people that signed up for reward will get a nice reward if they find the right answer OR they will get a ugly penalty if they fail to do so. Take into considereation light interference, you know, when two waves conbine they can cancel eachother or amplify eachother. if there is a slight difference in their frequence , as it might appear due to the spherical relfection, that could split the light into composing frequencies, "ripples" will form. Gaining coins for free and using more accounts to do that , is abuse and will be punished accordingly. At this point there should not be possible to get coins for free, please correct me if i am wrong! At this point, even if it bothers me, keeping alts online to get items when i give them out is not a crime since it is me that is giving the items and not you taking them. there is no cost for transfering items, and coins are items too. If you aquired then legally , then you can do whatever you want with them. This is so because coins and items do not offer a direct advantage unless you use them wisely. It is not like with creatures for example that can powerup a noob without his merit. rules regarding items will have to change with the new type of items that will come because then they will be abusable. I say it this way because not all accounts restricted by the altchecker are alts, some are different people accessing md from same network, others are accounts "borrowed" for active days keeping to friends (md tags them as alts then) others are not even that. This might be damaging for people that live in same place and can no longer exchange items in md, but the benefits of restricting alts from item/resources transfer are far more important. This should slow down (at least a bit) potential future abuses related to the shared tools acquiring and resource hoarding.

thats a good point iab. with the current items i do not want to have them transfered more at once, no, not even coins! This keeps large transactions harder to do and a coin "values" also a second or two of your time to transfer it. When you say this costs 100 coins you not only think as of a number larger than 80 and smaller than 120 but you think in terms of how much it will flood the logs, how much time you need to finish transfering them, etc. The new type of items however, they are quantity. You will be able to transfer them by large numbers. The coins will have coin bags, but as a unique or partially rare item. A bag is tehnically an item grouping item , that is built from more coins and is named bag. The grouping item items (see them as folders are for files) are not done yet but are in plan. they will be used for things such as coin bags, composite materials, bottles that can be filled with liquids, mixing of ingredients, etc

the codes are given to the four lands. there wont be codes given to any other land,...BUT.. that means you should find ways against this restriction to sponsor those that deserve etc. Most of the rules i put have two sides, you are missing one here. The wp code dispatch restrictions are there so that you people DO something about it in those few situations that stand out. The kings will respect the things i asked them, no doubt, so ..how could you solve this? the kings have the right to do whatever they like with their resources too... enough said, you have all the "tools" and rules you need

was not a play. i have no clue why that happend. Maybe mysql got into a resource hungry script , maybe a cron, and it crashed. When it crashes it takes a little while to restart and everything is fine untill its next crash. I hope its nothing serious, and if it wont happen again today or tomorow then its all fine. As grido said, report bugs and errors only if they are not fixed in 30min

