[/quote] So because one is not capable of being online 24/7 they should not be allowed to participate in MD events that take place within the game? This is one reason why HC should be changed. I get wanting to encouraging players to be more active and online more, but that should be done creatively by the comunity by simply having more events/games/quests/challenges. Also completely dismissing an idea because some players use to do them is not very helpful either. If you actually want to help us then please post ideas rather than just dropping them all instantly.

I find that it is literaly impossible for me to ever particpate in the HC. Do you know why? I don't have internet at home. I don't have a secure internet connection and am only able to get online during the weekends aside from the very few times I'm lucky enough to be able to get internet from someone else at home. I think the first stage is the biggest problem. You may feel differently but you are someone that has internet. You're capable of being online 24/7 to participate in stage 1. I feel that if we the players are wanting more fighting competition and spirit within magicduel. Then I think we need to completely do away with all of the heads stuff and focus on tournaments instead. Draw up a bracket that has players that wish to participate. Depending on the amount of players wishing to join in we can set up the tournament brackets accordingly so that there will always be an even number of players and no bye's within the bracket. Filling up any empty spots in the bracket with some kind of random NPC set ritual. Within these tournaments there should be round specifications of what is allowed/not allowed in rituals. That way every round your using a new more creative ritual and stops people frm abusing one powerful ritual. Examples: Loreroot creatures only, starting creatures only, archers only, drainers only, colored creatures only, no tokened creatures, etc. Each round would take place for 1 week allowing all players the time needed to participate. If its easier then the tournament organizer could talk to players and their days/times they are able to be on and set up matches for those players at a set date and time. This way if matches are able to be finished sooner then the next rounds could start up faster. I personaly have always enjoyed a good fighting tournament. I'm a little dissapointed that nothing like this has been brought in thus far.

  8. Well generaly in instances like this they will fix the problem and if it was major they will post after the fix to let people know what was going on. At least thats how most games work with issues.

I have played in many roleplays with many diverse characters. So if you ever wish for any advice be sure to ask me, but be warned. I will only teach true roleplay. I will not teach any godmoding crap that you see most noobs using. Literacy, keeping an open mind, and long sequences are a must for great roleplay.
  15. I think Bobs blooming is kind of a spoiler and shouldn't be said here. As it should come as a surprise to players seeing it for the first time in game. As for the rain animations, I could see it being implemented as a way to show the weather. So if the weather is storming then it would be raining on any scene that is not inside of a building. I would think that showing the weather would be a good reason for the extra little bits of animation.

  17. I completely agree with Lashtal. I would think some sort of stat damage should be dealt for depleting resources. If you deplete resources completely it shows that you lack the skill to realize how efficiently you are working that item. Take real life gardening for example. Lets say your growing lettuce. Knowing that keeping a certain amount of those lettuce leaves still alive in that garden will produce more plants, you would logicaly keep that amount there to increase the productivity of that plant. If you just cut off every single lettuce leaf and wait for the next batch to regrow, then your not tending to the plant properly, and you have a chance of destroying that plant. So I would also suggest not just a stat damage for depletion, but possibly lowering the regeneration rate for that resource as well. Making it take twice as long for the resource to regenerate. There should also be higher risk for depleting that resource multiple times. Lowering the regeneration rate of the resources even more for the constant miss-handling of the resource.

  19. I might have a suggestion as for he heal spells. Rather than having them reset only once a week. Have the spells refill daily by the average amount of active MP3s within x amount of days. This way there would be enough spell counters for these protection spells to be used at least once on each of the true MP3s that would need these protection spells to help them out. Maybe having this counter discount any MP3 with the same IP address as another user to prevent alt abuse.
  20. I actually believe otherwise. You should click on random portals and see where they take you. You will be able to explore more in the realm and you will gain expierence from the situation.
  21. I would think that an easy way to do this would be for people to choose thier top three and giving a certain amount of points for the spot they are in. For simple standards lets say the points are: 5 points if your that players top vote, 3 Points if your thier second vote, and 1 point if your thier third pick. The player with the highest points would win the vote. So for example: Lets say the competition was for Eon, Krioni, and Mya Celestia. I voted them as 1. Krioni, 2. Eon, and 3. Mya Celestia Menhir Voted them as 1. Eon, 2. Mya Celestia, and 3. Krioni Krioni would then get 5 points because I chose him as first and 1 point because Menhir chose him as 3rd for a total of 6 points. Eon would then get 5 point because Menhir chose him as first and 3 points because I chose him as second for a total of 8 points. Mya Celestia would get 3 points because Menhir chose her second and 1 point because I chose her 3rd for a total of 4 points. Eon would then get first place with the higest points, Krioni second and finaly Mya would get third place. I feel that this kind of system would be good for easily figuring out who deserves what position without forcing players to only pick one of the contestants.
