Iv got a depleter tool but I don’t seem to be able “use” it. I can see someone has managed to use it but could someone tell me how?

I had a chat with Else, he wasn't aware of how resources regenerate so I am going to suggest we remove it :)

Seems like a sensible suggestion stopping someone from using gathering items. It’s less “stop depletion” and more stop gathering, it could be used by anyone to stop gathering

After much patient work, Chewett and Death Ray finally had what they needed: a list. Names had been gathered, movements compared, and the marks left upon the Realm carefully recorded. The question now was what to do with it. A list hidden away in the Archives would change nothing. Chewett had a better idea. The Bell of Marind could call the lands together — and if the Realm was going to hear of the depleters, then it would hear their names clearly. So Chewett and Death Ray set out. From the depths of the Archives, across the barren stretches of No Man Land, and onward towards the peaks of Golemus, they carried their accusations far and wide. Wherever they found ears willing to listen, the names of the depleters were proclaimed. For CARD, this was its first truly public act. And from the shadows, Ledah watched. The coalition was no longer merely observing the depletion. Now it was making sure everyone else was watching too.

On BSR's request I did some checks to make sure this is "legitimate". It's all his, not stolen from anyone else. Nice to see the forge giving something cool :)

I will await a response from @Fang Once is understandable in my view but twice. The changes actually make depletion easier to do accidentally.

I voted yes. Now I understand it's not affecting combat I think this makes sense and aligns with what Mur and I discussed years ago. But I do see why some people are upset they spent money and now it's "gone".

Please accept my apologies for depleting. Originally my memory gatherer should have only taken one but after the recent changes it seems to only be able to take two. We shall have to work out how best to handle that

Does gaining gathering skills cause combat skills to go down? Ledah reported losing 200 defence and I can only assume that's becuase of these changes where he lost a "small" percentage? Bug/Feature?

Fair comment. We already have code parsing the forum for Q+A and such so I felt we also have precedent for parsing it.
