Clarification: Long ago, Khalazdad put his good half of his soul in a cube and gave that cube to Yrthilian (current king of GG) to hold. Recently, during the escalating war situation, Necrovion took over the GG alliance and pillaged Wodin (to be analyzed later). Hoping to get the attention of Necrovion and force them to give the ally back, yrthilian started to burn sides of Khals cube in the fires of the Stone of Twisted Souls. Very little attempts were made to stop this process, most present Necrovian players looking at it as to a show they had nothing to do with, Yrthilian continued to burn pieces from the cube. A conglomerate of shades, also known as the Summoned Army, assembled and started to attack all non-necrovion people close to the Stone. Not only that it was defeated repeatedly by Shadowseekers (GG fighter) army, even it had 80k attack and huge defence, but also it was attacked by Necrovion people it was trying to help. Being attacked by its own people and defeated by the enemy, the Summoned Army retreated and, again, no other atempts were made to stop Yrthilian from his actions. When all except one of the cube sides were burned in the fire, Khalazads good soul became bound to Yrthilian and his slave to control. Therefor, Khalazdad the White, is now under the control of Yrthilian and Khals zoul becomes unballanced. The reason i am writing this here is to remind you something you forgot, namely that you can change the course of actions, and that next time you should not complain when you don't try to do anyting about it in the first place.

Putting a cooldown on spells is not "dedicated" to DD or to a certain type of spells either. It is aimed to cooldown certain type of spellcasters.
Sooorrryyy for putting dd name in the anouncement, i only thought it fair to give a second chance to his quest. Since i won't punish people using their spells, that was the only thing i could do.
 
The truth is that if there wasn't for the massive hate for people that talk to me, dd would have gotten his citizenship a long time ago for other reasons (research discoveries) other than this sharade of things to do for the lab.

I am exceptionally saddened to be writing this but today I must leave Marind Bell. Due to a number of unreconcilable differences, refusal for additional discussion and to preserve our friendship I am leaving the land.

One day I will return, if the land will have me back, but for the moment I must leave to let him rule how he wants.

I will do what I can to help my friends in MB, and still am a member of the land in my heart. Advice is freely given when asked, so if any MB citizens want help, advice or anything else, you should still contact me, for I am one of you.

I plan to accept an invitation to SoTIS that Mur gave me for my work in MD if the offer is still open.

I am updating my quest papers, which should be done by Monday, introducing few new tasks, dedicated mostly for the players in their first few hundreds of activity days. Some of the quests/challenges that I develop will be 'playable' only during those gatherings.
Rewards will be appropriate :)
 
It would be lovely if other people would join in, participate and interact, perhaps create tasks and games of their own every now and then, in the spirit of MD birthday festivals.
Marble Dale Park is the place where players end their story mode stasis, so I hope this to be the start of 'newb-stimulating'.
 
Those evenings will also be a perfect opportunity for people to speak to me about anything in relation with the affairs of Marind Bell, I will be in a much better mood than I would be regulary.

no matter what is told about nad he does his job as water guild leader, he IS preserving as best he can water in different ways and methods, he is not hording water for himself but he gives freely to MB citizens and if this seems out of place remember that he is also a MB citizens and needs to protect and respect this lands rules and laws, this land must be first in his mind and it is
 
no matter the conflict it CAN BE resolved if you stop this war of attrition and by you i mean all sides involved, this is so very much counterproductive for MD
 
what if the benefit to MD if nad is banned? he is one of the most active players of this community, it will be a terrible loss, and no not just for MB, i say considering the number of active players is as it is

Why would you waste your energy trying to explain something he doesn't want to understand? Imo, you can use that energy better. You can knit a sock, jump in one leg, roll over, ANYTHING BUT explaining things to fang.

As you all know, I have not been truly active for quite some time. I have been trying to log in each day, say hi to old friends when possible, and that's about it. I've never pretended otherwise. When I logged on today I found this.

I have enjoyed helping craft items with Udgard, and doing small things here and there, but, I have simply not had the capacity to be involved in this damn game since my little sister ODed three months ago. I've been grieving, at a loss... occasionally my day would be brightened when, such as yesterday, I ran into Kiley and we had a few short laughs in game.

what is wrong is illustrate with what apend to
Spartiatis   you think its fun for that someone if someone dont want to roleplay for months long for someone to revive him? ... and that no big community effort you describe apen for that one?   if for exemple someone for some reason (its improbable i think) kill Tom Pouce and Tom Pouce is not revive within 1 week at max you MD would have made another Spartiatis off me, its mean i would do no alts, and just quit for good   saying: " thank you all for repaying all the goodwill i did put in MD"

Don't blame the whole land for something a member has done. Not to mention he used IN GAME resources and not some sort of bug or anything NOR did he break any rules. As for the alleged master mind...this is all morals and if YOU, as Necro, start to complain/care about morals then Necro is doomed.
If you blame the whole land then you're denying them the right to individuality. That is defo not right and in my eyes a bigger crime than you can imagine (not that my opinion matters in this but that's why we have the forum - to express opinions about everything :P).
 
Also, have you talked to their King about your issues? (they do have one and he is your equal so it's not like you would not want to speak to him because he's an inferior)

Azull, I understood what you tried there but this is defo not the way to "present the issue". You complained that the whole thing would have been a lot more fun if it would have a story. I agree but the one you just started is unrealistic at least.

