1.
Wouldn't it be groovy if The main lands could conquer them, or put them under their rule or whatever. It would be a good opportunity for RP, and an awesome excuse for people to rally together.
O_O NO! I am independent and I plan to stay that way. Usually neutral lands are populated by guilds. Guilds have a different goal/mission then the normal military alliances. We have advantages but also lots of disadvantages. But most of all we have the freedom to choose. To choose our allies, our enemies. And it would be difficult to "conquer" a guild. You can do that only by taking over the guild. Or at least this is the only way I see this to be possible. And to RP such a thing will probably be impossible since not everybody is a RP-er. The second idea is not really applicable because the allies in one land usually work together for the good of that land. Starting a competition like that might lead to bad things (but hey! I could also be wrong, I am just talking from my experience inside MD). The good part would be that allies will probably start recruiting active people and will start kicking out the inactive ones. This way noobs will have better chances of getting in an ally. How I see the current issue:neutral lands don't have kings but this doesn't mean we cannot decide things. It will not be a one man decision but a collective one. At least for the lands with more guilds/allies. I am the leader of my guild. I don't have the power of a king but I still can decide whether a thing is good or not for my guild/land. ps: moved to the alliances section
2. There are better ways to give away free stuff.Imo this is the worst. Also, things can be tolerated until they reach a certain point. After that, we have to take measures. But we'll have to wait and see.
3. Hmm...I asked 1 question some pages ago. Seems like I got no answer which only proves that my assumptions are correct. Thank you for the confirmation. Now, let me point some stuff out (they are not really related to each other but at one point some will be on topic; also I will refer mostly to myself and try to generalize as less as possible) : 1)Is there a problem that I
run around attacking anything [they] I see without mercy
? Even if you like it or not so far I have obeyed the GGG rules (my reasons are irrelevant). Also I have stopped using it. See it as maybe a sort of protest if you like. But I will probably change my attitude soon. Why? Cause for me MD means fighting.GGG doesn't satisfy me anymore (when that happens I take measures ).I am too old to mindless stat grind. And no, I will not apologize for it. You all say that we should stop complaining about MD being bored and do something. Don't mind if I will. In case you wonder: I do have crits to raise that can be leveled in GGG so don't think I need wins on crits that cannot be trained there. Not to mention I still now some stuff...but this is not important. 2)The overall quality of the quests has decreased. Even I went on the dark side and made the Asteriks quest. I haven't told you back then but I did it to mock RP-ers. Too bad for me that my plan did not work and players took it seriously. When I saw the responses I had to comply and play along. To be honest I never thought anyone would take it seriously and I expected almost no participation. Anyway, I am disappointed. I thought that now, when Kings would have the ability to give out WP codes, there will be a flood of quests. Not only that there aren't but many of them are pure crap. Even more: there are "secret" quests (yes, I am talking about Mya's "quest" for the Loreroot people). It's just pathetic... 3)Vets are bored. Result? Whining. Personally, for the moment I have no projects. This is the first time that happens in 2 years. Result? I log in, walk a bit and then I idle. It's more fun reading the forum then actually playing. For me at least. Who is to blame? Nobody. But this doesn't mean that there are no reasons for that. Some of them would be the following: -I am denied certain things because the community said so (yeah, it's a direct reference to No.1) -I am in a "bad mood"/"low phase"/etc -I am reaching the end of my player's life Only time will tell which of them is the correct one cause right now I have no idea.Or I will shake the boredpm of and start taking actions. So, the idea I wanted to point out is that after a while, as a vet, you can do just few things. You already did most of them. You are left with too few. That's not good. 4)We are a small community. We know each other for a long time. We developed feeling for each other: good or bad and we act according to them. As much as I don't want to, personal feelings rule my actions. And this happens to everyone. And if I hear someone saying otherwise then for me that person is a hypocrite. You simply cannot split a character from the person in front of the PC (yes fenrir, I stay IN FRONT of the PC not in the back but I don't really expect you to understand that since it's rocket science ). This has another consequence: noobs are not really welcomed (yes, I have to agree that someone else pointed me this flaw). They have to work extra hard to integrate themselves. And sometimes they are caught between vets arguments and they are forced to choose sides. Basically this means they have signed their "death sentence" (ok, I exaggerated but I hope you got my idea). Or they never integrate themselves so they leave. Or they really get bored. Now it's easy to get the info about crits. It's easy to raise them. Answers are being served on a silver plate. There are no real challenges. Cause we, the community simplified everything. Too much. 5)LHOs are the best idea ever but after a while I see them doing their jobs cause they have to. They don't have the passion anymore (sorry LHOs, some of you know I like you a lot so don't take it personally). Why not make LHO position a temp one? 3 months, 4 months? 6 months tops. Let others become LHOs. Recycle them. Re-circulate them. 6)Bah! I stopped and I lost my ideas. So...to be continued when I catch them
4.
dst what does this have to do with alts? you wouldn't be able to trade them with yourself anyways....
You said nothing about not being able to trade with your alts. This is just 1 flaw. The biggest one is that WPs SHOULD NOT be TRADABLE. Clearer now? @Fenrir: shout your mouth. You know nothing about WPs and how they are gained.
5. No. Not as long as alts are allowed.
6. Actually...from what I have heard Awi solved it last nigh...
7. I guess I solved it...
8.
aaront222 Destroy Scary Things Aaront222- TEAM BRIT!!! Aaront222- Awesome
Yes, he changed it. Thanks for letting me know.
9. As always, the best hidden things are the ones in plain sight. Yes, we had the most chances, but we failed to see the forest because of the trees. I will go and kick myself
10. Huh? Why haven't I seen it? Aaront is one of the worst spammers in MD but I never thought he would sink so low. I am sick of his pl entries. And there are others there with the same behavior. This is the n time a thing like this has happened. We NEED someone or something to allow us to deal with this stuff. Or at least stronger punishments. Something that will discourage players to spam and write offensive things. Bah!
11. For me is simple: -WP codes should be distributed as the owners like -WP distribution should not be restricted and of course well monitored (we already have abuse cases and I don't want more).
12. Please don't choose Lei (btw:this is the plural; Leu is the form for the singular and it means lion ). I am so used to the word that I kind of hate it right now.

