Dont get me wrong. those didnt asked for the answer. but i need to answer that so that you will all understand whats with the ancient lore and what the big big issue is. I tried to avoid it, but some people still think i am ignoring their efforts and that i did bad baning the lore.... you will soon find out...i am preparing my thoughts so i say what should be said, but keep something for those of you that know how to look. Who killed Marind has everything to do with ancient lore and why i baned it.

Some forget, some do not know, that MD is a very delicate machinery build on logic gears. It is an intricate mechanism where nothing is random. Such a machinery needs secrets buried at different levels of complexity to work, same as a perfume needs incenses with different times of effect so that together they build a delicate and beautiful sensation. Like notes in a symphony that cant sound random for the music to be pleasant. Some of you, most ignorant and disrespectful, "veteran" players, think they know better. Building messenger groups and continuing the shit they started long ago and that i really hoped it ended. Well it seems these people continue to fuel such discontent and distorted beliefs to those they still can. No need to give names, but they know I am talking about them. One of the things that keeps being fueled by such groups is related, again, about how ancient lore is missing and about how bad i did, destroying md, when i baned ancient lore and fairy tales type of things. They complain and bitch about why i have something against about digging up the past stories and inenting things along those lines. I already said that the "ancient lore" doesnt realy exist, and that what ady wrote after the initial plan is not something i approved... you ignored that. Because i am full pass the limit with your bitching, i will sacrifice one if MD biggest secrets, one if its main gears, just for you. You will realise how wrong you were, but it will be too late. In return, i promise you will be sorry you find out the answer, because the questions i will cause after it will puzzle you even more. MD is much more deep than you (*points at specific group*) ignorant and persisting people care to know. I will tell you who killed Marind and all you wanted to know about "ancient lore". Over 4 years i managed to keep this secret and USE it, now i throw it at your feet to show you something. If you understand what that something is, good for you, if not, keep bitching and complaining. I appologise to those of you that do not deserve such a beautifull gear, secret, to be revealed this way, but like i said, MD is still much deeper and this secret will reveal new logic mechanisms. Kyphis pointed it very well, the contest CAN go together with usual hc, or other competitions. In fact you can have several Boss contests at the same time if needed, or citizenship based. I think also it is a good plan for the Champions Challange, but for that it needs more testing and the Champions Dome needs to be finalized. Because spells are allowed, i think i will exclude MP6 because of the spells bug.

no gold avies for now, i need to establish rules for having such avies or everybody will do just gold. Never colored avies, i keep color for illusion avies or special characters. Avatars mush be Grayscale, not even sepia. Please keep the current md style regarding colors.

All mp levels. you cant exit during the test and , stats damage or partial account damage wont be restored or repaired, and massive issues will be fixed within weeks? Scare yet? if not think also it will cost 1 nonrefundable silver. If you are still not scared, then you can think this will be the next kind of major competition, like level 2 HC. The reward for the winner of this test will be the same, or greater, than the one for the competitions later. I am thinking between a morph, wind, stats damage skill, new medal, a rare item related to this, or maybe a combination of these...not sure yet. This will be a close combat without the advantage of hiding in remote locations. The purpose of the test is to determine if major logic flaws appear, abuse methods or a tehnical issue with the contest itself. Overall it will be the same with a head contest on this test, nothing to worry about unless you don't like blood and heads splattered allover.

Please note that its NOT the magic wand that you should use! Do like this: Set background to that creme color in the sample. Select the black/white artwork then apply what is called in Fireworks (Adobe) "Convert to alpha" filter, or equivalent in your program. This will turn all white into transparency without cutting it. Magio wand won't work because it will cut the drawing very ugly and will not make transparent the interior white spots. With convert to alpha applied, export as transparent gif with the creme bg set as transparent color. This should generate the perfect export I saw some tried cutting the white spots, its not working and looks very ugly. I should mention that such anonimous demi-god accounts are free from any responsability, anything they might do is considered as done by me, so there is no pressure on them if they do a bad decision, or if they punish friends or reward enemies. It seems anonimity is the only way someone can be absolutely fair, and full power without responsability makes you stress free . I post it here so that one day i will have a historic record to know on what date this major change took place. (TNGMGD) THis was an announcement a while ago. Now its over so i will disclose its secrets for all. One day i made a pact with one of you. In exchange of a demi-god account, his Main if anyone speaks his name ever. He managed to keep it secret, but all things come to an end. By now two people at least spoke his name. For quite while there was someone around you that you all thought its me, giving items, performing actions only i could do, having fun with you or why not even punishing you when needed. Such a god-like role could not have been controlled by someone without a fair sense of justice and value. Why is that a "FEATURE"? ..because a god like player of this sort means a human decision factor that has the ability to act impartial just like a computer program but also add creativity to his decisions. "Gods of MD" that is how this feature should be called. Invisible forces that can turn your RP into reality, change destinies, and make things happen. A uncheatable human based system. You already experience this in other md features without knowing it, and each time will be different so you wont be able to predict or assume its effects. The fact that i announce it, only means it moved to the next level, so consider the things i say as they are, bits of HISTORY not of present. Now the question is, WHO out of all loyal players in md got to play with this? Two people started to suspect, the rumors maybe spread, the name of Tengri came out. But Tengri is a made up name for its real owner, and that is the one player that showed he is not craving for power, he can be neutral when needed, devoted to a role, and does not press the red button if left alone in the room with it . Who could it be? That player is Zleiphneir. A guardian of bob the tree that stood there for ages, sticking to his humble role, active in his own way, avoiding crowds, doing his own part in MD story, never messing with other parts just because they were the newest trend or such. A humble "goat boy" with his favorite lonely tree, in secret god-ruling MD in my place....and he did an excellent job i may say. You might think twice now before judging someone, he might have power of life and death upon you and you would never realy find out I write this now, as a tribute to Z, since he is now away from MD , for a while, and his memory should remain as what it is, one of the legends of MD. It seems such legends go much better without the pressure of popularity and power on their sholders. Its like secret service heroes that cant take pride for their achievements. Don't worry, i do not have a rule in picking isolated players that stick to their role as gods of md. In fact i realise that if i keep a pattern it will cause people to predict it and will void the entire purpose of such a feature. Also , praying or begging to an invisible god, is defenetly not something that will help. I did my part like this untill now, and many thought the announcement refers to one of my accounts dieing, funny how i managed to surprise you. Mur might no longer be a "god" of md one day .. but might be one more real and active player, a humble old man that you could trick or mock, but when doing so remember the story of the goat boy Tengri is dead. ps. but then again, do gods die if still remembered?

