  1. I think the whole point of RP is to have fun, we don't really need any 'reward' for RP-ing, because, in essence, the reward is the fun we get from doing it in the first place. I agree that items should cost much less to make though, 20-30 silver + WP for most medium-intricateness items is a much more suitable cost IMO.
  2. I have a good guess on the source of the misunderstanding happening here.. I think the problem is the definition of profit here (which will later be divided to the parties involved). Is it the total amount of $ sales, or the amount of $ commissions? If, for example, a creature is sold for 100% coins, is the profit from the auction = 100 coins? Or is there a set % amount of commission here, for example 10%, so the creature owner receives 90 coins at first, and 10 coins are set aside as commission, which at the end of the auction, will be divided amongst the parties Gremlin mentioned. The term "donate" is what I think is confusing here, as donating means giving something more for charity; are those who want profit no welcome to join the auction? Or is donation just a special case for those who want to, and other people can enter the auction for profit (and paying commission fee)?

Humans see things as what they seem. We try as best as we can to see things as we think it really is, but truth be told, no one knows if it really is what it is or just what we think it is. I don't think there's anyone who can (sanely) say for sure that they see things really as it is.

  5. Actually, elochai suggested updating, not reinstalling flash. About ISP problems, it is possible that one of the lines from your place to the location of MD's server is somehow damaged, and thus they are running with only what's left, thus the bandwith, shared between so many subscribers, became small. I also experienced something like this with international connections sometimes, yours might be a case of a more small scale problem. New thing to try: to pinpoint whether it is a connection or a hardware/software problem, you could try plugging your internet line to another computer and run MD from there. If problem persists, it's a connection problem, if not, it's something wrong with your computer.
  6. Actually, I don't mind if organizers make a profit for themselves, as long as the amount and methods are made clear beforehand. I think the problem with the last one is that some people feel 'cheated' because they did not know before that some of the profits will be taken as profit for the organizers. A bit of advice, it will help much if you make all info clear to the public instead of just the volunteers, it will make it much less likely that there'll be a fuss.
  7. I'd vote yes. I think instead of listing people and items they own, it might be better to make an item search function. You input the name of the item you wish to find, and the search function lists all people who own that particular item. Of course, to search, you need to know that it exists first (as in, knowing its name). I can release the catalogue I got from the last quest, if the community wishes so.
  8. Kragel and Subzeroo is available in game, not very active, but nonetheless reachable. Just wondering if you have contacted them yet?

  11. Well, just make it so the battle gives you no wins/xp. Just a place to see your creatures fight? =\

Courage is not the absence of fear. It is having a fear and facing it.

bids updated @peace: the necrovion kingdom not interested in gaining back the shades that are outside necrovion? *winks*
  14. Actually, by the forum rules, you should not RP here..
  15. I definitely remember your name, though I can't say that I really know you, nor did I realize you were gone xD But anyways, welcome back! =)

  17. Y'know, it's much, much easier if instead of the bidders liquidating their bids, Mur just uses a point system for each item/creature/whatever used as bids. The point system can even use coins as the reference, but the bidders won't have to liquidate their bids directly.

*makes a pose* Is this a modeling class recruitment?
  19. I've never seen Kemp broke the rules before. You sure it's not because your previous rit was damaged from the 1st atk? There seems to be a large difference between the amount of VE you lost on the two attacks.

As title says, I'm thinking of selling my shade, if a good offer comes up. I'm mainly interested in rusties/reins, unique items and coins/credits. Please PM your offers. Current offers: 6 gold 5 silver (95 silvers) + 1 uncut diamond
  22. @czez: I guess the point many people are not really happy with is : if you wanted to commission items using them, then why haven't you done so? Since you're going to use it, but haven't (and you mentioned that you got some of them since the day it was implemented), the item is stuck on you and no one else can use it. Why not use it soon so it can be recirculated? @bored: I know it's gonna shake the economy and make some people lose money, if implemented, but you do know that it is how MD works. You can always liquidate your investment if you want, it's just like real economy: invest in risky investments, or hold the less risky cash (coins in this case). For some considerations: Not all list of raw materials are released yet, and hence the number is indeed too few than the number of players. But let's look at this; there's only 3 types of raw materials that are released right now: wood, gemstones and animal parts. They have a total of 35 different raw materials, each having at least 2 copies, some more than that AFAIK(13 kinds of wood, 13 stones, 9 animal parts). Now imagine how it will be like when we implement the other kinds of raw materials (metal, cloth, herbs&chemical ingredients, etc). This will multiply the amount of available raw materials quickly, without even increasing the number of copies of each type of item. They are not requested to be made yet because there's no one to actually craft them (like the case with metal during Kragel's absence). But maybe, should we just go ahead and create them right now, so there will be more items on the market? I dunno, but maybe if there's more item in the market, it'll redirect some of the 'hoarding' to those new items, and allow the actually usable ones to be let go to those who actually need it. Opinions please.
