i suggest to do an experiment, one or more vets should take a random noob (that actually talks or asks something first) and spoil everything for him, like for idiots, tell him everything he needs to know, step by step, where to go what to do , how and what to click to solve puzzles, everything he asks and when he is not asking let him know you can help him if he cant do it himself. lets see how this will influence his behaviour. unfortunatly its a marketing problem, ...now days "game" defines something disconnecting, relaxing, like looney toons. What i wanted here was an adventure, not as a game, but at all levels, mostly regarding human interaction. basically its not a game, and most expect a game. makes people lose patience fast. either we should change the way its presented, invitation only or such, or make it more game like by adding the classical skills branches and shit, to make people see they gather skill points or so...idk..i dont feel creative when it comes to change md into somehting more commercial sry. very useful topic anyway, might be needed to make it permanent and advertise it better to the noobs. or even make it periodic, like starting it over with a number, so that noobs wont get scared to read a 100 posts topic, or not to let them influenced by previous ideas.

about the items.. i have the option to release them automated on a temporary basis using the thing i tested on wasps totem. That means to have a stock of items and anyone to grab anything, first come first served, but for a limited period (time limit still to be added). That will keep them recycled and more dynamic, but will kill trading. IT will also keep them important for longer because there will be a lot more active items and less lost on inactive accounts over time. An other option is to gift them to people based on their role, that will place the items back in game but there is no warranty those that get them wont give them away to end up in the hands of hoarders. I could also organize an auction for them, where the "price" will consist of reasons. Whoever gives the best reason why to give a specific item to him/her will get it. (no actual cost). Reason has to be based on actual player activity so far, _established_ role, but also plans for future and so. Since i fear i wont be able to actually do this myself, i am just opening the discussion here to decide what is best to do, then probably someone of you will take care of the actuall changes, be it auction organizer, role hunting season or rendril to assign the items to the automated system. I think there are 100 items in total so far.

Suggestion 1: If fight ends in a cap for one of the players, the other will get minus 10% ve as penalty. cons: - suicidal attacks to lower ve of a player by capping alts on him. Its fine, he should move on. - hard to determine if fight will be such a fight or not, but it does happen only once, right? maybe this will keep vets more careful when atacking random noobs? - overall paranoia pros: - noobs attacking and capping an older account will not feel much of a 10% penalty because their vitality total is anyway low. But vets will suffer from 10% Suggestion 2: No Ve reward for saking creatures at mp lower than 4 cons: - limiting developing of character at mp3 - limits just one type of mp3 overpower pros: - adds something more to the mp4+ levels Suggestion 3: - Add a count of how many players someone capped. On a certain number penalize him somehow but not move him. pros: limits repetitive abuse cons: persistent players that want to do that will still do it penalty suggestion: apply one random action of these. the difference in severity is a risk to consider: destroy one random creature regardless of level rarity or age. Destroy one random item not marked rare(admin items). Lower ve by 30%. Lower all stats by 15%. Jail time one week. What and why not: - no forcing someone to next mp, its true some want to stay at mp3 as a role and holding the ability to move them is dengerous - no stats cap. I don't think any of you, or me, can decide what decent stats are or where to place this cap - no sak limit, can get annoying when you realised you got only aramors and want to sac them but you cant. Sac for free is also not good because it alters the concept of sacrificing and for a noob to see that is not good and makes no sense.

Why is there that someone can be lost? Its a philosophical question. Someone is lost because it doenst have a purpose anymore maybe? Or it has nothing to do with purpose? There are so many of us that do not aim for a purpose yet they are happy and not "lost". I am trying to determine and understand this feeling. I have purpos(es) lots, i do not miss them, lol, in fact they are too many and in too many directions. Why is it that i feel like this, that i feel like losing everything so that i wont feel lost .... yes you heard right, the words are placed in the correct order. I can't undersand it, nor explain it, the feeling itself i mean, not its reasons, cause or future consequences. I used to understand and disect feelings, to analyze them and to controll them, but this one escaped me. I had the chance of understanding it like 10 years ago, but back i was to young. Now i feel it the same and i feel i am still that kind that will break in front of this terrible feeling. How is it that the feeling of being lost is not opposite to the feeling of confort or happiness, in my head at least. I can be a normal man and at the same time lost, why, what is the counterfeeling that balances it if its not that? well, ignoring all other possible meanings *cough* the one that inspires me most purity is the relation between man and his horse. The horse doesnt need to have wings to feel he has them... and appreciate the feeling ignore the words, they are just carriers. of course, replace horse with byke and it gets more sense on the "where we drop" part, since a horse will not hit a wall but a motorsycle will if you ride it driven by such feelings.

Everytime i wrote something in Ro i am so sorry all of my non romanian friends (MOST) can't read it, and i mean it, i am so sorry you cant see whats there with my eyes. On the other hand everytime i show something in english to someone i really want to give me an opinion and he cant understand it, i feel so bad that i am romanian and i write in a different language. For example my father and some of my best friends dont read english or read it very difficult. But lets put it this way, MUR my _character_ has no language, the message inside it (it is a clue here *blink*) can come forth in many ways , so i will go forward as usual and write, or do, whatever comes best with my instincts, because some things for me are more natural in english than in ro, and some are more natural in ro. stats cap is too hard restriction i am considering sac limlt and an admistrative item for pushing to next mp but with a low reuse rate no jail or punishment for february, no fixing of affected players (too hard to check all and be fair) cap count sound also good but i fear its complicated to do especially on defence keep telling your thought on that thnx

First of all what i think about this: - cant tell you how glad i am when a veteran fighter complains about getting beaten - the problem with ultra powerfull mp3 is that they attack noobs or partial noobs, thats worse than it seems - mp3 was not supposed to be a fighting stage, thats why the low cap What could be done: - stats cap for mp lower than 5, easy to do but will cut from the diversity of mp3 and will push many further, leaving low levels empty - stats penalty calculated dynamically based on how weak the opponent is. this means attacking very weak enemies will cost you dearly, but its hard to do/balance - human decision, establishing of a comitee, inquisition style, that can promote someone to mp5, even a guild so that the role can be passed on over generations of players - one man decision, land dependent, ability granted by a royal item, so king or one person assigned by the king can forcefully promote to mp5. one other person to handle non citizens. - do nothing and kindly ask those that can do such fights to understand that attacking new players or those that dont wish to be fighters and keep mp3 for the role, is harmfull to the community and should not be done (but not by rule)...you can imagine what happens when someone will ignore a kind request whatever the decision will be this will and should affect all of you and future players. There is no current rule to prohibit mp3 slaughter, there is no crime done, it is only a matter on how to improve things, not to punish someone. Unfortunately whatever change will prevent powerfull mp3 to exist or fight, will affect gameplay greatly and also future mp levels. Think of all the roles and possibilities cut by making mp levels limited ... i lean towards an option less effective but with more bending potential, so that someone someday will find a way around it and make his legend. keep your replies short and to the point (not like i do) so i can read all and take the right decision. i need your opinion and suggestions, but this is not a vote..the majority wish is less important in front of a clever idea that might not please all but keep things just, flexible and with role potential. Translating poetry is the hardest task for a translator because you need to be both a sensitive person to understand it but also a poet to put it in writing..not to mention the actual translation