In five years of MagicDuel, i trusted only once someone to work on some of MD code, and that wasnt even the game itself but a separate admin . I am proud to announce you that finally there is someone that will actively work on MD to finish features and add new, later fix bugs and even more, i hope. This will allow me to plan things better, but also to manage things better, or work on other features (...and why not maybe later also play yey!). This person is Rendril, rumors already spread long before, i know. He managed to fulfill the requirements needed, and they go beyond being just a programmer, programmers i can find anywhere. Please understand that you should not send him requests, "friendly" favors, questions, bugs, problems, issues, NOTHING. This will only make him lose precious time and he wont be able to help you, since, paranoid as i am, i will be keeping an eye on what he does. He is forbidden to do anything in favor of any of you, or even fix anything without me aproving first, regardless how obvious the issue is. It is a delicate role he has. His programmer role in MD world should not interfere with his social role gained through his efforts. Consider me cruel or ungreatfull, but working on md code doesnt mean he has authority or decision power other than the limits that his own character gained. He will however benefit from different things he works on or tests, thats a big advantage in its own, but its a well deserved one, same as other players have from time to time. For example those that test new features, items etc. If his social role will be matching his administrative role in md, that should be entirely his merit, so he still enjoys md as what it started. I will update next on changelog the first MAJOR feature he finished. You will love it. Please remember these are his first steps in messing around with md code so have some understanding if things will go wrong (i dont think they will). Please... bugs and issues go to forum or me, as usual, unless I say otherwise, or he will end up flooded with such messages and he will crush same way i do sometimes. Respect that request please. im working on mdscript right now, but that one was supposed to work. It seems i my account is way to messed to check this, i see it working but might be because of my insane hardcoded exceptions.

Let me put it this way. Amount of new players is NOT decided by the front page. It is a constant, believe it or not. Think of it this way, ads are calculate with a pay per click way, that means if front page is less attractive it will still generate same amount of clicks but will require a lot more views to do that. Changing the amount of info on the main page changes the kind of players that join. Those to bored to bother with readin it will not join anymore, while those that look for more will be pleased by it. I am just moving the "give-up" point to before the registration instead of the first day after registration. New registrations increased slightly from about 65 to 75/day, but player kind changed a lot more. This goes for the banners too. It is actualy much more convenient to have ugly banners with lower click rate than beautiful banners with lots of clicks. This is because you pay for those clicks but not for the views, so a very ugly banner will receive clicks only from people very curious or very interested, while a very nice banner will receive clicks also by people that dont realy want to play anything but are just impressed by the banners. The reason MD has nice banners right now its because of the attitude i want it to have on the market, sort of a brand image, it costs me more (indirectly) but people see it with better eyes than when i used the ugly banners. So stop with this Mur-wants-people-out conspiracy theories, i know what i am doing.

Interesting post about food and front page all combined. While a more tasty and roasted front page increases the registration rate, it also brings lots of low-medium quality players that expect an other kind of game and don't bother to understand a different one. Weird thing is that registration rate actually increased and i can't realy explain that. Most of the players that stick around more than one day and i asked about what kept them here told me about things on the main page less advertised, such as the small disclaimer text or the principles. MD search engine optimization is bad, because i don't want to spam it with keywords aimed at an other kind of game. The kind of people that stay in md are interested in something else than a casual game. Think what kept you here or what made you register in the first place. Now i find it interesting how vets see everything so collapsed and destroyed, not functional and me trying to drive people away in masked ways, while those not cought by this "MD is boring" paranoia still enjoy it. I am kind of bored of this all-knowing-everything-is-down attitude. Think of this, the best players registered while main page was a total disaster and are still around...so let me worry about such things.
