That was my thought when it came to that Atom/cell/electronlike thingie and the splitting into + and - on the first picture, I am unsure why exactly the additive is unpredictable, perhaps because it is a real sharing, unlike the other. The split or die seems to have been explained properly already, and for the pyramid I have no idea. The dilemme I see at the bottom seems to represent "Order" and "chaos". While each has it#s merits, a totally onesided one would just prove fatal. To the second picture: Somehow it looks like a picture depicting an electron, and yet also being a cell..hard to describe. that middle cakelike division picture seems to represent two ways the cells stick together I think, either in a shared circle, or in different shells around the circle. That with the MP3+MP5 looks like electrons taking them, as already pointed out, but why does an mp7 exist while one has none left? simply because the same sort of principles won't stack. So 5 principles + 3 (where 2 are new)= 7 + 0 if the balance is tipped. The lower part describes the principles a bit, and the dilemma seems to be the same like back then again, synthropy vs enthropy..not exactly fitting, or rather oder vs chaos. To Cryx: As for fractals, I thought they use imaginary numbers, how do you see any in there? o.o To Mur: I can't give a clear answer, that's why I only say i think that without balance the cell would go to the extreme, and when that happens the extremes would sooner or later collide...thus we need balance in a cell, or else it cannot exist in long terms.
My suggestion to prevent inflation is simple, make a fixed, official shop. Add a counter ingame to count the amount of coins ingame in total. Then, make people be able to get something for a certain percentage of the coins. Example: We have 200 silver. 1% goes towards a service, like getting a full heal of all the stats: ve, vp, AP, and EP or so. When we have less than 100 coins in total, we only pay 1 coin instead of 2 coins. Similiar with gold coins, here I would suggest creatures: Mur mentioned creature cycles, how about a shop where you can buy creatures out of the time of their cycle? Pay for it. Then, once we have a deflation of coins, make it so you give you coins on a centralized basis. Make it for example by giving official quests, rather easy for silver and hard for gold, or make it that you can work to earn coins, or whatever, to balance the amount of coins. I'd suggest when factions are there that new people get 1 silver after they finished it, which should take some time.
I'd rather suggest something like this, because the rewards you offered are...different, sometimes even too high, the idea with the items sound nice though..you gamble, and if you have luck you get something better.

I see the same. When I tried to view a public K doc from the archivists, it did not show up. And it seems that for those within a group is it accessable, which is weird, because I think it worked in the testing group.
-
I think it's not the new rules, those are rather designed to keep things in balance.. No, it's more the aftermath from several reasons which partially lie in the past.
-
Heh, a belated happy birthday, since we both had the same
-
I might be interested, but it's on a very short notice..not to mention 5 coins seems like a lot for a quest. Is it possible to jump in without reserving a spot?
Kragel apologized to shadowseeker for his rude behaviour. Wether Shadow accepted it or wether Kragel meant it is left up to them.
Yes, it's out matter, and for now we both decided to ignore each other. Better that way, perhaps.
and SS your saying you are sorry ... is not shown by making your further comments ...
I will not further comment on this, after this. Last post and done. I tried to talk to Kragel. I tried. He was basically saying: What language I used I apologize for, but I still mean all of it. That sounds like sorry for the comparison a small child saying Oh, I apologize for insulting you, but I still mean the insults. Do you wish to say that merely by asking things you can explain the PL comment he wrote?: .Kragel. low life who tries to find faults in everything to cover his own Basically this "low life" is what I object to, everything else his honest opinion, point taken. He thinks I have faults, good. I think I have them, and well, so be it. I don't deserve to be tagged that way for keeping things rationally and just trying to be informed. Then the whole YM convos I won't publish, saying I'm cheating. He says I'm envious of him having drachorns, while I have creatures which are worth WAY more. An example is just the 2 rustgolds I acquired. Sorry, cheating just for asking things? He was saying he LOST in the auction first, and when people wanted to know he told them that it was not their thing. Now when I ask and think he made PROFIT (not to mention he gained creature slots, but seeing as it was for a good reason, who cares?), he gets angry and shouts like mad, insulting me in ways which have nothing to do with it? I was about to accept what was said and done, but seeing as he still was the same even after he apologized in the forum, only difference not using caps, I edited my post then. He could've said Yes, I profited from the auction, and it was being written in the terms, which I would call vague, but okay, it was said he gets his share. Fine, then I would've let it rest. He wrote about the auction, and I saw that, that is why I wanted to apologize. The very impression people had was that the biggest share goes to the market for funds. I read it, and wanted to apologize. Apologize that it came over as a personal insult, when I just wished to understand things, and seeing as the auction was public, I should have a right to look into it. Just asking a question whether he profits or not is not allowed? He was basically accusing me of wanting to harass him and be abusive, and he threatened me for continuing posting here. He claimed if I continue to write here, that would be harassment. That's basically saying I have no right to VOICE myself. Oh yeah, and to reflect upon all this which I wanted to let it rest. I'm sure everyone remembers the trivia? Some people even go as far as to nick me server or neo, for me answering so fast. I only played the first three rounds and won two. That was when the third round started. (2009/04/16 20:53:19): are you really going to bitch when mur let someone else get credit for one how many do you think you have to win give other people a fucking chance Shadowseeker (2009/04/16 20:53:24): lol Shadowseeker (2009/04/16 20:53:28): cmon, it's a game Shadowseeker (2009/04/16 20:53:31): and I'm gone after this (2009/04/16 20:54:17): its not a game when there is one player and everyone else is screwed (2009/04/16 20:54:26): a GAME meand FAIR PLAY of some kind Shadowseeker (2009/04/16 20:54:34): it is fair Shadowseeker (2009/04/16 20:54:35): lol (2009/04/16 20:55:12): no its is not That was him. SORRY for being GOOD at the trivia and even GOING after winning two rounds. I could've decided to stay, but I did not do that.

