There used to be 4/5 MD groups, all relatively inactive ofc (cba to find them now, but it's pretty easy to) I'm pretty sure Facebook policy allows Mur to request the groups to be deleted, that would be his prerogative though

I believe he refers to the Shade Swordsman, of which I believe there are close to 6 of, at any rate, there are more than 2 As for the price, I am surprised someone gave an initial bid of that, I know few who have that much capitol to spend on it

Legend Speakers is also a guild, not an alliance, mechanic wise this makes no difference, but it does in terms of take-over. Guilds have a set purpose, if the purpose is not being fulfilled "something" will be done, like the Advertisers, they stopped doing advertising things and it got disbanded, it's generally objective what's considered to be fulfilling the role, but what i was getting at is that someone who wants to/does take over LS would have to do so with the intent to run the guild as it's meant to be run (in the broad sense), in which case you shouldn't worry because you'll both have the same interests towards the guild.

Either I've misread your post, or you don't know a part of inviting people into alliances Firstly, if you invite someone who has a genuine interest in joining, pretty sure they'd be happy to tell you their loyalty value. Secondly, when a player joins an alliance, if they are above, or close to the loyalty value of the alliance leader, they automatically drop to 50 (I think) points below the leader loyalty points, meaning they won't have control over it when they join.

But just for clarity, and I really can't be bothered to source this atm, but the use of the GoE spell is unrestricted, that is, it can be used for whatever intent the person who has it wants, so long as it isn't intentionally favouring a particular person or group in the HC. That means, they can do whatever the hell they want with it, essentially. Yes I have the spell, which is why I make sure to know the rules on its use, and those are them.

If you found my comment rude, then you might understand that I found yours equally, if not more so. Hence my reply to it. Now, as for the state of LHOs, you seem to be under the impression that they don't choose to be LHO, because if you were under a different impression, that of them choosing, you might realise that the phrasing of them doing "what they're supposed to do" would be...off. A player has a choice, that of helping players or playing their merry way (I have no objection to either path, before someone assumes I critique). The player that chooses to help players, then has a secondary choice, to become an LHO, or to not.The players who you refer to nominate/vote for, would fall into the second category (again, no critiquing). The main emphasis, as is likely aware to you, is the matter of choice. Yes, an LHO gets a few things, as you mention, but I should imagine that if they were doing it for gain, they would want a lot more than they get. The "extremely generous reward" would be the spell to summon me? This is a query, I can't think of anything else that was given at the same time as the medal. Surely ~because~ they signed up for it, it would show that they would be under the title of "Helper of the year"? In that they want to help a lot, and that they'd actually be strong candidates? That isn't to exclude others from being nominated, whilst my response to the suggestion was humerus on my part, it's a sensible idea. For clarity, I didn't ask for a debate (though I do enjoy them, don't get me wrong), I replied to your comment on the thread, and others decided to perpetuate it.

@Sparr, personally i don't like the insinuation that LHOs are such for personal benefit, and to assume that a non-LHO player does it for no benefit, is, to say the least, silly (nothing against you Tarq), players do like gaining adepts you know? But then that is my opinion, and you have yours. EDIT: removed the MD Awards list, cos no reason for it to be in this bit. Also, for clarity, as Amoran asked about it, the reference to Tarq is purely that Sparr nominated him, i stated "nothing against" him as i didn't want to imply that Tarq was doing it for the reasons (or other) listed.
