't it be a greater compromise to simply track the first character's, or in cases where it matters, to allow the oldest character have the wp accumulated to them, and allow for the option to redistribute them amongst your alts, as long as your alts comply with the conditions.

So for instance, if your alt is 80 days, and your main is 480, you are allowed to put one of your main's wp (for active days only, not the wp from quests or such), into your alt. A second one is not allowed as long as it hasn't reached age 120.

15. Okay.. with the new announcement, it seems to be implied that after 1200 days, you no longer get wp's. Which limits it to a maximum, while still being fair to newbies.
I think it's a good [enough] compromise.

Also, for the art, if anyone needs ideas, and since I can't draw... at all, I present you with some ideas.

Start off with a newbie, bumbling and stumbling. Or something that says; learning how to breathe, or crawl
Then go on with the next one about learning how to walk
Then run/jump/ pre-adolescent behaviour
Then perhaps learning how to fight?
Get armored stuff and perhaps some people following you. With maybe a reference to being 1 year old.
Get bigger, more minions, better armor
Now you start to generally look awesome
Become a metal bunny impersonator (as only the real metal bunny can be truly awesomeness itself).

Of course, this is not the proper topic to place this in, but, meh.

16. Ah right, wasn't thinking straight. Yes, with the AD it does indeed become sorite's paradox. But, unlike a heap, mur could superimpose an actual definition and worth of a wp, much like he did with the BP puzzle. AD's could then become worthy to a fraction of a wp, with added elements such as Dst's idea, of actually being there (I like that idea), much like the BP puzzle has several elements as well. So in that sense it isn't really like sorite's paradox, because we do have a higher authority that can define the worth of an AD and of a WP.

17. Sorite's paradox? With what? In the measurement of the worth of the requirements of a wp? I give you, I admit, completely subjective, yet potentially objective measurement of requirement of one wp; the WP mechanism installed by Mur in the gazebo, with the patterns in the floor.

But that aside, my sentence was a bit off anyway :excl:.

I simply meant that, with some of the instances where I have seen, relatively, far too easy quests which rewarded wp, I did not want the 'wp for active days' 'quest', to be so relatively easy, but instead comparable to the broken pattern puzzle.

But, yes, it's quite the difficult task to judge loyalty, in the form of active days, and its relative worth in relation to a wp, on a large scale.

18. Freedom of speech is relatively new and tyrants are not per definition a bad thing, nor is a democracy per definition a good thing. Because it depends on the tyrant and/or the people who rule. Also quoting Voltaire like that, ouch, at least do him some real justice.
I don't know in what kind of real world you live in, but if you tell people to go, and I quote, 'die', whether it is in written form or in speech, it is still enough to prosecute someone on the charge of the threat of bodily harm.

Check your mouth and fingers now, before I sue you. Then brush up on your law and then your manners.
