1. How cool are they? xD You'd easily get some items for a drach >.<
2. Well, happy birthday led =D
3. *bump a bit* We can see the direction the majority opinion is leaning to, but for those who hasn't voted, please add your vote too =)
4. Well, it's a good idea really. I might not have to open the raw mat re-distribution shop after all =D
5. I prefer creatures myself. Well, I kinda had 2 shades though, and one is enough for collection purposes so... Anyways, creature sold, so thread can be closed. Thanks for your bids everyone =)

7. So, I guess the time has come to start a poll on one of the most game-breaking issues we're facing right now: how boost auras work. Right now, auras work multiplicatively, so that a 50% damage boost aura will give 1.5 times base damage, two 50% damage boost aura will give 1.5*1.5 = 2.25 times base damage, and so on. With the amount of boost that is given by BPs and rusties (and probably reins), damage can go up to astronomical amount which leads to a current situation where it's almost impossible to defend against it for even one round. What I am proposing is simple, and in my non-experienced opinion, would not be that hard to code. Change the way %boosts (of any kind, really, not just attack) from multiplicative to additive. That is to say, two 50% bonus aura will give 100% extra damage (2 times base damage). This way, aura bonuses will still play an important part, but battles will no longer be 0 round battles that relies on who hits first with their infinite damage. So, please vote your opinion on this topic. *hopes that the rest of the community agrees with him* Disclaimer: after playing almost 2 years, I finally have 4 drachs and will get the GG one tokened tonight. So no, this is not a whine topic. I'm finally going to catch up a bit with the stronger players, but I choose to potentially nerf badly my long-awaited creatures, because I do believe it is for the best interest of the realm.
8. Phan, I believe Mur didn't include the testing items when he wrote that. After all, he did say that shape shifter didn't acquire the items for free, while the test items were.. well, free I suppose.
9. Well, let's see.. To me, the forum is an integral part of the game. Since the earliest day I play, I always considered the forum the game's "bar", a place where all players can gather and talk about everything. With the large time difference between everyone, the forum works really well in gathering everyone together. And really, how much time can you spend on the forum? I probably spend 1/2 an hour to an hour at most a day (that is, lots of little 5 minutes compounded together). A time that I can barely do anything with in the game, but can do very much in the forum. OKay, I dunno if it's just me, but I honestly think that the forum doesn't take THAT much time away from MD-ing. I mean, how long can you forum a day? It's not like we got that much activity in the forum. Sure, let's all play the game more. But IMO people doesn't really spend too much time on the forum.
10.
I could be mistaken, but if MD was that full of interesting things there wouldn't be enough people to play games with.
Actually, that's almost exactly what I said. IF everyone contributed, there would be more things to try than the time to try it. Of course, the actual amount is closer to 10% than 100%.. But my point is that instead of focusing to take down something, people should focus more on creating something. Without anything interesting to do, people will be bored and leave, with too many interesting things to do, people will gather together on what they feel is the most interesting, and the game will thrive. And, I do mean many forms of creating things. Quests is a good example. Quests does not exactly take away people and make them unavailable to play with, right? It's just a tool to bring people together to play a part of the game.
11. +1 to what cutler said. Yes, MD has problems, at a quick glance it might be boring blah blah blah. But remember, what made MD so interesting is how the players inside can contribute to the game. Have you seen what cutler has done? He is one person, but look at how many things he has added to MD with 'just' the astral plane alone. If everyone tries to do what they can by CREATING something instead of finding ways to TAKE DOWN something, MD will be too full of interesting things that you won't have enough time to enjoy all of it. edit: fixed typo
12. AFAIK, the one on the shop was the back entrance access (key_variable), I believe the spell mentioned is a different on (castable one).
13. *bump* updated bids. Bidding will end this week.
14. I'll try hinting as much as possible without going to the spoiler area.. The guards' strength are their weakness. Now, comparing to your current creatures, they should have 3 very obvious strengths compared to you. Two of it is also their weakness. When you look at your fight log, what do you think is their strength, the part that makes you think "wow, it's xxxx is so big", or "wow, it can do that?". Hope this is not too spoiler-ish while still useful >.>
15. Whitewater, just to clarify, the topic is about raw material item hoarders, not the personal items you got from RP (from Mur). The raw materials were given for free during the festival of pain just for being there, and people frown at those who hoard it because then the raw materials cannot be used as intended - as materials to create a flow of items.
16.
As I myself have attempted many times to create things in the forge below the Defensive Quarter and have failed, I have no doubt the only person capable of actually creating it is our dwarven friend who is rarely on.
There is our freezing ninja friend as well, actually *wink*
17. Actually, LR back door is open twice a month if you pick a torch..
18. Happy birthday juju
19. Happy birthday! =)
20. I think the whole point of RP is to have fun, we don't really need any 'reward' for RP-ing, because, in essence, the reward is the fun we get from doing it in the first place. I agree that items should cost much less to make though, 20-30 silver + WP for most medium-intricateness items is a much more suitable cost IMO.
21. I have a good guess on the source of the misunderstanding happening here.. I think the problem is the definition of profit here (which will later be divided to the parties involved). Is it the total amount of $ sales, or the amount of $ commissions? If, for example, a creature is sold for 100% coins, is the profit from the auction = 100 coins? Or is there a set % amount of commission here, for example 10%, so the creature owner receives 90 coins at first, and 10 coins are set aside as commission, which at the end of the auction, will be divided amongst the parties Gremlin mentioned. The term "donate" is what I think is confusing here, as donating means giving something more for charity; are those who want profit no welcome to join the auction? Or is donation just a special case for those who want to, and other people can enter the auction for profit (and paying commission fee)?
22. Humans see things as what they seem. We try as best as we can to see things as we think it really is, but truth be told, no one knows if it really is what it is or just what we think it is. I don't think there's anyone who can (sanely) say for sure that they see things really as it is.