Indeed it seems that you didn't understood the problem and I am sorry that I am still misunderstood. I will write some more here. Maybe it will help.
 
First of all, Nad complained repeatedly not me,  and all my quarrel is with him (see his posts).
Second, I repeatedly said that I will not deplete water, nor I want to. But I will go below the levels you impose if you collect before me (as you usually do).
If you took water from one place but left untouched another, I am an idiot to say that I will deplete. But I will thank you for it leaving some to me (don't expect anything in writing to all MB).

Just let me know what is his reason for growing his gardening stats (if I am not mistaken , it should be above 10 gardening) ?

So, as I am not part of MB nor I will ever be (I think I did applied once, maybe I am wrong) it is in my own interest to protect myself from not-so-fortunate events and deals or trades.
That is why I don't like when someone unknowingly puts an equal sign between MB & LotE (or other less unfortunate lands) in terms of tools and resources.
 
Indeed we are supposed to discuss possible alternatives here.
And the attitude "which is not MB's fault" is not helping. I proposed stuff and I still support changes for ALL lands. But I will not accept proposals of new "enforced" monopoles.
 
As long as MB does not try something nasty, I really have nothing to do with them. If we are to talk about balance, then lets keep it about balanced.

I am a new player and look like to share my findings.

I understand that MD is designed for people to go out and comunicate with other to attain knowledge and delelop within the realm. Although I find that some things would not be apropriate to ask and are too difficult to find for something that I feel should be readily availble.

An example of such would be how items work. In particular the ones you can pick up from certain locations. I have little to no understanding of how they work and it would not be appropriate for me to ask someone to tell me the mechanics of them. This is something that should be written down and easily found. There is no benifit to having to work out something like this.

How is it that if say I picked up an item to find out what it does, can I put said item back? The descriptions of the items are unclear and although they have stats there is nothing to explain what the stats are.
 
Other game mechanics are also either poorly explained or not at all. The times in which it would be apropriate to have to inestgate/ask/search for the answer to something would be; how do I get to this area? where can I find this item? I'm loosing fights, how do I improve? etc rather than whats the game mechanics on holding/trading/using/gathering/regen/fighting.

Some game mechanics should be withheld yes, ones such as how to obtain such spell, but not how to use such spell. In regards to the combat what determins a victory should be explained, but how to obtain a victory should be withheld. I still am only guessing what defines a victory and what defines a loss when fighting in MP3. In what kind of fight do you win and not know why?

In addition I made this forum account only yesturday. If anything is going to be offputting to a new player it's the significance of the forums. Most of the game should be in game, not on the forums. Without using the forums most of MD is empty lost and uneventful. A notice board and/or quest board should be easily availible in game and well displayed.

This is very crudely written by hopefully will allow you to see what kind of things make MD inaccessable. I was tempted several times to give up trying to work out how things work. But I'm stubbon and arrogant.

This is the reason. And people are even moving away from forums because of trolls and like Menhir points out: loss/loss situations which just waste time.
 
By further promoting things like killing, or spending lots of time on something which only one or two people use... I don't think there will be any increase in-game either.

During my early Water Dowser days and when MDA buckets don't exist yet, i was confronted both by Firsanthalas and Grido for dowsing (actually, Grido used the word "stealing") GG waters. I explained that this water dowsing is part of my role and made clear to them that I was not over-harvesting their resources, which Firs approved, but none from Grido.
 
GG people probably won't or can't complain nowadays because either:
 
- Marind Bell people were responsible enough to harvest water inside GG with discipline*, or
- GG people do not have tools to collect Water, and again, most likely it is "because" WE, THE MB PEOPLE HOARD THE WATER TOOLS**
- or both
 
* we treat other lands's resource limit same as Marind Bell's.
** according to No one's testimony.

It is because since Handy Pockets appointed me to lead this guild, I have dedicated myself a role of protecting Marind Bell's water resource as well as the other 2 non-water resources. Badges aren't really only for fancy, show-off purposes, you know. And I am not getting paid, nor my members, for this job.

I politely would like to suggest for an "add-on" to our current citizenship voting page.
 
I believe it could help concerned people if the current percentage (%) of vote be displayed/revealed next to or somewhere near the "X/Y | Voted already" detail, so we know how much % of land score (votes) are yet needed for the approval, and through this the nominee/s may clearly know if they still should hope or not (and/or try later).

I would like to know what gratitude you wanted to show towards fang (who made it to mp7 with his illusionist meteor), seig (who was sponsored with a spell doc as a reward for a quest that should've ensured him some punishment), and leixer (who got a drachorn in those days when GGs were rare for being 'persistent'. All he was persistant was at beating the crap out of the system by putting his finger in all the loopholes he could find and tearing the system apart.). I'd like to say that there were certain instances when I felt Eon was shown favouritsm as well but oh well he worked his way for what he got, even though knowingly or unknowingly a lot of people suffered because of him. And by suffer i do not mean skill damage or resource collecting. Other stuff. They are the most recent ones. There are a lot more names, players of the past. Reflect on it or ask around. People close to you will tell you how many older players can be added up in this list. Actually most of the former RPCs were shown favouritism till they took it for granted and started beating the system and things got out of hand. Wasnt that the reason why you kicked the rpc system in the guts? Because they became really arrogant? Why do you think they became arrogant? Because they had Mur on their side. Very few of them deserved that post. Many made it just because they knew you out of game as well.
Indyra is another huge example for favouritism. Lair keepers didnt even last for a few months.