Wps Gone Bad

Here is the list of the WP awarding that I find at least weird. I will not comment on them so you'll not say I am mean. I will just post them (details included): Receiver Giver WpId Details Date/Time Death Ray Mya Celestia 576 Quest 01/03/10 06:24:11 Nimrodel Mya Celestia 571 Guardian quest 26/02/10 19:02:35 Firsanthalas Mya Celestia 570 Mentorship 26/02/10 18:53:38 Sharazhad Mya Celestia 569 Quality Mentoring 26/02/10 18:49:13 CrazyMike Mya Celestia 568 Completed the guardian only quest 26/02/10 18:46:43 Kouras sasha lilias 533 Helped to plan out a new story for me, helped lost puppy make a personal wix and completed the set tasks 29/01/10 13:13:00 mcvitie phantasm 473 Secret Reindrach drawing that Aelis did.A gift given for a very special time of year. 15. 10 silvers?
16. First:I did participate in your quest so don't start screaming I did not. Second:I think I can get WPs to award for quests if I want to. And I will never ask to sponsor any of my quests since unfortunately probably none of the loreroot people will be able to complete it. So chill. Third:define "gifting". Cause right now I see like: Oh! X is a friend/pal/citizen/<insert relationship here>. He/she needs a WP for <insert wish here>. I will give one. I agree that WPs should be given not only for quests. But not because "poor Y has none or X is my friend" And yes, I understand that your job is and I quote
improving, promoting and nurturing my land and its citizens
. Too bad you listen ONLY to your people. And you only believe their part. You're too overconfident in them. And I repeat: don't worry! Chill! Relax! I am not going to ask you for any WPs. I don't want to take the WPs from your people and give them to others . I am too kind for that. Side note: is that new quest of yours a way of "gifting" Loreroot people also? But made in a subtle way so it will appear as a normal quest? Wait! Don't answer that cause I really don't want to know. LE:Yrth, if it's long enough, I bet it will. At least for me
17. I like Shadow's proposal. I see it like this: restriction=discrimination I agree that the WP codes should be given by kings only to their own citizens (with exceptions, but those exceptions have to be set by kings or they can even not exist; it's up to them). But I don't like restrictions like: you can win a wp only if you are citizen of land Y. Now I will refer only to myself: you want me out of a quest? There are ways to do that. And NOT by denying me the right to participate. There are certain types of quest that I will never do cause I hate them. And this is just an example. People will not participate just cause I am taking part? BS! (sorry for the foul language). Let's say that I know at least one quest that was "arranged" so certain people will win. People that don't even know how to spell the word "quest". Unfortunately this is hard to prove. Now, I am concerned of another aspect:WP trading or "gifting". And creating "dummy" quests to have a reason to give someone a WP. Or creating quests that almost nobody knows of to have a reason to give WPs. I do hope Mur will make public the WP logs because I am sure we'll read interesting stuff on them.
18. Today Dimmensional Shifters has died. Hope it will never ever be resurrected again. And I hope Mur will not use the badge unless he really has to. My decision was made. Topic closed.