there is something in progress related to items that will make this discussion pointless. some other things will never change, the harder it is to get an item the more valuable it is. if it is impossible to get it, its priceless but also it "breaks" from the reality so to say you see things only from one point of view ... you have a role and want items to support it ... you should see it also from the opposite point of view, holding an item gives you a fragment of a role even if its not your initial one. If anyone would be able to create whatever items, items would mean nothing. Its like writing on a paper what items you wish for ... realy why dont you do that, afterall its the same thing basically. Crafters where never supposed to cover the item demand, just to offer one tiny crack in the closed system of items. items are not ment to be a fluid, flexible system to support any role, be recyled etc..simply NO. Same as characters that are allowed to remain in whatever form they are with whatever things happend to them be it test, personal achievements or even bugs ..they are unique..so are items. ... ok i just removed a big part of what i was writing or it will get big again...and its already big. Here is a summary of the future of md items: - tools (also items) to create other items, with a predefined cost - raw materials item class - items can be grouped together and converted in other primary items. - items that can enhance other items. Enchant, curse, etc - enchanted items that affect character (momons book is one of them in tests, but its extreme example) - tools that can extract raw materials. they will work based on some new skills, and only in the right locations , obviously - player character skills to support such activities - role tags to support such activities in an _automated_ way (oh yeah..) - consumable items (welcome to the world of cookies) - mdscript functions to partially support the main things needed with this features. A more extend set of functions in mds related to items will not be available untill i find a way to prevent abuse in an effective way. the current items will remain very valuable.. because they are unique. they will probably receive the unique tag. The user created items will be a different sort, but they will be used as the current items are now. the raw materials that are now considered raw materials will _probably_ be converted into a large amount of the new raw material type of items, if owner requests it. I consider to be a large amount of items to be whatever it is over 7 on an account. 1-2 is normal. 3-5 is good. Regarding your request for me to look into this: - nothing on your account will be "fixed". bugs, unusual events, etc, leave scars, benefits, or other. they alway did in md. - your complain is exagerated. this is not abuse of power. It is not even as tragic as you wanted to sound. - regarding what burns said, even if it is possible, this should be changed. Any form of punishment a player can inflict upon an other player should be limited to respect the general rules. Attacking someone that is not there (for more than 8min or so), can be considered bug abuse. burns, i expect a detailed pm, even if i already know some/most of it, i never managed to fix it, maybe you are doing it differently, so your detailed explenation will help. - giving forced xp to others is possible, allowed, and some more capable use it as a form of punishment. nothing to do about that, just to avoid getting to deserve it. No player with such power (that is no special ability) use it just out of evilness. - i doubt you checked your xp right, or that you know the diff between personal xp and creature xp. - being attacked in tranquility days is a major bug if it occurs. it didnt happened so, as far as the proof you provided. As usual, i will reward anyone helping to fix such a major bug if there is one. - getting massive xp from guards is very likely. You said you are sure about the first digit of your xp, 1, what if it was 1.8m, then to get to 2m is easy. - there are ways to lower xp by yourself you say you play for two years, you should know some things better then. But even if new player asked this, older players should reply you with more respect and not sound like ...that. i am not sure what is unclear from what i said. let me put it in a different way, maybe it is more clear. Use your logic abilities to combine what i said and figure it out: NO NO NO cases - you can't use md art to make money out of it, resell it for CASH, etc. Cash doesn't mean md credits, creatures or other valuables from within md. - you can't use md art for non md related things, like for your own non-md related project, etc. - you can't use md art if you do it in such a way that it affects the storyline, theme, or fundamental concepts in md, or if it is causing intentional confusion. To be more clear about this, i care about what you do with the art too, not only if it is for md or not. - you can't use md art if i say you can't use it... i thought it is obvious. - you can't use some of the art, those parts that i consider spoilers. - Things like artwork libraries, collections of images from md, premium creature or rare creature high level artworks, please don't use them. - you can do walpapers, just avoid confusion and mention they are done by you, with your own efforts. if you plan to put them public anywhere else than md, i don't want people to think they are official artworks, regardless how good or bad they look. - you can't use it in anything that tends to look official and is not. For example you can't use md artworks in phone games, regardless if they fit the rest of the rules and you give them for free. YES YES cases - you can use md artworks to support things related to your md quests, role, research. - you can use them for personal use, meaning the product of your work wont be shared, given, sold, traded to others. For example if you want to do yourself a mouse pad with the last level of the marksman, fine with me, just don't let me find out .. because if i do it means it is public use and not private. - you can trade creations based on md artworks as long as they remain within md and the trade is also within md, not for cash, or other non md things. This has also to fit the no spoiling rule. - you can use it if i said you can use it. obviously. it is common sense what i ask. Most of the cases of copyright infringement were solved by a simple discussion, and most were involving people not from md. The things i ask about the artworks use are to protect md's values, to keep it unique and keep its quality level. If i would leave the use of the artworks open to anyone and anything, this unicity would fade and "outsiders" as well as new players will no longer know what is md and what is player made. I can't say BW has the right to blah bla... he is not my business partner, he has no special permission, he is just a player. What i say here is valid for all. Regarding this particular case, i have nothing against player made walpapers. If you plan to post them on walpaper sites, or post them on your personal site and brag with md artworks to people that have no clue they are not yours, that is NOT ok. To be more sure everything is fine, whoever does such things, please state clearly that artworks is from md, and not done by you, so that new and unaware people know that and to avoid confusion. If you sell it, be sure to specify that you sell the way you combined, altered, mixed it, not the art itself. Like music and remixes, the dj is still an artist, but he is not claiming he composed the music he used for the mix, just the mix itself. If you do it for profit within md, its fine with me, as long as profit stays within md boundaries. Using md artworks within md , game or community, is the same as using creatures, or surfing the scenes. If you take it outside md, then it is stealing, unless you do everything possible to make it clear they belong to md, and talk to me about it. One thing that will make me happy every time and is important, make sure whatever you will create using md art has "MagicDuel" or domain name or MagicDuel Adventure written on it. That way it is clear you didnt used the art for other purposes. I make a huge difference between md people and people outside md. As a player, i will ask you, talk to you, explain you, listen to your reasons and even allow exceptions based on them when it comes to how you can use the artworks. For example, with the walpapers, i could say ok do them, but then ask you to remove one or the other because they don't fit with md or whatever. I expect you to respect that. As a non-player, md outsider, i will not do that. For people that find these artworks sweet and usable for their own projects, i know only to bite and use any tools imaginable to stop them. In reply to the pm i received from bronzometh requesting my stand about this idea: It is alt abuse. what you do is to run this training ground in two locations instead of one. according to the decision on ggg to ban alts found participating in that training ground, this will apply on yours too. Only way to do it is to have two groups of people , one group willing to stay outside , one willing to do the attacks. However, this is almost doomed to be abused by using alts and not main accounts, so i am afraid it wont work. Its good you asked, it made it obvious that you do not realise this as an abuse, but it is. from a philosophical point of view, when someone wins something, someone else loses something. If you put up fske accounts to sustain the losses, that is abuse and law breaking almost in all aspects, from game rules to country laws. It is like making a loan at the bank on a fake name.

I used to get games on floppies from friends and play them at other friends, something like 2-3 hours a week. I can still remember the feeling when i first got a computer. I was living some place else and the computer was shipped and installed at my home (where nobody lived at that time). I was massively skipping school to go there and play. the problem is almost always about the proportion of such an action. For the average player that has one more account that he plays and some other forgotten alt that he can't remember the login of, that is usualy not a problem. He will transfer creatures and silver anyway and it is not alt abuse. The problem comes with massive abusers that take advantage of such a thing and breed lots of alts just to get a certain advantage they offer,...that is the real problem. a possible solution would be to restrict free credits voting of _all_ suspicious accounts or even put a limit of silver you could get on an account, what is above that limit will automatically restrict free credits option. but , that is a very extreme solution and will affect also "innocent" players.

Rules of the room were stated clearly. All entrances should be payed, I didn't placed the fee value, it is more of a symbolic meaning. However elthans did and it was ...1 silver ..hmm payment goes to me , and eventually it goes back into md one way or an other. The current fund collector for different purposes is the postman, among other things this is his role, he "collects" payments, packages and such. don't get me wrong, you are not paying ME , you are just placing the currency back into the system. Elthans defenetly lost any chance of getting anything similar if he returns, but what I was more curious of was how this will turn out and how long it will tAke , I guess now I have an answer. regarding who should have the keys, I want the experiment to continue, it should be a less popular, but devoted character. No celebrity will get the keys. Player should not have any significant Alts, He should have enough active days, and should show from previous activity that he is involved and cares. I was about to pick someone, but since you showed initiative, let's see who You pick.
