1. i know there are definitely 4, the fifth no idea about
2. well, sort of the length of the current ones, i think max is ~400 words, not really a restriction though, just dont make it too long
3. i'm thinking that there'll be level editor software...stuff, so that we like drag a tree here, a barrel there etc, and design the layout of the level that way. Sounds fun, can't guarentee i'll make a good level, cos i dont know what's available, but i could give it a good shot . Be fun regardless if money is involved or not. So long as i dont actually need an iphone to make the level of course...
4. @teufel, if you read the descriptions that are out there currently, most of them dont have anything to do with how the creature attacks or whatever, it's just a little tale about where it came from or something, you dont need to know. I don't mind about you asking others for creatures which dont have descriptions, just i'm not going to tell you them. If i did a sliding scale, it'd mean that people would be quite likely to enter with young alts to have a higher chance of winning. So ask around for the creatures without descriptions, at the very least, the lvl 1 for each of the creatures is visible in the Bestiary section of the forum, so that'll get you started. @Black. I'm going to be slightly pedantic here. No, you're not doing Mur's work, first it's unlikely that the descriptions will get used in game, and second, (afaik) Mur didnt write any of the creature descriptions. A Gold coin is not worthless....not sure how you figure it is...Joker, yes, that is to me, i have several and i keep trying to give them away "powerplayer" ? Also, dont you ever do quests for the sake of doing them? Rather than purely for the reward? Care not for the reward, do it for doing sake. ""some of us would do it for free""
5. this feels odd agreeing with Pip.... but yeah, part of the contest is finding out those without descriptions, if i wanted to make it easy for you i'd have listed the creatures besides, keep looking till you hit 62, i know there are at least that many
6. hehe, welcome to MD, may you enjoy every second and if there's any questions you have, then me and my staff (LHO's ) will do what we can to help
7. lol like part of the Aramor's description is; "....Aramors are well known throughout the realm as they are one of the few entities that will aid anyone..." Yes, i am talking about only the RELEASED creatures, the ones which don't have descriptions. Like Chewie said, like the Drachorn. There are about 62 that i know of.
8. As some of you may be aware, I collect creatures, not for fighting, just for having. And as some of you are also aware, many of the currently released creatures do not have a description on them. I will hold a contest for the best descriptions submitted. I will give entries marks for two things, the first being quantity, the second quality. Quantity will be a straight, 1 point per description. Quality will be marked out of 10, minimum per entry that I accept is 3/10 (any less I ignore) so that people don't just send one liners for every undescribed creature and get loads of points for it. Submissions should have a title that clearly indicates the creature and the level the creature is. I will get a few others to help with the marking, and average the score for each person. i.e. we each give a score for a player, which then gets added up and divided by the amount of people marking. The person who gets the highest points will get a Gold coin & a shop Joker. By donation of I am Bored, the winner will also get a 127 age Pimped Grasan, and a 250 age Tormented Soul. By my count there are currently about 62 released creatures without descriptions, that number is counted from the different levels without descriptions. Submissions to be made to; grido (at) ymail (dot) com All submissions in by 1st December. *This initial post may be updated without warning, so pay attention to it LE - 28/11/09: As of this date there have only been 3 people who have submitted, for a total of 15 descriptions, and only half, if that, of them would i think actually worth giving points. So i have added a poll to see what you think, should i reward anyway? Should i delay the deadline so that more people might send in submissions? or should i just cancel it all? Please vote
9. yeah happened to me before, only once or twice though it's fun

My Profile

Az, the point is it's a fake profile. Pip has used the profile page editor to create a fake profile. It's to show off he's able to, i guess. lol, it's nice, and there are other ones already out there which are less obvious If you give it several AL's to choose from and then set it to pick one from random, that'd be fun, make it look more authentic
11. i repeat what they said and add on, to those who's writing from the submission to my quest "What is MagicDuel?" was used in it, at least you know it was worthwhile to write and put to good use (even if that wasnt why i made the quest)
12. i'm confused.....you talking about in game interface message thing (which is a display issue) or the browser toolbar (which also has minor issues)?
13. In case you don't know the phrase "you get what you give" i'm telling you it. You expect the community helping you to be nice and curteous, and we are. Do the same in return.
14. like a screenshot at the very least

New Quests

With quest 2...surely an aged Priest is worth more than 1 Silver? So why is 2nd place worse than coming third?
16. 3 is ''Default Player'' (which i think has been around a while) and 4 is ''Mur..'' (which is more recent) Yes, i tend to pay attention to random things like this
17. The Silver rewards have now been distributed 10 Silver has been given to both Xavierson and Yoshi 4 Silver has been given to *Indyra Sirenias*
18. I think the format is copied from another place, but when everyone uses the same format anyway, that doesnt really matter i dont think. Seems it covers most bases, some of the language might need to be tidied, but otherwise fine i think. Also, 12. Contact. Far as i know there is no contact form, though i dont think that's too hard to create
19. Wasn't sure what to put as a title. Just got reminded by a player that the links at the bottom of the interface for "Anti Spam Policy", "Privacy Policy", " Copyright Rights", and "Terms of Use" dont go anywhere, iirc the documents arent actually written up, and it's always been like that (to my knowledge). Just figuring we should kind of have those....
20. So if the person who has the WP assigned item doesnt swap it, they forfeit the WP?!?
21. i admit i dont know php that much, but how does that give me a timer? as an e.g. say i wanted someone to figure out what the next step of the quest was within 30 mins after seeing the info. They would view clickable A and the info there, recieving the key as well, the info would lead them to clickable B, but if they hadnt got there in 30 minutes then they wouldnt be able to proceed, as the key wouldnt work after 30 minutes. Or i want the person to get there between 15 and 20 minutes after, or something
22. i'll certainly try and figure out about being able to do that once i get the editing ability again Another thing, is it possible to put a sort of timer on a Key? So that a player has to get from point A (where the key is activated) to point B, and access the clickable before a certain time is up? i know there's the clock thing so that you can only activate stuff at a certain time of day, so wondered if this was possible as an addition to it?
23. Is it possible to have a sort of 'hidden' list which the person who put the code in, can see who has activated it? So like i could see who has got how far in the quest, or something?
24. damn you're being busy On an oh so slightly selfish note - allow ex-rpc's to still be able to edit the items? That would increase, in the short run, the amount of people who can edit them, and i know various ones who were part way through quests using them anyway, so they'd be appreciative, certainly. On the other hand, now we've been retired, why shouldnt we earn the WP's like everyone else? For the long run I don't know...you're making the use of the items more attractive to players, and after you've "finished" sorting all the coding out, i would think more people would go after getting the Wish, so the number would go a little higher, on the other hand, there's now not that many WP's (relatively speaking) and they're not regenerable, so people will be less willing to give them to people as rewards, so people will find it harder to unlock that ability to edit. Because it's a quest addition thing, you could have it in a similar way to the QP, where you have to have given out WP's to be able to do it. A sort of, you've proven you can make a quest, here's some more tools, go play. I'm not saying to lower the price here, but if there's too few people who can edit the items, why are you talking about increasing the price?
25. wish i knew that back then, hehe but would still be nice if we didnt have to do that, not that i'm entirely sure it's possible
