Wp control pannel not displaying names of rewarded players
dst replied to Blackshade Rider's topic in Resolved Bugs
I think you could see the list when the wp awarded cooldown was in place. Since we have no cooldown now, a list is not really useful for the system. I think Chew can tell us more. -
Another year in MD, another year of your life. Happy Birthday Chew! May you always be our furry wookiee! Hugs, dst

You mean good potatoes are easier to find than stones? O.o I knew Australia is strange but NOT that strange... Ok...you can use potatoes but to be perfectly honest I don't think the color will hold on them (or the stickers/glue).Also don't cut them. Use them full.

Yes, you got it all backwards. I was saying that only slaves benefit from this event. So instead of being auctioned, let players work (do slave work) if they want a leash.

Found an outdated info on a VERY important page: According to below, the info should be changed:

Still have the second kitty. If anyone wants it tell me.

Yes, I know that section. But as I said for most it's difficult (or they don't have time to do it) to put together those blocks and create a quest because you have one sample for timing a quest then you have a sample of implementing whatever key etc etc. Not all know how to match those. But if you have a template where all you need to do is change few parameters it is much much easier.

Draw/ create/ sculpt your own Hell Hound

On the last page of my submission there are a few words about what inspired me. It's a "practical" inspiration. If you're looking for other kind, let me know. -
I'm full of ideas like a cat is full of fleas: MD Script Library: http://magicduel.invisionzone.com/topic/16794-md-script-library-a-collection-of-useful-codes/

One of the major issues for me when it comes to making clicky quests is the fact that I need to code it. Yes, the documentation is useful but you either spend quite some time learning the language either you're by default a programmer and you already know how and what. For most it's hard to integrate the already existing pieces into one coherent and working block. So I was thinking that maybe we should have templates for quests where you only change the variables name, links to your own pics (if it's the case), player ids and so on. Basically you don't go through the hassle of re-thinking the whole process and you just...fill in the gaps. We can start with 1 or 2 templates and as people develop their skills or new knowledgeable people join or players that already code quests get new ideas and code more quests, the library will grow. I am sure we'll get many more quests this way because once you have the code it's only a matter of ideas and maybe some Photoshop/gimp/whatever skills (not even those) to design a quest.

Re-think the slaves auction and gaining of leashes: http://magicduel.invisionzone.com/topic/16793-of-leashes-and-slaves/
-
Shameless copy paste from another location so please bare with me and read the long post (filled with personal opinions as well): This concept is quite old in MD. The first “Slave auction” was in 2009. Purpose? Only plain and simple fun. In time this changed. Now the slave auction is a way for each player to get their hands on a quite nice usable item (the leash) as well as some money in the happiest of cases. Cause let’s be honest: this slave auctions are rigged. Rarely the masters pay the slaves (sometimes the slave pays the master so that player has coins to spare) It’s…a freebie event. So in the light of the above, I would CANCEL this event. But since leashes are VERY useful, I would put up a different way to gain a leash. Because the slave is the actual beneficiary of the whole deal (to have a way to be summoned wherever that person wants as long as there is another player willing to do it). I would make a quest out of it. It would be something like this:have a decent list of tasks (20-30 which is not hard to design – I’ll explain in the following paragraphs) out of which a number would be randomly chosen. Each year the number would increase. Meaning that for example if the first year you get 8 tasks, the next year you’ll get 12 (because it’s your “second” leash). Or not really the next year but the next time you try to get your leash. Btw: numbers are totally random, they can be adjusted. Then the player must complete all tasks in order to get the leash. You’d also get a Slave Master (new role which can be held by multiple people so if one leaves we don’t get stuck). Their role would be to validate the completion of the tasks. This is so that no coding is required (even for the tasks, there is no actual need for something to be coded, yes it would be wonderful if we’d have coding but it’s defo not a showstopper). Once all tasks are validated the “Slave” gets a leash*. Examples of tasks: gather 100 wood gather 200 water raise 40 bushes give <insert crit type here> X amount of heat and then donate it give <insert player X> Y amount of VE give <insert player X> Z amount of heat *Now that I am thinking better, maybe “slave” is not the correct term. And leash could be changed to something else like “one way transportation device”. Anyway, terms can be changed quite easily. The important fact is that this should not be a freebie. Why? Cause of players like fang (I will not comment on his behavior because I don’t like brown smelly things). So yeah, I am really not in favor of the current system. Waay to permissive. And way to easy to obtain something like a leash when for other things you have to work for months. Also, it would be a goal in MD. Everyone would be able to get one provided they work hard enough and nobody would miss it just because they were not around during the auction. Not to mention that certain people (fang for example) would actually have to WORK instead of begging.

