  1. I'm sure Lulu will be shocked and disillusioned should she happen upon these posts. (: Ehh? What was that about France? I've never been there or seen French students taking IB exams, but it does seem as if it is harrowing. Although a certain someone I know doesn't seem to want to study much for them, fitting with that someone's study habits. Good luck everyone with exams~ Standardized ones were pieces of cake I consumed two weeks ago... Just don't want to take those horrible finals x_x;;
  2. Hmm~. I guess it would be impossible to journey back, steal a dragon from the tiny people and train it, then fly up to the top of the pyramid? (:
  3. Gjinja, most of us can get into Willow's Shop.. you have to hover your cursor right over the middle bar in the door. I think you're right about Loreroot, though. I can. All I did was click Berserker Way's puzzle and the message that usually appears when you solve it came up and there was that creepy scream. Went back to Marind Dale Park and the statue was gone.
  4. Not that it really matters, but have you noticed that in the story's illustrations the protagonist has hair, but the avatar (or whatever you would call it) has a bare head? XD Just remarking.... When I was just playing I got the impression I was a spirit in the world of dead, like a shade maybe, so somewhat insubstantial physically.. Maybe that's why grass can poke through my very faint feet?
  5. I was wondering what Shoeps was saying.. Well, just like Willow's Shop, you can go through Fenth's Press even though normally you would have to beat the npc there (the arrow is still there). Unfortunately, it seems as though there isn't anywhere to click to get into Loreroot; I think the guards with their shields are covering the area where the entering trigger usually is. When I first tried getting into Willow's Shop I couldn't because my cursor was over the area where I could trigger a fight with the guards.. there is just a little space between the two triggers of the guards where I can click the trigger to enter the shop, less than there usually is without the guards. I haven't tried through MDA lands yet. I'm going to edit the topic a bit to correct my statements (:
  6. Well I was pretty happy when I read the update about the new combat system. I got the impression that it was meant to stop people from farming losses and irresponsibly giving easy wins to others, which is something that bugs me a bit. When I was reading it, it sounded good in theory, although problems may arise later. Then I noticed that I got a victorious when someone used two healing creatures in a ritual... what? I reread the annoucement log and it still said that in order to get a victorious both players have to lose 20% of vitality, and yet I healed more than 100% (or lost more -100%). I might have placed this in the bug forum but I'm uncertain if I'm missing something and the system is still fairly new. Here's the end result: Does anyone else have questions about how the new system is supposed to work or why it is better than the old one? Feel free to express any opinions.
  7. All right, I have been receiving messages from players ingame that say they might be in chapter 3 (some of them don't seem to know for sure). I'll ask them to confirm if they're experiencing the problems before putting them on the list.
  8. @Yami: You must either be IB testing, AP testing, or taking exams for college course n___n; You should tie a victory headband around your head to concentrate and consume a tub-ful of chocolate. You can do it!
  9. Players in chapter 3, please post your player name here if you are experiencing this problem so Manu can fix the bug. thrall already posted about this bug in "back in time but not quite" but I decided to make a new topic to get your attention. Some chapter 3 players might have noticed something odd; they receive a message upon advancement that says they're now in free roam although they already were in the first place. The npcs reappear but are unfightable; a message appears that says: "***You allready defeated this character. Please close this window and continue your quest." The statue in the The Marble Dale Park also reappears but it is gone once the Beserker Way puzzle is clicked, as if the puzzle has been solved. Players who have this problem can still access Willow's Shop and Fenths Press by clicking the triggers (door, arrows, ect) that appear inbetween or behind the npc; unfortunately, it is not the same case with the Loreroot gate. Manu plans to fix the bug but to do so he needs a list of the players in chapter 3 who have it. List of players in chapter 3 with the bug: *Rex Umbrae Killer* *Shoeps* anubarak Azrael Dark CFM H MAN Charles dontav Eldrad elmster fiju Gjinja Glaistig hammerfalldude hellraiser Kalenku Kybernetiker Laz Marvolo Morrel Nash Psycho Demon RamsesXII savelfuser sioux Slayermtg SmartAlekRJ STF Venger Zintwana
  10. Hmm.. reading it, I can see some basic stuff that might want to be changed.. For instance, you probably don't want you use either first or second person, so get rid of all the "you"s and replace it with "a player", ect. It also sounds a little biased, as if you are marketing it. Basically, that's our intent, but you should refrain from saying something like, "it involves a lot of strategy" because people's perception of "a lot" varies. Instead, you might want to say that it involves strategy and specify. There are grammar errors, but I guess that can be edited later. The structure of it might want to be changed, in my opinion. I would add more detail about each section, creating subsections, and the introduction might exclude a few details that could go in other sections. Also, I would add more important sections such as history of how it was set up and the progress of it. I'm sure someone else will come along and make necessary changes, however, and I don't think I should do it since I lack comprehensive understanding of the game itself; these are just my suggestions.
