Amoran, you can argue about what an awards ceremony is all you want. Your way isnt a fair way, keep trying to say it is, I dont agree with you. I gave my reasons why. You don't like it, fine. Whilst you might find it fair for people who have won not to win again, I find that hugely unfair, on everyone. If it were me, I'd be annoyed that someone had assumed I could not beat the person who won last year, and wasnt even given the chance to compete against them. That situation would be a farce. You bring my name into something, use me as an example and state that I caused people to be 'overlooked' just by the fact that I exist and can be voted for. I don't know about anyone else, but if I were one of the people you are talking about being 'overlooked' I would find that incredibly insulting. Z

The response to this really has been phenomenal. After today's rounds I am still left with 57 silver! Thank you to Kiley, Aelis, Peace, Neno Veliki, Miq, Zentao, Phantasm, Shantu, FireStarter, Manda, Chewett and Shadowseeker for today's alms! (sorry if I missed anyone) - The alms are being received with great thanks. Z I just remembered, I DID miss someone. Roland, very kindly, has donated a bunch of branches to be given out. I haven't given those out yet. - On this note, please be careful giving me resource type items due to how they clump together I will not be able to distribute. Branches I had none of so that was all cool in this case.

I don't like the idea of putting them in the shop just like that, nor the shop raffle thing....and as they can't be in the wp shop being coloured and all...then I suggest a deep wp that opens a shop level that has things like morphs in it. Z

Today a little gang of friendly faces ambushed me and covered Bob in Ribbons and stuck me in a santa suit with a bell to ring. So, despite my grumpyness, in this spirit I will do the following: I am opening the xmas alms for the poor collection. Over December, in return for my ringing my bell and being a goat in an itchy santa suit, you can donate silver to me and once a day I will disperse this to the poor of MD. I will give a silver to anyone and everyone I can, from the donations I receive, who I see has less than 5 MD silver in currency. If you want to donate, just pass me your silver. Once a day I will distribute it across the poor of MD. I will be at the Path of Lonliness with Bob most of the time as usual. I currently have 44 silver. One donation from Sagewoman, one from lashtal and 12 of my own silver is the starting pot. So my base is 30 silver that is mine, anything i have on top from now forth is donations to be dispersed (unless I sell something causing my base to rise - in which case i will update this thread) In the case that there is more silver donated than poor to give to, at the end of december I will donate whatever is left to where ever you all decide to put it via a poll. If anyone has comments suggestions or what-not then this is the place. Z

The player must be visibly active over the past year, and on the veterans list in game. * * *[b]Old Man Bunny[/b] - ...he's old. I think you people know him as Metal Bunny. [i][u]The Golden Protector[/u][/i] For the player who is viewed as performing the best in the role of protector(MP6) during the past year. The player does not have to currently be a protector. The voter should take into account the actions of the other protectors in the realm, rather than automatically voting for their own. Best can mean how helpful the protector has been, to how effective they have been in recruiting worshippers, this is at the voters discretion. * * *[b]Amoran[/b] [i][u]Helper of the Year[/u][/i] For the player deemed to have been the most helpful. This is open to any player, and is not restricted to LHOs. The area of helpfulness the player focusses on can vary, but due to the original focus of the award being to LHOs, it would be implied that the award is based on peoples helpfulness towards newer players. The voter should realise that even though they may not get on with, or have been helped by one of the nominees, this does not mean that the player is not indeed helpful. * * *[b]Princ Rhaegar [/b]- always helping and talking to new people and trying to unbiasedly (from what i have seen) help them along in their first steps [i][u]Most Addicted[/u][/i] For the player who just can't leave MD for more than a minute without needing a fix. * * *[b]Eon[/b] - Is Eon gone...gone...nope...behind you. [u][i]Outstanding Service to MD[/i][/u] For the player thought to have done the most to contribute to MD over the year. This can be in any field. * * *[b]BFH Lightning[/b] - for making a huge effort in publicising things, including MD itself. [u][i]Pre-eminent Role Player[/i][/u] For the player deemed to Role Play the best. The player does not have to stay in character all the time to win this award (though it may help), rather when they do role play it is to the highest standard - this does usually go in hand with remaining in character. * * *[b]Azull[/b] [i][u]Prime Quest[/u][/i] For the player seen as creating the best quest over the past year. Just because a voter did not manage to complete the quest, does not mean it was a bad quest necessarily, the voter is asked to take this into account when voting. * * *[b]Phantom Orchid[/b] - Nomminated for the first Dream Quest, which I thought was brilliantly diverse and innovative. [u][i]Rookie of the year[/i][/u] For the player deemed to have made the most progress since they started their account. The player must have created their account since 1st January 2011 (inc) and be between 20 - 365 AD at the time of voting. By progress it is meant a step towards a defined role or position (not necessarily official) within the realm, or integration within the community to a large degree. * * * [color=#0000FF]Agree with Awiiya, need a list. I don't know how old people are.[/color] [u][i]Top Techie[/i][/u] For the person credited as creating the best MD-scripted event or script. * * *[b]Fyrd Argentus[/b] - If this is about scripting, he's the bloke for it. Year long scripted story riddle quest and all that.

Indeed they do, but for me it just seems pointless unless it actually conceals your identity - or at the very least conceals it a lot better than it currently does. Perhaps it is the name that is misleading. In real life an illusion comes in all sorts from weak to strong. This game feature is a bit like looking at a stick in a glass of water, where as a valuable feature I think i'd rather something a little more...effective. Same goes for the other effects - maybe if those were more interesting I wouldnt be concerned with the identity thing at all. Z