Heh, I woke up so early exactly because there is CAKE Really big one, chocolate and with lots of cream. And you're not, there's obviously still some left.

Well, I voice myself for transparency. And although for some weird reason Kragel seems to take everything as a personal insult to him, especially if I continue to post here, I feel like this should be said: I will open a Mercenary Market. I'm no RPC or so, but I'll do it. How does it work? The profit will be split 50/50, That means the payment has to be either in two times the same creature or an even amount of coins. I'd suggest coins myself, to promote the value of them. 50 percent go to Kriskah for market funds. I saw her working for it enough to trust her enough. 50 percent go to the mercenary sold. I only take voluntary donations to me, and if I feel they are too much for the work I did, I'll donate them into the system. (Note: This does not account my personal trades!) All funds will be open, and I will create a list where everything can be seen, perhaps even hire someone to do it. (Getting an accountant to work for me does sound nice, doesn't it =). ) If someone does not wish to be mentioned in the list they will not, however the funds gained through that will appear, with anonymous apearing either for the donator, the mercenary or even both. Merchenaries can agree to the contract, can refuse to it as well however. What kind of work you want them to do has to be said in advance, but they most likely will list what they will do for you. Special requests of course cost more. How does that sound? EDIT: I just hope we don't have too many revengeful persons out there, because if someone managed to hire Marvolo, dst, or Cless....well, you can imagine the rest. EDIT2: It's unclear yet if it will be one ask only or hiring for a few days. Perhaps both, the first will be cheaper though. I'll start this once 10 people have applied, new forum topic is going to come soon.

Heh, thank you people. As usual the Master of the Forums Chewett noticed first. (Only decided to put up my birthday a few days ago.) It's been interesting here in MD; and I hope to continue on.

First of all when you have the suspicion that the hacker is knowing more than one password, I'd suggest getting an Antivirus system, checking it all. Best would be to create some bootdisk with that program somewhere seperate, plug the computer off the net and run a virus scan. Since this isn't the most serious problem i think she should just download and install a trial version and run a scan on her computer. Kaspersky, Avast, are a few good ones to say, is she wishes protection afterwards I'd suggest using ZoneAlarm or so as a firewall. After she has done that and still nothing shows up, then obviously her YM account/email got hacked. Try changing passwords there, making strings like §kai87f%hg (of course, don't use this now!).

Hm. I have to say I am just trying to get something clear, and to be honest I did not expect such an answer from Kragel at all. My impression of the auction was that this was NOT for profit, and thus my concerns regarding this can be explained somehow. About this whole matter I can only say that I am merely trying to understand something properly, and wish to see it done in public even. The concept is something of a mixture of politics and journalism, because I wish to be informed about things that go on. Journalism, don't get me wrong, not in the usual sense of scandals, I try to keep it rational...it's merely to point out things which look weird in my opinion. I however dislike setting punishments, I did not mention anything with Fenrir's punishment on purpose. I do not dislike him, I just think what he did is wrong and wanted to inform all, that was it. Politics come into play because of the system: Everyone who gets involved as an RPC/with events like the auction is likely to be questioned, but I honestly did NOT expect you, Kragel, to overreact in such a way, although I understand that you are angry. A lot of things seem to run behind closed doors, which is obviously why players get suspicious. I'm not into politics myself, but in MD I am interested in seeing the idea, and sometimes I feel like I do get a hang of it. I myself as a fellow trader hereby apologize to you Kragel, and I accept yours about the use of language, although it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth, I'll be honest with that, it was not exactly the nicest what you were saying. Edit: I have to admit I accept this, although you apparently are not being sorry for being so insultive at all. At least that is what I think. If you want further compensation regarding this, tell me.
-
Now, I wish to clear this: I am overly inquisitive and curious and see things where there are none, yes, I admit. I apologize for this, I know it myself. But, please tell me why you are so overreacting? I know you are RPC and special with that. I however ask when I see weird things. And this was one case. Why cannot I do that? I am merely trying to improve the game. As for this, if this shows up entirely different, then I will apologize. If you wish to see further action, why are you so overreacting if you only get a single drach trade? Oh, and EDIT: Kragel, you are showing....a side of you I wouldn't expect, but why the hell are you doing that? I try to keep this rational and as polite as I can, but I heavily dislike being insulted like this.