  11. When I was reading this, I really did think you were talking about there being multiple writers, not the amount of players in the story.. "every writer" is plural, and you talk about writing the story. I think Akasha thought the same thing and wanted to make sure you and others knew that only Manu is writing it. Just so that you know, she isn't saying that players went through and edited the story, changing the details directly. The players make their own actions (the support groups supported BigC and solved STF's riddle) and Manu adjusted the story to fit them, which is why Akasha said it may seem random and unplanned. When she says "wrong info," she refers to your statement that there are several writers. In any case, if it's all cleared up about the fact that there is only one writer, then there is no point in continuing. There was a misinterpretation on either Akasha's or your part (I personally think you didn't understand what she was saying about "player involvement" and she didn't understand that you didn't understand and thought you were changing what you said), so if it is solved then there is no point in deciding whether each of responses can be perceived as attacks on each other.
  12. Magicduel really isn't very well-known.. I don't think it's at the top of any poll that has a lot of popular contenders, and since the free credits are going down I doubt it'd stay at the top. It's always the uniqueness. People who haven't played games haven't played a game like magicduel because the gameplay is one of a kind.. just need to expand on it.
  13. Hmm.. I voted "just fine" for speed before the faster option was added, and I probably would have picked faster. But thinking again, it's alright now. There's more than one update a day, and on most days I'm not on for a long period... wouldn't want to go through the minor hassle of looking at the adventure log instead of the sidebar.
  14. Go MD Shop (button) > Buy Credits > One time credit packs (second option) (: Please don't say my smile looks smug.
  15. Well, writing an article about magicduel might be suited to players who know more about it than me, if I think about it. Unfortunate for me, because I think it would be interesting.
  16. It sounds fun, but I have no experience with making Wiki articles. (: I don't know; if it's easy enough then I guess I could do a little.
  17. Don't worry, a Yami-Glaistig truce was made. (: You should thank her for saving your eyes from the pink. We already had standardized testing two weeks ago, yay~ Was pretty easy; too bad I got three major writing assignments for the newspaper so I couldn't enjoy a homework-free week I used to during testing. I just dread the IB finals that come in the last week of school. Only 4 weeks left~
  18. I guess I might've thought that, just because all of the talk about the cost of servers and needing donations made it seem like magicduel could be expensive to maintain-- not just the money but the time and work. I was never under the impression that magicduel could be making money, just because it is a free game and I tend to think that not many people donate in any game... Then I was looking at Manu's forum profile and I saw that the age listed was "26" and I was like "...whut?". I don't know, I guess I thought he was just a dedicated oldish (40 or more?) person who retired from some job and began a project with the money made from it.
  19. Well, I don't see much of a speed change from before. But I never really do pay much attention to that unless it's a lot slower, since I have high speed internet. Just wondering, where does this game get all its revenue? I understand that some players donate and that may help it keep afloat, but all the time and energy Manu seems to put into the game makes it seem like he doesn't have another job. I guess what I'm trying to ask is why isn't Manu bankrupt? Unless I'm a poor judge and the game actually brings in money.
  20. Is this a much better color, then? Honest, I don't really see why it hurts the eyes so much more than two light contrasting colors which you try to differentiate in order to read symbols. Well, I don't mean to be harsh, but I do prefer hot pink to Saki's font color. If she's willing to negotiate, I'll stop using hot pink if she changes her font color.
  21. For the sake of replying quickly in school, I shall not use pink. But I shall not discontinue either (: What don't you like about pink? Please don't say because it is a girly color. It's sad that some people dislike pink just because of the stereotype; it's a color just like any color in the world. I would feel sad if I couldn't see pink anymore. It's also a color that really stands out, which is one of the reasons why I occasionally have a pink phase.
  22. I presumed, and today both STF and I were right. (: We the people of this forum on this topic are not bananas, though we may dance in joy for STF. Idon'twanttobeabananaIdon'twanttobeabananaIdon'twanttobeabananasoManuisoff-topic? EDIT: Oh no, STF is a banana... Manu is cruel.
  23. But! I like the color pink and it shall help me find my posts. (: And I'm too lazy to change it now. Sorry.
  24. ... There was just an update in the adventure log about STF. He shouted "DEATH" as the answer, so I presume it is the answer. (:?
  25. The purple is slightly better. Still wish it were another color, to be honest. I might start using hot pink again. What do you say?