Regeneration affecting vit regain at the end of battles
dst replied to Chewett's topic in General Forum
Actually you're a bit wrong. There is a token which adds ve permanently to a crit. So for example I have a max tree with 13k ve instead of 5k. -
Depends on the TK sponsorship.

Christmas is here, the goose is getting fat....errr....wait...No! Halloween is near, dst's brain had an idea (yes, it happens from time to time...). What I want you to do is tell me a Halloween related story. BUT there's a catch: you need to tell me the story using stones that you have painted (or applied stickers or other pics on). For example: take a flat stone on which you paint (if you have the skills) or glue an image of a spider. That will be your spider stone. On a different stone draw/paint/glue a web. Now you have 2 stones that if you put next to each other I will know that you want to say something like: A spider sat on a web. ***** How to: arrange the stones in any pattern (square, dodecahedron etc etc) or order (left to right, columns etc) you like and provide us with instructions on how to read them (yes, I will be needing a picture of the stones). You also have to include in the picture a stone (similar to the ones you used for the story) with your player name and ID. Send the picture (or the link to it) by PM to me (I prefer forum PM since in game ones are tricky). Send also the story using words. DO NOT reveal the picture or story to anyone else (it's for your own good). ***** Scoring: - I will be posting the entries on the forum (thanks Aethon for the idea) once the deadline will be reached. Then I will open a poll and anyone will be able to vote their fav (it will be a multiple choice poll). Most voted submission will get the number of points equal to the total number of submissions (so for example if there are 5 submissions, top one will get 5, second will get 4 and so on). In case of a tie, both submissions will get the same number of points. The above points will be added to the points provided by the judges so...I NEED JUDGES please. PM me if you wish to be one. Many thanks in advance. The judges will score based on the below: - Stones Creativity: how good your stones look like (if you draw a square on a stone and call it a house you will get a low score). Same scoring scale as above. Extra 4 points will be awarded if the images on the stones are drawn and not glued (I am not looking for Picasso although he was good at drawing shapes :D but I do want to reward hard work). Another option would be for you to draw things on paper by yourself (I will need proof of that - scan or picture of said papers containing your playername and id) and then cut them and glue them to the stones. If you go by this, you will also get 4 points. There is an exception and you will see it below. If you have a mix of stones you will only get 2 additional points (however you need to have at least 1/3 of the stones painted to qualify). - Story creation : the better the story is, the better your score will be (this is usually a subjective criterion so the final score for this will be halved). Same scoring method as above. However, you will get one additional point for each of below: a) It's Halloween related. b) Action takes place in MD. c) At least one of the characters is linked to MD (can be a creature or a player or any of the NPCs) - for this you CAN print the avatar or the picture of the crit or the NPC. If this (or those) is your only glued stone, the bonus for painted stones will be awarded. - Story/stones compatibility: this will measure how well you managed to tell the story using the pictures (this is why I requested the worded story as well). You will get 2 additional points if you manage to create at least 2 stones that will suggest an action (like walking, talking etc). ***** Deadline: 20th of November 2015 So you have a little over 2 months. Goal is to announce the winner(s) one week later (on the 27th because I might not be around during Halloween to post the results). ***** Rewards: 1st place: 1 WP + 1 Soul weaver 2nd: 1 sendtogazeebo stone + 1 acoustincremains stone + 1 earfocus stone 3rd: 1 GC + 5 credits (1 credit code worthing 5 credits) If anyone wishes to sponsor the quest, please let me know. I will also contact the TKs for additional sponsorship. If there will be more than 5 (worthy) submissions I will add a lockinchaos stones as well. If there will be more than 7 (worthy) submissions, I will be adding a second WP and "rearrange" the prizes. If you think there should be other criteria for judging, please let me know. Any improvements are welcomed. Other suggestions are also welcomed. Good luck and have fun! Thank you Sy for the awesome name for the quest (stonies was Sy's idea - for the record).

Most of my WPs have a score of 1 because they were added manually by shoeps and he found it fit to get a bit of revenge on me by scoring them with 1 so my score is not accurate. Also, the WP cooldown has been suspended so now anyone can award WPs in a row to the same person.

So it will be all a matter of what the master say and the evidences they present?