id: 138253 Thats the ID of a drachorn Kragel has. The one with that stardust and goldtear token. i got one through a quest with rj abd then i was gifted one when i became a rpc That's a copy of what he told me in YIM. Thing is, as far as I know RJ never did any quests where gave the creatures via CTC, nor did that system exist when he turned RPC in march. As a comparison: His player ID is 100657. Mine is 50659, and one of my oldest creatures ever is having the ID ID:118759, an elemental to be exact. Now, how did he acquire that drachorn, so old that his account DID NOT exist when it got recruited? Either he lied to me, or was there perhaps a drachorn of the auction involved? (4 were sold, he says all got sold afterwards again, I only know of: Calyx and possibly Fenrir acquiring one. Fenrir in brackets.) This is something I can't properly investigate (since I can't locate the trade partners) myself. I'd ask for a list of those traders to know for sure, but he seems to hate that. Other way is to run things via Mur, to let him check the CTC. That would equal calling for a trial, which I cannot do without having drained other means or real proof. I just wish to call this to the attention of the public, that is all. EDIT. Taken out something. Accidentally posted contact info I shouldn't have, I apologize for that.

There's something I forgot to add, we have a new record for negative vp! Check for yourself: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6LVH5K77 Edit: (and yeah, that is a megaupload link because I want it to be one..go download and add counts which enable me getting things later )

As to the spelldocuments...if you had researched them, or worked a bit, then you should know. In fact, there's some in the forums if you check. And udgard, yes. Asterdai...the idea of the whole thing is that you pick one, not that we provide you with all you may need/want to know... Nice one MB, though I am unsure if it's about the whole set or one doc.

Circle of flames. So far the only documents besides Wind Ward, Cures, Protection, Leader Spirit which were fully attainable. It has 5 levels, so it's difficulty is hard to gather, and as such better suited to use if you ask me.

I am able to decipher enough of the mail to say that it looks authentic...not like I doubted anyways. So, I guess we'd now need any of the admins to take action because of this. EDIT: To be honest I didn't think the process of proving it would be that fast, since finding artworks on the scattered net is not easy at all.^^" I'd say great job to everyone who helped with this.

http://shadowseeker.redio.de/FanArt.tif I've suddenly felt like drawing, that's why I'm adding this here (and sorry if it's bad quality, click the link if you want to have a better one)...Still need to redraw the lines with a black ruler and work on a few things, like the coloring for example >.< Any ideas what program I could use for colors?/Or anyone willing to help with that? And I'd be happy if someone could teach me a bit about how I could make this picture look a bit better.

Heads Contest- First place but no rewards?
Shadowseeker replied to dayredeemer's topic in Quest Archive
Actually I agree with Burns, there's a lot of oldies who want to take HC once more..... 30 creds is enough of a reason for most, then add the fun, well...you get my point I hope. -
Hm..a short reply to Burns..and a few suggestions. Actually, no I'm not hoarding the items as RP needed, those that are can even be given out sometimes. If you wonder which I mean: The Cross (obvious) and my silvery sphere. The sealed bottle has a story similiar to the Sphere (I got it in october last year, before items were existing and got it made into an item then), but in this case I gave it away. It all depends on who asks and what for. But I'd still like to be able to get more than 3, simply because I can create many, and use many sometimes. Right now there's a small rolechange, less fighting. that marks a new chapter, and perhaps even a new item. The rest I have are just for trade, which I do as a hobby and for fun. I collect things, and I dare say I may have done more for the fluctuation of items, creatures and coins then perhaps even the auction, because so far the auction things are being hoarded. How about Kragel, Udgard being able to destroy items, as in use it for the creation of another? Or reselling it, but not for overpriced values? The biggest problem with the auctioned things is, that they were gotten in exchange for voluntary help. Then if you sell these items/creats/coins in exchange for something like that again, wouldn't that mean it's an endless cycle, feeding on itself? You'd need to give out some items, creats for non material things, for example work, to make things able to go on. Edit: Oh, on a quick note: I wouldn't want to set a fixed value for coins. The value a coin has depends on the eye of the one who gets/sells it, and eve if we sell it it would be disregarded. Set such values for official things, but leave it out for the inoffical parts, since that wouldn't be used anways. Edit2: My suggestion to prevent inflation is simple, make a fixed, official shop.

As to why he is not replying, I can only guess....after being confronted with the first found picture, the armor, he played it off saying HIS artwork got stolen. As to further proof, Sage: You can check on the links I gave you, and you can see they are dated pictures on the net. I am sure there are more, otherwise, why doesn't Fenrir just submit a list of pics which he uploaded somewhere and where, as in the link? If he hasn't stolen, we surely can resolve and he can prove it, but it seems like he stole if you ask me. Edit: If you check the dates on the net, it's two from 2007 and one from 2005...And I somehow doubt he can explain why they are so old, if they were supposed to be drawn just because of MD, for MD.

The picture come from the links I put down..you can check there for yourself. I can explain this later, when I'm not tired anymore.