One of my obsessions:
20. Yes, the title says it all. There is no point asking me how or why? How? It's a lil' secret o' mine. Why? You all know why (at least the veterans know). For new players:I "pay my debts" aka I did it out of revenge + for the moment I got nothing else to do in MD. What I will do next? I have no idea. I have few options though: -let it die (never to be used again)-this is for me the most appealing of the options -give it away (I have someone who deserves it ) - this is probably the best thing to do -selling it to the highest bidder - why not? It can be fun.. -give it back in exchange for removing the tree at Path of Lonliness - this is my creative option In case you wonder:DS is a guild created for one character. That character is called a Role Leader. Simplyzero, former ruler of the DS, was such a leader. In theory he can ask for his guild back. In practice, he will not get it. He already asked it 1 year ago when DS was first taken over. This is from the announcements:
This beeing said, .simplyzero. claims his right to takeover his original alliance, the Dimensional Shifters, understanding the possible effects on his reputation and that this wont be done again unless for a even more good reason.
I don't expect a better reason (I am not absurd ). But (of course there is a but) I ask for simplyzero to become a public character (same as Wodin was). In case this happens, I will choose for sure option 2 - give the alliance to someone else. I do not wish to keep the alliance. This is just an informative topic. But if you have better ideas, feel free to post them. You never know...

I Had Enough

Ok, I am sick of this:there is a player that never misses one chance of insulting me. I doubt anything will be done but I will use this topic to post print screens or logs of that player insulting me. I have also some logs but I cannot post them. Not yet at least. One of the mods, please close the topic. In case someone feels the need to comment that someone can open a new thread. Thanks.
22. I know . And I just remembered I saw it a 3rd time in a battle. I think the print screen is posted somewhere in this topic. I miss Cirith...
23. I know that number . But I know it better as AP or as Venger's crit's xp Nice one though
24.
2. You have barely touched on the Dojo of Lost XP.
What about it, if I may ask? Or do you pick on it just cause I had the bad inspiration to call it Dojo and make it public? If that's the reason, no problem. I can change that a lot.
25. If I remember correctly they created the training grounds for one reason: to grind wins for crits that were meant to be sacrificed for stats. It was designed long ago, when stats really meant something. They did a smart move: they made it a public place. Otherwise they would have never ever be able to continue their grinding (I don't think it's necessary to elaborate the reasons here since they are really simple).Of course they knew the mechanics. Or at least few of them did. The rest followed. And what happens now? The same: everybody follows. Like sheep in a flock! It's such a pity...Right now all that players know are the following: -GGG training rits (if they don't know them they are yelled at until they put the right one) -the uber rits (which unfortunately are about 2 or let's say 3) They have no way of adapting to other rits. And how could they do that if outside the GGG they can only encounter uber rits cause the rest of the players hide. I am guilty myself of having one of the strong rits put as def (even if it's not the strongest). Why? Cause I hate to be the only one farmed. It's a vicious circle. So, to resume a bit: Is GGG good: yes, it is but only if you already know how to play.Yes, it is but only if you use it for the reason it was designed. Right now the reasons are wrong. Is GGG bad: yes, it is. Reasons? I think I mentioned some above. And there are others. Another issue:how will you punish the GGG violators?Or how are you punishing them (in case you already do that)? I always see PL entries about misbehaving in GGG but I never saw any measures. I doubt GGG is the main reason why MD is boring but honestly, I believe it is an important factor.
